Install the driver software view, is it a scam?

Whenever I turn on my computer, once everything is a window pops up saying: Windows needs to install driver software for your PCI Serial Port when I close the window it pops up at least twice. I see not the window until that after I turn on my computer. My computer is Windows Vista. I need to know if the software is a scam or not.

Go to control panel > Device Manager and see if there is no yellow exclamation next to devices. If there is, then it's certainly legitimate and you need to get the drivers for this device. If you have an OEM computer (Dell, HP, etc.) and the device supplied with the machine, download the tech site Web support OEM drivers. If it is a desktop computer and that you have installed a PCI card yourself, download the PCI card mftr Web site drivers...

  • Cannot install the driver/software package

HI (sorry for my English, I'm a Spanish speaker).

I have an all in a psc 1315 and cannot install the software/driver from the site in a new 32-bit Windows 7 PC.

I tried everything I could find in the forum and on the outside.

    I downloaded the driver from:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4062&LC=ES&CC=ar&DLC=es&sw_lang=&product=3745...

    and it can run fine.

When the instalation starts fine, after the license agreement, when the installation is always "system analysis", he shutdow. Close the installation without an error message. Don't just run the next step.

So I can't install anything, can not get the HP Solution Center and other software for analysis.

Is not the antivirus, I tried to close the shields in time, not if.

I guess the Installer (AIO_CDB_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_130_141.exe) in the site's just failed.

I extraxt .exe files and tried to install the Solution Center in the "setup" folder inside, don't let me do. And it has a lot of files with configurations of software I don't know what I need those.

Can I connect the printer without the software, while adding in windows and it works for printing and browse the WIA, but in this way the "Scan" button on the HP psc 1315 do not work.

    Hello

Still, the installation problem you are facing, in order to avoid any installation problem, please also make sure that the USB printer is disconnected, enter the control panel > devices and printers, remove any printer PSC 1310 listed and restart the PC before the installation.

    And regarding the specific error:

Start the installation and follow the steps.

Once reached the license agreement window, click the 2nd link above (using the Internet).

Make sure that the two options set as No, thank you.

Accept the license agreementt continue following the install.

You see a difference by changing these settings?

  • J4680 - can not re - install the driver software.

Problem of impression and he had advised to reinstall the printer software. Uninstalled the program, rebooted & then tried to reload from the original CD of HP Officejet. The operation failed - error message says it could not find a file - and then abandoned. Defective CD?

Went to site (official!) HP found correct J4680 download for Vista, but once again, unable to finish. Error message: - System cannot find file specified - E:/setup/hpzshlautorun.infice_suffix.exe-m

    What it means?

    What can I do?

Why used the original work of instant CD?

Thank you Mario for your answer. The steps that you list are exactly what I did when the error message came. However, the problem is now resolved. When I rebooted, Windows detected my printer as a 'new' device and asked me to load the CD. So I tried again and this time he accepted it and installation is complete. Maybe the CD was slightly damaged but accepted at the last attempt. Must try several times.

    Everything is working OK now.

  • Installation of the driver software window opens on the second monitor in a dual monitor extended installation of the monitor

The "Software Installation" window will open on the second monitor in a dual monitor extended installation of the monitor

I have a dual display setup. A 225WS 1680 x 1050 monitor LG is connected via a VGA cable and a VGA - DVI converter to a DVI port on a Radeon 6850 video card. The second screen is a Samsung HDTV set at 1920 x 1080 and connected via HDMI on the same video card. I have set up the screen LCD as main monitor and the Samsung HDTV as the extended display. HDTV is most of the time, but I use it at least once a day. This isn't a driver problem, because it happened also when I had an old Nvidia video card and it is fixed by a new installation of windows and setting up of screens from a square.

The installer works great almost all the time except when I try to use some programs or Windows functions (7). When I try to start the MozBackup application or I pop in a new usb device and click on the notification bubble, both these windows (MozBackup and the "Driver software Installation" window) open in the center of the HDTV as opposed to the LCD (which is defined as primary). The problem is that the views are ~ 3 meters out and HDTV is mostly off.

I sent a bug report to the developer of MozBackup because this part is perhaps a problem with its software or what old Windows functions and hooks it uses, but the window "Installing the driver software" (or who knows what other program Windows Basic) has exactly the same problem and is part of Windows.

What can I do about it? I DIDN'T put the displays in any mode "clone" to have office in mirror between them. Is - this fixable somehow? I guess that is not a problem with the video card drivers because I used two different video cards with either the manufacturer or windows update drivers and the problem is the same.

