NB 300 power connection

Recently noted that the connection of the power cable to the NB300 begins to waver a bit. Not sure if this happened at a time or a design flaw. Battery still fresh on the connection but I'm not sure that this could be a problem of warranty or something that happens and it deteriorates to the point that something falls or is pushed inside the computer. Old computer for a few months only and infrequent wiring.

Your experiences would be received with gratitude thank you

Iain

If his only wobble a bit and the DC shuts, then it should be fine.

If his jittering excessively or DC cuts off when falter you, it will be repaired in a Toshiba repair center.

My computer has this strange problem. It stops completely after that I have plug in the power supply.
What I do now, it is let it recharge when it is off and use it without food.

There is a chance that it works with the power connected, but generally, it stops again in the trunk.
If the battery is low and I connect the power usually, it stops right after that I do, sometimes not.

I also tried to install Linux. But the same thing happens (except by the fact Linux only stops in the trunk)
    I'm now using Windows Vista.

Thanks for the time and sorry for the English.

    > any suspicion?
As suggested above; It looks like an electrical problem on the motherboard power supply. Maybe the motherboard must be changed.

  • Dell 11 7140 place - do not start after reboot and shutdown without power connected

    Hi all

I had problems with my new Dell 11 7140 place since I bought it. If I reboot or shutdown the Tablet without the power cable plugged in, it crashes on start/stop to a black looking screen as he stopped (but it isn't). He will sit on this State forever or until the battery is completely discharged. If I press and hold the power button for 5-10 seconds I can force a shutdown and turn off the tablet.

It's even worse if; After that I have to reboot the machine, it just sits there on the circle of rotation points and never goes anywhere. After a few tries, it will eventually in windows recovery, but he never manages to recover anything. The only way to get the Tablet working again is to reimage the dos operating system.

    I tried the following:

    1. Most recent of the installed BIOS A07
    2. All the latest pages Dell device drivers
    3. The latest version of Windows Update
    4. I tried to start in safe mode, but get points again spinning
    5. Tried to restore points that had once or twice the PC to start again, but the system is messed up. Built in Windows apps like photo viewer don't work anymore and I just to reimage.
    6. Tried running the Dell diagnostics, but which did not find anything wrong

The funny thing is that if I reboot or shutdown with the power connected, then everything is OK. I can do this all day with no problems. Standby and hibernation work OK with no power attached.

I have tried everything I can, but I'm at a stage where he's going to have to go back to Dell. Please can anyone give me any suggestions of what I can try, thank you.

To follow up on this post, the final solution to this issue was to return to the Dell Tablet. The motherboard has been replaced under warranty and since it was returned to me I have had no more problems.

  • Qosmio X 300 - power management does not work properly in Windows XP

    Hello

I have a Qosmio X 300 with dual boot OS Windows Vista and Windows XP Pro.

When I work under Windows XP and AC power is connected, the laptop to show me the icon of the battery (100% full) and brightness reduce (kind of like when a laptop works with the battery).
If I remove the laptop AC power cable show me the icon of AC power and the screen gets brighter (as when a laptop works with power supply).

The strangest of all is that if I restart the laptop in Vista OS the power icon is correct.

    You have an idea?

    Hello

This Qosmio comes with Vista pre-installed and tested this Vista preinstalled. So it SHOULD work correctly.
The question is what is with your installation of Windows XP Home edition.
    Who is MS?
Did you installed Toshiba Power Saver?

When you start Notepad with AC adapter / CC is the status indicated correctly?

  • SatelliteU300 will not start with power connected and fully charged battery

I just bought a U300-13U. It works fine when charging the battery and AC is connected. However, if left to recharge completely it does not start with connected AC. Unpluging the power or remove the battery and running on AC make it work very well. Is a 'feature' to stop an overload or overheating of the battery, or just a problem with this machine. I want to run with AC and battery than both connected all the time like I did with all my other laptops.

    Any help appreciated.

    Hello Andy

Of my friends has this small U300 and everything works well. I got it a few weeks ago to test the family Windows XP Setup and it works perfectly.

Please test again very carefully and if the same thing happen again once I recommend you contact the Service partner in your country. They check your laptop. I have to be honest and say that describes the problem of strange sounds to me and please, don't wait too long. Contact the service as soon as possible.

    Bye and good luck!

  • Satellite L40 don't stop with power connected and is not in sleep mode

Hello world. I hope someone can help me. Basically, there are two problems: one with judgment of the laptop (Satellite L40 - 17U (Vista 32 bit Home Premium SP1)) down when power is connected and the other with closing the lid and put it to sleep.

    1. in recent weeks, it all of a sudden won't stop, whenever power is connected. When it's on battery, it will stop. When the power is connected, and I try to stop, it seems that it closed down (all activity stops and the led goes off) for about 1 or 2 seconds, then it goes back.

