SX20 Content WXGA
Hi all
Does anyone know if the SX20 can receive H.239 WXGA (1280 x 800)?
And if MCU4500 is configured content H.239 as 'Passthrough' mode, the MCU to receive and send content to SX20 to WXGA?
Unfortunately, I have no PC that can send content to WXGA.
Best regards
Kotaro Hashimoto
Hi Kotaro,
Yes, the SX20 does not support the WXGA as input for live video (main video and presentation), but the resolution is 1280 x 768. Take a look at the data sheet on the session Live video resolutions:
http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/prod/collateral/ps7060/ps11304/ps11313/ps1142...
Regarding MCU, you can pass the WXGA content using passthrough mode, however, using this mode, MCU wont transcode the content, i.e., all the conference participants to this same video resolution support, otherwise, MCU will lower the quality of the content given the low resolution negotiated by the endpoints.

Content preview on SX20?
I'm missing this option, or you can preview the content on a SX20 when using the remote control?
I know how to get an overview of the content on the Touch8 and the Touch10, but can't seem to understand on the remote SX20.
If I understand it is correct, you are in a video conference and you want to preview the content of the presentation you send on the screen until you send actually, similar to what the EX series is? If Yes, you must use a tactile device to allow this functionion, and that said, I don't know if this is possible on the largest such codecs of the C series, but I don't have a button to test.

SX20 Quick Set registered but can not make calls
We have several new SX20 units, two of which I installed and registered via SIP with UCM (v8.6.2, required a pack of devices). I can make a call to the SX20 since a regular IP phone (7961 - SCCP), answering the call to unity of telepresence and continue a conversation only one voice. However what composition of the SX20 the other SX20 or any other IP phone it briefly displays "call for binding", then it goes immediately to the "call was disconnected. I tried just the DN 4-digit, as well as the SIP URI of numbering. Here is a part of the log output of command line for the sx20 indicating the call SIP is rejected with a 403 forbidden message.
It is worth noting that before these devices, we have had no recorded via SIP, SCCP phone only. At this point, these devices don't need to dial outside of our network. I had a case open for two weeks and keep TAC is passed between the teams of telepresence and the AAU. I told them we have never had a SIP device registered with our University Complutense of MADRID before and if there is nothing else to be configured, the answer was nothing more for internal calls only. I'm trying to get escalated now, but thought I'd give forums a go. Any help is greatly appreciated, and I apologize if this question is that something is ridiculously simple.

A look at the logs on your case - looks like there is no number to call in the header AMATURES or Contact, so CUCM rejects the appeal and sends the 403 forbidden. Note the field 'From' below - should be sip:[email protected] / * /. What you configured as your SIP URI in your SX20? Not that familiar with the SX20, but on my EX90 in the laboratory, there is a field of a SIP URI for that I had to enter the DN @ address >. Anything on CUCM that would block the DN to be passed to the SX call to IP phone?

Double screen in Cisco Telepresence SX20
Hi all
I have a recently installed SX20 units which are registered on a VCS. the unit has the following options installed.
NaturalPresenter / MultiSite / PremiumResolution / DualDisplay
When I make a call to another site and I m send a content, I´d like to see on the screen on the left side in full screen the remote site.
And on the right screen, I need see what I m sending.
Anyone know how to make this configuration?
You suggest you have a look on the Administrator's guide, choose the one corresponding to the version of software you are using: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/collaboration-endpoints/telepresence-quick-set-series/products-maintenance-guides-list.html
Go to control panel, category "Vidéo", "monitors:, select 'Dual' or 'DualPresentationOnly'. '. See screenshot below:
Go to the video output and output hdmi 1 and hdmi 2 value what configuration you need. monitor i.e. first, second, presentation only, see the screenshot below:

Is the SX20 integrated VNC Viewer such as Edge 95 for content sharing. If so, please indicate the configuration steps.
It was a nice feature, but in fact, I never really seen anyone using, so I guess that
its ok that's not present.
I've seen people using just jabber video to switch to a mcu/multiway conference
with JabberVideo with audio and video mute with one app or office.
This could be a solution here as well. There are also transmitters of the wireless, display
could picture you could build something with airplay or a raspberry IP and vnc yourself if his need.

How 2 sets of SX20 to hold a conference to compose the SIP address by Internet
Dears, the client offer us their address of sip SX20 as sx20@xxx.com, How can I pay my side SX20 to have a teleconference this SIP address online?
Thank you very much. Matthew
It's going to do a DNS lookup, so if people call you have records correct SRV up then it'll work. If they don't, or if their system is not registered with a SIP proxy, well, then it won't work.
We use a VCSC/VCSE combo and have h.323 and SIP SRV records in place that point to the FQDN of the VCS-E sitting outside the firewall...
You should really consider upgrading your system if the latest version is TC7.3.2, but I would wait until TC7.3.3 published some time in May.
If you do not have a valid service on contracts in place, then you can get a free upgrade by contacting Cisco TAC and reference this security bulletin; http://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20140926-bash - or this one: http://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20140409-heartbleed scroll down and expand "software getting fixed", then expand 'Customers without service contract' and follow the instructions.

