HP Officejet Pro 8100: HP Officejet Pro 8100 - do not recognize tray 2 in the system set up (10 surface 4 pro runningwin 64 bit)

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8100.  It is connected by the network of my 4 Surface Pro running Windows 10.  When I add the printer in the printer and window Deivce, he finds the thin printer.  In the printer properties, it shows Tray 1 and the duplex option.  However, it doesn't show a tray 2.

I searched the forum.  I do the following:

1. turn off the printer

2. Remove Tray 2

3. fed up printer

4 tested - test page printed

5. power off

6 added tray 2

7. power

in settting printer - no tray 2 listed in the properties of the printer not-online setting tab

suggestions?

I saw this question for other printers, so I hope that there is a response to mine.  I just upgraded the speed of my internet service which involved a new router.  We made sure all the computers in the House worked with her, but I forgot to try the printer before the technician left.  Now my computer thinks printer Officejet Pro 8100 is offline (turned off) and the blue light on the printer blinks.  How can I get the printer to recognize the new router?  I guess I have to add that I do not know where to find the code of the intellectual property that is asked for when I go to the start menu, the HP folder, select my printer, etc.  He said: push the button on my printer wireless, so I push button blue flashing light but that does not produce a number.  Help appreciated!    It's an ATT router and I have the WiFi network name and wireless password.

  • Studio XPS 8100 Wifi not recognize connections

Hello, I recently moved to College with my Dell Studio XPS 8100. The school offers wifi, which I can connect to a bit on my laptop, telephones and even consoles. However, my computer tower in the same exact place can't save even that wifi connections exist.

While the school wifi does not seem to use some sort of proxy, I can locate and connect to it fine on my laptop Dell Inspiron positioned at the same place as my turn, so I don't think there is a problem with the routers or the school wifi connection. There are also other close connections (my roommate printer, wifi from a neighbor) that are independent of the school which are also not be picked up by my computer. Only, he has a red X over the wifi symbol and said that no connection is available.

While at home, I had no problem and the unit has not changed since then. I don't think there is a wifi external change, so I don't think I fell anything during the move. (But if I'm wrong, please let me know).

As far as I can tell, I've checked the Device Manager, all the drivers seem to be activated and functioning. I tried a system restore to the week last to see if an update may have changed something, but it had no effect. I also went to the Dell drivers & downloads and downloaded and installed the latest network driver (1525 Wireless Atheros WLAN Mini Card Desktops, v.8.0.0.376, A02) which was available for my model. It also did not help.

Well, I must say that I am a little disappointed that I have not received a response from the help here. Way to go Dell. Really feel the 'support '.

I love how a problem one sentence posted a few days later got more than 100 responses. Maybe next time I not giving all the details of the sentence and just say "my wifi is not working help me please?

Anyway, pretty passive aggressive. For anyone who comes across this post with the same problem, here is how I fixed it:

I jumped open the computer because I was sure it was a hardware problem, and of course, there was a layer of dust on my ethernet card and connection strips but seemed dull and did not make a good connection. Carefully, I removed the card and cleaned, replace it. I also made sure my antenna that comes with the computer has been fully connected (believe me, this tour can not pick up wifi at all without them, to ensure that the antenna is in!)

A few reboots later and he remained in service.

Hello! Welcome to the @jsp56 forums

I read your email about how you are facing problems with the installation of the printer software on your Windows 7 system, and I'm hoping to help!

You will not have an installation disc to install the printer on your computer, you can download and run the installation compatible with Windows 7 here:

After properly installing the software, you should have your return fax options!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8210: Officejet Pro 8210 will not print - need to finish the setup message

I have installed, implemented the 8210 OfficeJet Pro, HP Universal print driver HE managed mode, installed ink cartridges and printer alignment sheet printed.

I plugged it in via USB, and the system set up the printer correctly.  I went to print a test page and the printer displays the following message:

'To print, you must complete the installation.  Press OK and follow the instructions or choose? ».  I press OK, but nothing is displayed, it just goes back to the main menu and the help screen is useless.

I can print reports in the menu of the printer very well, it will not just print the system Windows 10.

I've implemented 8 of them exactly the same way with no problems.  I think I can try free managed mode.

Does anyone know how to reset the printer to factory specifications, so I can restart the entire process to help self-directed mode?

I took a cat with HP to solve the problem yesterday.  We had to install the full version of the software rather than the base driver.

It's strange because I had a different Pro OfficeJet 8210 on my work system a few days earlier by using the old driver.

In any case, it worked, so the problem is solved.  Sorry for without closing the post earlier.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8100: Can not find the driver for the Officejet Pro 8100 online

I've recently updated to Win10 (the free update, I do not know how many bits). I also then changed my wireless carrier. Now my laptop is not connecting to the new hub, and it seems that there is no driver more - so I don't know if these changes are the problem, or one of them.

I tried to install a new driver and I first started the process, but the printer not print report pages, and then the laptop don't would not recognize the USB cable, even though it had been plugged in all the time. I tried to remove the cable and reinsert; also turning the printer market, but cela did not work.

I also have Virgin and with them her reset the hub, but the hub still not connect to the printer.

Now when I go to the page of drivers hp and it identifies my product, it then tells me there is no drivers for this printer now, and I should come back later in case they are developing.

