Targus AMU75US retractable Compact Optical Scroll mouse

My pointer jumps around and inserts the words currently being entered in another section of the page.  What should do?

Hello MaryMae44,

You are using a laptop with a touchscreen? If so, we can try to disable the touchpad.

In addition, use the mouse applet in the control panel to change the speed of the mouse.

You can also consult the documentation that came with the mouse to reduce the sensitivity of the mouse.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Best regards

  • win 8, compact optical mouse 500 v.2.0 undetected on a single laptop

    Hi all!

I've encountered the following problem and was hoping that some users could help me:

Yesterday, I was using my Microsoft Compact Optical Mouse 500 v.2.0 on my laptop Asus A75V (Win 8, x 64). Today, the mouse responds, well plugged into the USB port (laser light still works normally). I first thought that the problem is in the USB port, so I tried to plug it into another port, but that was of no use. So I was wondering if all my USB ports comes to die: no, they have not, because when I plugged USB devices on each of the USB ports, all of them have been recognized perfectly (a mechanical mouse, an mp3 player and a smartphone). So I thought that the problem is not in the USB, but in mice himself, who had me test the mouse on a second laptop, Asus also: surprise, 'resurrected' mouse and it worked normally. So I suspect a problem software on my PC and uninstalled, then reinstalled the Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center - which also did not help. At the point of desperation, I went to the Manager of peripherals-> mouse, just to know that, apparently, the laptop does not recognize the existence of the optical mouse and only shows Clickpad ASUS of Port PS/2. I decided to persevere and seen the hidden devices in the Manager as well, just to discover that the mouse is not found in HID-compatible mouse option either.

It is really annoying and the troubleshooter in Microsoft's not going beyond which suggests to plug the mouse into a different USB port...

    Help? =(

    Hi Pavel,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forum.

I'm sorry to know that the mouse does not work on the laptop. I appreciate your efforts to try to solve this problem.

It seems that Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center or the laptop itself is unable to detect the device for some unknown reason.

Kindly, follow these steps and check if that helps.

    Method 1:
If your laptop does not recognize the mouse, you can download and install the latest version of the USB 3.0 driver.

    http://support.ASUS.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=A75VM&OS=30

    Download and install the drivers
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-GB/Windows-8/all-drivers

    Method 2:
If this does not help and you also mentioned that this issue has started recently, you try to perform a system restore to that date, where he worked. This will help to restore any important place that has occurred.
    Please follow this link:
Restore the PC to a closest in time.

  • Logitech MX 518 Optical Gaming Mouse

I love my Logitech MX 518 Optical Gaming Mouse. But lately I noticed, it stops all of a sudden (I use Windows 7 64-bit home) and then I heard the sound of "beeboop" something of failing. After a second or two the mouse comes back to life. Then I checked my devices and under the Hardware tab, after my Logitech MX 518 Optical Gaming Mouse in the devices window, right-click, I noticed two entries. #1 (above) is: HID-compliant mouse and #2 (under the previous) is: Logitech HID-compliant G3/MX518 Optical Mouse.

Is it possible that two (2) different drivers trying to run my mouse and contradictory? Mouse HID-compliant #1 (Top) is microsoft driver which I think could be just the version of the connector and play that he implemented to be compatible with my Microsoft Sidewinder X 6 keyboard. All in 2(Under the previous) # Logitech HID - compliant G3 / MX518 Optical Mouse uses the SetPoint drivers, I guess, Logitech.
During games when my, the mouse freezes I am dead meat. I'm an avid gamer and this is killing me literally. Any thoughts would be welcome.

The HID-compliant mouse's settings and default Windows mouse driver, and
will the basic functions on all mice mouse, but should not be a problem
    (I also have peripheral Logi).

If the sound you hear the sound you get when plug you something in
a USB port, try another USB port and see if that helps.

If that doesn't help, you could try to reinstall or update the Logitech SetPoint software.

If the mouse just freezes in games you can disable V-sysnc, if it is enabled.

    Hi Alan,

1 Windows operating system you are using?

    2. What if the mouse works on different computers?

3 - is the device is not detected in Device Manager?

    Method 1:

You can read the following article and try to run the Microsoft Fixit and check.

would it be possible that the USB mouse has high power consumption?

    Hello!

It's not easy to say what the problem is, but you should do an update from the touchpad driver.
You can download it on the Toshiba driver download page:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

Furthermore, you have the problem only with the keyboard or an external mouse too?

  • light on optical notebook Mouse-mouse background does not. put in new battery. still does not

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

    Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

First of all, in general, the "bulb" in an optical mouse are not a bulb but alight-emitting Diode (led) and are not part of the user replacible.

While taking a mouse apart (very good) and you are looking for connections are a possibility, replacement parts (except batteries) is not.

If the battery is in correctly, it may be time to "bite the bullet" and buy a new mouse...

  • Scrolling mouse to the corner of the questions

I am facing a frustrating problem with my new mouse Microsoft hold. so much so that I plan to return. I hope there is a solution, because I love the mouse in the opposite case.

The problem I encounter is as follows:
Vertical scrolling can be done anywhere on the surface of the mouse, not only on the Groove or line dedicated for the scrolling of the mouse. I disabled the horizontal scrolling that I require it. What is happening, it is even if I drag upward or down on one of the buttons on the left or right, it scrolls. It is a problem because it scrolls randomly when I move my finger, even slightly, click, or move the mouse to select things on the screen.
The mouse is supposed to scroll anywhere on its surface, and if yes, is there a way I can limit the area he responds to scroll the commands, other wise my pages and programs are randomly scrolling around at a given time, which makes it almost impossible to get the work done.
I installed the software for the mouse and I uninstalled any software of older pointing devices. I'm on windows 7 64 bit.

I had this problem and it seems to go in key settings and turn off vertical flick it stopped to happen for me. Not sure if that was the problem everyone has been seen, but it helped me.

  • Driver for optical mini mouse

    Hello Javarom,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

I would be grateful if you can provide us with the following information to help us better understand the issue.

    1. Do all updated device drivers?
    2. Have you tried any other USB device? They are working properly or was the result even?

The error code that you found the Code 43 deals with the drivers for the device that doesn't work very well. One of the motors controlling the unit notified the operating system that the device has failed in some way.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

Run the fixit from Microsoft Fixit article and if that helps.

Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/hardware_device_problems/

    Method 2:

Run the hardware and devices Troubleshooter and check if that helps.

Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-hardware-and-devices-Troubleshooter

    Method 3

As this error message comes because of the drivers, if they are not updated, so I suggest you update the drivers and check if that helps.

    Update drivers: recommended links

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/update-drivers-recommended-links#update-drivers-recommended-links=Windows-7

Automatically get recommended drivers and updates for your hardware

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/automatically-get-recommended-drivers-and-updates-for-your-hardware

Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

    Thank you.
