Pavilion Elite e9105z Disc error (BIOHD-8) motherboard is also bad.
I have an e9105z Pavilion Elite 3 years with windows 7. About 6 months ago, I began to have freezing problems. Finally, I ran diagnostics on this issue and found that the hard drive was bad. (BI0HD-8 error code) I ran the disk check, and it seemed to fix the defective sector. In a few days after that the whole computer just died. I tested the PSU and it was good. By pressing the button start has no effect. When I plug the thing that happens, is that the green light on the power supply turns on. It is now a paperweight.
I understand that HP has been using lower Seagate hard drives and motherboards and shipping them knowing that they were wrong and now I'm stuck with a $600 paperweight. I would like some satisfaction of HP but I can't yet talk to them without charge.
Anyone has had problems similar to mine, and if so have you been able to solve it with HP? I'm little about as upset as anyone can get. I bought several HP products. How to get to someone? If nothing else, I want to say thank you shipping shit they knew was bad. Any help would be appreciated.
Please hold me.

Windows 7 64 bit continues to freeze without error on HP Pavilion Elite m94021 desktop PC. He'll go sometimes for several hours without freezing it sometimes minutes. The problem seems to become more common.
Thanks for the reply and information. I had read the document before and tried different options, including a resumption of systems.
I brought the PC to a specialist, so far, they have not been able to find the problem. Would it be the Mo or graphics card? -

Hello.
in 2010, I bought 2 hp Pavilion elite 020nl
I had to replace the video card and the powersuply.
Now I bought 2 new hard drives to replace two C WD Blue 1 TB drives
My problem is that I can't install win 7 on both machines, I get defects such as
-can not configure windows to run on this computer-
the original hard drives are Seagate 750 GB
After looking at the seagate, I see written firmware hp34
This means that I have to buy seagates? or HP seagates?
is there a way around it?
needles to say I am quite frustrated with all this
Thank you for your time and excuse my English because it is not my native language

installation of w7 on Pavilion elite 020nl
Hello:
The only suggestion I can offer is to try the following if you have found that windows cannot be installed on this hardware error...
Download the drivers from this link below (first or second file listed - 32 or 64 bit depending on the case).
Extract the files on a usb flash drive.
With the flash player and the installation of W7 media connected to the computer, boot from the installation of W7 media.
After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.
You should now see the storage driver files listed.
If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.
Follow the prompts and hopefully, W7 should install.

Replacement for HP Pavilion Elite e9250t HARD drive
I get an error message saying "A disk in a RAID 0 volume is a failure".
I plan to replace both drives, currently, to 500 discs with a capacity higher than as 2 TB each. The Pavilion Elite e9250t supports 2 TB disks? And can I install them with RAID, so that my data is protected?
Hello JMHP,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.
I understand that you have questions about your desktop PC HP Pavilion Elite e9250t supports 2 TB disks and whether or not it supports RAID. According to HP Pavilion Elite e9250t desktop PC product specifications and configurable Options , your computer supports "2 TB (2 x 1 TB) 7200 RPM SATA 3 G (3.0 Gb/s) ' so the answer to your first question is 'YES', it will support a 2 TB hard. As to your second question as to if she supports RAID, indio motherboard (which is what you have) supports the following:
- Integrated RAID controller: P55 (same as previously introduced application ICH9r RAID)
- Steps to configure RAID (internal link to setup for P55, even the steps of configuration for ICH10r and ICH9r)
- Intel RAID solution is called Intel Matrix Storage Technology (outside link)
- Only some models indio compatible ship RAID (see datasheet for your model). Compatible RAID means that the system is ready to be configured for RAID 0 or RAID 1.
- Migration from 1 to 0 is supported by material in the world.
- RAID modes supported *:
- RAID 0
- RAID 1
- Additional resources:
- Overview of RAID
- Intel Matrix storage technology (outside link)
* NOTE: three hard disks requires a RAID 5 and RAID 10 four hard drives. While the hardware can support other RAID modes, only RAID 0 and RAID 1 modes are supported on models that include this motherboard.
I hope that I have answered your question to your satisfaction. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

