HP Officejet 4634: Some print programs, others not

As the title suggests, some successfully print programs; with others, nothing happens.

For email: Thunderbird will not be printed, but eM Client is fine.

For the other files: free Office Writer does not print anything, but Acrobat Reader's print PDFs without problem.

The printer is connected wireless. Logic, explains that successful programs need to use a different method for this printer queue files that programs that may not print. Nothing does not appear in the queue for the failed programs.

Is it possible to determine which method is that, and why is there a difference? Everyone knows about this problem?

PS: Thunderbird stopped only print emails when I changed my previous to this printer. The previous printer was also a HP - I don't remember the model number, but it took 364 cartridges.

Well, I myself have solved by doing a clean installation of Windows 10. It turned out to be impossible to completely remove it from my old printer (Photosmart B110), which I believe must have been interfere with the operation of my current printer (new) (4634 Officejet) because of the garbage left in the registry. After the clean install, everything worked.

I found the solution after doing a clean install of Windows 7 on a spare computer on the same network as the printer and then upgraded to Windows 10. This computer all printed successfully of all programs.

I know that things of the old printer was left, because I couldn't remove using the Panel of control or remove programs and there was the folder full of files relating to the old printer.

I just bought the Officejet Pro 8625. My last 2 HP printers had a preview option print that I can put by default, so I can listen to excerpts or my custom print job to afford to cancel or specify if necessary pages. Now, I'm wasting paper and ink not knowing how the work will look like before committing the print job. Miss me that it allow me to preview before printing? HP has a software update to resolve this issue, or they didn't neglect it? Why they would remove this option? I can go back and is no longer buy HP products more because of this.

    Hi @troendlyj,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I hate to be the bearer or bad news, but I think that's going to be the role here today

The feature print preview in previous versions of the software is more included. Some programs may have built based on preview before printing for you to use, but if not it not there no other option available from the printing software preview.

I hope that answers the question, even if it wasn't the answer you were hoping for!

  • Everything on my screen is enlarged, and some windows/programs do not properly fit because of that. What can I do to fix this?

I restarted, taken the battery, stop down and the problem persists. All my documents are completely expanded, I opened all the windows looks as if it is enlarged, but it is not. If I click on the maximize button, the window half fits on the screen.

You have poorly defined display resolution. A few reasons that this can happen:

    1. a person has played one more game and the game reduced the resolution.
    2. that you have installed a video driver from Windows Update by mistake - and it is always a mistake.
    3. the video card is a failure.

Since you did not provide a response to the first Question (see below), I can't guess what happened.

The first Question of troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what has changed between the time things worked and the time they do not have?

Try to set the resolution to the correct according to the instructions below. If this does not work, post is back with the answer to the first Question and some information about your computer (desktop? laptop? video card? monitor make/model, if your desktop?).

1 start Orb > Control Panel > appearance and personalization. Click personalization, click display settings.

  • Problem with the HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer: clean the print heads each time it is turned on

    Hello everyone,

the printer HP all-in-one Officejet Pro 8500 (A909a - product n. CB022A) clean the print heads whenever I turn it on. This problem affects any HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer, it is not a problem only of this one I bought. It is a boring bug and annoying because each power clean print heads on involves two bad disadvantages:

    1. waste of ink (each heads cleaning process consumes little ink);
    2. too much time (2-3 minutes) to prepare the printer after plugging.

I upgraded my printer with the latest firmware available on the HP site (firmware ver. DLM1FN1006BR), but the bug is still present.

    At this point, I ask:

    1. There is a way (or procedure) to disable automatic cleaning this useless to all power on?
    2. Can we communicate with the HP engineers or tell me how to contact directly one of them to indicate the bug and request a new firmware updated?

Please don't tell me to leave the printer on all the time or that the printheads to each cleaning power is normal behavior! Where then are power and ink savings claimed for this printer model?

I hope that a solution to this problem. Thanks in advance to everyone will help me!

Maintenance when the printer is turned on is normal and is required to keep the printheads in good health (not blocked). See here for more information.

With respect to energy savings, the printer automatically goes to low power mode when the don't feel not for awhile.  It is not necessary turn the unit on to save energy.

  • Audio play back well on some devices, no other

A very strange thing that happens with an audio track that I'm editing for a video, with the help of hearing and the first. This is audio from a file video .h264/AAC. Everything seems fine on my machine, but when some people watch the video or listen to only the audio track, the sound becomes glitchy and barely audible. He plays for some people very well, not for others. I knew that there was a problem, because someone told me that what they meant to their end. I can't reproduce the problem on my computer.

This is where it gets strange: on mobile phones, it is almost always a problem. However, if you use a headset or speakers, the audio is great. Disconnect the headphones/speakers and the audio is glitchy again.

I've tried several things: editing and export Quicktime 7, Audacity, Audition, Final Cut Pro 7 and always with the same results. Any format/codec, compressed or not compressed: it's the same thing if it's an aif, wav, mp3.

Here is a sample of the video on Vimeo:

    https://Vimeo.com/134962721

And just the audio on Soundcloud:

SonkaInterviewEdit by AgentGrifray | Free listen on SoundCloud

Has anyone ever come across anything like this? What could cause an audio file work on some devices and others not? Why a device would not be able to play a file via its internal speakers, but can, when it is connected to speakers/headphones?

    Thanks for any help!

The problem is that the audio file that you have produced is essentially a mono file of double track. However, there is a reversal of phase on one track compared to the other. So it seems to read OK on a stereo system but the audio will almost completely cancel on a system that only plays back as mono.

