My iMac will not complete boot the system

After an unexpected break in power, I can't finish the start of my iMac. I tried to start in safe mode several times and loading bar appears but stops at halfway to load, then eventually the computer turns off. I tried to reset PRAM once. Same thing is happening. Not very experienced, so if you have a possible solution, I can try, I would be grateful for detailed instructions. I don't have an additional disc and will lose all files, if I can not do.

Sorry to hear that. If you do not have a backup you should stop trying to fix it now. You may lose all your data. Take it for a free trial at any Apple store.

  • 2010 Macbook Pro will not complete Boot

For awhile, it should boot into Setup from the hard drive, but now we can't start at all in anything whatsoever. Often the progress bar will be stuck around the Middle, but when it does not go beyond, the bar fills completely, but it does not start. I tried to reset the PRAM, SMC and boot into safe mode. Safe mode gave me a screen of panic, I'll post below. We tried to boot from a well-known player, external installation media, and even an installation DVD and nothing has worked so far. Unbootable in no recovery mode.

  • My iMac will not start past the gray screen

At startup, the iMac rings and goes to the grey screen where he hangs up and does not progress.

I tried with the command/R button from Mac, but the utility never appears.

I tried to start with the SHIFT key down... same thing.

Is there something I can do?

    Thank you very much!

    Paul,

My iMac (early 2010) has just started doing the same thing.  Initially, I could start in recovery mode, but download time was 18 hours and time increased.  I stopped the download and downloaded the installation on a USB disk on my MacBookPro in the hopes that I could start the iMac to the USB instead soon and not tomorrow. Now, I can't get the computer to boot on the USB stick or the recovery partition.

So he can start on the USB key you must hold down the option key when you hear the chimes boot.  Then maybe you can try and have some success.

If you find something that works to post here, if you think about it!

    Good luck!

    Hello

1 have you made changes to hardware or BIOS settings recently?

    2. What is the brand and model of the computer?

I suggest to follow the steps provided and check if it helps.

Enter your menu of the BIOS by pressing F2 at startup. Check the following settings:

    Function of the option

Primary hard drive 0 displays the primary hard drive 0. The default value is Auto.

Main main Hard Drive 1 shows hard

Disc 1 (if installed). The default value is disabled.

Make sure that primary 0 is set to AUTO.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Sharing USB on Windows 7 printer will not print until the system reboots

I have a HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer attached to my system Windows 7 x 64 via USB.  Printing from the local computer is fine.

However, when I add the shared printer on another machine in my homegroup and print for her, the job appears in the print queue (visible from both the native system as the computer to which the printer is connected) but nothing prints.  Attempt to delete just print job gives the status of "Delete", but the work is never removed from the queue.  When restarting the system (to which the printer is hung up), the job prints (even if a deletion was attempted).

    Specifics:
    Machine 1: Windows 7 x 64 with USB LaserJet 1600 (with x 64 and x 86 drivers).
Directly connected to the Linksys router.
    Machine 2: Windows 7 x 86 with LaserJet 1600 x 86 drivers installed.
Wireless connection to the Linksys router.

None of this behavior has been observed when we were using Vista, x 64, and x 86 on both machines.

  • HP Notebook: HP laptop turns is not on / boot the system.

I have a HP laptop and every time I turn on the HP logo comes on, but after seconds, the screen goes off and then returned to the logo and so on.

I tried everything, remove the battery, turning on/off, closing the display, retrieve the BIOS, etc..

PS. It used the Windows 10 operating system.

PSS. On the BIOS, there only the Configuration of the security system, output and hand options, somehow does not include diagnosis so I can do a test, and I can't update the BIOS if I can't reach the window.

I would really appreciate if you could answer as soon as possible.

    Thank you.

Hey @Shadow5300, welcome to the Forums of HP!

I'd love to help you with your laptop. From your description, I understand that you are unable to start past the HP Logo, nor can you run the diagnostics. According to the following document, given what you have already tried, it might be time to do a system restore: HP Notebook PC - computer won't start (Windows 10).

Had to do a restoration complete my xp machine and will not update, in the past, system automatically updated with cartridges of siema etc service?

What is happening, it is that it is so more the possibility of a user friendly hands on automatic update of Windows XP from a clean install.  Windows Update will NOT synchronize with and updated in the current order status to update a machine with a clean install of XP, but you separately download some patches and intermediate updates and apply them manually, to have a machine that connects a bit normally with Windows Update.

Install the last update cumulative security for the version of Internet Explorer you have currently is essential, and you need to download separately and install it before going any further.

Scroll to the information file for XP and Server 2003

Download the file corresponding to your version of Internet Explorer and install first.

It is also highly recommended that you install Firefox because IE8 is limited, probably compromised and sometimes useless and will crash on many sites, including Microsoft sites, including linked just above.

    Problem reinstalling Windows XP

I'm having a problem reinstalling Windows XP.  After formatting the disk and create partitions, it will not complete the installation.  He goes back and reinstall Windows again.  I go through the installation of 39 minutes, the computer restarts to complete and it loops back and start the installation again. Why it does this and what I can do to move beyond this?

Go into the BIOS and make sure that you your hard drive is not set to off, and that is the first priority boot CD and your second HD.

Don't push when it restarts anything just to let him do what he does and report back if anything I'm sorry I have no idea.
