  Hello everyone. My Photosmart C5180 has Ethernet connection. Despite this, connect a RJ45 cable to my router and it does not share the printer wireless via a router.   I have a Photosmart 8450 printer.  My operating system is Windows7.  I tried to follow the Scan doctor, but I guess I'm not tech savy enough to understand.  It worked fine before the new modem and the router.  She is 'offline' and I can't understand how to put line.  Thanks for any help and easy enough for me to follow.

My problem: I tried to install my printer HP photosmart 8050 on my new IMAC version 10.9.4 but it see the dosn´t in place anywhere on the mac. Not in the menu for softwareupdate or on the map for printers. Connected usb sound.  I ve also tried with the function of bluetooth, but without result. What can I do? I visited the HP support site and found the instructions, but when the printer is not it is a dead end: ^) regards

  I can answer only what concerns hardware HP and you connect to an Apple IMac that are entirely two different systems.  I suggest you try to get answers on the Apple Forum who are better suited to the resolution of respect in connections with their equipment.

  HP Photosmart 8050 suddenly prints blank pages.

  I tried to uninstall and install the driver, I tried to change the toner cartridge but I does not solve the problem.

  Software does give not any what error message, because the printer prints, but when the leaf turns off it is white (it seems to work but this is not the case).

  I understand that you have a HP Photosmart 8050 printer that prints blank pages. I would like to help with that.

  There is more support for the HP Photosmart 8050 printer available document any longer because it was added to the list of retirement of HP product.

  Here's a document, for a newer model of the HP Photosmart, that can be used to solve this problem, because the steps are generally the same - printer prints blank Page or does not print black or color ink.

• 10.6 compatibility with Photosmart 8050

  I will try to provide all the details I can think... using a macbookpro running 10.6.7 and just hung my photosmart 8050 (bought in the USA - I only write this because some people have asked to others where the product was purchased in an attempt to solve the problems.) I could not, when you choose to print, to locate this printer. I went into preferences and could not find where the other. Could not access manually, no other driver came. Have been downloading so-called drivers and patches from HP and Apple, and they aren't always appear. I changed the USB cords as well, in which case it was funky. Tried connecting to the top of the 8050 to my old MacBook white running 10.5.8 which had no printer associated with all. The same situation has occurred. Later, I tried to add my (brother) laser printer to two computers and worked well, via the USB port, the two pilots appeared in the preferences panel. So, I'm not sure if it's a software problem, or a problem with the USB from the printer part. The printer works fine when I attach a USB to print photos since. Any ideas? I'm quite unraveled at this stage. Thank you!

  Looks like that the USB port on the printer has failed. Some things to try to verify 100% that this is the case:

  Make sure that the product is under tension while performing the following steps.

  1. If necessary, connect the printer on a windows machine, see if you get a Plug n Play answer (adding new hardware popup)

  Check Device Manager to make sure it is detected/no detected (methods to open Device Manager are below)

  Method 1: hold the WIndows key and press Pause/break. Click on the Hardware tab (XP or more) click on Device Manager.

  Method 2: right-click on my computer, click Properties. Click on the Hardware tab (XP or more) click on Device Manager.

  2. when it is plugged into a mac (either one or both) with a USB cable for verified, check the entries USB and printer in Apple System Profiler (methods to open this utility are below)

  Method 1: click on the Apple--> about this mac. Click on more information.

  Method 2: open--> Utilities Applications. Double-click system information.

  Results:

  1. If you receive no response from the windows machine and no entry in Device Manager. Then, the USB port on the product is defective.

  2. If the product is not listed in the ASP, the USB port on the product is defective.

  A tried these last few months, a lot of time to get the HP works as it should work (especially the airprinting and scan) without any success.  We used with IP printing/scanning, which wasn't a problem, but does not give us the full possibility of the HP printer.

  Today I bought an apple Extreme airport, connect and a few seconds later all works perfect

  In the end, so it was the TL-WR741N (the latter replaced by apple airport) that give problems.

  I just wanted you to know and say thank you for the support you give.

  By your post, I see that you have no software to verify the printer ink levels using Windows 8.1. I would like to help you today.

  I have an Acer PC Windows 7 with an AMD Athlon X II processor, 4 GB of RAM.

  I have Photosmart C309g and everything-each 7510, both connected via wi - fi, using different IP addresses that are not in conflict with other devices on my network.

  I executed the complete installation for both HPs.

  I can print either, but I can scan only using the 7510.

  When I open the HP scan diagnostic, it does recognize that the 7510 - the c309g is not yet listed.

  I noticed only 7510 application record contains a HP scan application and it also recognizes that the 7510.

  There is no application scan c309g folder.  I tried Win 7 Windows Fax and Scan application but that also recognizes as the 7510.

  1. is there a way to configure the system so that it can print and scan from these two Photosmarts?

  2. If the scanning using a 7510 and c309g does not work, could I use a 7510 both a 7520?

  Welcome to the HP forums! I understand that you are unable to scan a document using the Photosmart Premium C309.

  You should have two printers scanning capabilities, because they have a different software. The Photosmart printer using the Solution Center and the Photosmart 7510 uses the Printer Wizard.

  I suggest you uninstall/reinstall the software Photosmart Premium C309. Please follow these steps:

  Please follow this HP document uninstalling the software of the printer.

  Then, perform a clean boot on your computer. I'll give you a Microsoft document on this step here.

  Now, install the full features on the site of HP software here. Choose your operating system that is appropriate; 32-bit or 64-bit.

  Once installation is complete, please click on the document to Microsoft, and "how to reset the computer to start normally after a clean boot."

  Please send me your troubleshooting steps.

  I have a Photosmart 1215 and had it work on W7 for years using the 990c driver. Recently, I had to reload W7 and now I need to get the printer working again. I installed the 990 c driver, but I can't print. I remember there was more that just install a driver from 990c when my 1215 is plugged in, but I don't remember the 'hoops' I had to jump through. The link you have above has been moved and is not going to a procedure. Can anyone help?

  I'm Mac 10.8.2. Just replaced my printer with HP Photsmart 5524. The drive does not work as it does not recognize my system. When I try to get online HP drivers, it does not recognize the photosmart 5524 and offers no upodated software to download. Can I get the software update also? Or should I keep trying to download the disc that came with the printer and see what happens? Gillian

  Drivers listed in the HP Web site must be compatible and will help you to install the printer. However suggest you try to install the printer using the provided disks. Unplug the printer, and then run the disks, only when you receive a prompt to connect the printer to the computer using the USB connection or wireless and complete the entire upward.
