  I understand that you receive error message 9 on restore.  Here are the troubleshooting steps I recommend to go through this type of error.  Feel free to skip troubleshooting steps you have already lived.

  Check your security software

  Errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1611, 9006.

  Security software may stop your device to communicate or the Apple update server with your device.

  Check your security software and settings to ensure that they are not blocking a connection to Apple servers.

  If you still see the error message, locate the USB connection problems.

  

  Check your USB connections

  Errors: 13, 14, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, 1604, 1611, 1643-1650, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, 4005, 4013, 4014. You can also see a message that includes "invalid response".

  If the USB connection between your device and your computer is interrupted, you will not be able to update or restore.

  To narrow the problem, try different equipment:

  • Use the USB cable supplied with your device, or another cable USB Apple.
  • Plug your cable into another USB port directly on your computer. Do not connect on your keyboard.

  • Start the computer in safe mode and use system restore to return to a time before the spy software has been installed.

  As you mentioned, possibly recovery disk is defective, broken, or similar, this could be the reason why the CD/DVD drive is not able to read the disc and the installation breaks upward.

  You cannot get this phone without the recovery disk! It is an old series laptop and it does not support the HARD drive recovery process, as do other mobile most recent.

  If you have only two ways to install the Windows operating system; you need to use the Toshiba recovery disc (which seems to be broken) or you can install the operating system by using the Microsoft Windows XP disk.

  If install you the operating system using the disk of MS original then you need to install the drivers of Toshiba which are placed on the European driver Toshiba page (look in the archives).

  PS: maybe you could try to burn (copy) the recovery disk using another computer.
  In some cases of the different drives are able to read scratched discs.

  Once you have downloaded, you then need to burn the DVD of it - use the Windows disc Image burner, or (even better) your favorite at the slowest possible speed burning application.

  Note that you do NOT "drag and drop" the file on the disk, you must use the option "burn image" of your app - or you will end up with a useless coaster :)

• Have 12 items. Many worked on 8.1, my new laptop has Windows 10. Now the elements photo editing software will open the image in raw, but once I did my settings and try to 'open image', it tells me it "cannot complete my request because an error occurred."

  Sometimes, this can take several hours to complete the recovery process.

  In addition, when you perform a system recovery, the only things that must be connected to the PC is the keyboard monitor and mouse.  Nothing else must be connected (printers, speakers, etc.).

  If the recovery discs fail to get the job done there is a procedure that you can use to install Vista on your PC if you can read all 25 characters of the product key windows on your PC case.

  Here is the info on how to do this if you want.

  If you are in a fault light but rewarding you can do yourself if you can read your product key of Vista on the PC of 25 characters.

  You just download the 3 files you need on the link below and read all the instructions to create a Setup bootable DVD disk using imageburn.

  Do not take into account the part of the text in the first screen shot about "extract the files in the folder of Vista."

  The files were extracted already in this folder when you ran the X14.exe file by reading the text on top of the first screenshot.

  The other thing I noticed is on the 4th page, where it shows Developer ID Microsoft Corporation. I had to type Microsoft Corporation in me, and then other codes already filled in.

  When I went to compile the ISO file, ImageBurn gave a message on a WIM file, file and ISO, and if I wanted to burn it in a different format.

  I selected no, make the ISO file.