I can't believe that this is true. Can you please give me a link to a page where I can find and install the driver?

May also explain why the cable USB is not recognized?

  • HP Officejet Pro 8100 does not print - wired network connection - Mac OS x 10.9

I have my 8100 Officejet Pro connected to my home network via a wired ethernet connection. I use Mac OS X 10.9. We had ongoing problems with the printer is accessible via the network. Whenever we have set up the connection, it works for a few print jobs, but whenever we close the printer, the next attempt to print always fails.

I just went through all steps to solve the problem. I went back to square one: reinstalled printer drivers on my MacBook Pro running Mac OS x 10.9; has passed through all stages of wired network connection. and now, every time I send a job to the printer, it fits like the receipt of employment and printing, but the printer itself does not.

The Billboard on the printer indicates it is connected to the network. Print the Network Setup page confirms it is connected to the cable network. Visit the IP address of the printer via my web browser also confirmed. I am able to print a printer HP Print Utility status report, so I don't know that the computer network and the printer are connected and communicate with each other. However, I can't print from MS Word, PDF files or anywhere else outside of the HP Print utility. Work is revealed in the queue, where it shows the status of each page completely 100%, employment disappears, but does never print it.

Help, please. This has been a problem since I bought the printer, and now that my warranty has expired, it's my last hope of fixing. I'm at the end of my tether with a device that I spent enough money on to expect to work, and it does not work properly literally since the day where it was purchased. All attempts to implement working temporarily, at best. Thanks in advance and if you need more information, please let me know.

    Hi DBG345

I understand that you are now able to print from USB, but not on the network.

There are a few things you can try.

Connect the printer to the router with the ethernet cable.

    Unplug the USB cable.

Get the IP address of the printer.

    Click on the Apple.
Click on System Preferences, click on the print icon and scanning, select the printer, click the sign - to remove the printer. Then click on the + sign, then select the printer from the list, select the printer name first, if it does not try the driver airprint, (airprint is apple pre-installed with functionality of basic pilot) click on the Add button.

You can try is to add the printer as a Protocol IP to see if it will work. Go to Apple, system, print, and scan preferences, click on + button, then select the icon of intellectual property across the top, type in the IP address of the printer, select direct stream below, then apply.

    Try to print.

I would like to sign up for updates from the HP driver. When available, you will be informed by e-mail.

    Hope that helps.

I just got an officejet 8100 with a second tray and the driver recognizes that there is a tray 2. I have regular bar State, but when I print to tray 2 paper, I get a message "on paper." There is nothing of blocking the tray that I see. I have reset the printer, checked for jams, etc., but I still receive the message.

    Hey there pcforms!

It seems that the tray is not for the Officejet all after 8100, which is probably the cause of the problems. I checked the HP parts Surfer website to find the information that you will need for the second ferry that will be compatible with your printer. You can order the part on the website or contact HP directly. I'll leave the details of HP below for you. • HP Officejet Pro 8610: HP Officejet Pro 8610 does not recognize ink cartridges

My printer has ceased to recognize its ink cartridges. In a first stage, the problem happened occasionally and could be fixed by installing and reinstalling the cartridges or just wait a few days, but now it is continuous.

When I turn on the printer, it immediately gives me an error (without code), saying that it cannot find the cartridges. All four are marked on the screen as not found. I followed the instructions of troubleshooting here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04090902

The cartridges are genuine, they are the ones that came with the printer. I removed the, checked the contacts of the four. They look damaged or dirty, but used a cloth to clean all anyway. Put back them, did not help. Checked the latch, it was in the correct position. I even tried the restart without result.

I tried to replace the cartridge with a new one (again, product HP genuine), but does not replace the printer either. And because all cartridges have failed at the same time, I can hardly belive the problem lies in them.

I come from Finland, and I've not found a phone number, I could ask for help. Does one exist even for my country?

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

  • HP Officejet 5740 e-all-in-one: HP digital Fax must be set to record on a GNU/Linux (Debian)?

I used to have a printer of the 8500 series (if I remember correctly) that can be configured from the web interface to save on a standard network share (CIFS/Samba).

Some recent HP with capacity fax printers seem to be able to record in such an action on the network, but the documentation implies that only works on a Windows system with the HP software. It seems that the software configures only a standard Windows share to be accessible on the network.

Can it be set up a GNU/Linux system (NAS, server, etc.) without using Windows at all? How? Is there a shared resource naming convention, working group, etc. ? I can't find any references to this.

Edit: I found the installation steps of filing for my old digital printer, I wonder if there is something similar (or the same) in the user Web interface of the newer printers.

Ultimately I just installed a basic print/scan/copy printer (Envy 4500 series) that complements USB modem-Fax + eFaxGTK well. The only element missing from the old system is direct fax from the printer (now requiring a print + rescan to fax via eFaxGTK) and do not have a document feeder.

    * Lack of history for faxes sent

    * Don't fax not working from the PC (I'm report a bug on this subject)-Gnu/Linux fax queue was aways "Paused".

    * Fax backend related to HP printer (if the printer fails, no guarantee a new printer will use the same procedures to receive faxes, etc.)

None to retrieve faxes in memory of the printer of Gnu/Linux
