HP support assistant-program keep repeating: restart

I have: HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook Pc. a week ago HP support assistant-program told me about the new version of it, so I left it to download. Okay then it ask me to reboot my laptop, so I'm doing this. But after a few minutes he wanted to restart again... so I restart it... then he asked the same thing over and over again. Then, when he kept this for 4times more I've had enough and restore my laptop in time before this "glitch". Today, a week after this 'problem' HP support assistant now wanted to load the latest version again. Did he, but same old "rebooting laptop" started to produce it again. What to do and am I the one and only being hotelis HP support assistant-program. ?

Hello

Try the procedure described below and see if this will allow HPSA set up correctly.

Unless you still have the installer, download the latest version of HP Support Assistant from the page on the link below - download links are to the bottom of the page - and Save the installer to your download folder.

http://h18021.www1.HP.com/helpandsupport/HP-support-Assistant.html

Then, if you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install the Installer x 64 64-bit .msi for 7 - Zip at the link below.

http://www.7-zip.org/

Then, right click on the HPSA installer you download earlier, select Extract 7 - Zip, select the files, and then click Ok.  The newly extracted folder, right-click on UninstallHPSA and select "Run as Administrator" - you may well see no progress of this attempt uninstalling, then leave the laptop at idle for a good 10 minutes before restarting it.

When windows has reloaded, open Control Panel, open programs and features, make a right click the entry for HP software framework and select uninstall.

Once again, when this has completed, restart the laptop.

When charged up, download and install the version of the HP Software Framework on the following link.

As part of the HP software.

Restart the computer after installation.

When windows is loaded, open your downloads folder and delete the folder HPSA "extract" so you are just left with the original HPSA installer that you downloaded.

Now run Microsoft 'Fixit' on the link below and use it to install the new version of HPSA.

HP Support assistant suddenly stopped running my laptop HP dv6t-3100.  I reinstalled several times, and sometimes it works for a few days, then fails to identify my camera, so no loading and so useless.  MS program compatibility tool identifies it as "incompatible".  I don't understand.  My OS is Windows 7, 64-bit, home premium.  It worked well for a few years, but has now become weird.  Does anyone know what it is?  Any help would be appreciated, especially given that this laptop does not work as effectively it was.  Thank you very much.

  • HP laptop - 15-ay011nr: HP Support Assistant suggests an incompatible update to my system

    Hello

HP Support Assistant suggested three updates for my system.

When you try to download the wizard, all of the facilities have not (a phenomenon that has been described by some other posters in this forum).

So, I looked for each three updates directly in the HP site, after finding my computer and the operating system (HP for computer laptop 15-ay011nr, 10 64-bit Windows).

I have found two of the updates, but not the third, called: "Intel WLAN for Micorsoft Windows", with Softpaq number SP76133, version 18.40.0.9Pp2, if it is relevant.

When I reviewed this softpaq number in the site, I have found, but saw that it's only for windows 7 and 8.

Why the HP support assistant that suggest an update for my system win 10?

Am I supposed to download it?

If not, is there a way to stop the support Wizard to think that I should install it?

    Thank you!

  • H9-1245eo: update of inauthentic HP support assistant?

There are about two hours that I was just browsing by chance youtube, one flashed black control top box to the left of my screen. Quickly, I open my task manager and saw that my cpu was used by an unknown program. The program isn't there anymore so I don't remember exactly what his name was, but I vaguely remember having the word "windows" in it, but also a form of the word "restoration" or maybe another word that was similar to it. Everything went pretty fast.

I happened to have my office to the top at the moment, and coincidentally, I noticed that right now my office was being changed somehow. At this point, I have a dialog box in the lower right corner of my screen of the hp support assistant telling me to restart the computer and asking me if I want to do it now or if I want to do later. Assistant support on my tray icon had now changed color to a light shade of blue. As I looked closely at my desktop icons, I noticed that the icon hp support assistant had changed to a light shade of blue there as well. By clicking on one of the icons some results in the dialog box opening upward again. Looks like HP support assistant had installed an update on my computer without prior guest or indication he did so beforehand. Is this normal? Is - this as well updates from HP support assistant are supposed to work? Nothing like that's never happened before.

I got a little worried, so I scanned my computer with malwarebytes and Eset nod32 antivirus, but none of them gave no results. I'm just being paranoid here, or is there something dubious going? For more information, HP support assistant is listed as having been installed today when looking at more in the sections "Add/Remove Programs", echoing 69.7 MB. I also noticed that there is a restore point created at the time of installation which confirms that the restore point would the following program: "HP support assistant 8.1.40.3.

