Hello community,

I downloaded a few soft, which calculates the temperature of the CPU, motherboard and hard drive on the Internet. It has approximately 60 degrees Celsius. Is this normal? I ask this, because it's very hot in my left hand and it becomes impossible to use the computer comfortably. I did not "open" the laptop and it has not failed to land of nui. My laptop configuration: i3 3110 M 8 GB of RAM Windows 8.1. Suggestions, ideas? I apologize for my English afwul and thank you in advance.

The aspiration air on the A30 grids are in the bottom of the unit just behind the battery. There are two racks, and you use the hose of vacuum cleaner on each grid.

  • Toshiba laptops and overheating with Linux

If you have a Toshiba laptop that seems to be overheating in Linux (like Ubuntu Linux), it is likely that this is due to bad "DSDT tables" (which refers to such things as energy saving) in the laptop.

Each computer has a description of material data that are used by the operating system. In many cases, the DSDT tables have errors that does not allow for Linux make use of powersaving. In addition, some devices may not work because of the bad DSDT. You can check if your DSDT is OK or now by following the instructions at
    http://UbuntuForums.org/showthread.php?t=1036051

You can perform this task even in Windows (extracted from the DSDT from your computer, recompile it and seewhether there are a of errors.) With help, you can easily fix most of the errors and 'install' back the fixed DSDT).

You can google for "toshiba dsdt" and 'toshiba dsdt overheating' case, for example.

Thanks for this useful article. I m watching carefully what you write here, and I'm happy here is someone with a very good knowledge of Linux.
With your help, I think a lot of people's decision made test Linux on Toshiba laptops and try to deal with the new operating system.

  • MacBook Pro 13 "overheating

MacBook seems to be overheating.  The hot spot is in the rear right corner.  The fan seems to be running and reacts to changes in rpm.  I downloaded the fan control smc reported the temperature either 172 * F.  I fell speed of 3200 RPM fan and the temperature dropped to 162 *.  Then I ran at 4000 RPM fan speed and the temperature dropped to 142 *.  It all started a couple of days without heavy use.  I have used only to check e-mail or browse the internet and similar, no game.  Any thoughts?

  • Satellite P15-S470 it turns off by itself - overheating?

    Hello

3-4 years old laptop Toshiba Satellite P15-S470 my father seems to be overheating because it turns off by itself. It can happen at any time: in Windows XP Media Center 2004 (SP2 and all updates), at the prompt of password of BIOS at idle, at Windows startup, etc.

Also, I can feel the fan blowing hot air hard left, the area of the battery being hot and the CD/DVD ejected hot.
Hot note does NOT mean too hot to touch with my hands/fingers.

I used a flashlight to look through the dark wind, and he looked clean (not so dusty or obstructed upward). I removed a few small items to make more air space for the winds, and that seems to help after a few minutes.

Is there a program/software for checking laptop temperature sensors? I checked the CMOS area, but you could not like office machines. Site Web de Toshiba does not have one either.

Are there ways to remedy (out of warranty)? I guess that the fans are still working because I can hear it turn very hard (quieter, if it's cool). I'm afraid it will get worse when the weather warms (Los Angeles weather) in particular this weekend when temperatures reach near 100 degrees (F).

It is only in low 70 in the kitchen downstair on a glass table. The laptop started doing this a few weeks ago, but it seems to get worse when the weather warms. In addition, the laptop is usually [powered on site thanks to its power adapter.

Battery use is rare (will try to remove the battery, if the problem occurs again to see if it causes the problem).

    Thank you in advance. :)

    Hello

You said that the laptop is about 3-4 years of age?
Hey dude, it is a very long time and in my opinion, the laptop must be cleaned professionally.
For me it s a clear case. the fans don't run with maximum efficiency and therefore may not cool properly the laptop parts.

I recommend contacting specialist and portable and it assistance. He could clean the module cooling grids and the fan inside.

I bought my laptop Satellite A210 - 11 p in September last year, but over the few months Ive had some problems with it.

1 could be an accumulation of dust in the radiator. An FSL can remove it for you, or you can blow with a can of compressed air.
2 power settings? Perhaps the Toshiba Power Saver is set to decrease intensity when loading in the system tray.

  • Satellite Pro L10 stops spontaneously

Old L10 of 4 years of my wife (Windows XP) has recently developed a habit to stop without apparent reason.
There is no error message. It doesn't seem to be overheating.

