  • Recovery disks won't be finished reinstalling attract the Windows recovery error

I have a HP pc only to return some malware a few weeks. Tried to remove it and restart got the Startup Repair. Who ran, but received a message that the problem could not be resolved automatically. Tried several times but without success.

Then I tried the system restore, which seemed to work. It should restart the process and I got a screen that says Windows Recovery error. Gave me a few options but also safe mode start Windows normally. If so start normally, just screen becomes black and hangs there. I tried in safe mode, a list of drivers starts, then stops at crcdisk.sys and I get a box that says that I can't get into safe mode because Windows has not finished the installation.

Then I tried the HP recovery disks to restore the factory settings. Crossed reinstall it without problems and clicked on Finish to reboot and continue. It goes through the process some, restarts a few times and the final reboot immediately comes the same Windows error recovery screen. I tried several times and made sure the only cool things are the monitor, the keyboard, the mouse and the cord. I also tried to remove one of the memory two sticks and the sound card that is not the original. Memory sticks are original.

I thought it was the failure of hard drive and bought a new one last nite and was installed. Ran the recovery disks appeared once again, as he worked but got the same error Windows Recovery screen after a reboot.

Any ideas of what I can do? I can't go in safe mode at all.

    Thank you!

Edit - I forgot to mention that I have managed to get into the manufacturers menu and delete the original hard drive and tried to do the reinstall, but got the same error.

Fixed it got! Found the answer in another thread here. It's a problem witht Nvidia Geforce card I have and the DVI output. Think an update or something hit malware but all I had to do was remove the video card, plug a VGA instead of DVI cable and I was able to complete reinstall it! Everything works except the sound now. Trying to get that fixed and reinstall the video card later today.

  • Windows Recovery error screen: cannot get my computer to start!

After using my computer for a long period of time, I set it down for a few hours. When I put it up again, the screen was blank and I couldn't get out of hibernation. I manually turned off and restarted. Reboot, I had the Windows recovery error screen, where I was given the opportunity to 'launch Startup Repair' or 'start windows normally '. At the launch of the repair, the screen empties for a few seconds and returns to the error page. When you try to start windows normally, the system rebooted and returned to the error page. I did nothing durastic which would result in this error. Windows was preinstalled and came with any disks. How can I fix my computer and recover my files? My computer is a laptop Gateway MD.

Have you tried from disk running of all of the above programs.  Of course, some of them managed from the disk as the Startup Repair and system restore.  Others such as SFC and chkdsk or event viewer can be run from the disk by using the command line option (and instructions above on orders to enter).

Startup Repair and system restore has nothing to help?  Try these other options from the command prompt on the drive if you can't even in Mode safe (which is not a good sign).

    Good luck!

    Hello

This process will allow you to do a Vista repair disc. This isn't an installation disc, but will allow you to use the Vista Recovery Console that is available on commercial versions of Vista.

Download the file from the link below.

    Vista 64-bit

It is a zipped file.  If you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip, when installed, right-click on the zipped folder, select extract files and then click Ok.  You should now see another folder containing the ISO file.

You will need software to burn the ISO to a CD.  If you don't have that guy on the software installed, download and install ImgBurn and use it to burn the ISO to a CD.

Once you have created the Vista repair disk, follow the guide on the link below to see if it undertakes to repair your installation - you may need to run this several times.

  • HP Pavillion DV6: Recovery of Windows 7

    Hello

I have a laptop HP Pavilion DV6 comes with windows 7 home Premium a few months ago, I upgraded to windows 10. I would go back on windows 7. Is this possible?

I tried the HP Recovery Manager, but I get a message saying that rebecca.exe is not approved. Tried to use the tool windows 7 installation support, but since the product key for windows 7 came with the laptop, I get an error before you download media.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

It depends on if the Recovery partition is still on the hard drive.  When you look on the screen 'This PC' does show another named D: Recovery drive?  If it is still in place, you can start recovery - which will reinstall Windows 7 as to how it was when new - and every thing will be back.  Normally, you can start Recovery Manager by pressing F11 immediately by pressing the Start button.  It would be better if you have saved important data to separate media before doing so.

Another way would be to use the set of diskettes of recovery that you should have when the PC was new.

  • HP recovery error

Product name: HP Pavilion dv6 6119tx

    Product number: QB365PA #ACJ

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Error message: "restoration incomplete. "Please select one of the 3 options: Save Log, details, try again."

I have a set of recovery disks. I have tried Factory reset on my system (with CD), and so my whole HARD drive has been formatted. While making the resumption of growth in the always stopped at 40% (tried 3 times) progress bar, I even waited patiently for 4 hours to let the process complete but finally got the error: 'Destination drive not found '. I did some tests of HARD drive and found everything is OK.

The Recovery Manager has worked well up to 25%, then it asks to insert disk 2, then it still works very well up to 40%. The process still stuck at 40%! So, I it could be an error reading associated with the 2nd drive. So I tried to copy the disk #2(on desktop) using ImageBurner and it reported an error to read past copy of 63%; which confirms that there is a problem with the disc of ths #2.

