• Cannot create new projects in RoboHelp 7 HTML

  When I try to create a new project in RoboHelp HTML 7, the Type of projects field is empty on the new tab in the new project dialog box.   OK, this problem is solved, the problem was of RoboSource Control 3.1. I realized that I had installed RoboSource Control 3.1 during my trial installation (the installation option it is checked by default). By running again the trial download (thank God I taped it), I was able to uninstall RoboSource Control 3.1. (I could not uninstall by using the Tech Comm Suite installer or the Add/Remove feature in the control panel)

  Then I ran the installation Tech Comm Suite and reinstalled RoboHelp 7 (without installation of RoboSource Control 3.1).

  RoboHelp 7 HTML now works again. Note that only the HTML version has been screwed upward - Word version ran OK, I just don't need.

  Finally, I just want to say, Support technique Adobe * SUCKS *. After spending half an hour on my first call on September 26, "Ken" directed me to the web page of Adobe's Support and told me to enter my problem myself - thanks for nothing, Ken. He promised a tour of 24 hours around, which didn't happen.

  When I called back on 29 September, I lost another hour with Natasha and Sam, that had run me CSClean, which wiped out my registry for Acrobat and Photoshop entries, forcing a reinstallation of these products. Of course, who did not help me at all.

  Adobe, please stop outsource your Support to the India - these guys don't know anything!

  The answers to this question on the "Customer Portal" has been slow, indifferent and unhelpful. Shame on them!

  I write this fix this problem on this Forum, so the next poor slob may be able to solve their problem by themselves like I did, because the Technical Support will not help you!

  I was pulling the presentation ppt to a network drive, so he didn't fully assume.  I saved the presentation on my desk and imported again and it worked fine.

• "Your bootable USB key could not be created there is not enough space available on the disk.

  I am trying to install a partition of Windows 7 with an ISO on a flash drive with Boot Camp Assistant. Everytime I try it however, I get the error "your bootable USB key could not be created there is not enough space available on the disk. The flash drive that I use for this is 64 GB, so I doubt that the issue has to do with not enough available space. I have already tried the obvious, like reformat the flash drive and retry the write. Is there something I could hurt or do differently to make it work?

• Project Manager fails to cut after the new method to "consolidate and transcode.

  I use first to create trailers and other equipment for a game studio. For the record, I use dxtory ( http://exkode.com/dxtory-features-en.html ), with the first/AE allows you to change the images and SOUL for rendering. A project may consist of several hundreds of GB's worth of the source footage. When made with a given project, historically I used method 'trim' first since the project manager to store copies ready images - as it is intended. This can turn a project with 400 GB of source down to a cup which is only 80 GB or more. This has worked well in the past, but because of the recent change to the new feature to "Consolidate and transcode", this operation will fail when the current creation.

  I created a full repro this for anyone who would like to try.

  I'm using Project Manager, select the following options:

  This should lead to a MB avi ~9.9, which is 15 images of the larger video, the panoramic nature views slightly to the right.

  Instead, I get the following message after the end:

  Looking at the directory for this new project "successful", the size of the file is the same as the source of the layer and without cropping footage actually occurred.

  This method worked 100% reliable before the new feature to "consolidate and transcode. It seems to be quite broken in the current one, at least for my purposes. I forgot something, or is this a bug? I am currently having to install an earlier version of first trying to work around this problem, but this obviously isn't the solution.

  You receive this warning as the selected Format (DNxHD MXF OP1a) does not support your combination of the size of the image, frame the combination of rate and on the ground. For example, DNxHD will support sizes 1280 x 720 or 1920 x 1080, while your source file is 1280 x 800.

  Try using a combination of Format/Preset that will support your settings of the source file. For example: Source of game (Mac) ProRes or CineForm Match (Mac and Windows).

  'Serious error' message is far from generic for troubleshooting purposes. Jim has posted this link because the crash news that samsandwich provided reports "Exception code: 0xc0000005.»

  Crashes on launch that begin to occur after the program has run successfully, the first thing I would recommend must clear preferences.   I used PRE8 (elements of Prime Minister) and PSE 8.  Was never really able to Pre8 to work. (I'm happy with Elements 8).  I decided to bite the bullet and buy the items 9/PRE9 together (good deal on Amazon).  I removed 8 elements, PRE8, and a brand new installed v9 for both software (may have been waste of money!)

