• Problem when launching an application in the Simulator with Eclipse

  When I try to launch my app in the Simulator in Eclipse, I get the following error:

  An internal error occurred during: "Android-my-app launch"

  I guess there is something my manifesto, but my app works fine on the Simulator Android and the market and the actual hardware. Also, I could check my apk online and everything was fine. Is there something that I am missing?

  I solved this problem by installing beta Plugin for Eclipse version BB.

• by using the Simulator on Eclipse

  I have been using eclipse for the coding and packaging, this is a nice tool.  -for debugging, I used the Blackberry JDE. Currently running the Simulator in the BB JDE is not complicated but when multiple API versions has to be tested as well as having a production version and a version of development running the number of workspaces increases. I therefore decided to take a go at the Simulator in Eclipse. After an hour I had it almost working but finally ends and "Device error - Blackberry Smartphone Simulator", "the catastrophic Assertion failure". If the BB JDE Simulator is "screwdriver", the eclipse is a double "Swiss Army Knife". So many settings and not a lot of explanation (that I found). Is there a 'manual' on the use of the Simulator on Eclipse somewhere?

  For example. In the BB JDE, I put a flag on a module is a module system, and must be loaded initially. Not found in Eclipse. There are a lot of other parameters. I want just a basic configuration which works like the BB JDE. The main application is a Midlet and my modules are still running listeners

  It is a mistake of the BlackBerry smartphone itself Simulator (Windows application), not simulated applications.

  Please, try the following:

  1. Click the Project menu in Eclipse.
  2. Choose BlackBerry-> own Simulator...
  3. Select all, and then click OK.

  This will reset all the BlackBerry smartphone simulators to their default state.  Now repackage and run your application again.

  I searched many hours today in the internet and your forums, but it seems that this problem is not solved yet:

  No writable calendars are configured for the invitations with the provider for Google Calendar.

  My Thunderbird is 38.3.0 and the provider for Google Calendar 1.0.4.

  I put calendar.google.enableEmailInvitations; true but it did not help. I also tried [email protected]... @googlemail.com. Calendar works fine, it syncs, I see all the entries etc. But I can't accept invitations even IF she must have write access.

  What can I do? Is there a solution for this?

  Use CalDAV here to access Google Calendar via lightning. I have no experience with the add-on of the provider.
  In any case, it is my understanding that you must assign an e-mail address to a calendar in order to be able to accept the invitations for this calendar. I see that in your screenshot.
  You can try to remove the Google calendar in lightning and re-create it. Given that all the data is on the server nothing will get lost.
  Or you may want to try CalDAV.

• Socket connection in the Simulator with MDS, but not on the curve

  Working on an application using socket connections.

  Proceed to use a DataInputStream and DataOutputStream to communicate.

  The server works, can transmit very well with the Simulator, but also another curve (not same model). (There is a small chance that deviceside = true has not been passed as a parameter when we tested on the curve, which would go through BES? This is probably still there however).

  IMHO, this means the places that the question could be one) how the code is implemented on the client phone or b) phones or their settings (have 4 curve 8530 s on the same CDMA network).

  -These phones have already activated in the last days, is there the chances that something is missing from the service book to allow socket connections? (I doubt that what I downloaded messenger ping I assume uses taken... and everything is fine).

  No authorization application that I put?

  To all those who might find this thread after encountering the same problem:

  The issue was with the DataInputStream... available() was ALWAYS return zero, even if there are more bytes to read. This is our 8530 s curve 4 tests phones. Tried on another curve and "BOLD" and they did not have this problem.

  Use available() stopped and tried reading for much bigger than one of our packages will be (5000 bytes).

  Have some phones to test with 5.0.0.337 that they would not work with that.

  After the 5.0.0.1000 they all work perfectly.

  I read somewhere that the available() issue has to do with J2SE-> J2ME problems, something on a wrapper. This problem exists (or existed) with TSL/SSL apparently (sorry I can't find the thread I get this info, if someone really wants to see him answer and I'll get the link in the history of my browser of laptops).

  However, he talks about debugging, and I get not even package the project.

  It seems that he tries to import into a Pack 6.0 and 5.0.  I specified my TERM as 5.0 when creating projects.  Is there a way to force it to use only 5.0?  I could not find anywhere in the project properties.

• Cannot close the Simulator under Eclipse Plug In

  Just migrated my JDE application plugin Eclipse environment.  App compiles fine and works fine.  However, when I run the Simulator under I can never get the Simulator to close.  I actually kill Eclipse to stop the Simulator.

  It's because you run it on a 64-bit Windows 7. This problem has been resolved in an updated version. I don't know if it fixes each Simulator, but it seems to have fixed the OS 5 Simulator.

  If you have the site set up (http://www.blackberry.com/go/eclipseUpdate/3.5/java) update, check 'hide elements that are already installed.

  Update "BlackBerry Java Plugin". To date, the most recent is marked 16/04/2010.

  If possible, I'd like to see that a TCP connection attempt (e.g. http://www.google.com) in the ASDM logging of the VPN Client when you set up the dynamic NAT for the VPN Pool also.

  I'll try also the command "packet - trace" on the SAA, while the VPN Client is connected to the ASA.