SX20. HDMI with audio and video?
Hello.
I have to integrate a SX20 codec with Extron HDMI matrix as the main source of video + audio.
The main HDMI input, support with audio video integrated?Thank you.
Luis
We use the scalers Extron (DVS-605) to power the video (from several cameras in a provision of PiP) in our SX20s - however, we feed the audio through the mic connector.
We have not tried audio HDMI at all. The cards say it should work, but there is another discussion (ie the SX20 - Audio HDMI camera) where he says it's a bug with the documentation (CSCuh72577).
The TC7 Administrator's Guide (Page 61) says that the HDMI Audio works that when using a camera with a built-in microphone Cisco, and, if you use any other device, the HDMI audio input will be disabled little matter however, you set the end point.
The CE8.0.x software has removed the option "Audio input HDMI Mode" completely (Page 8 of CE8 Administrator's Guide).
In short, I don't think you'll have some luck with your Extron HDMI audio, so you'll have to do as we did and feed your audio in via the microphone or the content entered.

Hi all
We have a SX20 behaving strange while someone shares/present the contents of the remote location.
When the remote site is sharing the content first, the local site with the Sx20 is not able to receive the content. To make it work, the SX20 site must share first, and after that the two sites can share content without problem.
Have a hard time to isolate the problem, we tried to change cables and a factory reset, but nothing has worked. Any help is very appreciated.
Software version: TC7.3.3.c84180a
Installed options: DualDisplay

Thank you
One-way content is usually a firewall issue. Have you checked that the firewalls between the two ends are corretcly configured to allow media streams. With the fact that you can get it to work by opening the ports from one end, sounds much like there is some incoming block.
Otherwise, we will need a little more detail on the configurations at each end. Do you have the details on what is endpoint end? Is that what this SX20 another, or something else? Call control mechanisms are in place at both ends (VCS, CUCM, autonomous)? Which protocol of appeal are used (H.323 or SIP)?

2 - when the SX20 is idle, just monitor 1 local video shows. If I connect a PC to the content source and then the monitor 2 shows.

At the end are 2 pictures that show the problem.
I want to watch the video video in separate screens where the content is not sharing (SX20) remote and local. How can I do?

Hello Sharong-
Change the following two parameters on your codec, and this should help you to what you want. When TC6 came out and Cisco introduces new options of selfview, it changed how the codec have behaved and treated the selfview when using dual display.
Video SelfviewDefault FullscreenMode: On
Video SelfviewDefault OnMonitorRole: Second
When content is sent, it will display on your secondary display selfview becomes a GLITCH on the first view OnMonitorRole will on your second screen selfview when content is not displayed, and modepleinecran make selfview display full-screen when it is on the second screen instead of a PIP.
For more information, you can take a look at the following bugs: CSCuh04746 and CSCuf74115.

Key the Option for monitoring REMOT sx20
SX20 shows "snapshot requires a key option for remote monitoring. but I have not received any key option with the option key of remote monitoring feature of Cisco. another link said remote monitoring option will require additional cost of 1 January 2016. Now my question is how to activate it and if it takes the cost what is the part number for key option for remote monitoring...
The obligation to have a key Option Remote Monitoring installed to see snapshots of the cameras and the content on the page of the Web Interface call control was introduced in the version of the TC7.3.3 software. If you are running a version of software before that, then you will be able to see the snapshots without such a key installed.
To get the key of the remote control, you should buy Cisco, is around US $100 price per endpoint.
The license you wish to lie beneath the level superior SKU L-TP-RM. Then choose L-C-SERIES-RM, L-MX-SERIES-RM, L-SX-SERIES-RM, L-EX-SERIES-RM or L-TEACHER-SERIES-RM below, according to what end point of model you need to.
There are a number of people in the forums who see it as nothing else that a money grab from Cisco as they now charge for a feature that should be free.
This has been discussed several times in these forums before - some links to sample on this feature, the necessary licenses, and problems with the features are:

Hi guys,.
I recently upgraded a SX20 and link ISDN to the new TC6 and after the upgrade, I can't make ISDN call.
I can see and manage the ISDN link from the SX20 configuration web page, but the status of the ISDN connection is: error, SIP not saved.
I use H323 network and I don't use SIP between SX20 and ISDN link and with the old version, I could receive and make calls. Now when I try to dial the ISDN using the new interface TC6 endpoint indicates that it does not find the ISDN link.
Thank you for your help,
Adrian
Hi Adrien, Valentine's day. Theres something happens with outgoing enabled on the link and the Codec for this, and we have two CDETS opened on them. There are always SIP service is enabled on the Codec with link and link itself. Codec uses IPV6 local links for the link itself. Even if the sip xstatus on the codec has its inactive etc, the codec message still SIP REGISTER to the device registration link. Link runs a FWD SIP process that handles the request. Sorta like a mini SIP registrar if you want. Codec will send the message to REGISTER using link-local IPV6 address. Example of message is less than 200 Ok.

