Officejet Pro 8000 A809n Web server password

I'm trying to change the settings for my HP Officejet Pro 8000 A809n network and the Web server responds with a prompt that displays "the 192.168.1.250:80 of server requires a user name and password.  The server said: printer HP Networking @. "He then a box of user name and password.  I tried admin, Admin, administrator and all the combos for username and password including drafts, but without success.  I followed the instructions to reset the printer several times and had to connect to the USB to re-setup wireless network, but whenever I connect to the web server, it wants a username and password that I've not been given a chance to put?

I tried 3 different computers, 2 different routers to see if that helped but no luck.

Computer details:

HP laptop Pavilion dv6 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Dell Windows Vista Business 32-bit Edition desktop reference

Dell Latitude Laptop Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit

Routers:

Firmware for D - link DI-524 revision D 4.03

Linksys WRT150N

Any ideas?

Thank you!

David

Decided to try a more reset using the following instructions:
1. hold down the power button / stop
2. press the wireless button twice
3. press on button cancel three times
4. release the power button / stop.

Attached to an ethernet cable and waited for router assign the address. Used the web server configuration wireless SUCCESS!

  • Impossible to reinstall driver Officejet Pro 8000 A809N on cable network

The computer that is running Windows XP with service pack 3 and all updates installed.  When I tried to print two days ago, I got an error message that no printer is installed.  I had printed earlier in the week without a problem.  I checked the printer and Faxes folder in Control Panel, and it was empty.  In my view, he has shown normally the HP printer, but also a routine to print to a file Windows Fax it.

When I clicked on add a printer in the Printers folder, I was told that the print spooler was not working.  I have run "services.msc" in the run command and restart the print spooler.  I went back in the Printers folder, tried to reinstall the printer, and again it says that the print spooler was not working.  I restarted the spooler to print again and tried to look at the properties of the tab of file of folder printer server, and again it says that the print spooler does not work (it is set to auto restart).  I checked several related DLLs and exe against their backups files, and they seem not to be corrupt.  I scanned the hard drive for errors, and none were found.

I tried diagnostics integrated HP software and all I got was some error messages that the print spooler has been arrested.  I came for the HP site, downloaded and installed two troubleshooting additional programs, which did not help.  HP says Network Diagnostic Utility Home "software", although nothing had been deleted and still run in the start menu.  HP Print Diagnostic Utility 4.1 States there is a problem with the print spooler and click on "Fix."  Clicking Fix a window indicating to select the printer to troubleshoot, and then press "diagnose".  No printer appears in the list, then it says to install the software.

As a result, I've downloaded both the full and the installation programs limited on site and tried both several times.  I ran the program to uninstall the existing installation in the start menu without problem and rebooted.  When I tried to reinstall, but I kept getting errors.  As a general rule, the program "hpnwchk" (HP network control) opens in a back screen, displays a long series of "printer: (null) ' lines, then crashes.  The program then told me that the printer is already installed on the TCP/IP port and must be removed first.  I click on the option 'Fix' the TCP/IP port option.  Then, Setup continues and opens a window showing the correct information for my printer (she even wake it from standby mode).  I select the printer in the list, and the installation continues until receiving another error, indicating that "the arguments are incorrect", and that the installation failed.  I think that the "arguments" chosen for the TCP/IP port that differ between what it is defined for the current drivers and what has been previously installed.

I have run the routine of uninstalling several times and also manually deleted the Printers folder in the registry using REGEDIT (HKCU/printer).  It seems to me that there is a conflict somewhere that continues to stop the print spooler (it is set to auto restart).  In addition, the uninstall routine is not uninstall completely, as we always say that the printer is already installed, when I run the installation routines and displays its correct settings.  I google and read about everything I can find on the subject, and I am puzzled.  Where could - TCP/IP settings will be stored in the registry, and what else is missed in uninstall it?

Additional information about my setup - the printer has been installed for about 2 years with no problems.  I can still print without problem from another computer on our home network wired.  I opened Vista on this computer, even on a separate disk partition and had no trouble to install and use the printer through Vista, which seems to eliminate all peripheral problems (I never found it's worth to go Vista after trying it; only now use it as a back-up for XP on the computer).  Last week, I installed an update for Adobe Reader and Microsoft Security Essentials stopped a Java Script Trojan.  I think that Windows has also installed its monthly update antivirus.  All virus scans were negative.  In addition, there has been no other hardware or software changes.

I found a solution to the problem, through inspiration early in the morning.  I thought that everything has disappeared from the printer folder and kept being told that the printer has been installed, that I delete and reinstall other drivers who may (or may not) have been in the folder.  It seemed to me remember that I had the generic driver installed fax and Microsoft XPS Document Writer installed.  I went to "Add/Remove Windows components" and deleted from Fax Services.  I then went to the printer file, click Add a printer, and did not receive the error message that the print spooler is not running, ect.  I then had no problem of reinstallation of printer, Fax and XPS HP drivers.

