Windows does not load! ___Loadkey error 1117
OK, so when I turn on my PC, it looks like it is loading up... then it goes to a page "Loading Windows files", then an error pops up:
"LoadKey failed with error 1117 (STHIVE #0).
Then I press ok that error box, so now he takes me to the "Startup Repair", it isn't that thing for a few moments, but then he shows me errors:

Satellite A215 S6816 won't mode BIOS and Windows does not load
Hello
I'm helping a friend to determine what the problem could be on his laptop satellite A215 - S6816 Windows does not load on start up and it says "press F2 for Setup, press F12 for the boot device selection menu" but niether one of these options works no matter what I do.
I tried them on start up but nothing happens. It will be not just to enter mode BIOS or the menu. It will say please wait or entering the menue, but yet again, nothing happens.
What else can I try to enter the menu, either to get the system to get windows to load? This could be a motherboard problem? Hard drive problem?Thanks in advance.
Hello
If you are unable to access the BIOS, or to load the Windows operating system, and then a serious hardware problem is present.
Eventually he s a motherboard related question that means it could be a faulty motherboard or just a small part of the motherboard as a ROM chip for example.
I doubt this can be fixed without help the ASP.There is thus only one real solution. go to ASP. Guys must verify the simple parts to determine what part is affected.
Good luck

Windows does not load on a Satellite A350 with 500 GB Seagate external HARD drive
There is a problem with this laptop, A350-043 running Vista Edition Windows Home Premium 64 bit, part number: PSAL6C - 04S 015
In other words: when it is connected to a 9NK2AL-510 SEAGATE 500 GB SATA DRIVE EXTERNAL USB (s/n: 5QG1YH1E) Windows will not load, it will up to and gel just before the green movement of the bar. If the USB cable is released and handed over in a second, Windows continues to load normally and all is well.
Otherwise, the operating system will have up to 15 minutes to load. Looking in the BIOS features, there is no option to boot from USB available, so it can not be disabled. I have updated the BIOS of Toshiba to the latest version without any change in this issue.
I tested and confirmed that the problem persists no matter what USB port is used.
The external drive is fully functional, and there is no error or problems with it loading Windows. I reported this problem to Seagate so that Toshiba in the hope that a solution can be offered on this, but has not heard back on anything either yet.Do you mean that the laptop needs 15 minutes to load the Windows operating system, even if the external HARD disk is not connected?
It sounds weird, and I doubt that this can be related to any software problemFirst of all, you should check the boot order in the BIOS the USB should be set at the last or last position.
Second, you should check if the same problem persists even after a fresh install of the OS in some cases, that the start-up procedure could be affected due to the process software and installed background.But if the new installation of the operating system is not enough and if the issue persists then I guess a hardware problem (motherboard?) could be the reason for that and, therefore, a technician of the laptop must be contacted!
That s in my opinion

original title: HELP ME PLEASE!
(I am running windows xp) I need help! I tried installin linux ubuntu for netbook 10 on my msi u100, but everything was wrong when my little brother from my FlashDrive from the port, it has been installin linux from. so now when I turn on my computer it will not load windows, it will just have the msi logo and then the screen goes black and it does not load windows xp.
Netbooks and also most computers these days, do not come with an installation CD. Instead, it has a recovery partition. Assuming that you have not deleted the recovery partition,
Take a look at this:

Windows does not load and displays a black screen when it is connected to the power supply
Original title - Windows Vista running on my laptop Sony VAIO
Trying to turn on my laptop using the built in battery nothing happens. When the laptop is connected to the power supply and turned on Windows does not. It shows something in the sense that it does not properly off. It tries to load back to a system restore point before the last stop, but seems to fail again during this process. All that is displayed is a black screen. Currently the power on light is on, the battery light is on, but the drive activity light is off.
Yet once again, I switched on the laptop and finally the Startup Repair process is automatically called. After the display of the bar to attempt repairs, the system has been repaired successfully. As a result, the I ran my Norton anti-virus, followed by Windows Updatesoftware.

