  My Gateway FX6831-03 will not be able to start Windows.  Just shows the gateway splash screen, then freezes.  OS is updated to current MS Win7-64 bit-w/all and virus/malware protection., Went over 4 days vacation, and when I tried to turn it on, it should display the gateway splash screen, then stop. can't hear anything that happens on the inside.

  Problem solved!  An external hard drive, powered by a separate power supply, was not turned on, but it was plugged into a USB port. When the computer "seen" this cross-town 'dead', he just stop - but no message appears problem.

  The good part?  Vaced out all the dust and replace the bios battery.  [I'm good for at least another 2 years;-]

  To do a factory reset:

  With the Tablet off the coast and the battery fully charged, press the power button / stop and Volume for about 5 seconds until the opening of the Startup Options window.

  Choose F11 to start the process, and follow the prompts.

  We just bought some HP t520s to complete a lab that we t510s.  The t510s work very well.  The t520s are almost here.  I just need to hide a pesky startup screen.  When the t520 marketing and gets to the GUI, but before that the network is connected, it displays a splash screen telling me that his "waitting for the network.  Unfortunately, this splash screen also has a button called "network settings."  This button, this bad boy is what I want to disable delete or hide.  I don't care if the start screen appears or not, but in giving users access to network settings and host name and all sorts of settings is a waitting accident to happen.

  Try the following: in xterm type regeditor, go to config-Assistant, enablenetworkcheck the value 0, enableupdatecheck the value 0, the network/update dialog box will not be displayed.   HI - don't know if it's an unusual question, but my app not install/load on my Z10 when one or both of the pictures icon and Splash Screen are added in the descriptor of Bar.  I development mode and have an installed debugging token and it is still valid.  The strange thing is that the application will be installed on the Simulator without problem.

  If I remove the splash screen images & icon in the Bar descriptor file, the application load on my Z10 with success.

  The images are the right size: 114 x 114 px for the icon and 768 x 1280 px for the SplashScreen.  The Momentics IDE accepts two files by activating beside them.  I also tried to add the images to the Q10 & PlayBook and still no luck with this loading on my device.  I even tried to go back to the image by default for the icon, and who does more either.

  The error I get when trying to install my application on my Z10 with icon images & Splash Screen is:

  It is a known problem with certain versions of BlackBerry OS 10.1.  This article explains the problem and provide a workaround.

  5 Pen Drive has created and initialized Compaq ISO - PC Doctor DOS Version.

  6. inspected PC - found a hard drive to have multiple errors and so dead - replaced by wd 500 GB drive NINE.

  7 PC DOCTOR BACK - pass all other systems, motherboard, RAM, etc.

  8 were again trying to install from the recovery CD "R"is only an option as no recovery partition." 2 unsuccessful attempts so far.

  9 think about jumping from the Westgate bridge.

  Please help if you have any ideas or if I missed something extreemly critical please let me know.

  Has decided to remove Kboard and rear USB ports USB mouse and stick 'em in the front.

  HEY PRESTO START!

  Obviously a problem with the rear of the motherboard well that the PC doctor reported no problems.

  OH well Im happy like a cat in #$% T. Update for XP3 reinstalled updates of all HP SP for this system and we are offshore and running. TIP for any related problem: always google and read similar messages: you can often find the answer that I did.

  Am using my own splash screen image file, but I would also like to use a different image file for the button (if it is the same for both flash and html) can it be done?

  You look at me in the right direction.  The button icon grey launch (Playbar_icon.png) in the folder folder\assets\playbar_icons html and registered my image .png file, rename it to Playbar_icon.png.  In this way, I didn't have to go into Dreamweaver or do any coding.