  Scenario 1:

  I can't get PRE9 to create a project that I can change.  (to be honest, I had a similar problem with PRE8, but it I could create, but it wouldn't let me open it).  It creates the project that seems and then comes the Editor window, but just about everything in the editor PRE9 menu are grayed out.  The 'new' and 'Open (existing project)' with the exception of the menu items.  No way for me to add video clips to the project, etc..  So useless!

  Scenario 2:

  I enter in elements Organizer, select a video, and then in the "Fix" menu, choose "edit video".  Editor of PRE9 rises, again as before, only 'new' and 'Open' menu items available.  Then he said to me 'corrupt project, cannot open file' (or something close to it)

  Any suggestions?   This seems very essential and fundamental, I am amazed, I have problems in the right basic tasks after a cleaning installed.

  Setup: Dell computer Inspiron 17 laptop, processor Intel i7, 4 GB of RAM.  PRIOR to version 9.0.3 elements 9.0.1,. Windows 7, 64 bit.  I have the installation carried out by Dell out of the box. I pretty much only use this PC for items and PRE (and web browsing - which can cause of course who knows what is downloaded on your PC).  I use the MacAfee virus checker.  I have it turned off during the PRE9 installation (not during the installation of items 9 However, forgot to turn off)

  Reference Dell 'out of the box' would mean that most of your drivers are up-to-date. Update video and audio from the web sites of the manufacturers. Your symptoms are very similar to those of the other users here and disabling McAfee during the PRE9 solved their problem and can heal yours.

  I'm generating HTML using RH (X5.02) help file for Word (Word 2000). My current CHM needs links to DOC or XLS files and I can't work properly, because this help file is not too big, so I decided to import my HR for HTML project as stated in the documentation of such hyperlinks are supported.
  1. If I try to import my word source files, I like cannot create the database because the directory may be read-only . I talked with my colleagues below, tell me the directory is not unalterable, that all goes well and there is nothing to do with them.
  2. If, in despair, I try to create a new project, I'll by selecting the type of output, then on the screen where you specify the name of the project, the location, the name of the first subject. When I click on "Finish", I'm back for the type of output file and nothing else happens. If I use Windows Explorer, my directory for the project has been created, some files are there (with extensions of DPC, glo, hpr, syn, and css), but no project file.

  I think I'd be inclined to uninstall and reinstall of HR to ensure that your connection is used with admin rights.

  I guess that your budget model has periods within the date range of the model project, between the start date and the completion date of the project.

  When you copy the template to create a new project, enter the start date of the new project as the start date of the model. If your start date of the project is different from the date of beginning of the model, the system will try more end date and also, try moving the fiscal years, for those who will canned the same length, but from the new project start date. In these cases you can either create budgets in other periods and then initial budget model.

  So I have this 'project' I have worked since for quite awhile. I know I couldn't do it, but to save time, I reused a lot of code from the original project for a few other tests. So I just continued to add directories to this project.

  Now I need to take some of the best level vi and make a separate project, so I can store the source with the other files on our network in real engineering project folder.

  The high level vi is easy, but how do I make sure I get all down level vi and dependencies?

  I mean besides from the top level and moving it, then run to see what is missing?

  Is there an easy way?

  Use a 'Source' Distribution in the project that contains the high level of page VI (s) and configure it to "preserve the hiarchy."

  When the distribution the rest it will pick up the upper level screw and and all the screws under move them to the new location and link to point to the new location.

  Good people you've heard of this one before:

  I can connect to my basic admin account, but not others.  I tried to create new user accounts after you delete the old user accounts but system would not apparently carry out process.  I get the following warning:

  Service user profile Service failed to connect
  User profile cannot be loaded.

  I tried all of the recommended patches (see list below)

  1 ran all appropriate steps as stated in the article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947215 - no joy
  There is not other profiles listed in the register except the administrator account on the basis and since I couldn't connect successfully to a user apparently newly created accounts, the profile has not completed the process of generation.

  2. I have not ran the SFC system - no joy.  He replied with the following: Windows Resource Protection did not find any breach of integrity.

  Then... of other big ideas?

  The message is correct. Start Internet recovery (command + Opt + R during startup) and click on utilities-> disk utility, click on the outermost disk and click first aid or repair.