How to restore factory settings when Windows does not load?
I'm recovering from the laptop (Dell Inspiron N5010) friend who has been infected with a malware ransom (ICE Cyber Crime Center Backdoor.Win32.ZAccess.erds). I used the Kapersky rescue disc to remove the virus from the ransom but now Windows will not load and I suspect that the MBR has been affected. At startup, the Dell logo appears and the window loading appears briefly, but then you have the 'blue screen of death' flashes and the cycle repeats. The bsod error is:
A PROBLEM HAS BEEN DETECTED AND WINDOWS HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN TO AVOID DAMAGE
ON YOUR COMPUTER
IF THIS THE FIRST TIME YOU ' VE SEEN THIS STOP ERROR SCREE.
RESTART YOUR COMPUTER. IF THIS SCREEN APPEARS AGAIN, FOLLOW
THE FOLLOWING STEPS:
CHECK FOR VIRUSES ON YOUR COMPUTER. REMOVE ANY NEWLY INSTALLED
HARD DRIVES OR HARD DRIVE CONTROLLERS. CHECK THE HARD DRIVE
TO MAKE SURE THAT IT IS CORRECTLY CONFIGURED AND COMPLETED.
RUN CHKDISK /F TO CHECK FOR HARD DRIVE CORRUPTION, AND THEN RESTART YOUR COMPUTER.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
STOP: 0X0000007B (0XF78D2524, 0XC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)
The F2 and F12 keys work, but the F8 key will not open the "Advanced Boot Options", so I can't to the "Restore Dell DataSafe and emergency Backup" or any other advanced option. System Restore will not work either.
I ran chkdsk and sfc hard disk (via the Kapersky Rescue disk) and neither solved the problem. Then I copied its data on the hard drive.
I would like to restore the laptop to factory settings (assuming that it would be better to reinstall Windows because the drivers Dell would be included already?). There is a folder on the hard disk called "emergency" and contains a Backup*.exe file and several Backup*.dsb files.
Is given this scenario, possible to restore to factory settings? Or am I forced to reinstall Windows from scratch?
What version of Windows?
7b error message indicates the operation SATA (SATA Mode) setting got changed in the BIOS Setup or possibly the hard drive may be roasted.
Restart, and then press F2 before Windows starts to load to open the BIOS Setup. Look for the option SATA or SATA Mode operation (models name it differently). I don't see the BIOS screen options in the online manual, but the options for this parameter can be: RAID, AHCI or RAID Autodetect / ATA. Post back and we say exactly what options are available and how she got now.
If you are in the BIOS Setup, also find the Boot Sequence option and make sure that the internal hard drive is ranked first on the list. If it is not first, move it to all first, save the changes and exit the installation program. See if it boots now.
If you reinstall Windows by using a Windows Dell reinstall drive, you should not ask for the product key. It should install automatically by itself. HOWEVER, you will need to have the product keys for all the other apps that you want on this system, for example Microsoft Office, so make sure that you have the product keys and the floppies to install before you clean the hard drive.

Satellite P300-28th does not start - windows does not load
I bought Toshiba P300 28th last week. I spent Vista business successfully in Windows XP Professional with provided Toshiba DVD. Update Windows with Windows Update. After 3 days, laptop turns off suddenly, and because Windows does not start, it in fact does not start.
When I press the power button / stop, it turns on, shows "Toshiba Leading Innovation" logo image option and "2", "press 12...", and it hangs and stops.
I tried pressing F2 and F12, nothing happened.I can not access the boot menu.
I put the Toshiba Recovery CD, the hard drive does not work. Recovery disk does not start, despite earlier I remember put boot CD/DVD at the forefront in the Boot Options to Boot Menu.
I checked everything, power cable, took the battery in and replace after 3 hours, tried to turn on the portable power, without battery cable. Did not help.
Don't know what to do?
Your help is very appreciated.
Hello Fiona
If you are unable to enter the BIOS (F2) at startup settings there must be some serious hardware problem.
I recommend to contact your local dealer where you bought this laptop and ask for help, or you can contact Toshiba service provider directly.What you have tried to do is good but if laptop doesn t allow you to enter parameters of the BIOS something wrong here, and you need professional help.

Remove the HARD drive and connect it to the PC and others as external one. I hope that you will have access to all the data there.
Sorry, but if the laptop doesn't start in safe mode I see this as last option. -

Windows does not load after update
I just installed windows vista on my calculation, after that I return it. I had to reinstall windows and every time I do the windows update it restarts and when it turns back all that I get is a black screen with nothing load on this subject?
Restore point:
Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.
It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