Do any one help on printing of booklet? I looked at other messages and none seem enough to cover my problem.

I want to print from Microsoft Office Publisher 2003 and have a PC running Windows XP.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 A809- and ePrint

According to this document, my printer HP Officejet Pro 8000 A809-should support the apps mobile ePrint. To do this, however, it seems that the printer needs an e-mail address. I looked through the built-in Web server and cannot find anything on an e-mail address for the printer. (This printer does not have an interactive control / display.)

Can someone tell me if the printer has an e-mail address, and how do I access it? Or is there another way to make it work with ePrint? Thank you!

Hi, your printer is not capable ePrint has therefore not his own e-mail address. However, it is compatible with the application print ePrint mobile that does not require the pritner to have an e-mail address. When it is installed on a mobile device (smartphone or Tablet) the app should search for your printer to the printer and the device are on the same WiFi network. Here is a link where you can find more information about the print application mobile ePrint http://www8.hp.com/us/en/products/smart-phones-handhelds-calculators/mobile-apps/app_details.html?app=tcm:245 - 1220078 & platform = tcm:245 - 1220080

Hope this information helps and after back with other questions.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 wireless: OfficeJet Pro 8000 wireless does not respond after a certain time

I use my wireless OfficeJet Pro 8000 for quite awhile now, but I have a problem that I can't solve:

Initially, it works allright. But after a few hours, it seems to go to sleep. And it does not print jobs more. I have to put the printer 'off' and 'on '.  After that, it will print the work queue.

I searched a timer as issues in the web interface of the printer, but can't find anything that points to a solution.

The printer is connected wireless to my router, using a 'fixed' IP address

    Can someone help me, please?

    Thankx

These settings are to set up your wireless printer to stay connected to your router, wireless devices stay better connected and makes your router secure and hack proof.

While the DHCP is convenient, devices like printers must always be assigned an IP (fixed) manually to avoid conflicts on your wireless network.

    1. Set a static in the printer IP address (click here) outside the range of the DHCP of the router (check your manual). It is for Linksys routers, but can be used for all routers. Check your DHCP range and change this first if necessary. More Help Wireless Printing is here (Windows solution 4, static IP).
    2. Or check in the printer "Auto off" is disabled the System Mode Time Out is set to zero (0) Use the built-in webserver (EWS) by visiting the printer address IP address in the address bar of your browser, click on settings tab/Auto Off. Or use the printer, printer Home Page (EWS) Wizard. Also check the properties of your printers.
    3. If the printer supports and has IPv6 enabled, disable the IPv6 option in the printer.
    4. If necessary and you have assigned a static IP address, try using auxiliary for the preferred DNS Server 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as DNS server.
    5. Wireless printers work only on the 2.4 Ghz band.
    6. Make sure the printer is on the latest firmware by checking with the HP support site.
    7. Check all devices wireless in your home for interference. Check microwave, babyphones, phones, wireless and wireless alarm systems are a big culprit. Any of these will knock at your printer wireless intermittently.
    8. Make sure that your printer and router are at least 6 feet, independently of the other.

In the router: (refer to the manual of your router for more information)

    1. Use a fixed wireless channel as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto', try channel 1 first then the rest.
    2. Set the router to 20 Mhz only or 145Mbps router function.
    3. Always use WPA2-AES encryption (personal), but you can try the "mixed" mode
    4. Disable the WPS and never use it and disable the UPnP for the security of routers. No one can hijack your system now and help with wireless connectivity (if you want to know why, research on the web).
    5. If you have a router dual band (2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz bands), make sure the SSID is NOT identical, they must be different for all the bands, even for networks without comments.
    6. SSID broadcast should be enabled.
    7. Save all the settings. Food at the same time, wait 2 minutes.  Power on router wait 2 minutes.
    8. Marketing the printer and check that it reconnects to the router.

Windows 7/8/8.1 is discovered the system on or off?

    1. Control Panel/Network and Internet/network and sharing Center / advanced sharing settings.
    2. Under home or work (current profile) / network discovery.
    3. Select "Turn on network discovery" and save the changes.

Last resort effort - if your printer has an Ethernet connection, suggest you to get some adapters line and convert your Ethernet wiring for your printer.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless does not connect to my new Airport Extreme router

I've owned my Officejet 8000 Wireless printer for about a year and had no problems with it.  However, my old wireless router wasn't fully compatible Mac so I couldn't fix it with a password.  I now need a secure network, so I bought an Apple Airport Extreme router in December.

Last night, I installed the router and it works fine on my iMac, my laptop and my iPhone.

However, tonight, I'm trying to implement Officejet Pro 8000 with no luck.  I searched the posts here for 3 hours and am not finding the help I need.  Based on the other posts, I read, I describe my situation below.

I am trying to set up the printer in my iMac Intel with Mac OS 10.6.4

I'm trying to set up the printer with the installation wizard HP I just install the printer software.

