Update BIOS on Pavilion Elite 510 t

Someone did he do the update of the BIOS for PC Pavilion Elite 510 t CTO? I missed when it came out, but with no problems. It - decided to issue with generation of double UUID (Universal Unique Identifier) for multiple systems in the: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=cp-101150-1 & cc = us & dlc = in & lc = in... =.

Not sure if I should just update the BIOS or to leave it alone.

Thanks for the tips.

Hello

It is an update that is secured with a bug as u mentioned, you can run the update if you are running win7 still you should have no problems... but at the same time if you have any problems and don't want to run the update you will be not missing out on anything.

My main drive is a 1.5 to and he sees very well. where can I find an update of the BIOS using the new drive? I have been to the page "downloads of software and the driver" and it does not list one. Am I out of luck?

When I ran Paragon booted from a USB stick to copy my 1.5 TB drive it given the disk as a disk of 2.7 to so I think the bios is seening it?

EDIT: The Intel rapid storage technology software sees as 2 862 TB, but windows doesn't see 746,52 GB.

    Thank you

    Solved!

Update card mother sata drivers and program "Fast storage Intel technology" and it now works fine.

Went to ma-configdotcom and ran their detection app and it recommended JMB36X_WinDrv_R1.17.65_WHQL_eSATA.zip of JMicron and Intel's SetupRST.exe. I ran both, restarted the computer and viola! He works and see all the new drive.  I hope this helps someone else.

  • Update BIOS to HP8100 Elite SFF

Often when I restart, the HP logo appears, the system hangs.  Another time does work ' t mouse after a reboot, and I have to unplug the USB port and use a different port. I thought that an update of the bios can solve these problems.   However, I am not clear when I go to the HP support network. It gives two options for the Bios 786 H 1 upgrade. From v1.04 to v1.05 and other v1.09 for v1.13. I V1.05 on my computor, does that mean it is up-to-date, or can I switch to V1.13? OS: Windows 7 64-bit sp1Windows 7 64 bit sp1

I don't have a 8100 Elite so can only reference the docs from HP

BIOS version 1.13 is the latest available for your 8100 Elite. If you look at the history of revisions for this release, you'll notice that it exposes all the fixes and improvements (normally) that have occurred since the first version.

Curiously, on the Review tab history of 1.13, it shows nothing before v1.08 but this version may not be the initial relase. Earlier versions of the bios are (and only 1.02 is actually documented as initial version in the release notes). I suspect that the reason is simply a change in HP/web documentation. Maybe it's because HP has simply changed the layout of the web page in the "release history" tab to include the actual corrections and improvements for each version (at the time the v1.05-> update 1.08 took place) and rather that fix HP old bios version documents/pages to reflect a new way of presenting history, HP has simply created a new branch of the document and ignored the old versions (with no notes to clarify the question)... But really, who knows why he is documented in two different ways...

The important thing is that bios v1.13 clearly indicates it is compatible with your elite 8100 sff and corrects a post blocking problem when certain hardware is plugged into a usb port. As you post hang questions, it is best to upgrade to the latest version of bios 1.13. Just take note that with the 1.13 update, he not do it back as mentioned in the release notes...

And if the bios does not have the grip of the post, then you may have other problems. First try update bios v1.13

  • Pavilion 500-046: update BIOS on Pavilion 500

Reviews of need for "HP consumer Desktoop PC BIOS Update (ROM family SSID ZAEO)." Downloaded the update, but when I tried to install, the screen went black for ten to fifteen minutes at that time, I panicked and shut down my computer. She started very well, but I am concerned about the update. Should I try again? Really should the screen be bleak for so long during the installation? It's VERY annoying. What can happen if I just don't install the update? My computer is a pavilion of 500, model 500-046.

    You are the very welcome.

A doorstop, this is what your PC is only good for after it no longer works.

I read a few posts from other members of the forum about the failure BIOS flashes after notification to support assistant.

Maybe they are the same model as yours. They were recent messages last week.

In any case, given that your PC works, I would leave it be.

The fact that the update has been downloaded and is on your PC should be of no interest.

It does not work by itself.  You have to find it in the folder of the file and double-click on and run the installer again.

But if you get any more notifications of the wizard to support updates to the BIOS you can ignore them.

  • Looking for a NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller Driver Update for HP Pavilion Elite e9140f

Hi, I added a second hardrive that is 3 TB and my desktop is running windows 7 with SP 1.  I have been informed by Acronis technical support I need to get an NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller update (I have version

NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller version 11.1.0.29 installed).  Can someone tell me what version I need update too and where to download?  Thank you!  Mark

The last driver from Chipset from nVidia for your computer is located on the nForce Chipset Driver Version 15.56 download page. This driver install NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller driver v11.1.0.43. This driver, however, isn't likely to solve your problem.

