Replacement of the print heads

My printer is the Officejet Pro 8500 909.  It seems that the Black/Yellow Printhead is toast. I can get one online for $57.00. The next thing is how to replace? I can't find the owners manual.

The paper here is a video and other information for the replacement of the print head in your Officejet 8500 a909g.  You will find the Manual documentation and other user here.

  • Z6200 - printhead status: unknown, impossible to load the print heads.

    Hello

I am a user of HP DJ 5500 long and just before Christmas, we have invested in a Z6200. Right now, I have a problem that happens with him because he is stuck in a loop trying to replace the printheads.

I spent some time trying to reinstall the print heads and I tried the suggestion for the Z6100

Nothing I've tried has been able to clear this loop. Is there a way to do a hard reset, then insert the PH as new? Or is that what makes the above method? Right now, I'm off the printer and the print heads on.

Any help would be appreciated massively, I had to do this thing up 3 flights of stairs and still have not actually seen print!

Remove all the ink cartridges and the print head if you don't have it already. Turn on the plotter and you will be asked for supplies, don't know if the ink cartridges and printheads first. When it asks to insert the items one at a time and the blinking icon must return to solid. Maybe your have one or several heads wrong causing the problem. If it rejects a print head print head must be indicated on the display as to which one is causing the problem.

I have a HP Photosmart eStation all in one printer-C510a.  When I print the works are very pale.  I changed the ink cartrideges and cleaned the print heads.  Still very pale.  Any ideas what to do next?

    Hi rab27,.

Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! I understand that when you are printing on your HP Photosmart eStation C510, the output is very pale, you attempted to clean the print heads and replace cartridges without success. In order to better assist you, what is the current operating system you use, Windows or Mac and what version?

I assure you, you are able to make a copy. Can make you a black copy with no problems?

    3. right click on your C510 and access print options

  • I have the print head and the alignment of the problems with our officejetpro8500 910 a.

We noticed that the cyan ink was not printing. The product is out of warranty about five weeks before we noticed a problem. We have replaced all the ink with the new hp ink cartridges. We have tried printhead cleaning several times until the third level cleaning when cleaning the print head has failed. We tried to align the printheads without success. We have been dealing with this during more than a month now. We have only 440 pages printed during our first page of self-test diagnostics. Our print head shows that it is under warranty until April 4,2012. We consulted a repair center. We have exausted all the other options until the replacement printhead. We changed to print in black only. Now, she wants to print a test page everytime we try to print something. Ink, we bought at costco for this printer was a third of the price of a new model of 8600. Please help before my wife beat me with this printer!

If the printhead says it expires April 3, 2013, so the date of warranty.  You should be able to get a replacement print head by contacting technical support of HP and good news, it should be free, since the part is under warranty.  You can join the 1-800-474-6836 technical support to the United States and the Canada International users click here.  Let me know what happens.

  • Problem with the HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer: clean the print heads each time it is turned on

    Hello everyone,

the printer HP all-in-one Officejet Pro 8500 (A909a - product n. CB022A) clean the print heads whenever I turn it on. This problem affects any HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer, it is not a problem only of this one I bought. It is a boring bug and annoying because each power clean print heads on involves two bad disadvantages:

    1. waste of ink (each heads cleaning process consumes little ink);
    2. too much time (2-3 minutes) to prepare the printer after plugging.

I upgraded my printer with the latest firmware available on the HP site (firmware ver. DLM1FN1006BR), but the bug is still present.

    At this point, I ask:

    1. There is a way (or procedure) to disable automatic cleaning this useless to all power on?
    2. Can we communicate with the HP engineers or tell me how to contact directly one of them to indicate the bug and request a new firmware updated?

Please don't tell me to leave the printer on all the time or that the printheads to each cleaning power is normal behavior! Where then are power and ink savings claimed for this printer model?

I hope that a solution to this problem. Thanks in advance to everyone will help me!

Maintenance when the printer is turned on is normal and is required to keep the printheads in good health (not blocked). See here for more information.

With respect to energy savings, the printer automatically goes to low power mode when the don't feel not for awhile.  It is not necessary turn the unit on to save energy.