HP Pavilion Elite HPE-270e cannot update the bios
HP Pavilion Elite HPE-270e desktop PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
I have a problem running the sp49903.exe that contains the last update of the bios for my pc. My antivirus is disabled, no other programs are running, I am logged in as administrator and also tried to run as administrator, but that I always meet the same problem. It runs and I click Next and then I agree with the terms of the license agreement and then click Next and then I get an error message: (the contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable file that you are trying to run has been damaged. If please get another copy of the file, verify its integrity and try again.)
My latest version of bios is 5.28 and I'm trying to update to 5.29.
HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 270e Desktop PC product specifications
Software downloads & Driver - HP Pavilion Elite HPE-270e desktop PC
you try to download a new copy of it?
I did and it worked.
try to download and try to install on another PC and see if the error is the same. It will not install on another PC, it checks to see what the BIOS is the first. But the error you report no has nothing to do with the BIOS, it tells me the downloaded file is corrupt and since I just tried to download and install and it worked, it tells me the file on the server is good.
Good luck

Hi all!
I would like to replace the original hard drive came with my desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-500f with an SSD, but when I tried, I got the error message that my SSD drive was not big enough. The original hard drive is 1.35 TB. What size an SSD should be to replace the original CT 1.35 supplied with my HP so that I could use the 1.35 disc as my second drive and the ssd as my main drive?
Thank you!
Hello
Yes I think a 240 GB SSD would be sufficient. Using the hard drive for storage is a good idea.
These articles HOWTO HP should be useful.
You should be able to install the SSD in the existing hard drive cage as it is put into service for three hard drives. Use a 2.5 "to 3.5" adapter. You also need a SATA data cable.
Don't forget to create the external recovery media and backup your data.

Win7 64 bit and computer Pavilion Elite
I have a Pavilion Elite 9753uk with a NVIDIA Geforce GT220 graphics card that willl not work with win7 64 bit, latest drivers are suitable, but it needs a graphical BIOS update which does not always have to be made available, Nvidia forums full of unhappy people!
He will have to buy a new card, not in the game, but would need a duel monitor setup, suggestions please for a card that won't break the Bank, works with Windows 7 and 64-bit.
Thank you for your sensible suggestions.
After a verey frustrating weekend of research into the problem, I find that there is no solution to the incompatibility of the HP Pavilion / 220 Nvidio (N11071) and 64-bit win.
Not wanting to spend money on a new map to see the same error occurs, I'll now wait for win7 SP1 (ormaybe even 2) in the hope that a workaround is provided.
Thanks for your help

USB ports do not respond after boot to Windows 7 - HP Pavilion Elite HPE
I turned on a HP Pavilion Elite HPE this morning and none of the USB ports work under Windows 7.
Mouse and USB keyboard work well in the BIOS Setup. But after Windows starts, it is as if he found neither.
I tried to start Windows in Safe Mode and last known good Configuration and the behavior is the same, the mouse and keyboard do not work even if they do it in the BIOS.
I tried a different mouse and keyboard and Windows behavior is the same.
Now, I would like to have active remote destop. Difficult to solve without an input device.
I found a solution for Windows 7 x 64 failing to detect any USB device on all ports USB to a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-500f.
After that backup, read and edit the registry remotely to run the utility of Microsoft Devcon registry run key, Devcon announce an error message 39 for USB hubs. Enter 'Windows error 39 usb hub' in a search engine led me to the next web page that describes the resolution of the problem. I removed the UpperFilters also well described and restarted key and until then. -See more at: http://www.tricksguide.com/solve-device-manager-error-code-39-on-usb-controller.html

BM.exe on a HP Pavilion Elite d5200t ATX?
A few months ago, I have a HP Pavilion Elite d5200t ATX with pre-installed Vista 64-bit.
More recently, I noticed the BM.exe program included in its start menu would rarely go more than a minute after a reboot without close with an error message (non-registered details)
Even more recently, I found a reason to run the Norton Internet Security program that came pre-installed on this machine in the next higher than default scan mode. He then paid account the BM.exe file looked like it might be malicious and had no certificate indicating what company it origin and therefore should not be allowed in the start menu.
This file is even supposed to be included in the Vista 64 pre-installed for this machine? If so, is there a newer version which runs correctly, comes with an appropriate certificate and entered in database of Norton of the software which is not a virus or other malicious software?
Also, what directory does in? It seems to have disappeared from my computer when I leave the disable Norton program in the start menu. recent research of the entire disk C: failed find.
Delete it. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/BM.exe-21373.html