You will need to check that the hard drive is seen in BIOS until the computer will recognize the drive. You will need to run the Windows 'Disk management' console to partition the hard drive in at least two partitions, MBR or GPT partition before you can use the drive.

What I've read, HP uses modified BIOS, not those generally available on the motherboard manufacturers websites, even IF you can find your Board on the website of the Board manufacturer. The only "safe" to install BIOS would be those that HP show for download on their Web page to your computer, in your case this page is:

My current version of BIOS [according to Windows system] is American Megatrends Inc. 6.07 date 19/05/2010. Please help me find where I can get an update of the bios for my motherboard.

    Right now I'm really confused!

After reading the return of Best Buy Canada policy [which gives me 14 days to return my purchased GPU]. I decided to go against the advice I got from this thread and another HP forum.

I bought the Zotac GTX 970 at Best Buy, thinking it could be a very small chance that it will work, and if it does not work I have he's coming back!

To my surprise after installing it, it started no problem! I installed the latest drivers from the website of Zotac and then rebooted the system, but still no problems!

I ran all the points of reference 3-DMark, more than twice with no problems! [which is about 7 times faster than my ATI hd5770]

    Here are my results: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/6457066

I played a few minutes with the deity: sin of origin with ultra graphics to 80 FPS and still no problem!

I also played a few minutes with supreme commander2 [game 2010 year] at 60 FPS and still no problem!

I close on my computer about ten times, just to make sure that the system is stable and still no problems!

Here are two pictures of my information system showing that I run the version of the BIOS HP 6 and the GTX 970!

    Hello

Disconnect the PC and press and hold power for 30 seconds. Remove and replace the battery CMOS. It's a $4 item. Now let's see what happens. If no joy, then try the steps above once again.

If your PC support has been changed or modified then put it back in its original state.

  • HP Pavilion elite e9000 (mother of IPIEL-LA3) - updated bios for RAM w / 4 GB DDR?

    Hello

I bought a computer (custom config) Pavilion elite e9000 of costco in 2009, so I've offended have an exact model in 31 configurations HP number has for this model in the software support.  He had 6 GB (3 x 2 GB) DDR3 ram on a motherboard with Intel Core 2 Quad CPU @2.5 GHz IPIEL-A3...  Bought with Vista, now under Windows 7 64-bit

Trying to speed up the computer (vs upgrade) and from what I can tell, 4 GB of RAM chips are not compatible with the motherboard.

Try to understand if a BIOS upgrade would work, but the card BIOS upgrade mother IPIEL-LA3 throws an error 253.

Y at - it an update to software that I can do to allow me to update the RAM (like to go to 12-16 GB of my 6 today)?

    Here are the specifications and configurable options for your desktop HP Pavilion Elite e9110t. Here are the specs because that's card mother IPIEL-A3 (Eureka3). According to specifications, your system supports the following memory configurations;

Four DDR3 DIMM sockets (240 pin)

Supports DIMM DDR3 2 GB modules

    Supports dual channel memory architecture

    PC3-8500 1066 MHz

    PC3-6400 800 MHz

    Memory non - ECC, unbuffered

Supports up to 8 GB on 64 bit computers

Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit computers

4 GB DDR3 DIMMS are not supported by this system. It's usually because that material (chipset) does not support sizes larger than those listed. In rare cases the limitation may have been imposed by HP in the BIOS. The update of the BIOS address not to increase the size memory or questions. Error 253 means that the BIOS is not for your system or your system does not meet the minimum requirements of the update. If you want to install the update in safe, you must install it to Vista.

BIOS update 'sp43102.exe' requires a Microsoft Windows Vista operating system installed.

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210f: update video card

A PNY gtx 950 should physically be in a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210f? I already know that I have to upgrade the power supply, but before shelling out more money, I figured I would see if anyone knew if the card fits?

    KKingotu, welcome to the forum.

The problem you will have with the GTX 950 is, it requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  Your computer was released on February 5, 2010.  There is no way to update the UEFI BIOS.  You can contact Technical Support PNY to see if they have a VBIOS update for the video card that will work with your motherboard.

Meanwhile in the space provided, you can measure e/s rear plate on the front of the computer case to see if any of the components.  In addition, it is a wide double card (two locations).

Please click on the button + Thumbs up if I helped you and click on accept as Solution If your problem is resolved.

  • Video card (and others) upgrades for a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-510 t

Hello... First of all, I just want to say that these forums have been an invaluable resource for me in my quest to upgrade my current PC. A lot of good answers and always at the top of the Google search results, you guys have been so super helpful. Without a doubt a very different experience from what I got when I bought my PC from a company that rhymes with 'hell '.

