BlackBerry Blackberry Smartphones - e-mail configuration issue

My Blackberry has stopped working and has been replaced by T-Mobile (warranty), I backed up the old one before taking it back and am now trying to get my email etc working again... I'm lost - I have connected the new device and synced it but now all I have in the Inbox are weeks messages and new messages does not - someone can help? I know this is probably simple, I'm just afraid of missing something. Thank you.

Here's something that won't spoil things: from your phone's browser, type www.blackberry.com/integrate . Once you've done that, make sure that you save your phone with the network.

I hope that helps you.

I know how to set up email on my phone accounts. I did several times in the past. This time, the problem started with me not to receive emails from one of my accounts. I thought that there was a problem with the account, so I removed it. I tried since then to put up again without success.

But here's the kicker. I am in a position, on the same phone, configure other accounts such as gmail or anything.com. They work perfectly. But if I try to configure my .me or .us domain accounts, I can not. What type of problem can prevent some areas installation on Blackberry? It just give this message on the email address or the incorrect password and domain contact host.

Not the carrier allow the site to function with their network... Unfortunately, yours seems to him does not. The Setup Wizard, when alone, try to query the server (based on the email/password address you provide) for the settings required to configure... but not all services respond properly, which can lead to a failure as you describe. In this case, the advanced configuration method (where you go around the Wizard) can help. Reference:

What you need to do is make it fail on the wizard once... usually by providing a valid email address but an invalid password intentionally. The screen should repaint, but with an additional for something as checkbox "I will give you parameters manually. Check this and move forward, and you will be presented with screens fully set up all the necessary parameters (names of servers, port numbers, etc.). Of course, you must first obtain the necessary adjustments... either from the email provider, by looking at the settings on a different device that has this exact account fully configured, or by using the EAVT:

Alternatively, you can contact your carrier (Sprint, according to your profile here) because they manage your BIS account for you and may be able to succeed where others fail. And, if they fail, only they can officially climb your case up to BlackBerry for further examination.

  • Question of blackBerry Smartphones on the configuration of the e-mail

    Hey, new Member here.

My old Blackberry 8830 broke and I got a new. I am trying to set up my e-mail account again, but the only option in the e-mail configuration page is to set up the email to work with the company's server, and just trying to set up a personal gmail account. I don't remember having this problem the first time I put my email.

    Any help is appreciated.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones E-mails from gmail is not on Blackberry

Because I had problems with my other email account, I recently "moved" my correspondence email business to my gmail account, I had rather used as a backup before. I had both my accounts put in place on my blackberry and I remember them both increased and works well, but I cannot say with certainty that I have rarely received emails on gmail.

The problems I have now (I had also, at the same time re - configure my blackberry, but everything should be ok now) is that the gmail account is not working properly after the installation. At first, it seemed to work pretty well, but now it's extremely erratic, at best, with a few emails that crosses and their reception by the blackberry, not at all and if yes with a delay of up to a few days (!).
This makes the combination of my now main mail to gmail account and my blackberry on which I rely heavily for communication when I'm out of the House completely unusable.

I have heard and read (even if for the most part in internet posts that are a few years old) it seems to be a problem running with gmail and blackberry accounts. Is - this irreparable?

    Is there a solution?

If all else fails, use a new account (new) would be the only alternative left - which would be a messaging provider that matches 100% with the blackberry e-mail program?

    Thank you very much!

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts.

In addition, with GMail, you must be sure to have a good setting inside GMail. Via PC/browser, you control what GMail is facing the internet for your account (POP, IMAP, or both). I always recommend that you turn OFF POP and turn on IMAP in Gmail. Then set up fresh for your BB and you will have the 'best' available (IMHO) settings for GMail.

Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support. What you describe certainly shouldn't happen on a regular basis (even if we must all accept the intermittent nature of everything on the internet).

    Good luck!

Hi and welcome to the forums.

first to change ar add email accounts, you must go to the home screen and select the installation folder, u must find the icon of configuration of the e-mail that allows you to edit, delete or add emails

(if you don't see the e-mail configuration icon then you don't have a data plan and you need to call your provider and activate a plan of "blackberry internet service".)

and on receipt of files via bluetooth to the phone smart BlackBerry does not appear on other devices unless u manually select "receive via bluetooth' could be done from the icon 'media' on your home screen click on support and then use the blackberry key and select"receive via bluetooth ".

about browser you can use the wap browser that costs, when you set up a wifi connection, you need to manually switch the browser 'hotspot', that could result from the inside of the browser application by pressing the blackberry button, then selecting options, and then click the browser then your browser you will find 3 browsers wap browser that costs , the internet browser which is based on a data plan and the browser of access point which is your target if your wifi on.

in the application you have trouble with I've never heard of him or used so I'm sorry but I can't do u advice on something, unless I have an experience with.

    hope that helps.

I can do to fix all these technical stuff... im convinced this isn't the physical phone that is damaged. your help will be very appreciated. thanx

Hello and welcome to the community!

Given what you describe, I think that is better to a clean OS reload. The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

You may also use these tips:

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones have I configured it correctly?

