    Hello

If you clean the print head and still does not ink, you may have to replace it.

Other cases, I have seen defective cartridges or tubes providing no ink in the print head causes this problem. I hope this isn't the case.

I am not able to print red graphics or text, it comes out yellow. I suspect that the part print head Megenta is blocked. I tried to use the CleanPrinthead of the printer option, but this does not seem to solve the problem. I saw that a new printhead can be purchased, but the messages say that the printhead on a printer of 5520 is not replaceable. Can you tell me if the print head is replaceable on 5524 printer and how do I go about this?

  • change the printheads on officejet 8500

the carriage does not move to the left automatically change the printheads. Where is the OK 'button? Is it the OK that appears when you press the icon of ink on the screen?  If so, holding a 5 seconds contact screen with this OK does nothing.

    Hello

What is your exact printer model?

If it's the HP Officejet Pro 8500 (A909a), you should press and hold OK Phisical once we open the door of prithead.

For HP Officejet 8500 Wireless or Premium (A909g/A909n) you need to press and hold the * button for 5 seconds.

Once the door is open, take a look at the screen, it should tell you what exact button to press.

My printer does not print Cyan. I replaced the ink cartridge. Clean the print heads. Has taken the print head and it was blue ink on it. A picture of the problem. All other colors will be printed.

    Hello @Cynusps

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

Looks like you did more troubleshooting for your question.  I do not recommend remove the printhead again and clean the copper contact us about this.  Ink can get on the copper contacts not cause the print head to get a good signal of the printer and cause poor quality.

Print heads are also a replaceable part in the printer and must be replaced as cartridges from time to time.   Here is a document concerning the fixing of problems of quality Print for the HP Officejet Pro 8500 all-in-One Printer Series.  If you fill the document with no resolution, you may need to replace the print head.

    How can I fix it?

    Hello

Try to remove the software completely by clicking on start > all programs > HP > HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 and follow the uninstall option.

Then go to control Panl > programs and features > uninstall a program and remove reminders of the software (HP Customer Participation, Readi Iris OCR, etc.).

Download and install the latest version of the software below:

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a Premium: my printer driver has changed and it's HORRIBLE

I have been using my HP 8500 a all-in-one with a few years now with no problem.  Day before yesterday, I met a problem: when I tried to specify certain pages of a document to print, I get an error message.  However, if I chose to print the entire document, it would print.  I assumed that my driver to be updated, so I downloaded from the HP website.  WHAT A HORRIBLE MISTAKE IT WAS.  My scanning utility has changed, I can only print even when I choose to print an entire document.  I can't print at all in an Excel worksheet.  I tried uninstalling the driver and re-install.  I DON'T want to network this printer, but now whenever I have try to reinstall the driver, I can choose to connect via USB, but on the pop - up next, it does not give me the option to proceed.  It gives me the possibility to 'come back' or 'jumps' USB connection.

    What the hell is happening?

    Hi @LMKos,

    Welcome to the HP community!

I hope you have a pleasant experience here.

I want to help you with driver/software problems that you are having with your HP Officejet Pro 8500 has e-all-in-one printer and your computer Windows 8.

It seems that your software is may not be installed correctly, in addition to the common issue of 8.1 to Windows Installer automatically update Windows drivers.

First of all, with the USB cable plugged in, we want to remove all instances of your printer in Device Manager (so when you plug the USB cable back in during the new installation, it will be seen as a new device).

    1. Open your start.
    2. Start typing 'This PC', it will come under results of research. Right-click on computer and select Manage.
    3. Click Device Manager on the left side.
    4. In the main part of the window, locate in the following categories for all HP entries: Bus USB controllers, printers, imaging devices and other devices.
    5. If you see your HP printer in one of these sections, right click and select Uninstall. Keep an eye out as well for all that said device unknown and let me know if you see this at all (these are also well uninstall).
    6. After have removed all entries of HP, unplug your USB key and leave it unplugged. Do not reconnect the USB until you are asked when reinstall us.

Next we want to remove printers from the printers and devices folder.

    1. From your desktop, or drag from the right to open the bar of charms, or press Win key + C on your keyboard.
    2. Select settings in the bar on the right.
    3. Select Control Panel
    4. Under hardware and sound, select devices and printers
    5. Right click on each icon you see for your 8500 has (even if there is only one) and select remove an instrument, or delete.

Once this done, allows to make a cleanboot from your computer (this turns off all non-essential startup programs, so if there is another program running that interferes with the installation we can avoid it).

