Hi Mark,

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

With the publication of the description, I understand that you get a black screen on your Windows 10 machine and you want to download Windows 7 create a bootable media. I will certainly help you to the query.

I would be grateful if you could help me with more information:

Did you get the black screen after upgrade to Windows 10?

I suggest you first try to follow the suggestions of Sharath Srinivasa responded on August 7, 2015 in below mentioned thread to get the black screen in the operating system of Windows 10 fixed.

To do: Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

However, if you still experience the problem or for the future, you can download Windows 7 using link below:

Once the created bootable media, you try to install Windows 7.

    Hey,.

    It seems that water damged your laptop or at least some parts. In the worst cases, you need a lot of new pieces of equipment, but I don't think that an authorized service provider can help you diagnose this problem.

    On the Toshiba site, you can search for them:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > find an authorized service provider

    Contact them and ask for help. They will help you as much as possible. :)

  • Lenovo X 201 laptop computer black screen and LCD does not detect after windows startup

    Suddenly, my Lenovo Thinkpad x 201 shows only a black screen. I checked the LCD screen with a light and I could see a dark image of the Thinkpad logo and then it go completely black. But when he is on safe mode, I saw my desk in black screen (when I use a light).

    I've updated the BIOS also using an external monitor. But still the same. I'm completely at a loss. Please someone help me to slove this problem...

    It is due to the inverter of the screen which has stopped working, it controls the backlight of the LCD/LED screen part when it breaks it causes the backlight to turn off and wont go on then you would need to have ups re-place with a new one.

    Here's an example of how it looks like:

    It may seem different on each model, but that's just one example of a lenovo T41.

  • Reference Dell 5558, 8 beebing on startup, no black screen and works with the beebing

    Hello

    I have a problem with my Dell insipiron r15 5558, I bought it 3 months ago. But last month my laptop beep 8 times at startup. When this happens, I usually only the power out of my laptop because of the distracting noise and turn it back on. Once I powered on / off power for 3 - 4 times it don't beep plus one works very well. Anyone know what could be the problem? I ran a Test LCD and an analysis of Pre-boot system, it was running fine without any problem, I used my warranty and sent the labtop to dell here the last 2 weeks, they sent and didn't tell that it is no problem with my laptop, but it is still beebing 8 times by clicking on the power on

    BTW. I'm on Windows 10 pro 64-bit

    Hello

    8 attention beep is usually to do with the problems of LCD, as you already know.   If diagnostics are passing and the system has been returned to the warehouse for the evaluation, the only thing I think it could be is a connecting cable of the LCD screen.  You said sometimes works very well after starting several times, then maybe it's the cable.

    Have you tried to hold the screen in different positions when it turn on?   Just to see if guidance works better and maybe the cable is a better connection.  You can check if the cable is loose yourself.  Here is a link to the online manual for the Inspiron 15r 5558.  You can use it to see how a screen is normally replaced, but instead to replace it you would just check the connection of the cable to make sure it's tight.  NOTE: Make sure you follow the safety instructions and information in the section "before you begin".

    Let us know if you find a loose fitting and if the adjustment of the angle of the screen change anything when you try to turn on the system.  I hope it's something as simple as a bad connection and you can correct it.  If the ringing continues I recommend to contact Dell support again and have them send it back for repair, unfortunately.

  • App stack (Toad for Oracle) cause VM to black screen and disconnect?

    When we attribute our Toad for Oracle (12.6.0.53) stack, the user will receive see the connected virtual computer, but before I get into the office will get a black screen and disconnect.

    Now, if not assigned, the user can open very well.  When we assign the battery, apply immediately, the app looks and works completely fine.  So the app itself isn't a problem, but something that happens when you try to attach to what is.  How do I investigate what happens?

    Then I temporarily mounted a 2.5.0 environment and recreated the Toad for Oracle stack with the 2.5.0 release model.  And Yes, it works!  I imported the battery in my 2.5.2 environment and it is attached to the connection of the user without any problem of disconnection.  I think that this remark made in the SR as well.

  • Vista 64-bit Black Screen of Death, with just a mobile available slider, the system does not start in safe mode.

    My system worked properly on 25 April and then something happened and now the machine comes back with "Start menu options" but will not start in one of the listed options, modes result in the same outcome.  System also starts on the Vista CD.

    System begins to boot normally, shows the tracer Green Windows at the bottom of the screen, then the mouse pointer appears and moves but the rest of the screen remains black.

    That's it, that's all what he will do.  I checked the settings of the computer and ran the diagnostic tests available and everything seems to go fine and passes all the tests.

    I worked on my own computers for over 20 years and never been stumped before, but I must say this is a first, and I have no idea what to try to do it now.

    Help or direction is appreciated.

    original title: Vista 64-bit Black Screen of Death, with just a mobile available slider, the system does not start in safe mode.

    See if there is a way to tecover clean your data before doing a restore to conditions of factory that will wipe the drive of all.  You can use Knoppix http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html with a good ISO as Copier: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm as well as a blank CD (which you will need to do on another computer).  Starting on this disc and lla should give you enough access to the system (if you do not have any other means) to backup your important data.

    So since you seem to have no other alernatives, you can try retoring the original factory computer options. However, if it is a hardware problem as could very well be the case, you can still encounter problems after even this drastic step.  Then you will need to consider in a reputable computer repair shop (NOT Geek Squad or or a any of these big store centers) or maybe even go back to the manufacturer for repair.   Check out several options and compare the costs, quality and guaranteed and then make your best decision.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

    Windows XP Home Edition startup problem

    I have Windows XP Home Edition, but the computer does not start at the top.  I get a black screen and a blinking cursor.  I have an XP installation disc.  I was in the Recovery Console to recover all of the standard tasks, but nothing helped.

    Brand, model and model number of your PC?

    Are you able to get into the BIOS?
    What took place prior to this problem?

    Need help with windows defender. all my files folders pictures everythiing disappeared and I find myself with this black screen and it is not all good: o)

    I don't know why vista windows no longer charge, or when the files and folders disappeared

    How Windows Defender is on this problem?

    Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
    Data recovery:
    1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.
    2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.
    3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:
    http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html
    Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm

    Download the Vista software from the link above.

    After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.

    Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

    Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.

    Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

    When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

    Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

    Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

    Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

  • At the start of the laptop goes to a black screen and says invalid partition.

    Original title: can I PRO 1-2cpu (IBM Laptop) Xp.

    • Not long I Formated my Windows XP PRO 1-2cpu, thinking that he would have run faster, not a blue screen crash and eliminate any viruses that could in fact, now that its formatted I can't use, whenever I start the laptop it goes to a black screen and says invalid partition, I don't know what that means though.

      so my question is there a way I can restore the computer back to normal? However, I don't have a recovery disk.

    A lot depends on how reformat you your hard drive.  Most manufacturers have a recovery partition on the hard drive that can be used to reinstall the operating system. Access you this by pressing a button that appears briefly at the beginning of the boot process.  If you have reformatted the drive c: partition only you might be OK and can get by using this recovery partition.  Otherwise, if you reformatted all the hard drive, then your only alternative is to get a Windows installation CD, boot from this CD and reinstall Windows.   Contact your computer manufacturer for advice.