    Blackberry Curve 8900.  platform v4.6.1.199 4.2.0.102

Got the new blackberry in the mail yesterday.  My IT Department companies sent me a password for the BES.  I installed the software and connected the usb cable for the blackberry and low and here is the whole thing is installed automatically.  I had to give a password (not the one of HIM) and help generate keys by moving the mouse around.  It works fine now.  Emails come on my device and are sent from my camera if the PC is turned on or not.

Where is the problem?  Well, I did not follow the instructions from HIM and I do not enter the word of TI provided in the device.  Is this to say that I have had set up all this trouble?  Am I missing some features I would have other wise?

Well, being dubious, I tried to wipe the device that worked.  Then I tried activating enterprise server and enter the password provided and following their instructions.  However it did not work - don't know why.  So I plugged back it it on the desktop and it was erect again.

I see several references to the "Desktop" in various settings and status screens.  The device works without the PC market which is confusing, as the instructions say that it should not be if you use redirection Office which I guess I am.

I have a problem?  Any help would be appreciated.

    concerning

    Peter

You can turn on the BES in two ways.

You can connect to Desktop Manager that is installed through "work email" and connected to your e-mail account.  Once it starts, you can disconnect and it will be completed wireless as well.

    OR

You can use wireless activation by using the password that your HE gave you.

One is fine.  The first is how to turn on after an upgrade of the OS.  And now with OS 5.0 I don't even have to use DM EA starts automatically after the upgrade, even if DM does not.

The password that your COMPUTER set up is only good for a period of time they determine when they put for you.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not configure e-mail, the option is not available

    Hello

I just bought a new BB9790 and replace the sim card from my old BB9300 inside.

I still have the same provider, vodafone, so everything should work, but it doesn't.

I can't select the option to set up my e-mail account.

After discussing 5 times with vodafone yesterday they me told to contact Blackberry because it's not their problem, everything is configured correctly on their side.

I've tinkered a bit more and discovered that when I take out the sim card, reset the phone, I am able to select the mail account to set up a business account. don't have one so it does not work.

But as soon as I put in my sim card, I can not select the e-mail account.

I connected my BlackBerry ID and tried everything I could find on the internet, but it still does not work.

sending the phone back and get another probably won't solve the problem because it looks like a software issue or registration.

Who has a solution for this?

    Thank you, Monika

    Orange/EE addresses these issues.
You just have not found the right person yet.

Therefore, your BIS account is active. Now you need the service books to allow the configuration of personal messaging. EA can push those for you. Or, you can set up the account yourself at this link

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Bold 9900 email configuration issues

When I access the configuration application and e-mail accounts and select I get instructions to "activate your business account and enter the details provided by your system administrator." Looking at the information on the internet it seems I should get another option: "Internet mail account", but that option appears. I recently bought this phone and I have never set up a company account. Now I can't access my email via my phone. Any ideas?

Before you get too deep into what, please call your operator and confirm that you have the blackberry internet service added to your account.  Without this service, you will not be able to email personal to be installed on this phone.  Don't know what else to say on they mention, but you must have BIS added to your account in order to setup email.  Even when a wifi connection.

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to configure and use e-mail without BES

    Hello

I'm trying to figure How to configure and use e-mail without using a BES.

I checked with the local telephone company. And the number is not ascociated with any service of BES.

The entry of services show no indication in this sense.

In addition, the configuration of SIM card show that everything is disabled. This means that the phone is unlocked. At least that is my understanding.

However, even after a wipe, the BB device does not set up an e-mail account, as described in the manual. He keeps asking for a BES activation first.

    What will do that disappears?

And to allow the configuration of the "spam"?

Just develop the right answer given by JSanders, you can always access your email accounts and social networks (facebook, twitter, google +, etc) on your phone, you will just have no notifications PUSHED to your phone.  You can access the internet on your phone in order to access these accounts, but it should go to them.  With BlackBerry Internet Service activated on your phone account, RIM will push these notifications of new emails, facebook messages, new tweets etc. for your phone.  That's what you'll be missing out on without active BIS.

I wanted to just make sure that there is no likelihood of confusion.

  • Problem blackBerry Smartphones with the configuration of the internet and the mail (from France)

    Hey x)

I just got my Blackberry yesterday (I'm of the France) with Universal Mobile - Bouygues Telecome, package blocked for BlackBerry.

In this "package", I have SMS/mms, internet and unlimited emails.

But I can't go to the internet, its does not work and when I'm trying to configure the email option in "advanced option", I don't have any kind of confirmation message.

I tried the site but I got this error message:

    "Failed to create the account:

Please register for this device and make sure that the URL of the web site current corresponds to

    To register:

    1. in the list of applications on your device, click on Options, or click Advanced Options.

    2. click on Advanced Options > host Routing Table.

    3. click on the Menu button, then click on register now.

If the error persists, contact your wireless service provider. »

And so, as I said, I've done this manipulation, but I don't have a confirmation when I put "host routing table.

And in the configuration of the e-mail, I have just the professional thing.

    Can you help me please?
