• HP8620: Printer offline, Windows 10, worked fine until a few days ago

  I have a wired network printer, HP8620.  In the last few days, every time I turn on my laptop (HP spectrum), also connected by wire to the network printer is offline - it will not be printed.

  Reports HP print and utility Scan doctor that the printer is offline, but Microsoft Word and other applications do not, print saying the printer is offline. I can solve the problem by turning the printer off and on again.

  I've seen suggestions that it is a problem of SNMP status, but when I go to the printer properties, Ports and select "Configure Port", I get an error message "an error occurred during port configuration", "this operation is not supported", so I can't uncheck SNMP, as suggested elsewhere.  Any ideas?

• HP8620: Turns the printer off line

  I have a HP8620 printer that leads me in the corners.

  Continues to go the printer offline, he worked for weeks without a problem, then it turns off the line almost every day.

  I have the latest updates for windows and also the latest driver for the printer.

  I stopped the printer spooler and reworded some times it works, I have blowen away the driver for the printer that so many times I'm on it.

  The printer was working wireless and I had the problem so it is now connected via a Lan cable and same problem.

  Can someone please help the printer was not cheap when I brought. He becomes very close to go in the trash and buy a different brand printer.

• HP8620: Error in the printer

  I went to my HP8620 yesterday to find a printer error duisplayed on the screen.  He said "Please stop printer, then press.  All the lights were flashing.  I turned the printer, then on and the printer has been its start-up phase.  Almost immediately, the screen went black, then blue, and finally the printer error appeared again on a white background.

  I repeated this procedure several times them turn off the printer and unplug.  I disconnected and then reconnected the USB connection to my PC.  Whenever the printer error again.  While the screen is momentarily blue there is a code B840E9E2 displayed number.

  Sometimes my PC goes to Flash a message if the device connected to the USB port is not recognized.

  Please try the steps below...

  1. While the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  2. Unplug the USB cable from the back of the printer, as appropriate.
  3. Turn off the wireless router.
  4. Wait 30 seconds.
  5. Connect the power cord to the printer.
  6. Check if an error appears.
  7. When the printer is ready, make a copy. Check to see if the error is.
  8. Turn on the wireless router.
  9. Check to see if the error is.

  How to print 4 x 6 photo paper HP photo using the HP8620 printer? I can't believe there is no instructions in the manual of 30 language comes it with it. I loaded the document face down, the shiney paper flow, but I get the error "paper type mismatch."

  Right now I am trying to print with Picasa. I have not had any problems on my HP C309g printer.

  Good news, you can 'Add' a form for the 4 X 6 or the format of paper 4X6.5 (tabs).

  The basic instructions are already available for the printer, but not where you expect:

  Create paper formats in Windows 7, Windows 8, and Mac OS X

  I have created a new form of 4X6.5in so I can use my photo paper 4 X 6-inch with tab in my new printer.   The printer was to launch "paper mismatch" errors in the form of 4 X 6.

• HP8620: HP8620 off connection but sweeping

  I have a 8620 Officejet which has worked well for awhile, but for several weeks now, it is displayed in offline mode every time. The strange part is that I am able to scan and print from the HP printer Assistant application test pages.

  Don't know if this relates, but I also have an extension of autonomy (which is not used for the printer) and computer and the printer are on the same wifi network (the printer is not connected through the USB cable).

  Who are interested in the installation?  If the 8620 Officejet Pro is on the network, you would be able to enter the printer's IP address in the browser of your laptop.  This will open built-in Web Server (EWS printer).  From there, there is a Tools tab, which gives a number of options, including the information of product, usage reports, backup and restore settings, utilities and more.

  Gmail has changed several security options that can block the printer to connect to their servers.

  First, open the following link and ensure that you are connected to the same account that you define for the printer.
  https://myaccount.Google.com/

  In the section connection & security click on signature in Google and make sure 'The 2-Step check' is defined as 'Off '.

  In the left pane click on connected applications & sites and make sure that 'Access to less secure applications' is defined as 'ON', otherwise the check fails.

  In the left pane click peripheral activity & notifications, within the "security events" section click on the link to control events and make sure there is no connection blocked attempt (it will be highlighted in red), if there is no warning, proceed to the screen to ensure there is no block for this device.

  Once you are running a test for the outgoing user profile and check if the problem resolved.

  I had a paper jam when printing a fax.  Now, I need to reprint and cannot find any of the manuals.  How to reprint a received fax?

  For the Officejet Pro 8620 manuals can be downloaded from HP here.  Starting on page 68 and 69 of the Manual:

  Reprint of faxes received from memory

  Faxes received, which are not printed, are stored in the memory. NOTE: once the memory is full, the printer cannot receive the fax again until you print or erase memory faxes. You can also delete the faxes in memory for purposes of confidentiality or security.

  According to the sizes of the faxes in memory, you can reprint up to eight more recently printed faxes, if they are still in memory. For example, you will need to re - print your faxes if you have lost the copy of your last draw.

  To reprint the faxes in memory from the printer control panel

  1. make sure you have loaded paper in the main tray. For more information, see loading paper on page 23.

  2. in the Control Panel printer display, press and drag your finger on the screen and then press Setup.

  3. press on the configuration of the fax machine.

  4. Press Fax Tools.

  5. press on the reprint of the faxes in memory. The faxes are printed in reverse order, where they were received with the most recently received fax printed first, and so on.

  6. If you want to stop reprinting the faxes in memory, press on (cancel).

  Well, after several years of this machine works well, all sorts of weird things now.  It may have started when a machine of the NW wireless went to 10 Windows... it's the only thing I can think of.  In any case, scanning is no longer works, it shows offline, the wireless says it has stopped (which he has always been on) and I'm unable to re - it factory set.  I am also unable to connect directly with an Ethernet cable. I know where the factory reset button (Setup, tools, set at the factory), but it is greyed out and says locked by the administrator.  I am the admin, and I'm sure I know my ONE / PW for the machine, but I don't see how or where you can access a login page. .. .so I need no instructions on how to access the built-in Web server where I can re - activate the wireless and get my computers all the reconnected...and/ or the instructions referenced in several other threads via a message private to re-set at the factory on the way which (some forum called a semi... reset do not know if this will do the trick).  Very frustrating and I don't know why I can't fix it!

  If your printer is connected to your home network, can you do the following:

  1. Print a Configuration Page to get the printer IPv4 address (you can also tap on the icon wireless on the front panel of your printer to obtain the IP address)

  2 enter this IP address into your web browser (use IE or Chrome) to join the integrated Web server.

  I have installed my Hp 8625 in a wireless (Ooma Linx) port that connects my phone to voip Ooma (line2)

  I am able to send faxes, but test the incoming fax, I have this error message 252 or 283

  I consulted the Ooma Ph service, they are unable to help him.  Since I am able to send faxes, I thought that the configuration is correct with the Ooma device.

  Test HPFAX 888 473 2963, the fax is sent but incoming error 283.

• Black line on prints/scans using HP8620 ADF

  A thin black line down the page appears on the documents copied or scanned with the ADF on my 8620. Copy/scan from the flat bed is very good. All the ideas of cause and cure?

  This is probably a small spec on the thin glass to the left of the bed main scanner.  Specification can be difficult to see, it can be useful to hold a flashlight light parallel to the bed to hilight the spec.  The document here can help solve the problem.