I'm talking about a window similar to this one

Open the file backup.ini with editor

Check if you have the rights to save the changed files in this directory. You may need to change the Directory rights

Change the value of "1": monitor

    wyzodir =

    monitor =1

'2' or whatever the value of your primary monitor is:

  • Cannot install the driver HP Photosmart C6180 and software problems-, yet get HP-related crashes

I had a lot of crashes with my main PC, a number related to HP, including at startup ("your computer has recovered from a serious problem") and close (the HP software responds only to not close).  I reformatted the system, reloaded Win XP Pro disk and all updates.  I couldn't reinstall the HP drivers and other software from my CD or after you download from the HP site.  The stalls of process at an early stage (only in step 2), sometimes blocks your PC when it does.

The last time, I filled the experience HP online questionnaire and noted that I thought I had a generic problem rather than related to HP.  However, checking details on the Microsoft error report, I discovered that after the start I regularly get the message:

HP Installer Recovery plug has encountered a problem and needs to close

    Error signature

Download of HP is about 76 Mb.  I have on my C drive (System) of a program file HP/Temp with 7 Mb and on the E partition where I wanted to install the drivers and other software a program file HP / Digital Imaging, 30 MB.  Both are dated yesterday, when I finally tried to install from a download.  The HP printer is not displayed under the control panel of configuration/printers, or the Add Printer Wizard can recognize it on the network.  (I have not tried to disconnect the router and connect directly to the PC, but that shouldn't matter to software problems, should it?)

    Any advice would be welcome.

Thank you once again, Dexter - it was a Microsoft problem rather than a problem of HP, I finally found and installed the right fix MS and just installed the HP software - to be on the safe side, I only did the essentials of basic printing and left the other stuff for later.  And I'll report this "resolved" if I can find the button after validation!

Smart Install is a feature that has been programmed into the new models of Laserjet. It allows you to simply plug a USB cable and the installation files will load on your computer for you for faster and easier installation. However, on some computers systems rather find recognizing printers printers rather than software CDs. In this case, the installation never ends with success that your computer never actually detects the Laserjet Printer. I tried in vain several times to install the driver for my refurbished XP for my laptop HP photosmart 5510. I said I want to install via radio - he finds the printer and lets me select - then it starts the installation.  It gets about two-thirds through the bar of "installing network printer." "and crashes.

I let it rest, go to walk my dogs, prepare dinner, and it moves of there.  When I click on cancel, it crashes during the phase cancellation and I'm relegated to "force quit" process.  It's annoying!  All I want to do is wireless printing.  Scanning the computer would be an asset.

  • Portege Z930 - new Windows 7 and installing the driver

    I have a Toshiba Portege Z930 Ultrabook.

I don't use it for a while because he was very very slow when navigating or attempt to perform other tasks. I scanned the system with several antivirus (now I have Avast and Fixila, but I also used Kaspersky and Norton) and nothing came.

Now, I decided to reinstall Windows.
So, I received a kit of Windows 7 Pro (it's the license granted with the laptop) and I'm fighting for a week to make it work properly.

Now seems as graphics card does not work, I have most of the hard disk full some old files of windows, etc, etc.

    1. How is the right way to install a new version of windows on this laptop (without the old installation files) and use the accessories available on the laptop (graphics card, fingerprints... tool)

And YES, I tried all THE drivers available on the Toshiba support successfully section only for the wireless card.

    2. have you had problems with the speed?

    Thank you
    Victor

    Hello

    > Now looks like graphics card does not.

Does that mean exactly? Graphics card is recognized correctly in the Device Manager?
In case it is, the driver is installed and works of the GPU.

    What Portege Z930-xxx are you?
The exact part number might be useful to check the specs of the laptop.

By the way: the driver / software installation is not very difficult.
Forget the other Toshiba software if you n t want to install it
    Pick up the pilots only...

However, some parts of the software as a value-added Package must be installed because this package installs a range of important public services.

  • Satellite P100 - display problem after installing the Samsumg software

    Hello

I have a Toshiba P100-PSPA3 and just bought a new external monitor Sincmaster from Samsung. I installed it yesterday and everything works fine, I just plug in and the laptop recognizes it as a second monitor. Then I noticed the monitor comes with a CD and they recommend you to install the components of this CD.

