  I am new to the family of canon, I bought the Canon rebel t5 with the kit with 18-55mm lens. I read the manuals and the tutorals video on the canon Web site. I bought the camera as a hobby and to capture family memories. I'm small looking more tips that aren't on the manuals and video tutorials, I would like to take pictures at a basketball game, but understand it would be difficult with the game until you have.   The Rebel series is entry level Canon DSLR product online, and the T5 is a less recommended rebel. It costs a tenth of the lighthouse 1DX, then of course there are compromises. It is certainly not a terrible DSLR.

  I'm sorry to know that you have problems with the blocking of Web sites using parental controls. Let me try and help you with this question.

  One possible way to solve this problem is to refresh the web filtering settings for your child by turning and then by following the steps below:

  1. connect to https://fss.live.com using your Parent account.
  2. click under the user name of your child.
  3. request for Web filtering, check the Disable web content filtering , and then Save.
  4 tick to enable web filtering you can adjust the slider to different settings.
  5. Save.

  After that, refresh the client of parental control to update changes made via the Family Safety website. To update the client, click the icon with the arrow on the upper right.

  Thanks for posting to the Microsoft Community. I understand that the child on the new computer account does not appear in the Family Safety website. To resolve this problem, make sure that the parent e-mail account is defined as an administrator on the Windows 8 of the child computer. After that, please follow the steps below on how to properly manage the settings on the Family Safety website:

  1. On the start screen, type parental controls.
  2. Click settings.
  3. Click the parental control .
  4. In the lower part of the window, click Manage settings on the Family Safety website. Your default browser will be directed to the Family Safety website.
  5. Sign in using the parent account.

  We are happy to assist you with your concern. I understand that you wonder why the message shows up on the Family Safety website.

  The notice comes when it detects an older version of the parental controls installed on your computer. The latest version should be 15.4.3555.0308 for the 2011 version and 16.4.3505.0912 for the 2012 version. Since you're using the 14.0.8118.0427 build that is the 2009 version of the parental control, the site detects it as obsolete. Please note that the only Essentials 2009 version can be installed on Windows XP.

  I'm doing a fresh install of Windows XP Edition family on a new hard drive.  I get the same error message indicating that the product catalog can not be installed. I reformatted and retryed with the same result. I tried a different HARD disk, but got the same trouble. I also tried installing XP Pro after a reformat and got the same error. The first error window says "the signature for the family Windows XP Setup is not valid. The error code is fffffc0d", and the second says" error: the system cannot find message for message number 0xfffffc0d text in the file for syssetup.dll fatal error messages: Setup failed to install the product catalogs.   I have a new laptop with Windows 8, which I created two users - one for me and one for a child (Standard user - and Coachman on behalf of child) (Administrator).   I managed to find a solution, not an elegant solution, but it will keep your real account (parent1) to monitor your kids.

  1. create a new live account (parent2)
  2. create a new account admin on the PC using the new live account (parent2)
  3. connect to the computer with the admin account and create an account for child
  (using either an og existing live new account - don't forget to check the child...)
  4. you should now be able to manage via the parental control panel
  5. Add a new parent in parental control (your old existing live account - parent1)

  Because you bought a new computer, it is possible that parental control is not recognize it even if you have the data transferred from your old computer.

  First of all, please upgrade to the latest version Family Safety, you can download it here. After you have installed the latest version, please follow these steps to ensure that parental control is set to the new computer:

  1. connect to http://familysafety.microsoft.com using the parent account.

  2. click on Manage list of the members of the family.

  3. Select the child's account and then click Remove. Click delete to confirm.

  4. open the client of parental controls on your computer.

  5. on the upper right side of the parental control window, click the icon to get the latest settings from the Web site .

  6. after a few seconds, it displays a dialog box saying that there is no accounts on your computer. Click set up the Family Safety. If the dialog box has not shown, just, close the client and reopen it.
