my printer is frozen.

I have a point in QC.  It is frozen and says deletion = print.     I turned the computer off, I unplugged the printer twice.

so now I can't print anything again.   It will not delete or print.  just will not work.

You may not do step B if your printer works after cleaning of the print queue.

A. Clean on print jobs pending

  • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
  • Type the following in the black command prompt window, and then press ENTER after each line

net stop spooler
del/q '% windir%\system32\spool\PRINTERS\*.* '.
net start spooler
output

B. clean the old printer drivers and install the latest drivers by using the directions in One Article.  If you have (or had) a Lexmark printer, follow the instructions on this site before installing the new drivers, as explained in its first Article: http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm

  • Why is my blurry print product?

    Hello

Today, I received two prints by frozen Apple 20 x 30 cm (automatic size).

The thing is, they are really blurry and have a huge lack of detail.

    I ordered the the course Photos-app 1.5 (370.42.0).

The files that I used are .tif to around 80 MB →, this could be the problem?

It may seem that the files have been reduced and then enhanced...

So I should try again with JPEG?

In addition to the colors are not as bright bright on the screen (I know on the screen, they are always brighter)

So I have to ask: does Apple feel even support ProPhoto RGB?

It may be, but it would be an easy solution for my future orders.

Important information: I'm living in Germany, so the products have been printed in the Netherlands

Thanks for the advice or solutions, so I'm going to have better results next time.

It may seem that the files have been reduced and then enhanced...

It's the cause - it is not possible to increase the pixel size f photo without reducing the quality of the picture - if your original photos are not enough large then you must use small images feel - upscaling will not succeed

So I should try again with JPEG?

The best possible results would be with original photos

Apple Print even supports ProPhoto RGB?

No - photos must be sRGB

  • Broken Envy 120 printer

Purchase a printer Envy 120 in December 2012. In November 2013, received an error message saying that the cartridges were damaged, so I could not print.  After that 2 long guaranteed scripted calls to technical support, a refurbished printer was sent in December of 2013.  In April 2014, the refurished printer scanner has stopped working (tried the hard reset); and last week, I started getting a blue C4EBA649 error.  The printer is frozen and will not work despite unplugging and resetting my router.

The refurbished printer didn't work for 120 days. Given to nine printers are only a 90 warranty.  In addition, when I checked on my warranty to April status, date of the guarantee of the refurbished printer has never updated - which expires in July 2013. Very unhappy.

I am so so glad you were able to get your printer replaced!

  • HP envy 4500 problems scanning - used to work, now, not so much

I tried to solve this problem for over 3 hours now so apologies if shows my frustration.

    Equipment:

MacBook pro under OS X 10.9.2

    Apple airport express router

HP Envy 4500 all in one printer/scanner

    I can print without problem.

Using the HP Scan application, I get this message:

My camera looked good in regards to connectivity on my computer in system preferences, then I went to the screen of printer control in the menu 'Wireless' and I tried to redo the wireless configuration. I typed in my network name and the printer can't find my network. I have continued in any case, left the network name in and typed the wi - fi password, still no luck.

So I tried the WPS in place. The screen just kept looking, and nothing connected.

So, I tried to download the drivers from the HP site and guess what? The driver is installed on my hard drive, but then set it up the window of the HP utility can't find my device is:

I tried to connect the printer directly to the computer with the USB cable, just so he could download the driver, he got as far as the next step, "Configuring device" and who doesn't work anymore:

I tried to restore the default settings on the printer.

I tried uninstall & reinstall - oh, but then we encounter the same problem.

And during all this, the printer has frozen several times, so I had to unplug the power to restart.

I restarted my computer and my router. I did everything listed to. The printer does not have the router in Setup Wizard, and in the HP utility, it does not find my printer, BUT I CAN PRINT.  Just doesn't scan.

For some reason, I can PRINT wireless with no problems. But the scanner do not think that my router or my computer is. I can not open even the utilities EVEN when it is connected DIRECTLY with USB, I get this message:

I am beyond frustrated, I'm about to throw it at the wall. Please if anyone has a solution, I'd like to hear it. This printer is not even 5 months old. I HATE when things are not working. I can understand if I did something to it, but I did nothing else until it turned off for a few days.

Note: I WAS able to scan before without a problem. The only thing I can think is that I put my printer off for a few days because I was not using it.

Ugh. OK, it's been 4 hours.

Hi, if anyone else has this problem, read this post, it has solved the problem for me:

  • HP Officejet Pro 7780

My all-in-one worked well on our network until our ISP installed a new router (a Ruckus 2825. The company provides the router). Computers accessing the network very well. I use a MacBook Pro (10.5.8) and a Powerbook G4 (10.4.11).

When I went to use my printer, I used the menu to access the network to put the new password (WPA).  The printer would get a step especially (not necessarily the same every time) and becomes inadmissible.  The only way I could disable the printer was to cut off the power.  After reading the troubleshooting suggestions, I rebooted the printer by pressing on the # and 3 keys to go to the default network settings (also restarted the router).  I finally got the printer say it connected to the network but when I pressed OK, it froze again... out of order.

Should I reinstall my software?  Is - this indicative of a problem with my printer?  Help!  I NEED my printer/fax machine desperately!

    Thank you.

If the printer is frozen now, then turn off your router and then power drain the printer. Now turn off the radio wireless to the printer and switch on the router. I don't know that your router has an ethernet port. Then connect the printer to your router using the ethernet cable. Wait a minute and check the IP address of the printer by going to settings > network settings > view network settings > display wired summary.

