FLAG 23: UPDATE WINDOWS FROZEN a blank screen forever

8 days ago, I bought a new HP ALL in ONE COMPUTER PAVILION 23. It works well for 8 days; so on the day 9, that I notice that the Mc McAfee antivirus will be overtaken in a motnh. Then I bought the Mc McAfee offer for one year and acticated online. Then in the menu bar on the bottom right, I noticed a flag. When clicked, he sent us in the Panel showing that Windows Security Center is turn off. Then click the right botom "TURN ON", a warning pop in reading 'windows Security Center CANNOT OPEN'; then I go back in the Panel and press troubleshooting. After a short time, I get a result message saying "disorder is due to windows Update. Then I try to shut down the computer, I see next to "UPDATE AND RESTART" message. If after clicking UPDATE AND RESTART the white green of trun screen, display the window 'windows update and circle revolved. I wait 30 minutes and then, a second message said "Windows cannot update and we revert the change please do not turn off the computer" (something like that). The update of Windows would not be completed (he was doing the updates and I don't know if it's over, but he had was a white and green screen with the circle of rotation on the side) so I had to manually power it off. I reopened it after and always the same green color empty with the same message appeard and circle still spining. He was frozen in this window until deciding to simply manually close the pc. In my desparation to get my pc back. I open the pc manual and press the F2 key to start a TEST of the comprehensive SYSTEM. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!

    Hello

After updating Windows 10 (threshold/1115) one of our Z30 - A sometimes wakes up after hibernation with the screen off. The only solution is to turn it off by holding the power and then turning it back on, button which is obviously annoying because open files may be lost or corrupted. The other Z30 - A that you don't show the behavior of sound.

Someone at - it ideas? I would really appreciate the pointers.

    Thank you very much!

    Kind regards!

    Sounds like a driver problem.

go to control panel and uninstall different drivers (sound, display, wireless, etc.), then let Windows update install the latest versions.

  • Unrecoverable blank screen after Windows 10 update - Inspiron N50500

Inspiron N5050, launched in January 2013.

Updated recently for Windows 10 without incident. The laptop worked well for several weeks. It is only after the updates started coming my problems began.

After each of the first two updates and customary restarts, the screen would go blank. There he remained for two or three days until that for some unknown reason, the office became visible again. Basically, all I did was start it, leave it on for a few hours and restart again. I repeated this process over and over again for a few days. I also consulted a number of forums online Meanwhile, tried some of the suggestions offered without result. Basically, everything seemed to go down to this boot, wait, re - start process again. This makes little sense to me, but something caused the screen become operational. .. There are nearly ten days until this last update.

As you can imagine, when Windows told me that the next update would be applied at the next restart, I saw it with concern and discontent. And this time it didn't come back.

With the exception of the white screen, the computer seems completely functional. The screen is not completely black, but appears to be backlit. There is a noticeable glow emanating from it. I am able to enter my password at the right time and he will finish the boot process.  I can't see anything on the screen.

Today, I inserted the recovery disc I made when I turned on the computer the first time only whether end with the following runtime error:

    "Program: X:\windows\system32\RESTORE7.exe.
This application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way. For more information, contact the application support team"

    Restore7.exe Application error
The exception unknown software exception (0 x 40000015) occurred in the application at location 0x4011398e
Click OK to terminate the program

Usually, I try to do all the right things, but it is doubtful that Microsoft or Dell will have any interest in solving my little dinky problem. So, I hope some of you can offer some suggestions. I'm pretty dead on the water and ideas.

douglasgrubbs, I hope you can see, because it seems that I might have found a solution.

I found an old monitor in the confines of my attic, hooked up to the laptop and booted up. Alto! I had a visible desktop. After a time, a message popped up indicating the need for a reboot. Not a cold, hard starting. A REBOOT! There are 10 Windows updates that should be installed, and they could only be installed on a restart. (This is the part I'm missing because I couldn't see it on a blank screen).

I clicked on "Restart now" on the message and let it go. (It took a bit of time to install updates)

Douglas, if you see, find and connect an external monitor and all updates waiting for you. This has been the problem all along.

  • After the last update on Wnidows 7 Firefox opens just a blank screen (black).

After the last update Firefox on a machine Wnidows 7, Firefox opens just a blank screen (black). It worked fine until the latest update. It does not open in "safe" mode I tried several facilities clean and using various other compatibility settings. I also tried various changes of display. Closing X is still under the black forest as I can by conjecture activate this.

Get a black screen after updating to Firefox 33 can be caused by a problem with hardware acceleration in Firefox.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver.

Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the shift/Options key.

    Disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

I ordered the Dell XP disc and did the re-install. It works fine now. The Dell technical support had me do some updates on the web as well. I have not had problems since. What happened with the automatic updates completely wiped out my operating system. At least I don't have to buy a new computer.

If nothing else works, try reinstalling your operating system. It worked for me.

    Bug Check 0 x 24: NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM

This indicates there was a problem in ntfs.sys , the driver file that allows the system to read and write on NTFS drives.

    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff557433%28VS.85%29.aspx

    Cause

One possible cause of this bug check is damaged drive. Corruption in the system of NTFS file or defective (sectors) on the hard disk can cause this error. Corrupted drivers SCSI and IDE may also compromise the ability to read and write to the disk system, so causing the error.

    Resolution

To solve a problem of hard drive corruption: Check Event Viewer for error of SCSI and FASTFAT (syslog) messages or Autochk (the application log) that might help determine the device or driver that generated the error. Try disabling any antivirus software or Disk Defragmenter tools that continually monitor the system. You must also run the diagnostics of material provided by the manufacturer of the system.  RunChkdsk /f /r to detect and resolve any file system structural corruption. You must reboot the system before the start of the analysis of disk on a system partition.

Please, start Windows Explorer and navigate to the C:\Windows\Minidump folder. Then, copy the files to your desktop, zip dmp dmp all in 1 zip file and download the zipfile to your Skydrive [1] and post a link here, so that I can watch the discharges with the debugger and to see the cause of the accident.

    Hi AndyCantore,

    Follow these steps:

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Step 2: If the problem does not persist in safe mode, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

I also tried to run in safe mode and safe mode with networking mode, but it has not loaded yet even to the windows splash screen. I ran Startup Repair 3 times now and he has not yet fixed my problem. Probably yes it is damaged in the case otherwise he would start.

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

It would be better to post in another forum. This forum is intended for consumers about Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP.
Given that your question concerns the connection to a Windows 2003 server, it would be preferable for you to post in the forum Windows 2003.
