Jam cartridge on HP 3520

Advice please. My printer says cartridge jam. I did everything suggested on You Tube and the HP site I can find and nothing works. The ink cartridges are stuck under the cover of law within the container of the cartridge, so I can't access it to move. No paper jammed anywhere, so I don't know what else to do?

Thanks for your help. I did it & got a fantastic service. My printer couldn't be fixed & HP he exchanged for FREE! I couldn't believe it, wonderful service

I just replaced a (almost) empty black ink cartridge in my HP Deskjet 3520 printer, and now I get no word on paper. The printer prints photos of a text, but not the text. The test page only gives light gray instead of black values.

  • squeaking noise

I would like to know how to eliminate a squeaking noise. It happened just after I lived the paper jam. When I retrieve the jammed paper by following the instructions in the manual to guide users, there is already a creaking sound whenever I print and it's really annoying to hear.

    Hi @brigettetamara

    Let's try the following steps;

    • Remove the toner and check for any paper or obstacles on the inside of the printer (use a flashlight).
    • Check the toner to make sure that it is not damaged (example of blade that comes out).
    • Run a cleaning page through the printer.

Use the following document for instructions; Remove a tray paper jam, cartridge box, or the output tray.

    I hope this helps.

  • Re: Failure black ink

I'm trying to fix a friends printer.  It is a Photosmart C4680

Black ink does not print (there are about 1/3 of a cartridge of ink left and it is an original HP cartridge.

When I print colour only blue draw (I even printed a picture and it only printed blue too).

My friend says it all started when he tried to print on a paper for the printer.  When I print it goes through all the motions and publishes a document, but it is empty (except when I print in color and it's blue).

I've done the troubleshooting, clean the print head, etc.  No change.

    Thanks for any help.

The likely cause would be dried out after a left carriage jam cartridge cartridges not clipped for an extended period.  I suggest you go through the steps of troubleshooting in the paper here.  If the steps it do not solve the problem cartridges are probably the problem.  You could pay off the print head on a damp cloth - for the color cartridge gently, a good cartridge would have heavy tasks of cyan, magenta and yellow.  The cartridge you have is likely to have only a task of magenta and yellow, with a strong task of cyan.  The black cartridge is similarly likely to not having a strong black stain.

If the steps do not resolve the problem, you can have success soaking the ink cartridges in 1 "hot water, nozzles down into separate cups of water for 15 minutes.  After letting it soak gently dry the electric contacts with a lint free tissue.

My HP LaserJet 100 color MFP M175nw Gets a message from 54.2 error, I thibk something stop them from turning. How to manually turn the toner cartridges to get out? the knob does not work.

    Hi mazz154,

If any of the cartridges get stuck the carousel could not turn depending on how stuck cartridge is. To move the carousel you must have released brake and then find a place on the carousel to do turn to the next cartridge door. Just make sure that you do not touch the mag of the cartridges ink roller with your finger as the oil on your hands can damage the toner mag roller. I have Windows 7 and you are using a wireless network while a HP 4500 printer G510.  I use a wireless network, and nothing has changed in my environment.  I heard a gasping noise as a document was printing and after that it essentially freezes in place.

My printer is very different from yours (a Samsung color laser), but I
had a similar problem about a year ago. It has proved to be a failure
in the printer, and I had to take it to a Samsung repair center
    to get the part replaced.

I'm not sure sure your question is as mine was, but you
should certainly consider. Why not call HP and ask
them what they think the problem can be?

  • Cartridge HP 1350 Jam/Incompatible transport

Hello... I have a HP PSC 1350, old but works always, but the end of problems with persistent transport jam and cartridge compatibility. Basically, the symptoms are the following: after hitting 'print' transport sets on the left side. Not really of interference, but to rest it. If I open the default gateway is in the middle position to remove a cartridge and replace.

I have two new cartridges in the printer. The black HP56 arises from HP, the color HP57 is a generic. I used generics for years without any problem.

Anyway, the message I get on the screen is "check printer cartridge" and in the application of series HP PSC 1300, the error message is "the black ink cartridge is faulaty or incompatible with this printer." I replaced the cartridge several times and every time I do the printer will start, print a test page and do some printing tasks. But half an hour later when I hit print, it will return to the same set of problems. Weird that it works very well but not half an hour later. Sometimes if I do several resets I can make it work but after a rental it sitting idle going a bit, no.

So, essentially, the printer works fine when you're printing so I think it's a software/driver problem. Not sure if it's related but I noticed that the problems began after I upgraded to the Mavericks 10.9.2.

    Clues?

    Mike

    Hi Mike (Coopershawk).

Sorry to hear that these steps did not work!

I don't have access to service manuals (if they are still there) that I could link you too, but you can try to use Google and YouTube to see what you can find to disassemble the printer. You're right, if you can't fix it, it will be recycled anyway, why not just not?

I hope that you are able to fix this on your own Mike here and I thank you for your time! Good luck and feel free to let me know how you go with the repairs!

  • HP Envy 5534: Improper shutdown, cartridge delivers, paper jams

I tried to print something, and I put the paper in (which was already very slightly bent) and you press on print. While it was printing, all of a sudden unusual noise you could hear then I pressed "Cancel" and the warning that "there is a paper jam it' came.

I lifted the door to cartridges that come after the door to scan and went out the paper, the paper had a few small holes in it and has been ruffled. Then I tried to print with another, less wrinkled paper and he said ' the following ink cartridges need to be replaced: HABs. I thought it was a mistake, so I tried to take the cartridge out and put back in. He also said that there was an obstruction or jam, he asked me to move the cartridges along the metal tube that they were on and moving back again in the animation. Place the cartridges were certainly in the clasp evenly in a good way, and the cartridges that I returned permanently to the extreme right were he went into a slot. There was a sticky white substance on the tube, so I cleaned it with tissue paper. I tried again, he says a 'transport' or something was unable to move. All the time the printer came with messages such as 'incompatible with the printer' among others.

I also looked into the mouthpiece with the pinching mechanism that reveals jams paper, to see if there was something that I had missed and he was not.

So, I tried to move the cartridges again, this time with the printer off, that he had instructed the animation (and I didn't realize to make), and when I turned on it even once, he warned ' improper shutdown. Press the button 'walk' to avoid damage ', so I did. Now I don't know what to do.

Please help, I know you massively! The printer is my source of life.

There has been no recent software or driver changes. My internet connection is wireless.

    Thank you very much.

The removal of lubrication is probably not a big deal, I wouldn't be able to replace at this stage.  Too much lubricant on the stem of transport can attract dust and paper fibres.  If at any time given the squeeks of transport when it moves from one side to the other, I suggest to post back here with a new topic and ask for advise.  Just a very small amount of lubricant, probably, it will be very good for the life of the printer.
