HP 250 g4 warranty conditions

Hi I just bought a HP 250 G4 as well as an addon memory module from the provider. Upon arrival, I found he had no Panel to access the memory. I know how to access it (by removing the bottom panel) and I'm happy to do it but don't want to take the risk of voiding my warranty.

The provider says I am allowed to do and she will not void my warranty but I would like confirmation of the said of HP.

Hello

Thanks for your reply, I had trouble gettign the HP support site to recognize the laptop model so the post here.

All sorted now though it does not void the warranty as long as the laptop is not damaged in the process.

Had already been informed was the case by the supplier, but to be honest I did not believe them.

  • Satellite S50t-B008 / 00 H never worked properly - warranty issue

I m writing that, until that time, my last chance to get some help, cause everyone else rolled up useless.
I used to be a big fan of Toshiba, because I always thought that your products were first class and has never let me down.
    SO FAR.

11/15/14, I bought the D. Smith in Warringah Mall, a Satellite S50t-B008/00 H. I m, a graphic designer and I use it for work, that s how I make my living, so I decided to go with this model which was supposed to be a big piece of machinery.

After a month, he began to have problems such as the touch screen wouldn t work, she wouldn t start and it turned off by itself. This lasted several days until I decided to take it to D.Smith (31/12014) for a replacement (since I spent 1,100 AUD and any computer with just a month should do any of the things).

Of course they gave me bad excuse because we are resellers, we sell only the computer, Toshiba should take care of any problem with no intention of helping, and they just gave me a number to call.

I was a little upset at the time, but I still called the Hotline from the Toshiba Support, were a tough guy told me made me do a reset of the parameters, this work of t n and then said the only thing they could do (after two hours on the phone) to guide me through the steps on how to format it.

It didn't work either, so I called again, with the reference number, the guy gave me (I have it here if you need it).

Another guy, at least this one was a little more friendly, told me that the only thing I could do was to take the computer to a Toshiba official s technician to fix.

I asked him if he could give me just a replacement to D. Smith and he said no. (so, until one - and this time, I had spent $1,100 on a computer I have couldn t use, I was losing money and work, and nobody could help me).

01/08/15 I got the official technician computer and I was just able to pick up on Saturday (24/01/2015 a month after I started with it) and guess what, even after that, it is STILL NOT WORKING CORRECTLY.

What am I supposed to do?
I still 1,100 AUD less in my bank account and a NEW computer that I had to format and replace various parts, for nothing, cause I still can't use it.

As a consumer and a Toshiba s fan in my opinion, this is a HUGE SCAM and I feel CHEATED (not to mention mad freaking).

Just to be clear, I n t want this computer no more and, of course, I don't want any other Toshiba, cause they can really down and same person takes the trouble to give me a solution...

Meanwhile, I was faced with a lot of trouble since I can t work without computer (and I don t want to even talk about how much money I'm losing)

I tried to contact someone by phone, facebook, twiter, then you have probably heard this before, can you please help me with this problem?

I need to work, and I need a computer to do.

    Please, give me a solution!
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi cossoria

    Sorry to hear that.

It s really damage your new bought laptop is not working properly and I understand you very well its always annoying when the departure of the newly purchased device malfunction

    I guess you're the Australia.

I m not quite sure as the Australia, but in my country the consumer can return the product without assuming all responsibilities and without any reason within 14 days from the date of purchase.

The dealer is obliged to ensure the good work produced, and if the dealer is not able to provide a good working device, you should be able to return the product within the time limit.

Toshiba as a laptop to the manufacturer provides a standard 1 year limited warranty and if Notepad starts a dysfunction within the valid warranty period, the Toshiba authorized service provider would be able to repair the laptop under warranty conditions, free of charge.

What shall I say This is a user to user forum and I would recommend you to get in touch with the dealer of your laptop, as well as with Toshiba in order to clarify the issue

  • Satellite L850-Y3110 - Question about the international warranty

I bought a portable Satellite L850-Y3110 in India that has an international warranty.
There is a problem with it now, it's the cd drive is broken and I took it to an authorized to Newcastle service center.

Need the driver cd to replace, but now Im says that Toshiba usually give the cause of the part I did not but he to the United Kingdom, and the person told me to go back to the place where I bought and the fix here, I won't go there any time soon, so it's out of the option.

My question is what is the point of the international interest if it won't be such an inconvenience.

When I bought a laptop that I wanted one that would guarantee internationally because Im student out of the country for education, that's why I bought this one because it has international warranty and my laptop is still under warranty international.

    What should I do now?

    Hello

I m not very well on portable computers sold in India, but cell phones sold in Europe are covered with at least 1 year standard warranty, valid from the date of purchase
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/services/standard-warranty/

This warranty does not cover repairs in other countries, but in case of hardware malfunction, you must visit the authorized service provider in the country where you made the purchase.

To get the international warranty coverage you must buy an extended international warranty: details here http://www.toshiba.eu/services/warranty-extension/

In the case where the international interest has been registered for your laptop, the ASP to the United Kingdom should be able to repair the laptop in international warranty conditions.