But I do not know how, MagicISO maker managed to copy the disc #2 and so I burned the image to a new blank disc. I started the recovery process, and this time it has not stuck anywhere! So after having successfully copied data from all 3 recovery disks, I got a prompt to click on continue button to reboot (normal, no error). But after the reboot, the problem starts: cmd appears for 3-4 seconds then a sreen appears saying: "restoration incomplete. "Please select one of the 3 options: Save Log, details, try again."

After you click 'Retry', he invites me to enter a recovery media. I enter the disc #1 and technology makes me click on continue button to restart. After the reboot, the cmd appers, this time something different, written on it: "upDrvLetter: C:.

He waits 3 seconds, then shows a few lines of error like "file not found"(tout cela est imprimé dans le cmd). "» So finaaly I again get the error "Restoration incomplete" with 3 options of same. Yet once I clicked "Retry", "Continue", once again same cmd screen with ' upDriveLetter: C: "and blah-blah-blah!

What should do? After all this, I conducted an operation are erased using KillDisk (written block 00 on each byte of the sector. I spent 3 hours for this). Performed tests drive HARD and using the BIOS memory test. And yet once I tried restoring with my drives recovery, but without success! Yet once samething happens!

What should I do now? I don't want to buy a new set of recovery disks. Please tell me an alternative to that. What can the O with the damageg or corrupted disk #2?

    Hello

To answer your questions in order.

You may be able to activate through the internet, but the activation process will recognize a key OEM and retail facility and this can cause his failure, while activation using the 'phone' will still work.  There is lot trying to activate via the internet first - if missing, you will be asked just to use the method of the phone.

HP Coolsense must be installed with HP Support Assistant and described in This Document.  The latest version of HPSA are here.

You should also be able to find most of your software and drivers here.  For example, Protection of the drive hard HP ProtectSmart found under "Software - Solutions."

Trying to extract the disks of your software and the driver will be difficult.  If they are anything like my set of disks, they will be divided into several .wim files, some of which are very likely to be found on your bad drive #2.

If you don't find that there is missing software you can not download and really want, your best bet is just to order a set of replacement of HP recovery disks here.  The price varies depending on where in the world you live, but they are usually not that expensive.

    Kind regards

  • # 500-164 HP model: backed up my files in 2 external hard drives, and then made recovery, came back and recovery error

Your post shows your PC than the execution of win10, but it comes preinstalled with Win8x.  This means that at some point, you've done setting at Win10 level, and unfortunately, that corrupts the information of HP recovery: HP Recovery Manager blocked after Windows 10 Upgrade - HP Support Forum's - 5170752

Once you do this upgrade, the ONLY way to perform a recovery after that use HP recovery media.

Ordinarily, I advise to use HP recovery media to restore your PC to its original state. That would erase the entire disk, format the drive and install the operating system, drivers and utilities HP.

Unfortunately, there is no support of HP recovery related to HP for your PC Product Page. This could be an oversight by HP, or it could also mean that HP stock is no longer the recovery media for your PC.

You can try to contact the HP customer directly, using the links below, to see if you can order them if:

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: once you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to someone ' one - it can take a while!

    ---------------------------------------
However, HP customer care is generally not available on weekends, so you will have to wait until Monday to contact them.

If HP no longer provides a recovery media for your model, a few other sites, you should check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

A question: did you create recovery media and try to install the recovery DVD or USB recovery image?

In my opinion you shouldn't change anything. I assume that your laptop is guaranteed valid so I think you should contact Toshiba service provider and ask for help. If there is a problem with the HARD drive, you should get a new one for free.

It could be other material causing the closure downwards during the test, unfortunately there is no good way to understand what it is, you may have to send in repairs or try another hard drive to see if that solves the problem.

I tried to do HARD drive recovery. It was fine until instaliation. And after the 1% error message (1117) maybe someone knows what is a problem?

How do I recover HARD drive without errors L750-22Z?

Very interesting question. If the recovery image is ok there is no reason for the message error.

Did you create the recovery disk?
If so try to install the recovery image using the recovery disk.

  • Satellite A305-S6992E recovery error

I have a set of two disks of Vista SP1 disks for my A305-S6992E.

I tried to move the HARD drive to a larger and bought a HARD drive and installed.
I put the recovery disk and click on it to return the computer to factory settings.

It took a lot of time, reading data from the disk, then creating files and complete the installation.
Restart the computer, I get the little scroll bars green, while the load Vista, happens on the pretty blue-green screen, and it said "Please wait while windows continues to set up your computer...". "then I get an error dialog that says:

+ The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows Setup cannot continue. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation. +

I have read several forums saying to use the F8 option at startup to repair, but repair is not an option in the start menu. My choice of boot mode safe and ends with start Windows normally.

I tried to re - run the program of recovery disks and messed with a few variations (with or without re-partitioning, verification of memory, etc.), but still, it returns to the same spot and stops with the same error.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hi mate

You said that you have upgraded the HARD drive.
Have you noticed the same problem installing using the old HDD?
Please check this! It would be useful to know if the new HARD drive could be the problem.

I also recommend to check the BIOS.
There is an option (or should be) called SATA mode. Try putting it in compatibility mode and then try to reinstall the operating system

You suggest however that you have installed the original Windows operating system.
Usually after the initial installation of Windows OS, you must install the drivers of Toshiba in the right order.
