missing firewire connection

The version of Win 7 Movie Maker says to use an IEEE1394 cable for video input of a video camera. There is no connection of this cable on my HP p6674 computer. I tried a USB cable and it does not work. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Ed

So, I tried to use a USB cable firewire on my Surfacepro 3 with 10 coat and I get a message saying that windows does not recognize the camera to VTR mode.  The Hub reference you will allow firewire is recognized by Windows 10, and if so, where can I get one of these points of convergence?  Thank you.

  • Firewire connection is unstable?

Screaming people, having a bit of a technical heehaw with my iMac and my M-Audio ProjectMix i/o and the thought that I could ask you all for more help.

The M - Audio ProjectMix i/o is an a firewire audio interface and control surface, it is really good and has been working perfectly fine for some time, however, for a reason which I cannot yet understand it unplug spontaneously my iMac shortly after the start. I usually have enough time to open Ableton Live and define the ProjectMix as audio device, where I can get a minute or two to operate, then audio becomes clicks/POPs and then the iMac restarts. In some cases, the iMac restarts, but the ProjectMix disappears from the audio devices available in the preferences of Ableton (it disappears also the about this Mac > system report > Firewire) and is unusable for this purpose.

Now, I discovered that the M-Audio drivers are not compatible with Yosemite and El Capitan, so I thought for sure that was the problem, then I followed a tutorial on how to make it work in El Capitan, but it's the same thing and my question has not reflect issues, other owners of ProjectMix had with El Capitan and they've all got to work using tutorial. However, I thought that the best thing to do would be to take the iMac to a State that was compatible with the M-Audio for the ProjectMix drivers, so I went back to the Mavericks, installed the drivers, open to Ableton Live, and it's the same thing.

During this time I also tried using different firewire, resettlement of the different versions of Mac OS x cables, reset the SMC, reset PRAM, you know, all the usuals.

I thought that if she is not the operating system and not on the firewire cable, one firewire port, so I bought a thunderbolt Apple firewire adapter to work around the Firewire port. I was hopeful when he connected, I even smiled, then, click on click on pop pop, the iMac restarted.

So, here I am confuddled. I have not much to conclude except that it takes the ProjectMix himself, having said that, if it was the ProjectMix I don't expect the iMac to restart when it disconnects, this seems a bit over the top, unless something else happens that I don't take into account.

I don't think that any of you all have any suggestions or advice?

I have included my current characteristics and the latest report of crash after reboot (using the crush on firewire adapter). Y ' All thanks a lot for any help you can provide.

  • HP Envy 13-d053sa: Prints Digital scope option missing in connection options

I got this HP Envy 13-d053sa (Win10 installed in the factory) for a few months now, always allowing me to connect using my fingerprint today.

Today, I found that I had lost my PIN and my option of sign-in fingerprints had disappeared from the setting menu. I managed to set up a new PIN, but the rest available footprint (not even a flashing light on the device itself). (Incidentally, Norton Internet Security has also stopped working and I had to remove and re-install.)

I've updated the device driver of fingerprints through the Web page updated HP, but still no joy.

How can I get fingerprints in my connection options please?

Yay! Restoration of the system sorted!

    Hello:

This is the page of specifications for the h8 - 1320t.

It is not equipped with a firewire port, but you should be able to add a PCI express x 1 card firewire for it.

  • Problems HotSync - Bluetooth option missing in connections

After installing Windows 7 RC, 64-bit, I had to HotSync my Tungsten E2 with Bluetooth, rather than use the cable.  I bought and installed an Azio Bluetooth dongle (and included the Toshiba Bluetooth software) without a hitch. However, when I created my HotSync options I found that I couldn't choose Bluetooth because the option was not simply present on HotSync Manager/connections.  VERY frustrating.

Buried deep in a another thread on this forum was the solution: go to control panel | Programs, remove the Bluetooth drivers and restart.  The device is installed with the Windows drivers again.  As if by magic, the Bluetooth option appeared on the HotSync Manager Connections window and everything was good.

Of course, some computers come with the included Bluetooth option.  For those with x 64 Windows AND have the third-party Bluetooth drivers (other than Windows) AND are having HotSync problems because there is no way to activate the Bluetooth option, the hotfix may be similar - uninstall the drivers and use the native Windows drivers instead.

I suspect that this issue can come down more, that those who do not always have HotSynced with Bluetooth is now required to do it because they are moved to x 64 Vista or Windows 7.  Palm does not have this problem on one of their pages to support - that I could find.

YES!  It worked for me: "buried deep in a another thread on this forum was the solution: go to control panel | Programs, remove the Bluetooth drivers and restart.  The device is installed with the Windows drivers again.  As if by magic, the Bluetooth option appeared on the HotSync Manager Connections window and everything was good."

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • Mysteriously missing Internet connection

I have little computer knowledge. Have Pavillion notebook dv6000, Vista Service Pack 1. Wireless internet connection good for approximately 2 years with no problems. 3 days ago I uninstalled factory installed Norton Protection that was expired and free AVG and installed Microsoft Security Essentials.

Now, when trying to connect to wireless internet through Internet Explorer continually receive error message "Internet Explorer cannot display web page". Tried Mozilla Firefox and was able to connect to internet through Mozilla a few times that same day until "Security alert" popped up and said to download a critical update. After this update I can no longer access internet through Mozilla either--get error message that Firefox has stopped working.

