HP L7580 do not print CYAN

My HP L7580 prints is more CYAN.  New ink cartridge does not help.  Cleaned heads with the HP utility twice to no avail.  Ran the HPHDU.exe and the HPPSDR.exe, and the two show "all is well".  A ran "OficejetProL7580_R2011PxN.exe" Flash RAM - no difference.  Suggestions?

Hey MikeSNJ,

Looks like you already did some troubleshooting to this problem.  According the description, looks like the Cyan/Magenta in the L7580 printhead has a plugged port or goes wrong.

However, I would check the linked document here, for the resolution of problems in the L7580 printing quality.

If you arrive at Six Solution: replace one or two print heads, then you will have a choice at this point.

The print heads can be ordered by clicking here and are roughly US $ 80 each.  At this point, you can choose to buy a new printhead to see if that will resolve the issue or buy another printer.  If you decide to go with another printer, be sure to call HP Technical Support on the upgrade program by which you can get a newer refurbished HP printer, with a full factory warranty, at a discounted rate.  If you are in the USA / Canada, then the number to dial is 1-800-474-6836.  If you are not in this area, please click here.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for your response.  I definitely have the use of the genuine HP cartridges. He bought Hurstville post office.

Today I already returned it to the exchange of post office for a new tri color ink. I have lost my receipt because I didn't expect that this situation will occur. But the staff is very helpful. I installed new ink and is now ok. I love my printer again now!

It's a faulty color ink. Personal Post Office said this is the first time, they found the HP ink defective return. I'm not very lucky... I lost a lot of A4 paper to test print again and again.

Check back here to let people with the same problem know, stop old papers. It could be solved if you exchange your ink. But please bring the defective ink and test print report with you. If you still receive also bring it with you.

  • More recent Photosmart 6520, not printing cyan

Print stuff now that should be primarily blue & green - outgoing blue gray and stuff that has to be green is dark red. Ran: Tools > Print Quality Report - turned out to be just as it should. Tested another print to... same issues with grey/red instead of blue/green. Ran: Tools > cleaning print head - this second "Print quality diagnostic" printed even better than the first test. But same problem persists with the printing of the original file.

    Please help?

I found some additional info - it is not the printer, this is the files I tried to print in PDF Viewer that I used!

    1. the records were not print correctly from Apple previewed, but printed fine via Adobe Reader.

    2. I was able to print other PDF files in color at Apple Preview, but not this particular batch of files designed (letterhead, envelopes, business cards, etc.).

Thus, a). There is a problem with the batch of files, in conjunction with b). using Apple Preview to view & print these files. Strangest thing I've ever seen. :-/  But at least it isn't a problem with my printer. Thanks for the follow-up, Ciara.

  • OfficeJet pro 8500. Installe4d new cartridge HP cyan. Do not print this color

Installed a new HP cartridge twice. preformed cleaning cycles & alignment. Will not print cyan. Worked fine until I changed the cartridges

There could be little ink clogging one of the ports of the print head. There is a document with steps to help solve the problems of location printing here.

Make sure you do 3 levels of cleaning print head. If none of the steps of work, then you may need to replace the Cyan/Magenta Printhead or the printer.

    I hope this helps.

  • OfficeJet Pro K850 - ink cartridge does not print

My K850 printer is not printing cyan. According to the Toolbox of the K850, cartridge series cyan was 75%, and the health of the print head has been fair. The cyan cartridge was beyond its expiration date I replaced it. The new cartridge does not better than the old cartridge print. Before I spend another $40.00 + did someone has something to suggest?

Although the cleaning of the print head has helped a little, it did not help, so I bought a new cyan print head. When I installed the new print head, the printer automatically aligned to the printhead and now cyan works very well. Unfortunately, the alignment process pointed out flaws in magenta and Yellow Printhead. Now everytime that I print anything the printer goes through a continuous systematic alignment printhead to try to correct the magenta and Yellow Printhead, waste of paper and ink, until I cancel all print jobs. New cleaning of the printheads and the contacts did not help. In the end, no matter what is the status of print head in the tool box, replacing the print heads is the only solution that worked.

  • Inkjet e: 5740 5740 printer does not print color cyan & alignment problem

    Hello

Recently, I replaced my lights on my P 5740 printer ink cartridge while trying once photograpgh print [6 x 4] & have had nothing more than headaches since.

The cyan color does not print ink levels indicate that it is used. I cleaned the heads of ink at level 3. I have replaced the ink cartridge & still have the same problem and now the alignment is unsuccessful.

I'm challenged to begin with technology & this challenge is both frustrating and disappointing that I do not understand what I did right.

Any suggestions before I have packing the printer & return to Staples?

    Thank you

    HI @RC23,

Because the printer is only a couple of months I suggest to HP customer care and ask about a replacement printer. Most likely, it is a matter of ink system, since you've already tried another cartridge with the same results. Check the model number and the form to receive a file number for faster assistance.

    Thank you!

