  My Nighthawk R8500 router with the latest firmware, V1.0.2.54_1.0.56, does not recognize my SanDisk Ultra Fit 128 GB USB 3.0 Flash drive when it is connected to the router USB 3.0 Port. The Ultra Fit is formatted in FAT32 and works fine when plugged into USB Port 2.0 router or my laptop.

Unfortunately both my laptop have USB 2.0 Ports, so I don't know if the problem is with the router or the Ultra Fit Flash Drive. Everyone knows about this problem of their Flash 3.0 player is not recognized in USB 3.0 Port their router, especially with a SanDisk Ultra Fit? This problem can be resolved through firmware? I'd really like to take full advantage of the speed of USB 3.0 as I like to share files through my router via ReadyShare and ReadyCloud.

  This is the result of not not more likely USB ports. You can try to update the drivers of usb device, but if the problem there is not a lot you can do otherwise than to buy an expansion usb card. You can disable usb error reports to stop seeing the error.

  I bought a genuine version of XP Pro 64 to load on my computer and because Win 7 froze with drivers nVidia graphics.

  USB 3.0 port 900mA feeds. The USB 2.0 port common provides 500mA.
  I think that the HARD drive needs more 500mA power in order to work properly.

  So if you want to use the HARD drive on USB 2.0 ports, I recommend you to use a USB Y cable which allows to connect the HARD drive to two USB 2.0 ports

  Personally, I would remove the U3 of the reader software because it is NOT necessary for training at work. I had to search the disk and launch a program to "delete" in the Launchpad folder on the drive. Once removed, it should work without interference from this program.
