    Hello

    What printer do you have?

I suggest you do a hard reset with the device.

    Hard Reset:

Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall

    Take out the toner cartridges.

    Wait for 30 seconds

Plug the power cord into the printer and the wall (be sure that the printer is plugged into the wall and not a surge protector)

Replace the toners/cartridges in the printer

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus: vertical line when scanning

I get a vertical line when I scan using the document feeder.  I do not understand when scanning the glass plate. I need assistance to access the mirror slider.  I raised the lid for the loading of documents, but I couldn't find out how to get under the rollers to clean the mirror. Thank you

The document here can help solve the black lines to scan using the ADF on your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.  From my experience this is almost always caused by a specification on the thin glass on the side left which is used for scanning using the ADF.  Cleaning of this area as described in the above document should solve the problem.  If the initial cleanup does not resolve the problem, it can help to shine a bright flashlight almost parallel to the glass.  For a line on the left side of the printed page, the place will be toward the front of the printer, if the line is on the right side of the document, it must correspond to a specification to the rear of the printer.

  • Vertical lines in messages scanning and fax on HP 6500 a

    Hello

I have an Officejet 6500 has everything in one.

In recent weeks, when I scan a document, the only result I get is in black mode (black vertical lines all over the page).

If I use the scanning color mode I get all the lines of color on the page.

Is it a material, problem with the lamp of scanning or something else?

The machine is around the age of 5 months.

Someone at - it an idea?

The same for faxes, the same lines will appear.

This is the main reason why I guess it's a hardware problem.

    Any comments would be useful...

    Thank you very much

This could be a hardware problem and maybe also a problem of glass dirty scan.

    * First of all, I would like to try to reset the printer:

    (1) unplug the unit while it is turned

    (2) unplug the other end of the power cord from the wall jack directly

    (3) separate the power cord from the power brick in the middle of the string

    (4) wait a minute

    (5) unit rear cap for a direct decision-making power, not a surge protector.

If the lines continue, then try the steps in the document for lines/stripes in scans/copy/Fax.  Click here and select the blank copy for troubleshooting option, in this case.  Let me know how it goes.

  • vertical lines when copying or scanning with my c6180 printer

6180 all in a print is fine, just copy & fax causes the vertical black line on the side only. site filled with HP troubleshoot process - no change. Can anyone help. printer is about 2 years

I don't know if this will help anyone, but I had a problem with a black line when fax is received or when copying through my document feeder.  The quality was very good for printing and copying via the flat glass.

Here's what I did for a solution... copy of the elevator panel to expose the big glass, then carefully lift on the small gray bonbout charger doc Center, this will take a little effort but don't break anything.

Once up on hinge, put your fingers on the two gray side tabs to lift the next part with the rollers.  This will now expose a small ~ 2 x 9 "piece of glass that has probably debris like mine did.  Clean with windex and closing...

I hope this helps.  Don't throw it!

  • Inkjet HP 8600 printer: I get lines to the bottom of the page when I scan but not when I print

    Hi there @Psych1324,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, HP experts and other support staff.  I understand that when you scan and fax one page there are lines on the subject.  I'm happy to help you with this.

Try to make a copy using the glass, then a second using the ADF and compare two copies. Both have lines or not only made using the ADF?

In addition, it is the document that you used? HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one and Photosmart 7520 e - all-in - One Printer Series - band vertical, lines, or streaks in the Copies, faxes, or scans. If this isn't the case, please do. Special attention to the part where a copy had the lines. If it's the ADF then it's probably something on the glass of the ADF, as the dust, or small sheet of ink, or something similar. Be complete in cleaning up this article and then test with another copy using the ADF, to see if there is an improvement.

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 more black vertical line when copy or scan

HP Officejet Pro 8600 more black vertical line when copy or scan everything in the middle of the page

    Hi Clementstl,

I understand that you have a 8600 Pro Officejet which puts a black vertical line in the center of your copies/scans. I'm sorry to hear you had to deal with this, but I will certainly do my best to help you solve this problem.

I recommend the rest of this document of vertical stripes, lines or streaks in the Copies, faxes or Scans as it should be in a position to help to cross that line. The most common cause is a small spot of something on the glass of the scanner, so just make sure that when you're cleaning use you as much elbow grease you can collect

Just to clarify a little further, if the problem only seems to occur when you use the automatic document feeder, you'll want to focus your attention on the small strip of glass that he uses on the left side. If it only occurs when you use the flat glass, you want to concentrate on the large piece of glass he uses.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

  • Model D110a - why do solid when black pages copying or scanning. Printing from the computer works.