I removed my own addresses, so you get the picture here.
It is the same for the link. Link will send REGISTRY as well to himself.
Even if your using H320 as outgoing Protocol call, messaging between the codec and the liaison unit is still SIP as the outgoing call is still SIP of the codec for the link even if you chose H320.
You can see all happening all by running: Journal ctx sippacket debug 9 and connect the output to see the messaging back and forth between devices. This is why the Service SIP on the codec cannot be disabled.
The outgoing enabled on both devices and it records not as what Adrian has met is odd. So the question has been filed and is under investigation.
CSCue57128 - SIP in a strange state connecting to link ISDN (Codec)
CSCue73049 - outbound SIP on ISDN link activation causes lose her registration (link)
These are new, so the visibility may not be there yet.
If you see a problem with the link is not not able to register, check to see if outgoing SIP are enabled on the link. If so, turn it off and start.
Do the same on the codec as well. Disable outgoing SIP and restart the computer. There may be some cases, you do not see this, as the investigation continues with the bug above two ID's
I hope this helps.

SX20 dual display - how to view the presentation on monitor 1
Hello
We have a SX20 (TC7.0.2) and two monitors connected as follows: -.
Monitor 1 - projector
2 - TV LCD monitor
If we have a video call with a remote party, we want the remote side to display on the monitor 1 (projector) and free view on the monitor 2 (TV). This works well.
If we begin to share a presentation, we want the presentation to display on the monitor 1 (projector) and the video of the remote to move to the screen 2 side (TV). Is this possible?. In our tests, the presentation always appears on Monitor 2 (TV LDC - which is smaller and harder to see the presentation on).
We tried switching constantly monitors for the presentation to appear on the projector and the remote on the TV and part that works OK for a presentation share the call, but when you make a normal video with no introduction the remote party call is then always on TV and free view is on the projector more great if it's not good.
We are really looking for an option of local available that displays the video of the remote party on monitor 1 and then when a presentation is shared poster presentation on monitor 1 and moves the video of the remote party to monitor 2.
Y at - it a setting option that I missed or y at - it a way to create a custom layout to do this?
Thanks and greetings
David Vieritz
DD option is installed.
I don't think this is possible, because I think that monitor 1 always displays the remote site, while the 2 monitor shows usually content presentation. It's not a way to return automatically without entering the codec configuration each time to reverse the monitors.
The SX20 has not the ability to create custom models, only the integrating codecs can, as the C60/90 and SX80.

Hi guys, I have a new SX20 with 2 screens in the output interface (HDMI´s) and a dvi input, video calls are on h323 and work very well, the problem is this, when I try to see the content of my laptop on the second screen, I need to build on the start sharing call control button , and if after that, I make a video call the content local or remotely to any screen, it only works if I press the Start button for sharing once again and then the content is shared at the other end.
I'd like to think that this is the correct behavior, but the customer wants to have the video call and also have the opportunity to see the second screen content without sharing at the other end, only local content (on the screen), unless he press the share button.
I thought it was impossible, but he showed me an another old sx20 with version 7.0 that does what he wants, I ve tried to copy the configuration, but still does not "local sharing."
SX20 version is 7.3.5.a93bdb1
Please comment.
Preview presentation in a call room was introduced in TC7.3.0.
There has been a number of other presentation in new versions of the firmware as well - so the differences in the behavior of the two systems is probably related to the version of the software they run. I suggest you take a look at the latest version of the TC7 release notes that describe in detail a number of these changes and what versions, they have been implemented in.
Also note that all revisions from TC7 before TC7.3.6 have been deferred because of security vulnerabilities.

SX20 with dual - can output duplicate / clone
Hello
I have a SX20 with dual display running s/w version TC7.3.3.
Two monitors are connected and I put the configuration as below
Setup > video > monitors = double
I get the far - end and discovered on the first monitor and the second will be content presentation
On change
Setup > video > monitors = Single
I get everything - Far end, near end and the presentation on the same screen
and then the changes below
Setup > video > SelfviewDefault modepleinecran > on
Setup > video > SelfviewDefault OnMonitorRole > second
Setup > video > output > HDMI 1 > MonitorRole = 1
Setup > video > output > HDMI 2 > MonitorRole = 1
But the situation is still the same
Please help me to find a solution, I need to clone screens.
Concerning
Boily
Well, I think I understand what you want now.
If the monitors are the unique value you will see end, selfview and presentation all shared on the same screen. However, if the monitors are set to dual, you see end on a screen with selfview and presentation on another. There is now way to just see the far - end on both screens without possibility of selfview or presentation, screen share or taking a whole screen for itself, if one is active.

The C - Series (TC5) ditch company directory SSH list content
Hi, how can I list the contents of a corporate directory on the c-series ssh device hollow?
xcommand directory search PhonebookType: Corporate (shows only the files)
xcommand search phone book (only the local show 'my contacts' directory).
I have a codec that will not show any content, but it shows the corporate folder.
It would be much simpler to debug this way, if I could do that trough ssh.
Y at - he of the log files / debug commands that shows why the contents of the phone book was not?