  The command format is

  packet-tracer intput tcp

  That should tell what the SAA for this kind of package entering its "input" interface

  Still can not see something wrong with the configuration (other than the statement of "nat" missing Dynamics PAT)

• WRT160N v3: unable to connect to the page web configuration of the router with Firefox or IE

  Whenever I try to connect to my router's admin page, I get "the connection to the server was reset while the page is loading."  This happens with FIrefox 11 and started when I upgraded to 8 or 9.  A machine running FF 3.6 does not have this problem; I get right in.  Words IE 9 is "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" (after complaining about the certificate has expired).

  I ran Wireshark to see if I could learn something, but everything that I could understand was:

  https handshake was OK.

  First TLS packet is received by the router, which then immediately issues a reset and the connection is interrupted.  I don't know why.

  Has anyone seen this? or I have a setup that is screwed to the top (or router)?

  Then I did a full-on reset. I had tried to get in the Mode of administration, following an article in the FAQ, but the web page came in normal mode, default 192.168.1.1. From there on, I WAS able to make the success of downloading the new firmware from 2010 (v3.0.03). Unfortunately, once I've reconfigured the box to a similar to the previous configuration, I have the same problem: connection to https://10.244.122.1 of Firefox 3.6 works; 12 Firefox (now), it will fail, get the error "reset while page is loading". My last try will just disable the https - I just discovered where I can - and see if it will work. Because it's only on my home network, if traffic to the configuration page is not encrypted it really doesn't matter that much. • Configuration of the network with several hosts (dVS/EtherChannel)

  Let's say that there are 4 hosts, each with 2 NETWORK adapter connected to a switch. On the side of ESX, all uplinks are added to a dVS and the port group is set to 'Route based on IP Hash'.

  Host 1 > change of ports 1 and 2

  Host 2 > change ports 3 and 4

  Host 3 > change ports 5 and 6

  Host 4 > change ports 7 and 8

  The switch (Cisco) must be configured as:

  Port channel 1: 1 to 8 Ports

  OR

  
  Port channel 1: 1 and 2 Ports

  Port channel 2: 3 and 4 Ports

  Port channel 3: Ports 5 and 6

  Port Channel 4: 7 and 8 Ports

  I have setup a data source Informix on Weblogic 10.3.6 selecting pilot weblogic informix XA. I have a BPEL that calls the adapter DB with a pure SQL query (a query is bit complicated). But his throw after exception under test:

  Exception occurred during invocation of the JCA binding: "binding JCA execute of operation 'getDetailsFromDB' failed due to the reference: DBWriteInteractionSpec Execute Failed Exception."

  unknown has failed. The descriptor name: [unknown].

  Caused by java.sql.SQLException: cannot call Connection.commit in the distributed transaction.  Transaction manager will commit the resource manager when the distributed transaction is committed...

  Check the logs for the record output full DBAdapter before this exception.  This exception is considered as reproducible, probably due to a communication failure.  To be classified as not reproducible instead, add property nonRetriableErrorCodes with the value '0' for the deployment descriptor (i.e. weblogic - RA.Xml).  "For auto retry a reproducible fault defined these properties of composite.xml for this invoke.

  I also made sure to have platformClassName as "org.eclipse.persistence.platform.database.InformixPlatform" under javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory in DbAdapter under deployment settings.

  Can anyone shed some light on what's going wrong here?

• How to change the configuration of the BIOS with NO SIGNAL - to accept the new card PCI - ex

  OS: Windows XP Media Center 05

  New graphics card: MSI N210-D512D2 graphics card GeForce 210-512 MB, DDR2, PCI-Express 2.0 (x 16), 1 x DVI, 1 x VGA, DirectX 10.1, mono-emplacement

  New: 480w PSU

  ERROR:  NO SIGNAL on monitor and can not reset the BIOS to accept the new video card in the PCI slot

  PROBLEM: The user reports the monitor suddenly became white with blue lines finally erased.   On start-up, the screen shows "No Signal" then turns off.

  Troubleshooting has included:

  Fixing monitor with its cable to another PC - monitor work

  Fixing working monitor and cable to the PC - No Signal

  There is no boot beeps, fans, lamps, not work cable defeated, no video.   I concluded the embedded video component failed.

  Installed the new video PCI - ex card and new power supply 480w and still get NO SIGNAL.   New video card specifications called for a minimum 350w power supply.  The fan on the new video card PCI - ex works.  Search on the HP Support pages indicates that the BIOS should be modified to change the type of PCI slot type in-flight video.  Makes perfect sense to me, sounds like it might work.

  How to reset the BIOS when you do not see what you are doing?

  I have moved the jumpers to reset the CMOS, but cannot tell if it worked or not.  I tried a couple blind BIOS resets, but I could do this for months.

  If I could determine the Version of the BIOS, I might be able to blindly to reset the BIOS.  The Compaq Options of Menu and "BIOS Setup Utility information" web page provides instructions for BIOS version 6 or less and version 7 and greater - menus and access steps are very different.

  QUESTIONS:   How to determine the version of the BIOS.  Which key I hit to access the BIOS (F1, F10, esc, Del)?  Which menu I followed to reset the type of video, so how can I save and exit?
