Won't start, error message empty

I bought, installed and started using Dreamweaver 8 on my Mac OS x 10.4.7. I exit the application. When I tried to open subsequently, it won't start and the error message is empty (other than the! sign and the "ok" button). I can't find anything in the knowledge base supprt data for help. I do not want to reinstall because then I will use my second and final installation.

In my opinion, the HARD drive is certainly the reason why the laptop tries to boot from LAN.
Yes, the laptop computer tries to boot from LAN and, therefore, the error message (PXE - E61: media test failure, check cable) is displayed.

I think that a HARD drive replacement and the new installation of the OS will help you solve this problem.

  • Qosmio G20 - won't start, error ATA #1

I have a G20-102. Today I opened my flash drive and files all showed them as shortcuts. I tried to connect to Firefox 4 and a warning from AVG threat came pointing to C:\windows\system32\mssrv32.exe (Tr/Crypt.xpack.Gen3) as a Protection of identity. I opted for the "Move to vault" option and asked to restart

Now my pc won't start - I get the Qosmio screen, ATA error #1 (CD player has been removed) and then the screen "rolls" - looks like random pixels flashing on the screen. I'm trying to start safe mode, but F5, F8 or any Fkey is not doing

To make things worse, the CD rom has been removed, faulty, so I can't boot from another device. I don't have a USb in the BIOS, only FDD option which I did not

To me, it looks like a serious hardware malfunction

You could try to load the default settings in the BIOS. Enter in the BIOS, and then press the F9 key to load defaults. Then save & exit the BIOS and try to start again.

The HARD drive is recognized correctly in the BIOS? If so I try a recovery disk Toshiba recovery installation and check if the problem is hardware or software partners.

  • TC - 705 crashed. does not start. error message

My sucks TC-705 crashed.  It does not start.  error message saying lack driver DVD player.  At the beginning I was not too worried because my recovery is on a USB key.  He went through the installation process, but the re-boot did it again.  Endless loop.  I tried all repair options without success.  I went to the command prompt and run the scan and repair.  Scanned very well, she could not make the repairs.  If nothing worked the hard drive may be damaged, said a source online.  I put a new disc in, but there was no improvement.

Where should I go from here?

    Ironfly,

I downloaded vanilla but after I extracted it I could not make heads or tails of it.  The Readme went on and on the forums running with it but not said me something about how to launch it.  I have a question on how to launch online, but the first statement, I had was to open my WOW file.  I knew then that I had wandered in some elses universe.  After reading more later, I realized that he was playing.

All of this is moot right now because my DVD drive and all my usb ports are dead.  There is nowhere where ever I go except in the bios.

At this point, I don't think that there is nothing I can do.  The computer is still under warranty and I have a one year protection plan so I'll let Newegg and Acer deal with reclamation.

I wish I could give you a hundred Bravo for all your efforts.  Thank you and all those who participated.

  • Stop before you start error message

    Hi, I had

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL stop: 0x0000000A (0xFFFFFFFF 0 x 00000000 0x804DC4D2)

When starting my computer, then next time I just used ' use last settings that worked ", im studying to become a technician A + if im curious on how to completely solve this problem

    Hello

    Stop 0x0000000A or IRQL_not_LESS_OR_EQUAL:
The Stop 0xA message indicates that a kernel-mode process or driver tried to access a memory location to which it did not have permission, or at a level of IRQ of the kernel (IRQL) that was too high. A kernel-mode process can access only other processes with a lower IRQL level or equal to his own. ThisStop message is usually caused by a defective or incompatible or software material.

    Possible resolutions:
A Stop 0xA message may occur after the installation of the faulty device driver or system service, firmware. If aStop message lists a driver by name, disable, remove, or roll back the driver to correct the problem. If disabling or removing the drivers solves problems, contact the manufacturer about a possible update. Update of the software is especially important for multimedia applications, antivirus, and CD mastering tools scanners.

A Stop 0xA message might also be due to failing or defective hardware. If aStop message falls into a category of devices (video adapters or disk, for example), try removing or replacing the hardware to determine if it is the cause of the problem.

I suggest to return the article mentioned below and follow the steps mentioned below.

    Hi Diane,

Thanks for posting this question in the Microsoft Community.

    1. have you updated to Service Pack 2 installed?

    2. when exactly you get this error?

    Follow these methods.

    Method 1.

Start the computer in safe mode and run a full scan of computer viruses.

Start your computer in safe mode: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-SG/windows-vista/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Run a full scan of the computer with the Microsoft Safety Scanner to make sure that the computer is virus-free.