Now open a browser and type the IP address above into the address bar and go to the printers' Embedded Web Server (EWS). Now click on networking on top, and then click 'Wireless 802.11' on the left. Then click on IPv4 settings on the top and enter the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway and DNS primary server address in this page and apply the settings. If you do not know the settings above, on the same page, click on the information tab, and then click Network on the left.

Once the parameters is applied, unplug the ethernet cable and turn on the radio on the printer wireless. Check if the printer hangs now. If all goes well, he should not.

  • HP officejet 5745: hp officejet 5745 seizes upward when idle for an extended period

I have a HP Officejet 5745 on a Windows XP Pro OS. The printer works fine when printing, however, if I use the printer and back to 6, 8 or 10 hours later, the printer is frozen and will not work. "Wireless" light but the screen is blank. If I hit the power button, nothing happens. The only way to be able to work to the printer is to unplug the power cord, and then plug back in. Then the printer works perfectly. I notice that if I use the printer and then check back in an hour or so the printer will work without be disconnected. This is also the same thing if I try to print wireless.

  • HP psc 2110: a pulse mode, nothing works well in this mode for my psc 2110 all-in-one.

Get this second puosating soundevery, and the printer is frozen.  In the past I have reset in unplugignthe power and then hoding the arrow buttons cancel and right and the pluging in the power sometimes it works.

    Hello @johnny1936,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that the printer HP PSC 2110 all-in-one is frozen and making a frequent pulsing noise. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. Currently, there is probably a problem with your product, power or a Firmware programming problem occurring within your printer. Can I please you follow the steps below to isolate this problem and fix it.

    Step 1: Check of power:

Please connect your all-in-one PSC directly into the wall outlet for power. Power strips and surge protectors can cause your printer for lack of power and will not work properly. Once your printer is plugged directly into the wall outlet test your printer to see if the problem is resolved. If the problem persists, proceed to the next step.

    Step 2: Power Reset:

    1. With your printe r WE, please unplug the power cable from the back of your printer
    2. The power cord unplugged for 1 minute
    3. After 1 minute the back power cable plug in
    4. Your printer should start up on its own

Once the printer lights please test your product in order to confirm that the problem has been resolved. If the problem persists, your product may experience a failure of Firmware. The Firmware is the internal "brain" of your printer. It determines what your printer is and how your printer it. If the firmware is corrupted in your printer, it may cause performance problems. Normally, I would have you update the Firmware on your printer. If the problem persists after the update is complete, will allow us to complete a programming reset the printer. However, due to the age of your printer there is no Firmware updates or resets the programming. Therefore, a replacement product may be necessary if this problem persists.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. If the problem persists, please let me know if you see all the solid or flashing lights or message board on your printers. I look forward to hear from you!

  • Photosmart C4580

    Hello

I have a HP C4580 printer. Last week I tried to cancel a document (using the button cancel on top) of printing and the printer completely frozen. The screen was left on "undo...". "and none of the buttons had no control of the printer.

I had no other choice, but to disable it on the wall, and when I turned on the power light just flashed. I turned off and left TI in the hour, and now whenever power is connected the printer turns on, but none of the buttons has no control of the printer. If I connect the printer to a computer, it can print documents, but does not refresh the screen with the status of printing (as it was too).

If someone has encountered this problem and someone has suggestions on what I can do please?

    Much appreciated,
    Andy

    Hello Andy__Speed,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you get problems with your Photosmart C4580. I will do my best to help you! Please make sure that the printer is connected to a live wall, not a surge protector. This step is crucial, because it will check if you experience the same problem.

As you said, you have already done a hard reset on your printer. If the printer was unplugged for an hour and it does not correct the problem, contact HP technical support for further assistance. Click here to read: worldwide Contact HP.

    Good luck.

  • HP 7550 insert plain paper error

I've owned an HP 7550 photosmart printer for years and it always worked flawlessly, until recently. After inserting the two new original HP print cartridges, I get a message saying "inserer insert plain paper, then press OK" for calibration. After the insertion of plain paper and press OK, the printer goes through some type of mechanical alignment, breaks for about 3-4 minutes full, then pulls the paper making it appear that she would begin the calibration page, but nothing happens and I get the message "insert plain paper and press OK" again. When I press the OK button, the paper advances about 1/8 "inch, then the message appears again. This process is repeated again and again until what I hit the OK button enough times to get the paper on the rollers of the printer. No calibration never takes place. I tried to re-creation (disconnect), different papers, different cartridges, nothing worked to correct this situation. Help, please.

Hello. Thanks for the suggestion. Actually, I fixed the problem by doing a little research on troubleshooting printers. I found a Web site called ehow.com, under "How to reset cartridges HP 74". Although these aren't the cartridges used in the 7550, the process that I follow has corrected the problem. I had a hunch that it might be a faulty cartridge, even if all of the cartridges that I put in we are new. Troubleshooting suggested a way to test each 3 cartridge one by one by removing all 3 then insert one cartridge at a time and see if it prints the calibration page. He worked and printed a page of calibration or alignment for each cartridge inserted except black #56 one. This is when the printer has frozen. I replaced this new cartridge with a brand new and it works fine now. So much worse the error message on the screen didn't tell me what was the real problem, as "#56 cartridge is defective! Thanks again for you suggestion. Very much appreciated.
