  On Monday of this week I bought a new SSD that I used to replace the HARD drive of my Acer Aspire S3 (long out of warranty, unfortunately). Therefore, I had to install new Windows 7 and download all the drivers from the Acer site. However, while before I got the WiFi connection at full power, now I get only one bar, and if I move slightly in the whole House, the connection would be lost and even report no network in sight.

  Could someone help me find a solution to this problem? I don't have access to my recovery partition, otherwise I would have just used it to restore the settings by default when the wireless adapter worked flawlessly.

  There is a possibility of wire antennas came out the wifi card. You can access it by removing the 12 screws holding the bottom and gently lift the back. If it sticks, use a pick or a card plastic to clear out gently. Be aware of the static elect. damage. Look it up.

  I hope someone can provide me with a way to disable the program compatibility Wizard. I had this same problem in the Beta, but of course during the beta test I used Windows 7 Ultimate. First off I would like to start by pointing out that I do run with Windows 7 Home Premium.

  That said, I know that this means that the most common solution, using Local Group Policy Editor to disable the program compatibility Wizard won't work, as the Home Premium does not gpedit.msc.

  Now, this is the part confusing, at least to me. I found an alternative solution specifically designed to fill this gap. I was directed to the access to Servicesand localization Program Compatibility Assistant Service, stop the service and then turn it off (via the properties for this service). I did exactly that. He is arrested and the Startup Type is "off". I even rebooted.

  Now here's the part that confuses me... it always comes back. How can he do that when I have the service stopped? This is another aspect of the security of Windows 7 I am not aware of this must be disabled?

  As a note, when I tried to install the software in question, I chose "Run as Administrator", just in case, and who didn't yet have any advantage. If anyone knows what I have to do, including instructions on changing my recording, let me know. Thank you.

  I'm afraid to say that in Windows 7 Home Edition Premium, it is not possible to disable this feature.
  The only way to turn it off is by using the Group Policy Editor.

  1-make sure you have intel network driver I installed your windows it pc. Download (on any other pc and transfer and install in it) and install it in your pc respective windows 8.   When you open the Soundbooth splash screen appear normally for a few seconds of Soundbooth. Then a "Program Compatibility Wizard" covers the Soundbooth splash screen and warns against the "missing codec" and if I select the download which brings me to the www.totalcodec.com site that wants Larry me to install what is called the missing codecs. Notice that I am on XP and there is no "Program Compatibility Wizard" (only for Vista, Windows 7). Note wrong spelled "compatibility."

  I ran a full scan with malwarebytes and McAfee and the two report I own of any virus or malware. I see no problem with other products of CS4 web premium.

  I did a complete clean installation of Soundbooth CS4 which did not help.  Here you can see "Assistant to the program compatibility" covering start of Soundbooth and warning "missing codecs.  You can also see in the background malwarebytesthat I used to check for malware.

• Cannot connect after install

  I just bought a new SSD with the intention of doing a fresh install of Windows on it. I downloaded Windows 8.1 installation directly from Microsoft Media on a USB key. I went through the installation, and it seemed to work perfectly well. However, when I started to install programs, I am essentially impossible to restart the computer. When I do, it attempts to load the login screen, but it is completely empty. I tried to reinstall Windows, and I am able to restart perfectly fine right after it loads everything first... but every time I try to install anything (Windows, Chrome, graphics drivers updates, printing software, etc.) he comes back to the same problem when I restart... screen empty, unable to do anything, much less actually connect. It is the first time that has happened for reinstalling Windows and I am quite lost.

  1. What is the brand and model of the computer?
  2. How did you create installation media for Windows 8 (which is the link/URL)?
  3. When you say new facility, do you mean clean install?
  4. Which operating system was installed before Windows 8?

  I suggest you to follow the steps below and check.

  Step 1: Please refer to the following and create the installation media for Windows 8.

  Create an installation media (DVD/USB) for Windows 8

  Note: You should have the product key for Windows 8 to create installation media.

  Step 2: Start to the recovery environment with installation of Windows 8 media

  It is another way to boot the PC and launch recovery tools when something goes wrong with the operating system.

  Please follow the steps below. Insert the DVD to install Windows 8 on DVD-ROM and restart your computer.

  (a) once you start your computer by using the Windows DVD or the system repair disc, a black screen is displayed with the gray text "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD". Press a button on any.
  (b), select the exact time and the type of keyboard.