The stop is not associated with a particular software. It occurs when it is to use.
It is causing her great irritation and since she is waiting to resolve the problem I'm under pressure!

    Any ideas, please?

Did you look in Event Viewer? Maybe, you can find the reason why the laptop stops.
    The laptop closed or off?

If the laptop shuts down software may cause this. Maybe a virus or something else.

Make sure that there is sufficient free space around the laptop. Otherwise, it might be overheated.

  • Tecra A3 crashes without reason

I got my tecra A3 laptop for about 2 years now. Everything was working fine until about 4 or 5 months when my computer started to freeze, the only solution is to reboot the pc.

To begin with it only happened once in a while but now it happens every time, usually within half an hour to turn on my computer. I can thing no reason for this behavior.

The computer doesn't seem to be overheating or something like that. Does anyone have ideas for this problem?
    Thank you
    Dave

    Hello

    > The computer doesn t seem to be overheating or something like that
    Why are you so sure?

For me, it looks like overheating.
Especially if the temperature is too high, the laptop either freezes or the laptop stops automatically.

Have you checked the RAM modules?
You can try to download the Memtest86 utility to check the memory.

But first of all, I think you should check if the laptop freezes if the new OS was installed!

  • Two questions with Satellite A660-12th

    Hello

I'm afraid that my English isn't the best but I think in English I get more answers, the German replies are alo ok.

I have two problems, perhaps they are connected somehow.

The first problem is that my laptop heats verry. In Windows 7 there are three options of different energies (maybe you still know) one is performance-based, so it is very hot. The second is called balanced and the third is energy saving and heat not verry, but the performance is bad. The heat is not the main problem.

The main problem is a blue screen error that happens all by working or playing sometimes :) with graphics intensive programs of verry / games. This error is much more often in the first mentioned that in the energy saving mode. I thought that it is overheating, but would then a blue screen and after blue screen the system starts new imidiately and works as ever for the next 10 minutes, if I closed the laptop and let it cool down work much more time or sometimes gets not even blue screen crash.

    Thank you.

I tried to send a German response, but the forum stopped me to do. It's the same answer in German: http://pastebin.com/3tLgyi0E

English: your problem certainly seems to be overheating of the device due to stress on the graphic chipset. Go through the basic troubleshooting steps first. Make sure you have all available Windows updates installed and the latest drivers for your hardware, you can find. If the laptop still has a valid warranty, consider contacting Toshiba to make it fixed.

Depending on how old your laptop is, you may have a problem of dust. Accumulation of dust and mud inside the laptop can prevent proper cooling, causing overheating you encounter. Consider to remove the bottom panel of the unit and spray compressed air into the radiators and fans to clean all the dirt. You can use software like SpeedFan to monitor indicators of temperature inside your laptop too.

Failing that, you can consider buying a laptop external cooler. It is a basic specialized laptop sits on to keep cool during periods of intensive treatment. Most have an extra fan that really helps to dissipate the heat.

  • Satellite M30x cutting abruptly

    Hello there!

WHAT TO DO! I need help,

In September 2004, I bought my Toshiba satellite m30x, and now already is messing around and cutting abruptly. I was so in love with my laptop so far and I was considering buying a toshiba extra, however now that it happened, I did research on this forum, forums and other websites, and it seems to be a common toshiba stop problem because of the way laptops are built so that dust gets collected or usb becomes funny etc.

It's so horrible. It is impossible that your laptop just lives for 13 months and she is... it should last a lot longer! I bought it in Germany and I believe I have two years warranty, I'm right or not? But can I only consider instead of German repair then? Or how this work.

I don't want ppl to fiddle around with the laptop to make it all work for another couple of months, what is recommended in this situation. I am dependent on this laptop and now it does not work! I am really disappointed and mad!

    Please help me! ME ADVISOR!

    Best wishes and greetings,

    Petra. :'(

    Hello Petra

I understand you very well, but you know, the laptop is a high-tech machine.
It seems you laptop overheating. This problem occurs if the cooling fans are dirty. Fans can t work properly because of the dust. During the use of the laptop fans suck a lot of dust. In this case, you will need to clean it up. Please use the vacuum cleaner to clean the cooling fans.
It is a fact just that after so long of lepidopteran 13 of its use, you must clean the fans.

Now on a guarantee: as far as I know Toshiba makes many kinds of services, for example an extension of the warranty (3 years)
I think that the normal standard warranty in Germany is about 12 months.