  • Disk failure hard satellite L850 - claim under warranty in Sri Lanka

My brother bought me a Satellite L850 of UAE UNITED a month ago.
    But I'm in sri lanka.

The problem is now the hard drive does not start and it says to replace the hard drive.
I have the card with me.

My question is can I claim the warranty in Sri Lanka?

Please help me soon as soon as possible.
    Thank you.

    Hello

If you have not purchased the additional international interest, portable computer s hardware problems can be set only in the country where the phone was purchased.

But AFAIK that parts such as HARD drive or memory are set at the user level.
Maybe you n t need to send the laptop to UNITED Arab Emirates for a fix, but maybe the guys would be able to send you a HARD drive under warranty conditions.

Here you can get all the details on the FSA available worldwide.

    Hello

If I had to purchase an additional 2 Year Extended Warranty on my Toshiba Satellite X 200 - 20 s PC, I'd always get free service collect and return, or that I would be responsible for the costs of delivery?

No, I think that if you extend your warranty you should always get your standard warranty conditions as in the standard warranty period.

  • The standard warranty registration

    Hello

I had problems to register my netbook for the standard warranty and the site advised me to contact [email protected] to address this issue. The recording, they warned me that the purchase date is currently wrong and it can take up to a week to update.

The problem is there is a period of 7 days to register for 'No Matter What Guarantee', I can't do that before the purchase date is fixed, there are only 2 days left and [email protected] is slow to respond to my last survey.

Can someone give me advice how to proceed?

PS old purchase date means that I was sold a refurbished netbook?

    Hey,.

Information on the current warranty conditions you can check yourself on Toshiba under http://www.toshiba-tro.de/unitdetails

But don t worry not about 7 days. I mean you are already in contact with the team of warranty Toshiba and I m sure that everything will be recorded as you want and should be. ;)

  • Waterproof to the water/legal/warranty?

my name is Virgil and I recently bought a sony xperia Z2, I have a question about the warranty.

I read all the relevant documentation that came with my phone and the only information concerning the marking of the IP of the device is in the brochure 'important information' to the title of the limited warranty, condition number 3 where it says "this warranty covers any failure of the product due to:

--use in environments as appropriate in the ratings, if any, are outdated... »

My question is what this means that if the device is used within acceptable limits on relevant IP as the unit sides is covered by warranty in case of failure?

Technically if we operate the phone within acceptable limits on the ip side, then they should replace right? As it is said so OUTDATED if we do not exceed the sides were covered? I would like to know, not that im going to start diving my newly bought Z2, but snack by saying that we are faced with the rain (we all know how much it rains here in Ireland), I work as a door-to-door salesman so the main reason why I bought this phone was to the coast IP58 as I am often caught in the rain

    OK, that's my opinion

If the user isn't well close the lids and the phone is in contact with the water, it could get damaged by water and usually be covered (warranty), or if the phone has been used in contact with sea water it might not be covered is

  • Coverage service: Active

My touch screen of IPhone 5 c has stopped working and there are squares on my screen (colour of the square depends on the background). I checked my coverage information, and he said: the coverage of the Service: Active. I thought I'd do an apple store to replace/repair it. Since I was the coverage of the Service, this means that I can replace/repair it for free? I live in Canada so what counts.

Apple people will have to take a look at your device and to determine the problem and the possible solution. We are all of the other users here, so we cannot talk about what Apple can do or not do. While your warranty is still in effect, it must be covered unless the damage can be attributed to accidental abuse. Here is a link to the Canadian warranty conditions:

  • Satellite C855 - low RTC battery

Bought a brand new Satellite C855 7 months, now get a RTC battery low warning, every time I start, have to reset the date and time. The laptop battery says fully charged, but if I unplug the portable charger will turn off.

    > The laptop battery says fully charged, but if I unplug the portable charger will turn off.

This means that the main battery is empty and is probably damaged.
Empty main battery would affect the RTC battery too. So I think that you need to replace the main battery first and then the RTC battery for a longer period of time while the mobile computer is turned on.

The laptop seems to be covered by the warranty (if its 7 months) so the battery must be replaced in warranty conditions.

  • Satellite C50t-A-10J: screw loose around the hinges

Someone had problems with housing screws loosened around the hinges on a laptop via Satellite, and if so do they have suggestions for a solution?

I have a C50t-A-10J. Within 4 months from first use hinges fixing screws loose and three is out.
First of all, I noticed this separation autour hinges at startup box.
I went back to John Lewis, who arranges for a fix, but less than a week to one of the bindings loosened again.

Looking more closely this laptop I noticed that the hinges are quite steep and the flexible housing.
This looks a bit on the fragile for a laptop.

I'm now questioning whether or not it is human enough?
I would be interested to hear from anyone with similar experience.

    Thank you in advance.

    > I went to John Lewis, who arranges for a fix, but less than a week to one of the bindings loosened again
In my opinion you should go back to the dealer or should contact the Toshiba service to find solution to this problem.

I mean it is a hardware problem and before you try to fix it by using some bad motivated method, I recommend you to ask some experts to fix under warranty conditions.

  • Black screen turn on my Satellite C series

    Hi all

my laptop is around the age of 10 months. Recently, the screen seems off. Actually, what happens is that it becomes so weak, I don't see anything.

