My computer is a Dell 8700, channel quad 3.4 gig ram 12 GB, Nvidia videocard W/2gig Ram, drive 'C' Solid State 240 G on which is installed an OS Pro 8.1 Windows with all latest updates. Welcome to the HP community @Budjet1,

I noticed your post on the white pages of your Officejet 7000 Wide Format printer print test, even if the print and Scan Doctor shows everything to check very well with the printer. I wanted to respond to tell you about my suggestions. It may be a problem internal to the unit, or perhaps with the ink system and recommend to try the steps in the guide I posted below.

If the test still pages print as white pages, try to contact HP to discuss a replacement for the printer.

  • print small squares instead of numbers/letters

having an intermittent problem with both my HP (laser & ink-jet) printers.  I've updated printer drivers, but still this problem - where small squares instead of numbers and letters sometimes appear.

I read that the "print job wants to use a character that is not present in the selected font (font) and the character set' - that I sort of understand.  but I don't understand how/why that it just started to happen (I use these two printers for several years).

and especially, I do not know what to do about it.  even when I save files as PDF files on my desktop, the small squares always appear...

  • OfficeJet 7000 Wide Format pri: HP Officejet 7000 Wide format printer will not print black ink

I'm looking for a solution fix what is an occasional problem with our Officejet 7000 and arose once again today. The printer will print any black ink. I did the procedure to print alignment and cleaning print head as well.  I tried to clean the evacuation on the real printer cartridge area as recommended by some responses from support group.  When this has happened, I can fix it usually wiping the area where the ink comes out of the printer cartridge, but nothing works today.  The cartridge is 3/4 full.

Other than to throw this printer and all the ink cartridges, I bought already for later use, suggestions for what else someone could solve this problem?  There seems to be a lot of people who have posted similar problems in recent years.

    Hi @P-architect,.

    Thanks for the reply.

The only print head is CN643A, the 6500 and 7500 HP 564 cartridges as well usage. I searched the HP Print Store and found that you really want to be looking for a KIT of REPLACEMENT FIELD HP 564, and the part number is CE001A. The replacement of the field Kit contains a set of ink which are used to set up the print head. It's not like there are none currently in stock, but it is a clickable link to resellers who may have one available.

    I hope this helps!

    Thank you.

  • HP Officejet 7000 Wide Format print black lines on photos

HP Officejet 7000, model # E809a, began to print horizontal black lines, at equal distance about 1/2 in., through photos.  I ran a cleaning cycle that showed felt clean, without burrs, without black lines.  Please advise...

    Hello MerlotLady,

The lines are clearly visible and look like, they are caused by the inkt not bleeding very well through the paper. In this case I advise to use another document. I checked the HP website for you and HP recommend the advanced use of paper. If any kind of HP Advanced paper will do, either gloss or high gloss as long as it's the HP Advanced line. A copy of the recommendation below. If this will still not solved the problem, best thing to do is contact your local HP support. Let me know if it helps.

  • my HP Officejet 7000 wide format fails to print

The format is Windows 7.  Connected network.  All the cables and connections are solid.  Power is on and the printer seems to not work normally.

When a print job is sent to the printer, the print head sounds as if it is printing.  However, no printing appears.  No or flashing led error messages occur on the computer or the printer. Pages through the printer completely in the output tray.  The printer is ready for the next print job.  No printing.  Any advice?  Print head died?

PS: I normally print in grayscale color.  I tried the color and it will print color.  May require cleaning?

Then it is just printing blank pages?

  • Want 5530: Printer calibrates whenever I turn it on

I bought a second 5530 want all-in-one printer.  No problem with the first, but it has begun to insist that I have to calibrate whenever I turn it on.  It wastes ink, paper and time.  Whenever I turn it on, the printer displays a message that I have installed a "genuine HP recycled cartridge.  The cartridges that I bought were not labeled as recycled and I only shop at Amazon or Office Max.  Even if they are recycled, the machine recognizes them as 'genuine HP cartridges', so that they are not inferior counterfeits.   I am particularly upset by HP support never return my emails on this topic.  I always bought HP printers, despite the increase in the cost of their ink, because they worked well and were easy to use.  However, I'm about to change my mind.  If a printer stops working correctly, I would expect a direct response from the manufacturer.

    Hey @betrom,

Please get back to me regarding this issue of calibration. Because your HP Envy acted like you have been putting in place for the first time and jumped from the alignment page there is a chance that there is debris in the printer or a programming problem occuring in your printer. Can I please you follow the steps below to check the hardware on your computer.

Step 1: Check paper path and rolls:

Can I have it please click here. Once the support document opens, please run through the Solution one and two. Once you confirm that the paper path is free of conditioning or debris, and clean rollers can I please have you go to the next step.

    Step 2: Verification of cartridges:

Then please click here. Once this support document opens please run through the Solution of two, three, solution and six Solution. This includes all sub-steps under three listed Solutions. If the alignment problem persists after you complete the steps proceed to the last step.

