    Hello

Don t have had similar problems with my laptop but maybe the display hinges are loose
Usually, these hinges are hidden behind plastic chassis and you would need to disassemble the laptop to get access to these parts.

In general I put t recommend disassemble this laptop pretty.
First of all, you will lose the status of the guarantee if you would remove the plastic cover.
Secondly, you may damage or break this, and I think that that's not worth a risk.

If I was you, I'd spend low and ask a technician for assistance.

Is it possible to point me in the right direction to get the screw in replacement for my Envy 17 - jo13cl so that I don't take no chance when I get my new hinges installed? (Received courtesy of Shaun, Manager of cases in an HP support) I looked in the manual of Maintenance HP Envy 17 and it just lists a number for a screw as 720260-001 kit, but it does not say whether or not it is all-inclusive. I saw screw on the line kits, but some say that they do not include the screws for the hinges of the LCD, which is what I most need. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

    Hi @gnordmeyer2039,

    Thank you for your query.

I understand that your case manager took provisions get screw replacement for your computer laptop 17-j013cl of envy and ask yourself if the screw kit includes hinges of the screen.  As befits a complete kit, I guess that it will contain these screws.  As you said the description does not specify what is exactly included.

When I looked at the maintenance and service guide, I noticed that the hinges of the screen have a separate part number 720238-001.  Please note Chapter 3, page 3, section 28.  HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC HP ENVY TouchSmart m7 Notebook PC HP ENVY 17 Notebook computer Touchsmart Maintenance and Service of Guide.  You can communicate with your case manager to clarify the matter.

  • Repairing damage dv6: the display hinges

Well, to put it simply, my screen DV6 was open beyond its limit and ripped off.  This thing was sitting for a while, I didn't want to mess with it, until yesterday, I found that it still works fine, except a small gouge in the corner of the screen... so... I would like to see if I can get this thing back together.

The hinges out of the laptop and have a plate towards the inside and the outside. Flanges from the outside have been uprooted and still attatched to the screen itself. More thick, inner flanges torn bosses screw out of the rear plastic shell.

I tried to climb through JB weld, but the plastic is simply too weak to hold even temporarily the screen long enough to try and epoxying the other side of the hinge back together.

At the flanges of hinge outward that the screen itself is around not broken, I'd get a new rear cover of the screen and swap everything out. But, as the metal hinges themselves need to be replaced, I'm lost.  Could I do it myself? I don't know if I'm sailing around I can find a diagram or something that could give me some clue. Someone did he do this type of repair before?  I'm not really that worried for the plastic hinges covers, but it can be other welded parts bradded or plastic, I'm not able to replace...

You figure now, man would hide their valuables before you broke up with the girlfriend of crazy...

    Hey AndrewH85,

I see that you have a problem with the screen and hinges.

The best way to go here is probably find a technician to replace it for you.

It's much more complicated than many people think, especially if you have a problem with the LED/LCD screen inside the screen.

Now, I recommend to replace it yourself. You can call HP @18004746836 and see if they have an option to help you fix it.

    THX buddy!

    Hi Dave

I can imagine that it can be difficult to find these pieces for this older model laptop. eBay is the right place to search for such parts. You can try to contact the service provider allowed in your country, but I'm pretty skeptical, they will be able to order these parts.

But I think they can help you and give you the exact order number. Using this issue maybe you will be lucky and find this Googling pieces around.

  • Laptop stripped screw hole?

So, I got my HP laptop since December and often use it for school work. Recently, I noticed one of the screws fell at the bottom of the laptop. The screws that fall was directly below the hinge of the screen on the right and I noticed that the screen is not as robust recently. < br > < br > I tried the screw, the screw back in, but he just continued spinning. I tried the screw with the other holes and others live with the defective hole and all screws are working it's just a hole that seems to be broken. Any advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated because I don't want the screen falling.

    Look at this manual:

    Manual

What is your laptop? The screw we're talking about is the one in the left corner higher to pages 55 and 56? That we won't in the hinge. The hinge see page 59 and 63.

It's the part for the hinges of the screen:

    720548 001

    $25 on eBay:

However, if you only had this laptop since December, he is likely under warranty. I'm going to bump this up to HP and see if maybe you contact via PM on this Forum. Any of the guarantees. I would like to emphasize that it is a chance to repair it cheaply and easily now before it does more damage.

  • Equium A200 - how to remove the display?

    Hello.

I need to remove the screen on my Equium A200 but there seems to be no screws to enter.
None of the guides I found works for this model.

No one knows how to do?

    Thank you
    Dan

    Hello

Disassembly of the laptop is not really easy it s really complicated.
If you have no experience so you should not do this, you may damage other parts

But as far as I know to remove the keyboard and the top cover Assembly.
Then you can remove the four screws under the rubber covers. This allows you to remove the LCD screen bezel.
New measures, you will need to remove the screws from the display hinges.

As I mentioned above; It's not so easy and be careful if you would remove anything

  • Lenovo Y50 always have the hinge breaking the problem?

-Does anyone know if Lenovo Y50 is still having the screen display hinge break or blow up the basic problem?

There are a few things to consider here-

    (1) Yes, about 20 people are are complaining here, but I'm sure that thousands have bought this laptop. I think this is a defect of manufacturing, but only to a specific line. (I know should be fixed, but I don't know if it was)

    (2) you can always opt for another laptop or buy this one and follow the loosening of the screw (ONLY if the streams of your screen and hinge when opening).

I had great experience with laptops lenovo 3 (Y560, Y510P, Y3Pro) and that's why I'm here to spread this positive information and help around the community. Whatever you choose, good luck and happy playing.

  • Hinge screen loose

I need help to repair or replace my hinge on my Pavilion zv6000 laptop stops.  Can someone help me?  Thank you

They go bad on laptops great desktop replacement.

This is an auction ebay for the hinges.

    auction

Even if you don't buy these there is a nice picture on the auction.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

Pages 5-3 by 5-39 illustrate pretty well scroll down. Then, you open the display unit (plastic around the screen frame) and replace the hinges. Hinge bolt at the bottom of the main part of the laptop and then go back inside the housing of the image around the outside of the screen display. You remove the assembly the hinge of the screen's existing and override one of both new hinge side.

Before you do this or buy parts ensure that the place where the hinges screw onto the main body is still intact, so that it will hold a screw. If these holes are stripped or if there is damage to the metal frame it, you really have to buy a whole new lower Assembly (cases) for the laptop. Parts are inexpensive for the dv6000, but to replace the structure whole lower mainly designates a complete reconstruction of the laptop. If it's just the hinges, the repair and replacement is only moderately difficult. You have not even need to reroute the wireless antennas or anything like that.

  • Satellite T110-121 - broken the hinge/bracket

Anyone know the part number of a set of display/hinge for the T110-121 media?

Mine broke last week and I can't seem to buy a replacement or a suitable alternative.
    Thanks in advance.

EH... it is not easy to get this information, but, in my opinion, you don't need it. all Satellite T110 have the same hinges and there is no difference.
Different can be only the motherboard and some other hardware components like Ram LAN wireless card, HARD drive and so on.

Basics like hinges are the same. I don't know where you live but try to use Google for your country and check if you can find the hinge Set support or laptop computer Toshiba Satellite T110 hinges.

Also, check eBay for your country.