Hello
I bought a computer (custom config) Pavilion elite e9000 of costco in 2009, so I've offended have an exact model in 31 configurations HP number has for this model in the software support. He had 6 GB (3 x 2 GB) DDR3 ram on a motherboard with Intel Core 2 Quad CPU @2.5 GHz IPIEL-A3... Bought with Vista, now under Windows 7 64-bit
Trying to speed up the computer (vs upgrade) and from what I can tell, 4 GB of RAM chips are not compatible with the motherboard.
Try to understand if a BIOS upgrade would work, but the card BIOS upgrade mother IPIEL-LA3 throws an error 253.
Y at - it an update to software that I can do to allow me to update the RAM (like to go to 12-16 GB of my 6 today)?
Here are the specifications and configurable options for your desktop HP Pavilion Elite e9110t. Here are the specs because that's card mother IPIEL-A3 (Eureka3). According to specifications, your system supports the following memory configurations;
Four DDR3 DIMM sockets (240 pin)

PC3-6400 800 MHz
Memory non - ECC, unbuffered
Supports up to 8 GB on 64 bit computers
Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit computers
4 GB DDR3 DIMMS are not supported by this system. It's usually because that material (chipset) does not support sizes larger than those listed. In rare cases the limitation may have been imposed by HP in the BIOS. The update of the BIOS address not to increase the size memory or questions. Error 253 means that the BIOS is not for your system or your system does not meet the minimum requirements of the update. If you want to install the update in safe, you must install it to Vista.
BIOS update 'sp43102.exe' requires a Microsoft Windows Vista operating system installed.
Exit the: 2009-08-03

Compatibility: Microsoft Windows Vista, Microsoft Windows Vista (64-bit)

Pavilion Elite HPE-180 t, windows 7 64 bit started to stop the sleep mode.
Pavilion Elite HPE-180 t, windows 7 64 bit began to stop in the past few weeks. It seems to happen from the sleep mode. I leave the computer for more than 20 minutes, and when I come back, it is turned off. When I start again, I have an error message and be able to start in safe mode. I start in normal mode and I get an error "windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown" without solution. I also see an action center say error - consider sending additional information about a problem with the ATI display driver (graphics card is ATI Radeon HD5450 1 GB). When I click for the solution, says that this solution could not be downloaded. I've updated my drivers. I haven't added a new hardware or software.
Thanks HardBeatZ (HP).
I did as you suggested and I had to uninstall several times because the device picked up previous ATI vs the generic drivers. In any case it still stop with the blue screen of death when waking from sleep mode. Then I went back and installed the latest graphics driver from the HP site for my system. I still had a few stops.
Then I went through all my devices and checked for latest drivers. All said that the best version is already installed. Then I noticed that my HP bt500 bluetooth USB 2.0 adapter had only a driver available for windows 7 32 bit (I have installed 64-bit). I used a keyboard and bluetooth mouse. So I unplugged the adapter and have resorted to the USB keyboard and mouse and closures of blue screen stopped. It seems that the network card was originally wake up from its sleep. I also disabled the reactivation of LAN in the properties of the network adapter device.

Model bd340i in the middle of last year, I bought HP 12 x Blu - Ray burner. I then tried to play the two store bought and home made blu - ray disc and could not read media. I was ready to blame it on a bad burner but then I tried a regular DVD the two store bought and done House, and it plays very well. I then tried to burn a single dvd double layer with all the burning software three I have and it is still fine, no problem. It's just the blu - ray media that cannot be read or written. The only supports blu - ray, I used from the first day was Kodak and never had a problem. That's what baffles me.
At this point, I don't know if it's a hardware or software problem with the computer or burner blu - ray or both. 3 different burning programs works fine on DVD but not blu - ray, DVD plays fine but can't play or burn blu - ray discs.