  • ScanJet 4070 - (col8356.exe) won't start - error 1603

I have a Scanjet 4400c for almost ten years (and it still works fine ), but recently I found one working Scanjet 4070 to a goodwill store and want to know if the thing (the College of physicians in particular).  Its connections are being the same, so all I have to do is swap to run the software/driver install... and that is the problem.

I downloaded the software package (HP Image Zone 4.1, filename col8356.exe) and unpacked but nothing else - the installation program (setup.exe) is not running.  I tracked down the directory of decompression and tried again, but still, setup.exe does not.  (Process Explorer check that the installation process was started, but stop unexpectedly.)

I am not shown error messages any.

I downloaded the fix for the HP products that get an error during installation (Jan. 2006), and while the update ran properly, Setup still does not work.

I am of the ideas for the time currently, but eager to keep trying.  Any thoughts?

Solved!  Search the error text "we couldn't understand a language to use" gave this topic which describes the exact same symptoms and isolate a cause - apparently it is caused by something blocking the process of configuration to correctly access its autorun.inf, and it can be solved in a relatively simple tweak to the system (HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\IniFileMapping) associated with autorun registry key.

Of note is that after changing the registry that I had to reboot the system before installing HP would install (but the installation went without a hitch).

Also of note is that I had to apply the installation patch (col9464.exe) first until HP setup would even provide a logfile of output at all.

Now I can start to really test this scanner...

    Hi Dolores,

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Communities.

I understand that you cannot start Windows after you install an update. Let me try and help you with this question.

    1. What is the brand and model of the PC?

    2. what solution did you tried to use the Windows key + R?

    3. how many user accounts are defined on this computer?

    4. is this a child account?  The thread is in the parental controls category.

    5. I understand that you have not set a password for this account, but requires you to enter a password when you're on the logon screen?

Check if you are able to start safe mode.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=Windows-7

If you are able to start safe mode, and then try to perform a System Restore from there.

If you are not able to start safe mode, then I suggest you go to the Windows recovery environment and perform a system restore.

  • Start error message "Run DLL there was a problem starting C:\users\Maureen\AppData\Local\Temp\ the specified module could not be found."

Original title: run DLL error message

When I start my computer, this error message box appears: run a DLL there was a problem starting C:\users\Maureen\AppData\Local\Temp\ the specified module could not be found.  I tried to run malware byte scan Antivirus scans, security analysis of microsoft, microsoft's malicious software removal tool, scan, prevx, and nothing was found.  I'm not very well informed about computers, but this error box is annoying and I would like to quit smoking.  Thanks for your help.

    Hello MaureenCYB,

    Thank you for the question!

I'm sorry to know that have problems you with the startup message. As I understand it, you get an error message "Run DLL there was a problem starting C:\users\Maureen\AppData\Local\Temp\ the specified module could not be found" when starting.

I need to ask you a question to help you best.

Were there any changes (hardware or software) to the computer before the show?

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: follow step 3 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

Answer to us if you are having problems with error starting or any other issue of Windows, and I'd be happy to help you again and try to correct the problem as soon as possible.

    Good day!

    Hope this information helps.

I removed the Kodak Gallery program, but since then, at startup, I get an error message:

Try this program. It's good enough to get rid of leftover pieces of programs.

If this does not help, you can always watch this program for exactly what is running at startup and disable the offending application.

Had problems on OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 with Lightroom CC 2015.2 suspended several times so followed the advice on the forums:

    - uncheck "Show"Add Photos"screen" "

After awhile the same day LR would always hang and now totally crash at startup with no error messages or anything like that. Tracking guides:

-Sign out, then back in CC

-Deleted preferences of Lightroom with Option + shift while clicking on the application icon

-Preferences from LR deleted via Finder

Has not set, LR has not yet started. Decided to downgrade following guide how roll back to Lightroom 6.1.1 or CC 2015.1 | Lightroom training Laura shoe, tutorials and tips from:

    -Uninstalled CC 2015.2

    -Reinstalled old CC 2015

Does not solve the problem. Lightroom said: "an error occurred when attempting to change modules." and the catalogue has not loaded. Then followed guides:

-Creation of a new user account and trying to open Lightroom it

Does not work, did not start there either, same error message. Decided to try to uninstall and reinstall the old CC 2015 once again, this time turn off the computer laptop inbetween:

    -Uninstalled old CC 2015

    -Disconnect from CC

    -Restarted MacBook Pro

    -Connect to CC

    -Installed new old CC 2015