Here is a picture of new icons, as well as the dialog box that appears when you click on it (it's in Swedish):

    @GreenMario3000

It seems that your HP Support Assistant updated itself the previous 6.x / 7.x version to the newer format HPSA 8.x

With this new configuration of the HPSA program, you earn a few troubleshooting information - and you lose the ease of development in the older HP Support Assistant that so many people have used over the years.

    Why the tune-up's?

No idea - HP does not consult with me on politics internal.  The smile.

  • HP Support Assistant v7.7.34.34 problem

I've recently updated the HP Support Assistant software on my HP ENVY 700-230qe PC (Windows 8.1) of the 7.4.45.4 version to the new version of 7.7.34.34 (such as published on the site of downloads of software and driver for my machine). To enable the removal of the previous version, I was forced to use the 'Repair' tool (which should not be necessary under normal circumstances). After you have installed the latest version, I discovered that some features of the program no longer work correctly. When you try to use some tools to Support Assistant (i.e., my computer > Diagnostics & resources), I get the error message "Page not found" :

"The page of the link is not available at this time. Please go to HP Support Assistant,

Keep and then click the Refresh button. If you continue to see this message, please

Click on the feedback button and provide feedback. »

I do not understand the error message above. My suspicion is that the 7.7.34.34 update version is buggy - or maybe the remains of the old 7.4.45.4 version are still in place (HPSA reports that both versions are always installed, although the control panel lists only the latest version). In addition, I met the same question with another PC HP Windows 8.1 in my household. Uninstallation of 7.7.34.34 (again requiring the "Fix it" MS tool) & then put it back does not solve the problem either. Any suggestions for a solution?

Uninstalling HP Support Assistant is not just using the uninstall tool in Control Panel.  This Youtube video shows all the steps, do not blink because it is fast.

  • Pack care not HP Support Assistant recohnised

I bought a Care package a few months ago, and yet the HP Support Assistant always keeps tagging me to buy a package of care because the warranty will expire next year.

"Your HP warranty for your 500-570na is scheduled to complete the 14/03/2016."

When I go to the HP Support and it asks me to check my sttus of support, he then acknowledges the Care Pack.

How do I rectify this? (I see that many other people have had problems using the Care Pack and I don't want to happen to me).

(Sorry - there no category for support in your list of Council).

    Hello

Contact HP Support to obtain the number of Care Pack fixed.

Of course IAM system used by Technical Support should recognize the care pack.

If this isn't the case, provide support technical details of the agent on the package of care to validate and update your records.

  • J013TX - HP support Assistant stuck

Hi, I recently used the HP Support Assistant to download an update of the BIOS for my J013TX. The update downloaded successfully (AFAIK), but sacrificed HP Support Assistant asks for a restart. The machine has been rebooted about 20 times, I think it's stuck.

Please indicate how it is possible to clear this update - I don't mind simply remove the update of the BIOS so I am able to receive further updates.

    Thanks, Choisum

    The complete BIOS update?

If restarting the HP support is optional, so don't let your PC.

You will need to use the safe mode of Windows 8 to be able to access MSCONFIG to disable the HP Support Assistant tab start once you have done that you should be able to boot your PC and uninstall the HP Support Assistant software. You can install the latest version from the download section in the web portal of support for your laptop.

You may also check the Task Scheduler to see if it is there as well. It is accessible using the charm of the research.

I was a participant in a thread where I described how to disable the HP Support earlier this year.

  • Product name: HP Pavilion 17 N: HP Support Assistant > HP updates > update BIOS (AMD processors) - clear update reminder?

    Hello

I got a recommended set the HP Support Assistant program to update update for HP Notebook System BIOS (AMD processors).  I installed the update to the BIOS but the HP Support Assistant still says I need to run the BIOS update.  So I ended that run the BIOS update 2 times more but it prompt update with the exclaimation point in the promgram HP Support Assistant to delay the update of the BIOS is always there to want me to install the BIOS update.

How can I clear this reminder of update of the HP Support Assistant program?

    You are welcome!

    1. If machine BIOS update after downloading, it will automatically start the system and show you the whole process and progress.

2 just by downloading the BIOS update does not update. However no Expert here don't advise update BIOS to do as a routine, including through HPSA.

If an UPDATE of the BIOS damage your laptop computer, you will not be able to turn on the machine - in short - it'll be no more than an expensive paper weight.

3 If the BIOS has been updated successfully, then you go and not be able to on & do your work in portable as usual.
