C4480 print jobs to join the print queue

When I try to print something on my imac g5 running osx 10.4 window shows which print jobs and the question that I want to print not to join the queue. I reinstalled the software and drivers and still nothing, I'm outta ideas.

OK, the printer is connected directly to your Mac (and not via a USB hub)?  Try a direct connection or another USB cable.

  • 4508 ENVY: ENVY 4508 firefox launched the print job hangs in the print queue

    Hello

We have a desire 4508 connected via wifi to a laptop 10 (x 64) Windows.

We downloaded and installed the latest drivers available on HP and printers generally LibreOffice, WordPad or Firefox (normal web pages).

But there is a situation when printing fails and we do not know why: If we try to print accounting information for the bank account, the print job is displayed in the windows printer queue but it stucks and blocks the other print jobs. The only way to get the printer to work is once again the restarting the printer spool service and removal of the print job in the queue (which sounds easier than it is actually...).

We already ran this 'Doctor Print' application provided by HP, but it helps not at all.

    Is this a known issue?

Is it related to the driver or more likely a problem of the web page in question / feel?

How can I get more information about what exactly is going wrong?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    Try the following.

From the desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run window, type services.msc and press to enter.  Scroll down to the print spooler service, right click and select Properties, then click the Stop button.  Now search for C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS, then delete the work inside this folder - you may need to click a command prompt to get the authority to open the PRINTERS folder.

Restart the computer and you should find that the document has been deleted.

  • HP Envy 4500: Print jobs disappear from the print queue and not print (Windows 7).

I just bought a HP Envy 4500 printer,

When you attempt to print from a PC with windows 7 OS home pro (64-bit), the print job appears in the queue and then disappears, but the printer does not print anything.

Everything else seems to work very well know

    • The printer prints the internal test page
    • The printer does print when you use iPad2
    • The printer does print when you use ePrint
    • The PC recognizes and communicates with the printer (tried with USB connections and wireless)
    • Analysis feature works very well - when initiated from the PC and printer

    I tried

    • uninstalling and reinstalling the software (several times using software from different sources)
    • restart the printer queue service
    • Disabling the firewall
    • running printing HP and doctor Scan
    • following the instructions described here (the question is the same but the different operating system):

Print jobs disappear from the print queue and print (Windows 8)

    • combinations of all of the above

Absolutely no joy in any of them, and in spite of more than 2 hours of research on Google and forums search I can't find a solution.

HP... can you give me a solution or is that goes back to the shop?

Well I finally worked on the fix myself by trial and error.  I changed the security settings for 'All' and 'Creator owner' to 'Print' and "Administer Documents".  Why on earth they were not automatically allowed as part of the installation, I couldn't really say.

Hope this helps someone else with a similar problem.

  • HP 8500 of print jobs stuck in the queue, diagnostic control OK

HP 8500 A909g connected by USB cable to the Windows 7 desktop. Everything was going well until Verizon gave me a new DSL modem/router after which all print jobs are stuck in the print queue. Printing/scanning doctor told me "printer not connected to the homegroup. Nothing I've tried fixed. Downloaded the recent HP patch for network HP printers in Win7. Complete with a mistake any but installed at the next computer startup and scanning and printing has worked very well. Since then, the print jobs again get hit in the print queue and scanner does not work. Has made clear the queue, stop/start the spooler and the computer restarted. Still no printing or scanning. Print/ASNA doctor says everything is OK. Upgrades of the pilot research suggests that I already have the best driver. Printer is checked OK in the control/material Panel, is checked by default, port is OK etc etc. Before uninstall/reinstall the printer with no guarantee that will solve this problem, can someone tell me what could be wrong and how to fix it? Please help as this is really frustrating. Thanks in advance.

    Hi katt6,

I read your message which indicates that you receive a message "is a print job in the print queue prevents other printing of print." Please provide the detailed steps that you have already tried. I can help you.

Try and print a self-test on the printer hardware to see if it is a hardware or software problem.

    Printing a Network Setup Page.

Run the difficulty it Microsoft tool to see if this will help.

Diagnose and automatically fix problems printing and printer.

If the problem persists, continue with the steps below:

I have provided a document of empty folder of spooling print to see if she will help solve this problem.

How to clear the current queue in Windows Vista & Windows 7.

    Try to print again.

Printer is on a network as follows:

If you still have problems, and that the printer is on the network, check the Configuration Page to see if you have a valid IP address.

If you have a valid IP address for the printer, then try and access the Web built-in to the printer server.
Type the IP address in the address bar of your web browser. (Internet Explorer)

Check the IP address on the computer to verify that it matches the IP address of the printer.
Go to start, devices and printers, right click on the printer, go to the properties of the printer, some ports tab, click on configure port.
If they don't match then close the Configure Port window and click on create a port and follow the instructions in the wizard.
  • OfficeJet 4500 510n - print jobs stuck in the queue when using wireless

    Hello

I bought just a new Officejet 4500 510n yesterday and I have a Dell with Windows 7 64 bit laptop that I connect to the USB or wireless. The reason for this is that sometimes, the laptop is not right next to the printer and we need to print things (for example, my wife works upstairs sometimes with the laptop and the printer is downstairs in the living room). I was able to get the configuration of the printer on both the wireless and USB without any major problems and it prints fine when I print via USB. However, when I print wireless, the print job appears in the queue and shows that it is printing, but he never curls work all the way. The work gets "stuck" while waiting in line, for example, it gets stuck at 772 bytes of 940 bytes

I downloaded the HP Print Diagnostic here tool and ran it and and it passed all the tests first time. However, when I goto the last test, which is to print the test page, it sends the print job to the queue and then everything gets stuck as indicated above. I was able to cancel the job and it comes off very well, but restarting the work does not work, it just get stuck again. Meanwhile, I don't get ANY error messages at all.

Here's what I've done regarding troubleshooting:

    -Ping the printer - spent

-Restart the service print spooler - no change to the problem

-Check that the printer is set as deafult - spent

-Update of HP Ran to ensure there is no missing updates - found 2 updates and install them

None of the above has solved the problem, so I'mm this ad here in the hope that someone may have had this problem before and fixed it.

    Thank you!

    Thanks for the reply.

It turns out that I could solve it myself. I went to add the printer wireless on another laptop, I have here on my home network and it printed a page of test very well, so I thought it must have been a bad installation on the main laptop.  I removed everything and reinstalled as a wireless printer, and it worked perfectly. Amazing what can make a bad installation.

  • Print job stuck in the queue?

    Hello

I do a quick document showing you how to clear the print queue, if you ever have a paper stuck in the "printing" mode and does never print or finish the job.

A print spooler is software that temporarily stores the disk printing hard or in memory until the printer is ready to print. If you were expecting an abnormally long time to print a document, or if you see an error message about the print spooler, Spooler subsystem or spooler resources, you might need to change and then restart the print spooler service on your computer.

To do this, we recommend that you save your work and restart the computer to restart the print spooler service. If you do not want to restart the computer, try these steps instead