    2. when I close the lid (all settings in Vista are set to put the laptop in a State of 'sleep' when the lid is closed), the laptop enters a State where it cannot be recovered by stopping by pressing the power button for 10 seconds to close completely. When closing the cover, only the battery LED continues to Flash orange (the way it should be), but apparently the laptop keeps consuming power, because when I restart later (first having to close as described above) tends to be quite an empty battery as it was before the next redΘmarrage it (like go from 100% to 65% in 30 minutes as "standby mode"). Also, when I open the cover, the other LEDS will on new (green), but nothing happens.
After the restart first by pressing the power button for 10 seconds to close, I often get the message that Windows cannot be started and run the system repair.

I just do a completely clean install with the product recovery CD (has not installed SP1 yet), updated to v1.90 BIOS, but the problem remains.

I'm afraid that my only option will be to bring him away for a warranty repair, but knowing that these repairs can take weeks, I'd rather try a solution here could someone recommend me first. If you have any ideas, please let me know.

    Thank you
    Daniel Breslauer

    Hi guys

Never had this problem on my laptop, but with regard to an other users here in the forum the BIOS might help solve such strange behavior for laptop
To be honest the closed question is unclear for me I noticed a problem before on my laptop but the update of the BIOS helped.

This is why I recommend update BIOS first.
If the problem still appears, the ASP should take a look in the notebook.

    Good luck

    Nice day

After the Polish Lenovo call center refuses to help me ask you to help. For about a week now, my X 1 carbon 2014 hangs after connection to the power supply. It's so irritating. I think, I only installed the updates regular windows 7 and the update of the BIOS via the lenovo update tool.

The Polish Lenovo Support Center came with the excellent range of system solution. I really hope that you would be able to help more effectively at the same time.

  • sudden loss of battery power, connection lost, lose all power from power supply disconnected, does not recognize battery

I have a Sony VAIO & use the largest of the battery (extended life) since I bought it 3 years ago fighting.  I was always able to automatically switch the power supply of the battery by simply unplugging, or computer plugging in AC on leash.  And, I was always able to see the battery down icon to the left of the screen (taskbar) & it would show % battery remaining.  Now, all at once, as soon as the power supply cord is UN-plugged the laptop turns off completely, no reserve power at all & I can't find the info of the battery. anywhere on the computer.  Icon no longer appears in the lower left corner & when I go into the power settings, the "Battery 1" icon is grayed out, so it seems that the computer is not finding all the batteries.  It happened so suddenly.  Could battery comes essentially lost all its power & become non-existent to the computer, or is this a computer problem, battery not recognize.  Not sure if this puts some I can fix somewhere, or if I need to have a computer repair man to fix the real computer.  Please HELP, I am desperate to solve this problem, as a laptop does not really serve its purpose if it must be connected to the hard power all the time!  TX in advance for a help, suggestions.

Yes, most things are cheaper to replace than to trouble.

But if the laptop seems to work ok otherwise, he might just be easier to see if there is a recall on the faulty battery or if it is still under warranty.  In addition, sometimes you can add a little more memory to the old system and see some performance improvements

on the other hand, replacement of the laptop can be problematic because the old machine has all the programs installed on it, registered product keys and has accumulated years of personal files.  and sometimes old expensive programs won't work on newer versions of windows.

the argument would be to close the new machine on the standards you eventually accept.

  • HP 6200 SFF: 6200 SFF f connector Molex power connection

Want to install ASUS Xonar DX7 that needs power.  I have a canoe to find a place to connect my Molex plug for power supply.

    Hello

Your PC isn't a molex connector that you discovered.  Try a molex to SATA adapter. Examine the connector on the power cable from P6.

  • For ASUS Ver: 1.0 MS-7525 motherboard power connections

It is certainly the power supply (it's dead!)

I'm trying to find the connections of power supply to the motherboard ASUS MS-7525 Ver: 1.0 (Compaq Presario SR5518F - bought 5-6 years there are clips), for the replacement of a power supply. I have a Corsair CX 430to installation and some motherboard connections were loose and fell out. I found a kazillion with this motherboard sites, but they keep connection to other pages?

I'm trained tech but not much experience yet. I'm sure I can do this...  I could probably start pc and look in help on board, but it may be unnecessary...

The power that you referenced can be found here, the motherboard here and the various connectors here.

On the power supply, you will find:

    1 x main connector (20 + 4 pins) - to be connected as a 24-pin motherboard
    1 x 8 pin EPS 12V - divides into 2 4 pin connectors, connects to the motherboard
    1 x PCI-E - not used
    4 x SATA - 1 to each Sata (hard or CD/DVD) drive
    3 x peripheral - not used
    1 x floppy - not used

  • New issue of electric power connection

I just replaced my PSU with a coolmax v500 and new connections to the motherboard came with the additional connection 4 pins. The original power supply had not well that the motherboard has 14 pins decision-making

My question is this. Can I plug the 4-pin or leave it disconnected? Currently, I have not plugged and everything works fine.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Steve

    HP A63133W

Steve, if you're talking the main ATX power connector, it's 20 pins or 24 pins, like you said.  If it's the 24pin, you would connect the connector 4-pin.  If it's the 20 pin, you don't connect it.