I connected to an external monitor and it displays the screen, so I guess there is no problem with the graphics card.

Is there something wrong with the inverter or backlight? The odd time that I tilt the screen of the laptop upwards or downwards, the screen will return or the odd time the screen will work again (out of the blue), but eventually fades to black again.

Any help or pointers is appreciated, thanks.

Yes, I think that there is a problem with FL inverter or the display.
But it depends on laptop model that you have purchased.
Either you have a laptop with screen backlight or without backlight. In this case, the backlight is controlled by inverter of FL.

From my point of few in both cases, replace the defective part in order to solve this problem.

The laptop is 10 months old and so the warranty should still be valid.
Don t try to solve this problem from your own hand, but get in touch of service provider authorized in your country for repair under warranty conditions.

  • Tecra S11 - 11G - external monitor flickers when the Wifi is enabled

I have a similar problem on my brand new Tecra S11 - 11G. The only difference is that the problem is present only when I have my laptop plugged in and turned on WiFi radio.

If I turn the Wifi radio off and keep the laptop connected to the power source, the external screen keeps flickering. If I keep the WiFi radio and disconnect it from the power source blinking stops, too.

I reported this problem to Toshiba customer to the Portugal (where I bought it) and they gave me the ticket case #710008193. They said that they would not replace the defective unit and that I should leave for repair. It is absolutely amazing because the laptop is brand new. A customer still expects to have a well work product when needed out of the box without having to call the repair man. I think it is their obligation to replace the damaged aircraft. In addition, this laptop is part of a fleet of the company who buys only Toshiba laptops and we are talking about a Tecra and not a Satellite. We deserve more respect from Toshiba.

In a year or two, I have a new laptop (company policy) and it surely won't be a Toshiba.

    > They said they would not replace the defective unit and that I should leave for repair. It is absolutely amazing because the laptop is brand new

That is why amazing? A hardware malfunction can still happen and this happens not only in the world of the computer/laptop. Therefore, manufacturers provide a service to a client and failure may be fixed and covered by the warranty.

    > A customer still waiting to have a well work product when needed out of the box without having to call the repair man. I think it is their obligation to replace the damaged aircraft

Of course you are right, but in the reality of things happening.
My PS3 died after a short period of time. It has been fixed and replaced under warranty conditions, but this isn't a reason for me to say; I would not buy PS3 more because of this problem.
My BMW had some engine problems, that it was fixed under warranty and I would buy this car again once because this car is great and I think other builders are no better, and I think this would also happen to other manufacturers

That s my personal opinion in the opinion

    Greetings

  • Toshiba Canvio Basics 1 TB hard work do not

    Hi all

I bought a 1 TB Canvio Officeworks HDD Basics about 6 months ago, and it has been wayward more or less his entire life.

The USB connection is not and has never worked properly and was recently completely died on me, which means I can access is more data on the device.

I intend to pay, but I'd like my data on it.
    Contact Toshiba?

I tried to email them, but I can't work that the serial and model numbers are on this subject.
Also, I do not have the box, the drive came in or the original receipt would be this question if I am trying to return it?

I am sure that it is still in warranty and whatnot.

    Any help would be great,

    Louis

    > USB connection is not and has never worked properly and was recently completely died on me, which means I can access is more data on the device.

I googled for the 1 TB Canvio Basics HDD and it seems that this external HARD disk supports USB 3.0
The USB 3.0 standard generally provide 900mA power. The USB 2.0 standard provides power of 500mA.
If you have problems using USB 3.0 as part of a USB 2.0 device, I recommend you connect the HARD drive to 2 ports USB 2.0 USB with USB Y cable.

But if the HARD drive does not work in different USB ports (also connected to two USB ports) and then the HARD drive may be defective.

If the warranty is valid, the device can be fixed / replaced in warranty conditions. Of course you need a proof of purchase (receipt or something like that)

But to my knowledge such guaranteed conditions don t include the process of data recovery.
So in the event of disk failure HARD, the data is lost. :(

If you wish, you can check date get offers:
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/services/data-recovery/

But as far as I know if you have not purchased this service before the disk fails, the rescue date procedure can be a very costly affair.

  • Toshiba 32LV833G - side HDMI broke twice

I bought this TV in Carefour for Christmas.
2 months before the warranty runs out the side HDMI doesn't work anymore, I took it to a service - they replaced motherboard warranty conditions.

Now 5 months later - no guarantee more side HDMI port recognizes only half my devices that I plug in there and show those working - scrambled colors - yellow, blue-green...

Overal very bad experience. I spoke with the service - they say there is nothing to do for free anymore - now that I have to replace the motherboard again?

Come on TOSHIBA, it's absolutely redicilous this TV did not last 3 years yet. Maybe next time I'll get the other manufacturer TV.

    Hello Arnold,.

All hardware malfunction is really annoying and his great pity if a device starts to malfunction after the warranty has expired.
For me, it looks like a bad luck.

I crazy such similar experience several times using different devices. My game console (PS3) died twice. But I bought an extended warranty and this has been my lifeline.