  • Cyan is not printing on HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more - Air bubbles in the ink tubes

    Hi all

I know why cyan is not printing.  It is because of the following:

Ago, I ran out of ink cyan printing ("please replace cyan before continuing").  I live in a remote area and was not able to buy a replacement cyan cartridge, so I read on a hack on the Internet, that was to fool the printer into thinking that the cyan cartridge remained inside ink (just basically restricting the measure gauge so that it read the Full cartridge).  I did it because I had a print document that requires only the black ink, so I knew that this wouldn't be a problem.  Then life happened and I completely forgot my little shortcut, and my wife printed a number of color photos.  I finally had time to cartridges, and I now understood that cyan is not print at all.  I have now opened up the printer and realize that the cyan ink tube is full of bubbles...

I tried to fix this by printing A4 pages that are for the most part, cyan, but without success.  I even tried to put pressure on the ink cartridge cyan in order to flood the cyan ink tubes - also, it does not work.  I read somewhere that there is a way to actually get some printers to pump tubes with ink, is - it possible on the Officejet Pro 8500 has more?

Of course, I did all the tools that are pre-set to the arsenal of 8500, but still no luck.

I know I'm in the situation I am purely because I don't use the device as intended, and people that no one is to blame but me, but I'd appreciate any help you could provide.

    Thank you

    John

John, looks like you have a problem with the ink system. Unfortunately, what it looks like happened here, is that your ink nozzle, tubing and probably-print head have put dry for cyan. Work around is pretty neat, but it really is only recommended for a very temporary solution. If the ink has dried in the piping, but elsewhere in the printer then can be a decent chance that this printer will be not likely reprint the cyan. You can try to run the automatic cleaning process (up to three times I would say) via the Tools menu in the Setup (the wrench).

In addition, I'm not sure that this will be a question that has a simple resolution. Apologies, John.

PS Hope you have a wonderful day and that your time is as beautiful as she is here!

  • Photosmart 6520: Photosmart 6520 does not print the new colors yellow, magenta and cyan

I installed new cartridges 364 original color and now the printer prints everything in black and white only.

Before replacing the cartridges I printed black and white stuff (because the cartridges were low).

I have installed new drivers, it off for a minute, restarted.
I cleaned up and align the cartridges.

White are not dry, as I tested al with tissue.

All of this happened less than a month after the expiration of the warranty.

In properties, grayscale printing is turned off.

    What could be the problem?

Well - he started working by itself after some 5 to 6 hours. All tests and diagnoses before that said nothing wrong, but the colors were simply not print at all. Then, as this, the print quality diagnostics showed color.

In http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03318187 step 2 tips you allow auto maintenance to complete. I suggest now just let it meditate and heal itself and do not even try the other troubleshooting steps discount. However, the few hours suggested could be more than a little. I've almost exhausted my black cartridge when running all the other tests and diagnostics, and now I'm waiting for a new... Once I get it, I'll put it in, and then let the sit of the printer for 4 to 6 hours just to settle. I hope that's enough. And then, finally, I might be able to print my document.

Would be nice, if this problem was mentioned in the cartridge installation instructions.

  • I have a G510n all-in-one Officejet wireless that does not print in Cyan.

The cartridges are full, I cleaned the printheads several times, made all the diagnostic tests, restarted the computer, reinstalled the software and drivers.  I can't align the print heads because the scanner cannot see blue lines due to their not printing not.  The printer is out of warranty, so I need to know if I need to trash or is there another solution for this problem.  Following a forum, the person said it was chip problem, but did not specify how they fixed it.  Coult it will be the same question?  Any suggestions would be extremely useful.

Thank you.  I called and you have a printer replacement for Iwould less pay at the store.  Simple and effective.  I appreciate the help.

  • HP Photosmart C6180 Magenta Ink not printing

    error message: no

description of the problem: Magenta Ink not print not EXCEPT on the page that prints after aligning the print cartridge printing is performed. At the bottom of this page, the bars of yellow, Cyan and Magenta print perfectly, just like the mixture of the color shown in the colorful bird printed below the bars.

Self Test Diagnostic Page is printed with bars No. Light Magenta or Magenta, under print quality model. State of ink and level for both shows like OK magenta and 100%

Troubleshooting: I ran repeated cycles of head cleaning and aligning the print cartridge print without changing the output. The page that prints after cleaning has NO magenta bars or lines. Seems the page that prints after alignment. Via e-mail support, I was directed to perform a complete reset "semi" and "the NVM reset" - neither of these had no effect. Magenta inks have been replaced, but the problem persists.

Exchange: the printer had not been used for several months.

My printer started working. It had been disconnected and sitting for several months. I turned it to try the HP solutions (below) and found that it worked - I had nothing to do!  In any case, I hope this can help some of you with similar problems:

  • HP Photosmart Premium C309: blue ink will not print

I replaced all 3 color cartridges, but also the black with the new HP cartridges but when I tried to print the Cyan (blue) does not print. I tried to print something green on this subject and it printed yellow. The computer recognizes that the new cartridge has been installed. I cleaned the print heads, but that did not help. I printed a page of diagnosis and cyan won't print, even if it does appear that the ink level is declining, although it is not printing.

In the paper here troubleshooting steps can help solve cyan not print on your Photosmart c309.  Be sure to go through all the steps in order.