While still able to connect to internet with Mozilla, I installed Vista Service Pack 2. Windows also asked for some updates, but I don't recall what they were for. After these updates the "critical update" alert from Firefox came up and after installing it I can no longer access internet.

Laptop shows internet connections are fine, but connection will not go through. In Device Manager, Network adapters lists Broadcom 802......WLAN and Realtek RTL.....Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0)

Please advise as to what else I can do. I'm considering to a restore to factory condition through Recovery Manager, but it indicates it's best to do that while "connected to internet" obviously I can't connect to internet. I don't have recovery disks, but in reading some materials it seems that isn't necessary. We just recently backed up data for a different problem, so I don't need to back up anything. Just want internet connection.

In reading many of the issues posted here, am wondering if some type of virus is attacking?

My situation resolved after restoring your laptop to original factory condition.  Will post if this problem appears again.  Reading the other posts, it seems if you want latest Mozilla updgrades downloan, you must remove previous versions first or will experiment fails.  Is it possible that the same could be true for Internet Explorer?

  • Missing ethernet connection presario sr2125 uk.

Hello, I've read through many posts here and elsewhere but can't seem to find an answer to my problem so my apologies in advance if this is seeming repetitive

First of all, my PC is a Compaq Presario SR2125 UK.

I recently added memory to substitute the original 2 x 512 with cards memory 4 x 1 GB. It is the only "tinkering" I did it to make it a non tech type person. Other than that, it is like it is out of the box and several years of general household use.

My problem is that last night during a storm, we had a power failure of nature that lasts several hours and when we arrived finally be able to come back, I couldn't connect to the internet.

The PC is on a wired connection directly from the rear via an ethernet cable in the BT Home Hub. Other devices can connect wireless to the hub, and once I had found an old Belkin Wireless adapter can this pc.  Having finally got online I spent hours reading without result.

My pc is clean as a whistle according to Norton full scan and MBAM. It seems fair that my adapter has completely disappeared from the Device Manager, I checked in all the devices section hidden... everything. If my thought is that this little piece of kit got fried in the storm.  How it happened is beyond me given the "charge" should have go through the (?) surely first router, seemingly unharmed. My questions are...

    How to run again? or

How can I replace it, if indeed it isreplaceable? That is, where should I look for a code of possible room or something to allow me to buy a new one, if I can

The only other thing I can think to tell you is that I tried another ethernet cable, another Jack on the back of the hub and to tell you there is always a light at the back of pc Tower, place where the ethernet cable is plugged in.

Really not sure what is relevant information that could shed light. Any help much appreciated even if it's just to tell me he didn't that can do anything!

I would like to start by erasing the BIOS settings. Don't forget to unplug the machine off before doing so. The instructions are at the bottom of page HERE

If it does not detect your ethernet, it may well have been zapped by the incident. It's a chip on the motherboard so no way to replace directly. You can add a real PCI network easily, it simply plugs into a slot in a similar way the memory. Most stores that sell computers and accessories include network cards. Just be sure to specify that you need a PCI_not the last type of PCI - E.

  • missing wireless connections

Recently, my computer pc G6 D1C14UA pavilion laptop was very slow, so I deleted a bunch of applications and programs out there. He started to work faster, but then all of a sudden my internet has exploded. I went to network connections and there is no wifi option available, and my only option is to connect to broadband. I tried to understand for hours, what is happening. the actual router is fine as I am currently connected with the ethernet cable and the wifi works on other devices, but I do not know why no network will come. I have troubleshooted networks and he says that he has no problem. When I go on my PC folder and go on managing in Device Manager > maps there a small box of yellow alert next to Ralink RT3920 802.11 bgn Wifi network adapter. I went to the HP site and reinstalled thinking I have can I have erased on the accident, but it still has a small yellow box.

Please if you can help or give advice what to understand.

    Thank you

    Hello

Connect via ethernet again and first uninstall the driver from Device Manager wireless and then download - install the latest version of HP support again and check...

If it happened after a recent update, then do a system restore to a date where worked the wireless... That might help...

  • Missing SMB connection

Windows 7 Pro (via the VPN tunnel) client can connect RDP, SMB and PING to a server (Server 2008), but cannot map shares SMB (FQDN or IP) of server B (Server 2008 R2). Can RDP client, HTTP/S and the PING to Server B. The two servers are in the same segment of network and sitting on the same VMware host.

    Any help would be appreciated.

This issue is beyond the scope of this site (for consumers) and to be sure, you get the best (and fastest) reply, we have to ask either on Technet (for IT Pro) or MSDN (for developers)

  • Missing network connection profile

For my home network, network profile under 'Manage wireless networks' is no longer in effect. And I can't connect to my home wireless network. I can connect to other wireless networks, as in an Internet café or a similar place. He always seems to have the information network somewhere, I can't find it.

    A few ideas:

    • Make sure that your wireless router is enabled and functional.
    • If your computer has a switch to turn the wireless on the case, be sure that it is turned on.
    • Make sure that the wireless network connection is enabled.
    • In "Manage wireless networks", click 'Add' and create a new profile.

    Ralph

    Hi, Ralph:

On your PC motherboard has PCIe x 1 available connectors only.

I have provided a link to what you need.

You can get it here or a different model and your favorite PC Magazine, but it must be PCIe x 1 and No PCI.
