• Extend my extreme network with another extreme - waiting for internet access

  Hello - I have a new generation Airport Extreme (let's call it Extreme1) connected to a Comcast modem and it works very well. The extreme will be the router that the modem has no router function. I'm trying to expand my network to another room with another extreme (let's call it Extreme2). I have a connection cable between two rooms. Extreme1 has an ethernet cable from one of its LAN ports connected on port WAN Extreme2. When I try to create a new network with Extreme2 (in aid of the same name, passwords, etc.) it does not work. He was suspended at the end when he is looking for a connection ("Waiting for internet access")-I did the following things based on what I read here:

  1. Changed IPv6 link local parameters
  2. Tried the whole upward on my Macbook and tried on my iphone
  3. The Wan first and then tried to change the configuration after you done for Extreme2 by creating a network
  4. Tried to create a network with Extreme2 connected directly to the modem
  5. Extreme2 factory reset after every attepmt

  And nothing works. Kicker is, I also have a reasonably new airport express and the same thing happens to her as well.

  Do I need to adjust some parameters of network that I'm not aware of? Is it possible that my LAN ports are disabled on Extreme2? It is brand new.

  Have you used the Apple Setup Assistant?  If you did, it had notified you that the extreme second was being configured "add using Ethernet. The wizard will automatically configure the second airport with the appropriate settings for you.  All you have to do is enter a name of device for the second AirPort Extreme.

  Here I'm assuming that you reset the second extreme to parameters by default until you set it up again and that your second Extreme is the current version of the "tower" or that of previous versions "flat or square.

  The example below shows an AirPort Express as the device which is the extension of the network, but you will see the name of your network and AirPort Extreme on your configuration screen.

  Post back if you need some tips on using the "Wizard" for your configuration.

  Hello. I use airport time capsule/extreme 5th and 6th generation and huawei gpon terminal hg8310h. I got to the base station of configuration in dhcp mode and green light is ok, but not internet access.

  My ISP tells me that there is problem with Apple base stations. Unfortunately in google there are very little information on the airports and the gpon. I tried to reset the base station and etc. There is no success. Anyone know if there is such a problem with gpon technology and Apple base stations? Or maybe I'm looking for something different?

  Fiber type systems may have problems with the apple airports. It is difficult to explain, and you must provide us with a screenshot of the wan port real on the AE or TC you used.

  This issue will be generally visible that the ISP has given you a gateway which is not in the primary IP address subnet. If that makes no sense to post you the screenshot... but you should NOT change anything... Let's see your public IP address but also for a long time that it is dynamic and not static, it won't matter. Your IP address will change in 24 hours.

  My Apple routers have never worked on my broadband as the main router... It is not the same issue... but it is something that apple clearly knows the impact is too small so that they care. If they exposed more controls, then we could solve this... but Apple phased out the controls. And even in the operating system most recent continues to remove them. My advice is very simple. Get a different router. At least until Apple take this seriously you won't be able to fix. And the ISP sounds like they are aware of the problem, but will not be useful either, because it is probably the only apple routers that have this problem. Conclusion... buy a compatible router.

  I am trying to connect to my work network, but there is a problem with the connection. It says that I'm connected and everything seems fine. It's not until I want to browse the internet when I have problems. For example, if I go to google and enter a query it gives me results, but once I have selected an option, it shows the "cannot display this page, please check your internet connection..."   Oh dear.  I thought first of all, I want to check if I wasn't wasting your time.  That's what I would have posted if you did not receive it sorted - McAfee has been updated at the same time as the last batch of updates from Windows 7 and this is the cause of problems of internet connection for most, if not all, users of McAfee.  See this "criticism" McAfee reviews - some customers may experience a loss of network connectivity and/or errors in McAfee Security Center after a recent update you should make the fix McAfee, if necessary. There are corresponding communications for their enterprise products.  I had to run the removal of McAfee Development tool a few times before and it caused a problem with the license if the PC was not connected to the internet during the abduction.   I also developed a low opinion of McAfee - it took them three goes getting my re-installed McAfee work earlier this year and they had clearly received no training on the specific product [Security Center].

  3 so, I downloaded & installed Microsoft Security Essentials instead.  There are a lot of choices but it normally becomes in the recommended lists and it has decent support.

• 8 win having address IP & gateway, but not Internet access

  This laptop is IPv4 address 192.168.1.13 (valid for my setup) and gateway 192.168.1.1 (even), but no Internet access? What is going on??

  I've implemented a number of victory 8 machines, but this laptop that I just got and win update 8, now, will not connect to the internet?

  All my other machines, phones, computers, iPad, android tablet, all to connect to the router and have internet access.

  I searched this problem and tried a few suggestions to no effect:

  1. drivers of device updated for lan and WiFi and restarted and still NOGO!
  2. has run a few commands cmd for ipconfig

  What is going on??