I have a few specific questions, however, and thought I'd throw them to let experts weigh... For the record, I have a HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 510 t with all parts except for the video card, which is currently an ATI over-pants v4800. I am running three monitors 20 "(1 DVI and Display Port 2 at present, but who can be flexible). Also, I don't a few moderate games (FPS, MMO) and watch a lot of Netflix...

    1. I'm certainly looking to update my video card, but I do not know what actually fits. I'm ready to upgrade the PSU as well (probably to the Corsair CX-600 recommended elsewhere on this forum), so power should not be a problem. And money is not a huge problem either, as long as the card is less than $500 or more. I've been watching some of the newer cards (like a 680 GTX or even the new 770), but I'm afraid that they will not physically fit in the case, or will be not compatible with the motherboard (which seems to be the PCIe 1.0? Or I read wrong?). So basically, my ultimate question is: what is the best possible graphics card given my case current and potentially put to level power supply, motherboard, I could use? If it's important, SLI is feasible but not more.

    2. I also intend to add additional RAM. The page on the card to my PC to the HP support Site says it takes DDR3 1600 PC3 10600, but everything that I find these days in the RAM is DDR 3 1600 PC3 12800. My mother/PC card will support the 12800 or do I have to keep hunting to find 10600 sticks?

    3. and finally, I'll also put in a Pro 840 Samsung SSD. Do you know if the motherboard compatible with the SATA connectors suitable for speeds of 6 GB? Just plug page says "SATA" and does not specify a version.

Any help you could give me on these questions would be greatly appreciated. This computer has served me well for a few years now, and I'm hoping to keep it for a few more years. Thanks in advance and have a nice day...

    Aaron

Here are the specifications of plant origin and configurable options for your desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 510 t CTO and here are the specs of his card mother IPISB-CH (Cleveland). According to the specifications, the motherboard uses the Chipset Intel H67 Express that supports an extension v2.0 x 16 PCIe and 3Gbs SATAII (SATA2).

    (1) SLI is not "feasible", so no need to go there. GeForce GTX 680 cards are going to be long, perhaps too long. You need to measure the space available at the back of the case more further along the x 16 PCIe slot to determine what can be installed. You will need to resign it a notch or two... until you find one that matches. The CX600 Corsair is a great choice and fits, even if you can buy the place CX600M. The CX600M is modular and allows much better management of the cables and so the potential for a better air circulation.

    (2) with regard to memory, the State of the plug;

    Four DIMM DDR3 240-pin connectors
    Supports the PC3 10600 connectors DIMM DDR3 (1333 MHz)
    Memory non - ECC, unbuffered

Then, two sets of most of these (2 x 4 GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Kits should do the trick. You can also go to the website Crucial.com and use two of their 'guaranteed compatible memory upgrade'.

    (3) your computer supports speeds SATAII (3Gbs) and this is the best it will do. However, the SATA connector is identical to what is found on a SSD SATAIII and it should be compatible with your computer.

    Please send BRAVO

    Thank you

The ASUS GTX 560 should adapt and work very well. The Antec PSU is great and very likely to have problems in the space provided. It can interfere with connections to the motherboard and push against the CD/DVD discs. Please look at the Corsair CX600 instead. It is only slightly larger than the block of power SUPPLY HP stock and is known to adapt.

  • Pavilion Elite 9120Y running Windows7 (64-bit) has frozen. BIOS does not detect not SATA.

HP Pavilion Elite 9120Y (about 1 year and more) running Windows 7 (64 bit) froze in the middle of a task.  The fan used to rev up every once in a while for 1 year or more.

I opened the box and looked for the capacitors blown on the video card, but the video card is OK.

A few times I was able to go in Windows 7 safe mode, but the computer froze in safe mode.  After a while computer ceased to recognize the HARD drive.

Diagnosis (memcheck) startup DVD worked for a day or two before that stopped working.  Now, I have a Fedora LiveSpin USB and it starts after I disconnect the DVD, CD and HARD drive (SATA all).  Even when the HARD drive is connected, and the Fedora boots, he becomes failure SATA COMMRESET.

I have to power off / power on many times before the start screen appears (otherwise, it's only in black).

I have reset the CMOS (change jumper setting and changed back to the original setting).

In short, it looks like SATA features doesn't work anymore, or bad BIOS.

How can I request the upgrade of BIOS (for the HP 9120y website) if it does not start Windows 7?

Any other solution of workarounds, tips, troubleshooting pointers appreciated.

I don't have a PS/2 port on my computer, so I can't get a wired keyboard and mouse. Does anyone know how to access the BIOS with this configuration?

I bought a USB keyboard and he answered in the same way... No bios access. I then studied why it did not work and discovered that it was the way in which he has been connected to the computer. I had initially plugged into a USB hub when he was not working and I moved it directly into a USB port and it works! I plugged my keyboard wireless directly into the USB port and it works too! Thanks for your help... I wouldn't have thought of it if it wasn't for to recommend you the USB keyboard.