Printer all-in-one Photosmart D110A. Printer works OK to computer when printing black and white or in color. But when using the scan or copy feature the printer does a solid black page. This just started recently. If I try to scan a document from the computer, the analysis that results is black Uni. I guess that it is a hardware problem. If this is correct, how can I get it fixed. Who should I call at HP for parts? Can I fix it myself or the printer fatally broken and that I should buy a new printer?

Thank you for all that help you can provide.

It sounds like the scanner lamp turns off.  You can't really repair or replace just the scanner lamp.  The way to resolve this would be to replace the entire printer.  Check your warranty here.  If the warranty is still good, you can join the 1-800-474-6836 technical support in the United States and in Canada, international users click here.

  • HP Officejet 6600: Horizontal lines when scanning (digital glitch, no debris on scanner)

Hello, can anyone advise on how to fix the horizontal lines that appear when you use the flat bed scanner (Hp Officejet 6600)?

This function scan/unit worked well for a year and suddenly breakdowns at each attempt to analyze.  I went through several steps to try to resolve, including zero/restart the printer and the computer.   To clarify, this not a question of debris/ink etc on the bar of the Analyzer or glass; It's a digital bug (see attached image screenshot).

I can't find many references about it on the HP forums or elsewhere.  If it helps you to offer a response, FYI I use a macbook, which has worked well with this scanner/printer until recently with this problem.  The printer function works fine.  Finally, I just downloaded the latest update from HP for this device through the App Store and it still gives the same error.

    Thank you for your consideration.

I certainly hope that I can help you with the unrest sweeping have horizontal lines across your scans to your Officejet 6600, you notice your Mac running Yosemite. To add the steps that you have already tried, here are some of my suggestions for you.

    2. Repair disk permissions
    3. Restart the Mac.
    4. Click here to download and install the full function driver: 6600 Officejet HP e-All-in-One Printer series - H711 Full Feature Software and Driver

  • Multifunction Color LaserJet Pro 200: blue line when scanning from feeder not dish

When I scan from the charger, I get a blue line that spans the length of the document. It does not happen when I scan from the tray. any suggestions on how to fix?

    Thank you

    Hi @Pichopop,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I read your post and see that you have found a blue line, during the analysis from the ADF. I will definitely do my best to help you. If this helps you to find a solution, please click on the button "Accept as Solution" down below in this message. If you want to say thanks for my effort to help, click on the 'Thumbs Up' to give me a Kudos.

What is the name and the product number of your printer? How can I find my model number or product number?

There are several models of Laserjet 200 series.

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation. Poor power connections can cause problems of copy and scanning and rejection of the toner.

Here is a document for the cleaning of the glass and Platinum. You will notice that there are two areas for the glass, one for the dish and the other is for the ADF.

Do not take into account the model and the title. Proceed to step three: clean the glass and Platinum sweeping.

Please let me know the results and if there is anything else I can help you. Thank you.

  • HP C7240 message "Unable to scan, copy or fax" appears when I lift the cover on dish

This happened for some time. Whenever I raise the lid, this message appears: "unable to scan, copy or send a fax. If I type "OK" everything returns to normal. I am able to fax and scanning from the doc feeder, but some things are just too thick to put thru. I tried to put my paper under the lid while the appliance has been turned off, so I was not raised the lid, perhaps thinking he might still scan from the dumpster, but no. I get the same message as soon as I turn on the printer. Running Windows 7.

In addition, there is a line on my paper when I scan through the doc feeder. No idea how to get clean or repair everything that makes the line?

    Thank you!

Yes, life has a way of doing that sometimes.  I'm you a link to a document of troubleshooting for lines in copies of the automatic feeder (ADF) documents.  Click here  A thorough cleaning of the ADF will probably solve this problem.

The error message "Unable to copy, scan or fax" may be more difficult to overcome.  On the only step left that could be considered would be a semi full reset.  This reset the default printer and clear the memory.  If the printer was on a wireless network, it should be removed and would need to be reconnected.  If you want to try this, I can send you the steps in a private message.  I need you agree to not post the stages.  Let me know what you decide.

  • How to solve the dark median line when I use officejet all-in-one, the copy function?

The print function is good, but has only problem in copy functioln.  How to clear the dark midline?

    Hello tseng0719,

I think it would be useful to have more information in this case. For example:

What printer do you have? This happens when you copy of the bucket or the adf? Do this also happen when you scan a picture?

A small tip would be to clean the glass of the scanner because it migh be fine it's only down to the dirt on the glass (especially if this happens when you scan using the adf).

I have it! I was focusing on the large flat glass and originally made a quick cleaning of the small scanner glass, not realizing that it was the smallest glass surface that the scanning mechanism is until what I watched a YouTube of cleaning description. I thank very you much for your time.