I installed the driver and still works fine but then I installed a software called * Magic money *, it is said that I should make a new start, I did and the image comes in the second monitor, * my laptop screen is black.*
Then I begin to try all the possible solution I had in my head. I open this Magic Tune, and he says that it s not compatible with my computer, so I uninstall it. I have downloaded the drivers from Nvidia, Toshiba, installed again and again doesn´t work.

I prove with the nvidia settings and the West without change. NVIDIA doesn´t recognize my laptop as a monitor, screen it recognizes just the Samsumg Sincmaster.

I looked for people with the same problem in other forums and a possible solution was to turn off the computer, remove the battery and press the power for a few seconds, trying to carry out the computer. I did and it didn t work.

Someone here could give me a light? I m totally lost now and I have to work with my computer in the next few days!
    Thank you very much
    Ivan

    Hello

This software is not known to me and it is important to say that notebook manufacturers may not support some third part software.

I put t know if this software must be preinstalled but I'm sure you can use your external display without it. When the external display is connected, you can switch between the LCD and external monitor by using the FN + F5 key combination. If you want to extend the display outside a use Windows display settings. It should work. I tested several laptop Toshiba with a few different monitors in my office and I n t noticed no problem.

Have you already solved your problem or you are still looking for the solution?

  • Photosmart C410A: Cannot install the Driver

OS version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 64-bit

    Motherboard: gateway, SX2370
Antivirus: Norton Internet Security, updated and activated

Apparently after a Windows Update, computer of my wife, which is connected to our printer via ethernet through our Linksys E3000 router connection, lost that connection. As the driver was out of date anyway, I downloaded just the updated driver and tried to install it after checking that all traces of the old version have been removed using the HP uninstaller program.

Inummerable times today, tried to install the driver. I either get the the point where installation asks what kind of connection I have and when it shows via ethernet I get an error message about the MpsSvc (Windows 7 firewall) be stopped or the installation fails generate a message that says missing a setupfile. I tried to disable the firewall in Norton Internet Security and AV and the installation always fails. I tried to turn on the Windows Firewall, via the the Task Manager (with the NIS firewall off) nothing works.

One of the solutions I found on this forum with an HP Expert was to use the complete package to install the driver. Even if I'm NOT all the programs that come with it (there is the possibility to choose what you wanted but not more) I tried. I still received the message to set firewall scenario and then had to uninstall all the programs I didn't want in the first place.

There are two other computers in the House connected wireless to the printer and both work very well. I even tried the road wireless with this computer, nothing is done.

I know I'm not the only one we encounter this problem as I saw other postings but I have yet to see a solution that works. I'm trying not to get both frustrated and angry but it must be an otherwise difficult problem to solve. Before the update Windows and update the driver of HP, this computer worked fine with this printer. There is a conflict between HP software and Windows 7. Please give me a solution that actually works.

I finally found a relatively simple solution that worked. First of all, I unzipped the driver of a CD-based package. Then, I clicked on the Start button and open "devices and printers". Then I clcked on "add a printer".  I chose "add a network printer". As Windows did not have the selected HP C410a among the choices of the printer, I have disk driver and connected to the CD file. Windows finds the driver, installed and everything works as it should. Certainly, the icon of the printer is not the C410A but all the functionality of software works so I don't care.

On my wife's computer, I followed the same procedure except that I chose the option "Local printer", as his office is connected to the router via an ethernet cable. For some reason, his computer also had the HP C410A among printers whose drivers available and Windows loading automatically good. Everything is fine with his computer in terms be able to print. Again, not the cool little icon C410A under "Devices and printers", but it works.

The really good part of doing it this way is that I didn't have to install all the unwanted HP softerware which comes with the "complete package".

    I appreciate everyone's help.

In addition to the above, I have install the driver of TV tuner driver DVD RAM, the utility Maximizer and does not have the cause of the Atheros 802.11 driver, it seems, the machine has a network card Intel (is true?)

But when I arrived at the end of this procedure the system starts and works fine the first time, but when I restart the machine that the hourglass will for centuries and I need to restart in safe mode using the Manager tasks.

I have a feeling that the problem is related to the utility Configfree or be WIFI.

I tried to uninstall the Configfree but the problem is still there!

There, can someone help me? !!

    Hello

You are right. If the device has an Intel WLan card you n t need to install Atheros utility and Atheros WLan driver. But you need the Intel WLan driver.
I don t think that the problem is the utility Configfree. In my opinion you should check into the full background due to CPU performance process using Task Manager.

    Good bye