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Once the computer restarts, try to download the HP printer install wizard to complete the installation for you. It will automatically detect your device and install the appropriate software.

Please reply to let me know if that solves the problem.

    Good luck!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 WIreless. Change print heads

try to change the officejet pro 8500 wireless print heads.  Can't find existing print heads.  Press on * does not.  Have turned machine off and restarted the procedure - once again I can't locate heads.  My machine seems to have located differently than in the manual or video print heads.  Help, please

    miles1938,

With the Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless ink cartridges are in the lower left front of the printer compartment.  We can access transportation, which maintains the print heads by lifting the scanner from the front, not just the scanner cover.  To move the cart and the print heads to the left so that we can access it, press and hold * key for about 6 seconds.  If the transport is not moving then we can try to move manually.  Click here for references.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 manually change the number of rings for fax operation

I have a new machine which has a minimum of 6 rings before it works. My Officejet Pro 8500 has a max of 6 rings before the fax works. If the fax machine starts as the answering machine trying to record a message. It is a disaster.

How can I maually change the printer to recognize fax obligations to 7 rings or more instead of 6?

    concerning

    Barry

Good explanation.  The answering machine and the printer do not coordinate what to do when a call comes in.

There is not a way to change the setting in the printer for more than 6 rings, but in my view, there is a solution to your problem.  Line 1 on the printer port is for connecting to the wall outlet you mentioned.  The port of line 2 is used to connect a telephone or answering machine.  Scans and fax number are transferred to the computer through a direct usb cable or via an ethernet cable connected to a router.

If you connect the answering machine to line 2, the printer has built in the system so that the printer can decide if the call is for the answering machine or fax machine and act accordingly.  It won't work if the answering machine is connected to the printer.  Why don't you give that a try and let me know what happens.

  • Officejet Pro 8500 printhead don't align

Recently bought an Officejet Pro 8500.  But followed installation instructions the printer can't align the print heads.  Have reinstalled the print heads, heads cleaned, etc.  but in vain.  Auto diagnostic test indicates the two print heads are good.  If I click 'OK' when the printer gives the alignment fails message. then I can print a document, then the printer goes through the whole ending print head alignment process again with the same failure message.   Any thoughts on how to solve this problem? Thank you.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 won't recognize change cartridge

Replaced by just bought new (out-of-the-box) Cyan XL requested ink cartridge but always error message to replace the cartridge.  Message will not change any I've tried:

printer a. be able to turn off/on several times.

    b. deleted/returned all four cartridges

For everyone who has this problem with the rejection of 8500 ink cartridges known good.  I finally found a solution from a third party.

    (1) remove the ink cartridge the printer is rejected.  Look inside the printer ink cartridge and see a small rectangular plastic button to halfway between the ink tube and the drive of chips.  This sensor plastic is causing the printer to reject the cartridge.

    (2) look at the cartridge to the side coupling of the plastic button and a bulb rubber at the end of the ink cartridge.  The pressure in this PEAR rubber is supposed to press the plastic button in the printer. But for various reasons, it does not define the sensor to 'off '.

    (3) to fix the problem, place a small piece of rigid Ribbon on the end of the ink cartridge to cover rubber pear.  DO NOT cover the ink tube or the well sensor chip.  The Ribbon should be about three inches long and ¾ in. wide.  Use the stiff Ribbon and tape.  Not flexible table.  The goal is that the Ribbon increase the pressure of the PEAR rubber is supposed to confer on the probe plastic button in the printer.

    (4) replace the ink cartridge in the printer. Problem resolved 98% of the time.  If this is not the case, there is something wrong with the sensor inside the printer switch and this solution will not work.

    (5) good luck.  See you soon!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500, change to yellow when heated

Hi, I use my Officejet 8500 to print T-shirt heat transfer. When pushed to 350 degrees, I get a slight yellowing of ink. In the past, I used Epson printers and had similar results. This could be corrected on the Epson by slightly reducing the amount of yellow ink applied, with the Epson software you can set each individual color individually, IE: Magenta + Cyan 0, 5-10 yellow. This would correct the problem on the Epson, and since the problem is the same, I think it would solve my problem with the HP also. Unfortunately HP software do not allow me to adjust the ink levels as the Epson has done.

Is a HP software or a 3rd party that would allow it? Do you know of other possible fixes? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

I couldn't have the 7410 driver to work, but taking your head, I've tried a few others. The driver for the L7600 did the trick and allows me to make adjustments to individual color, I need. Thanks for the help, Mr. Headrick!