On the first screen of the wizard, it tells me that my device is not configured (I agree)

Then I ask him to set up a wireless network.

When I get to the network selection page, both my network AND my network of comments (that I let my neighbor use) are on the list with the full signal strength.

When I click on my network and then continue, the HP installation wizard hangs and I have to stop, he.

When I click on my guest and then network continue, I get the message that my network is not within reach.  (FYI, the printer is 10 feet from the router).

I tried to power on/off the printer, the router and the computer at all different stages of the process with no luck.

    For my Airport:

My radio is set to the most compatible choice

MAC access control is not enabled

    Everything is WPA2 security

'Use wide channels' and "Create a closed network" is unchecked

The channel is set to 11

I'm happy to try the "Add client in the network" thing I've seen on other posts, but I don't think that I have a front panel of the printer where I can start the "WPS" (don't know what it is) process.   If I do, it is not obvious and not in the HP manual.

My ISP is Comcast (cable internet).

I'd really, really grateful for the help!  Please let me know what I forgot to include information, and I will be happy to provide it.

    Thank you!

OK to reset the printing system again, he may be blocked.

    HP Photosmart Studio v. 9.7.4

After upgrading from Tiger to Snow Leopard I lost the ability to print without MARGINS - until that time, that I had no problem.

I use HP Photosmart Studio to print, but get the same error every time: "the selected printer supports the paperwork without borders. If you print, will serve the maximum printable area of the current paper size.

I downloaded the most current driver after that I improved and I was able to print in general - when I try to select borderless printing it tells me that this printer does not support. I was able to print without margins using Creative Suite Indesign and printing of this app--but have lost the functionality of the HP Photosmart Studio is really a drag - since I have to do all sorts of adjustments to do workaround printing.

Is it possible to upgrade Photosmart Studio? or re-start it? I'm lost and need help.

If you always reminants of the HP software meant for 10.4, you must uninstall the software by using the "scrubber".  If you have already uninstalled, reinstall from the CD, then:

Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
Hold down the Ctrl and Opt Cmd and click on uninstall< scrubber="">
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click on continue and let it finish

    Restart your Mac

    Now run a software update.

Finally, download and install the "Full Featured" driver and software from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 prints multiple pages of the same document

    Info:

    HP Officejet Pro 8000 A809a

    Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

Last driver and firmware from HP

When a job is sent to the printer (web, Word, Acrobat, etc.) the printer keeps printing multiple pages of the document.  Sometimes it will print the first page and a second partial page, then it reprinted again and stop at the same place on the partial page.  She does over and over again.  I ran the HP Diagnostic Utility and it was impossible to print a test page, even after turning the power on power off, then on.   Any suggestions, or is * another * bad printer?  The first was sent and replaced, so I think that this model is just a lemon.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't work.  I tried to reinstall the driver altogether package three times with no result.  I ran the utility programs that supposedly allows you to solve problems, but public services could not even to generate a test page.

It seems that I finally found a solution, however.  I installed an older driver for MS Vista 64-bit, and that seemed to do the trick.

  • Install the software not found on my OfficeJet Pro 8000 wired Ethernet network

I'm trying to reinstall an OfficeJet Pro 8000 on my wired ethernet network using the 'minimum' driver install.  My PC is Windows 7 Pro (32 bit).  I have the printer configured with a static IP address, I can successfully ping and accessing the Web page printers via the IP address.  I have uninstalled the HP 8000 software using the two installation software "uninstall" and you run the HP removal utility and have restarted the PC.  I disabled my firewall ZoneAlarm and AV/AS software for installation.

During the resettlement process, when the software is looking for network printer, it cannont find the printer on the network, despite the fact that I can ping the printer directly and access its Web page via IE.  Using the advanced search and entering the IP address of the printer does nothing.  I'm at the end of my ideas on what to try (I said this whole process about 3 times now with the same results!).  What Miss me?

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless: Can I get some help here? Yellow ink will not print - HP OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless

No matter what I do, ink yellow does not print, or stops at halfway printing on the page. I use genuine HP cartridges. There is a lot of ink - in fact, I just installed a new cartridge in the case where a previous (almost complete) was defective. No change. The pipe is not pinched. I flashed the firmware more recent and installed all drivers and utilities updated. I have cleaned the print heads over and over again and even took and cleaned according to the instructions.

I think it was a sign that the printer is worn EXCEPT - just a few months ago, magenta and black stopped printing. These are the opposite printheads. When I uninstalled every bit of HP software I could find, the printer back to normal!

The only thing I did not - it is the HP Toolbox argues that it is impossible to establish two-way communication with the printer. The patches for this involve get under the desk to play with the power cord and USB cable (even if it is a wireless printer), and my arthritic knees that make a very delicate operation. Two-way communication IS enabled.

I'm about to start crying. I fought with this market a week, when the yellow all of a sudden went - once again, * most * of the time, but sometimes it prints to maybe an inch of the image before disappearing. Help!

    Hi @Echo2,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printing problem.