Therefore restate your audio by reversing a track. Re-record and it should then probably play OK on everything.

HP Officejet Pro 8500 a Premium does not print the docs of the computer, but will display a test page.  I constantly get a message that the computer cannot communicate with the printer.   Not only it will be not be printed docs, it will not print web pages using 11 IE or Google Chrome.

I used print and Scan of doctor, he always reports there are no questions and print page one same test so I can not print anything else.

Whenever I want to print, I have to restart the computer.  After the reboot, I have a chance to print.   This problem started on February 15, 2015.

My operating system is Windows 8.1.   I have unintalled HP, rebooted, and then reinstalled the software software:

    OJ8500_A910_1315 - 1.exe

HP Print and Scan - HPPSdr.exe doctor

    HPSupportSolutionsFramework - 11.51.0049.msi

All versions were last uploaded on 4 April 2015.

I have a home wireless network (router Ubee DDW366).  All other devices in the House will be printed on the printer of 8500 has no problems: 2 Toshiba laptops, 2 Android phones and 1FireHD.

The desk top is installed with a network card Netgear, I don't know the model, but I had it tested by a PC technology to verify that the card works.   The card and 8.1 of Windows have been installed on January 3, 2015.

I have run virus scans and analyzes malware.  Whenever they show that there are no problems with my desktop computer.  What kind of desktop? Specially designed for my listing of... without brand computer parts store.  ASUS motherboard P6X580 Premium.  Now I will probably get hacked!

I'm at my wits end.  And it's frustrating when I need to print something and the system hangs.  I often use screen printing to a word document to save in order to restart... but then I lose all sorts of features when I pick up what I needed.  It is also a time consuming.

This printer we served well for two years and I have expensive cartridges pending; another two cycles of recharge.

    Help?

Addendum: can I scan with the HP printer help.  I open the HP printer assistant, he "gets" the printer information, then I select "scan a document or photo" and the printer answers.   I have no problem with the sweep.

It has been awhile, but I played on something you wrote.  "There could be a software conflict with the HP software" everything worked very well... impression was shifted at best; just didn't know if it would work.  So I would eliminate a program, reboot clean, try to print, and then reinstall the software.  I finally found the culprit.  I had a program running in the background, occasionally.  When it ran, HP does not print.  Stop the program and I was able to print... Do not have a problem since I found it... I do not say that it was a software to share files... so I replaced since this program with something else that doesn't cause problems...  It took a long time and I couldn't work the question every day.... but I can say that I have problems printing for the past 5 days!  I can print with confidence.

    Hello

You can run the printer troubleshooter. Convenience store solves some common printing problems.

If your computer has problems printing, try using the printer Troubleshooter to solve the problem. He made sure that a printer is connected to your computer, and it checks for common issues such as whether the printer has enough paper and toner to complete printing your document.

Open the printer Troubleshooter by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooting, and then click Troubleshooting. Under hardware and sound, click on use printer.

  • HP OfficeJet 4500: Avery Template 5434 does not print

This morning I tried to print from my HP OfficeJet 4500 of the averytemplate 5434 and will not work.  Printing sounds and acts like it is printing, but when it comes out it is empty.  I printed from other models, even regular and excel docs, and they worked.  I even tried restarting the computer and the printer and it still doesn't work.  I'm totally stumped!

    @MaryMar

    Rats.

    Model of the beast.

Model is really just a table - should be a "piece of cake".

    Right.

The model of 5434, at least on my system (Windows 10 Pro) and using the Avery software, works as long as I was able to create a test and then print the contents of the bag on plain paper.

I just watched this model on the Avery website - it is a sheet of 4 X 6 inches?  Well...

Try the media type setting to "Photo paper" in this case - maybe it will work.

Search for 'other photo papers' media, everything is allowed in combination with paper 4 X 6 inches.

To check, set printing preferences - if the combination is not allowed, you will see a small triangle yellow next to the selection when you try to adjust the settings.

    Good luck!

  • Officejet 5610 - umpteen tries, but some printer software won't just UNINSTALL

Have to / want to completely uninstall all the HP printer package in order to do a clean INSTALL.  I have Windows XP and this printer has been working well for a few years now, but stopped a couple of weeks.

Slow death: initially, could not print but Scan ok & the window Solution Center was fine.  Then Scan will not work, but still the window SC was fine.  Now, the entire batch is dead.

Last week, tried everywhich way suggested in various forums, including it, but some of the software with respect to this printer just will not go away.  Tried on (in no particular order)...

    • uninstalled via the control panel configuration/add or delete - it's just a dead-end; does absolutely nothing, but can see the entries of HP products.
    • Registery cleaning... no obvious improvement
    • install the HP Web site for what he will clean or recognize the persistent stuburning software.  The process has given the option "Uninstall" which appeared to be successful while he continued to 'install' which failed.  All I get is window without options black HP Solution Center.
    • repeatedly tried to install using the CD that came with the printer... Failed!
    • tried pulling my hair don't go out several times along the way... no obvious resolution!

End of my teather... Any further suggestions as to how I could get rid?

From the display of the query, someone suggested unintsalling HP printer and Adobe Flash and then first re - install Adobe Flash using IE (no other browser Firefox especially not!) and then re-installing the printer.

Has done exactly that but still no result, although slight improvement that I now have small white boxes in the window completely black original HP Solution Center, but still nothing works.