    Step 3: update Firmware:

The Firmware is programming into your printer. Essentially, the programming is the "brain" of your printer and control that made the printer and how the printer it. If there is a corruption in your printers programming it can cause performance problems. So, I will make sure that your HP Envy runs the latest version of the Firmware. Please click here for the steps on how to update the Firmware of the front of your printer printers. Your printer must be in a ready state for update the Firmware. Once the update completed successfully, please test your machine to see if the alignment problem is now resolved.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • Small square boxes, which appear on empty lines (UPDATED) - the question is, how to get rid of them?

As for my display name "all I tried were in use"-when I registered on the Adobe site to use the Lab browser, I tried something like 10 or 12 user names and finally gave up and is gone with ' all I tried were in use "-my name is Bob

    ------------------------------- UPDATE --------------------

The problem, small square boxes showing on the lines Freetext tool reviews, is not limited to blank lines, as I originally reported here. These boxes are appearing at the end of each line. It does not matter whether or not the line break is hard or soft, if the line is empty.

Please read the original message, taking into account the fact that the problem occurred at the end of all lines.

Also - Here's a screenshot of part of a comment area, showing the square lines. I didn't show the entire box because the material above the area I'm showing is a tad private or confidential. Here is the picture showing the boxes - note that there is no box at the end of the last line in the comment.

    -Original message-

We have a copy of Acrobat 5.0. and so far he has done what we need, which is not much more to add bookmarks, links, and some retouching. I know it is very old and I know that things are changing. I hope that this has nothing to do with the version we use. I think it is a problem of compatibility if this is a problem with the newer versions of PDFs with reader 'edition' with 5.0.

I have small square boxes appear on empty lines. (read my update above -boxes are at the end of all lines, conditional jump or jump) )

I'm a programmer (37 years and more and more aspects of the processing of data) and I decided to learn PHP programming "language" to add some treatment of some of my web sites on the server side. So, I found a pretty good php to PDF manual and would use.

I quickly found that the PDF didn't have one link and no Favorites, so I've been adding them as I search for a particular topic. I am also add comments and notes to document things not in the original manual or add comments that would help other programmers (who know other languages) to fit like the PHPs think - for example: in all the other languages I know (perhaps two dozen) to get rid of a file, 'delete you '. In PHP "unlink you" it.

I added a lot of comments and notes like that and when I view the PDF in Reader (on this computer I 9.4.2) I see little boxes square on empty lines. The lines were created when I pressed ENTER twice to insert a blank line between paragraphs. (again, read the update at the top of this message - boxes are at the end of all lines, conditional jump or jump)

How can I get rid of them?

They are not present when I open with Acrobat PDF, only when I use an Acrobat Reader.

They are also not present if I look at the comments using the comments navigation panel - in other words, they always show on the page, but they do not show in the copy of the comment displayed in the navigation panel.

They are not present in the Notes or when I use one of the shape tools (square, circle or line tool) to create notes. They are no longer present in the Comments of Freetext tool

They clearly show where there is a line successive characters feed/carriage return - but how can I get rid of them?

I JUST THOUGHT of SOMETHING - I realized that I had not printed the pages on which I placed the comments and I was wondering if the boxes appear when you print the PDF file with reader - they don't. They are not present if I use Acrobat, not a reader, to print the same page.

You can provide any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Please don't tell me to get a newer version - an expense that is simply and completely out of the picture. For us, it is a depression, not a recession - we are independent and our businesses have been severely hammered since 2006 - we are at about 1/4 of our profit before the big players trashed the economy.

    Bob

P.S. Do you know that you can have a heart attack without pain in the chest, shortness of breath, or left arm pain? Well, you can! I had two and one almost killed me because I had no idea it was a heart attack. You can read about it here first one. Convey this, it could save a life.

My second heart attack took place October 4, 20112 - he started, about 03:15, as did one, with a headache. It turns out the implanted stent in 2002 had been completely clogged by too many cultured tissue. The doctor put another stent inside one.

Problem solved - it is a police problem. Apparently Acrobat cannot manage specific fonts and it is best to stick to a very small selection of font - Arial, Helvetica, Times Roman.

I have not test a large number of fonts. If I do, I'll post there results here.

I got it about 2 months and it was working fine, but now all of a sudden he lost his printing function and instead try to fax? I have even a land line phone, so I do not understand how the printer got confused autonomy. The print option is missing options.

In addition, it seems impossible to take HP for assistance. The last time I tried, a month before, was because my money of £30 back ever happened, I've been hunting for days and no way to contact HP, so finally in desperation, I started trolling the FaceBook page of HP, all of them, several times each day, begging for counseling and that finally worked. Hi @Terriann1,

I understand that you use a HP Officejet 7612 Wide Format e-all-in-one printer with a Windows 10 computer and when you try to print, the computer thinks you're trying to fax. I would like to help.

  • The number 0003 in a small square appears in some texts. How to get rid of him?

I'm building a website and when I preview it with Firefox, a small square with the number 0003 it appears here and there in some of my text. This particular icon does not appear with Chrome and Safari.

Ok. I solved the problem by re-typing a few words before and after the symbol 0003. This symbol was confusing because it shows no visible sign before or after it. Firebug detects it, but without offering any explanation. In any case, it seems to copy and paste from another application.
