  • Problem cartridge Photosmart C6380 ink cartridge appears to be missing or damaged

When I installed a new cartridge black HP, after the existing black cartridge HP showed no black ink on paper, the message on the screen says "Ink cartridge problem - the following ink cartridges appear to be missing or corrupt" and indicated that the black cartridge was at fault.  I tried an another new cartridge HP black and had the same result.

I can't use the print head clean installation/tool while the message remains.

I have reset the printer (several times) by unplugging the power cord from the printer, while the power was on, wait at least 30 seconds and then reconnect the power cord to the printer.  All to nothing does not.

Any help you can give me would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

After having tried many suggestions from the Forum, including cleaning the printhead twice, I abandoned all hope and withdrawn for all connections of my Photosmart C6380 and instead, began to investigate other (not HP) printers.  A few days later (I'm slow nine material selection!), I thought I would connect my printer to my computer for one last try.

    AMAZING RESULT!

The printer has recognized all the cartridges HP 5 as he had already said that the (new) black cartridge is missing or empty.  It then proceeds automatically to clean and align the cartridges, taking more than 10 minutes in the process, and finally it print a sheet showing that the printer was working again.  I had to restart the computer before I could print normal leaves.

It seemed to me that the printer for a long period of isolation meant the printer lost recorded "information" and so had to start again.

  • Photosmart wireless B109n-z showing "ink cartridges above appear to be missing or damaged.

Hello, I have a problem with my photosmart printer (wirelless B109n-z) now (on Windows 7) and I could do with some advice. He started by printing not really properly-there were only a few extremely weak lines, so I opened the lid and makes sure that the ink cartridges were properly-they came out and put in the new - but then the error message came that the cyan ink cartridge is missing or damaged. As it was low on ink anyway I replaced it with a new one but the message was still there. I went through all the steps on the site of HP to address the problem, but it is always the same and have never used a not genuine HP ink cartridge. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you did not start the steps in this document it.   In step four parts 11 and 12, there are four fingers touch by cartridge.  Make sure that none of these electrical contacts are misaligned, if we're folded its place gently back in its place.  (Compare contacts faulty cyan with those on the cartridges adjacent as described in this post.)

  • "ink cartridges appear 2 b ordamaged missing" shows after clearing jam transport impression. Not fixed type

I have a Photosmart 5520 and use real, new HP cartridges only.

While trying to print, I received an error message indicating that the printer carriage has been blocked.  I opened it and could not move the carriage.  I removed a paper jam and a screw loosened, sitting on the floor of the printer... I turned off, unplugged and on replugged, etc..  At one point, I was able to move the cart.  I thought I had fixed and was ready, but we all know that it is usually not that simple.  Once I could move, I got the error as above indicating a problem with the ink cartridges.  Well, they certainly were not lacking, nor were low.  I took each and replaced, but that did nothing.  Then I took each one and cleaned the contacts of the cartridge so the printer.  I did a Visual check to see if one of them seemed to be damaged or if any debris was in their areas... I have not seen any problems, so hoped I'd be back in business after the own work... but, not luck.  I replaced then shouldn't each of them with an old trick of cartridge although they may be empty or low on ink, I always get this error... I thought that I can get a "low ink" error, but again... Alternatively, was missing or corrupt error on the printer screen.  I tried every method of troubleshooting I've read on... except, of course, replace them with new ones.  I hate to do it because they're all pretty full and who can afford to lose $50 + unless I am told you I have.  It seems all too coincidental he appeared immediately after the transport jam, but I had not done something for the cartridges themselves... and, as I said, I would have expected the 'old' to get rid of the message.  The message could be now what is stuck?  I need to replace my HP laptop to work so badly.  I really don't want to replace my all-in-one too many! I read the other posts with this issue settled after taking action I've tried... Why mine won't get solved?  Does anyone know what I should do next?  As I said, I unplugged and just turn off several times each.

    Thank you very much

  • without the Photosmart 5510 ink cartridges Control Panel cannot be accessed

I have a Photosmart 5510 which has no ink cartridge. My intention is to use it to scan only, and I would like to be able to set up wireless. When I turn on the printer, the control panel displays this: "problem of ink cartridges.  One or more cartridges appear to be missing or damaged. Install or replace the affected cartridges. »

The wireless button or the ePrint button cause anything to appear on the control panel and there is no other options, such as cancel or continue.

Is there a way to go beyond this message of ink cartridges without installing cartridges?

    Hello

In general, I'm afraid the answer is no, as a multifunction device, it requires the ink required to operate the device but there are of the workarounds you can try.

That there is a problem with one or more of the ink cartridges should be sorted first, the control panel will not answer while the device is in an error state.

You try to use the computer temporarily plugging in a USB port on the printer.

If the printer is recognized by the PC in such a State, let it finish its configuration and open the software HP Photosmart 5510.

Open the utilities tab and click on Setup & software printer, then click on convert USB to wireless and follow the steps on your PC.

If this success then run a scan of your PC use.

If it is not detected, which is likely to be affected by the error status of the device, such you will solve the problem first.

You can follow these steps to solve a problem of cartridge if necessary:

  • HP deskjet 3520 problem ink cartridge...

Hello... who need to print quickly (it is always when the printer has a problem)... we use only black ink, so the colors are not necessary. However, they are all in there. The error message on the printer screen is "one or more cartridges appear to be missing or damaged etc etc...". »

I cleaned the cartridge yellow as indicated in the message. Everything is given carefully and completely. It turned on and everything works... the error is still there... new black cartridge installed.

How to work around this message so I can print?

    Thank you in advance.

  • HP Photosmart Plus all-in-One: ink cartridge problems

I have a model B209.  Last week, I decided that I would take the four staples of cartridgesto used, because they have a recycling program.  I wanted to only buy black ink, so I bought 2 separate packages of the 564 Black.  Has opened a package and installed as usual.  All I keep seeing is problem Catrridge of ink: the following ink cartridges seems to be missing or damaged.  see status screen on your computer for more details.  The question is # 1 status display has not yet shown on my computer. #2 I can't even to other options on the Touchscrren of the printer.  I have read and watched videos of people who give directions and instructions on cleaning the print heads.  I tried to remove the printhead, soaking in the water, leaving back dry and enforcement.  I did these things repeatedly.  When I soak the print head in the water, the water changes color.  I hope that I have accidentally hit the wrong part of print head when I removed it from the printer.  Please help, because it's my only other option when I can't access wifi to my portable device used for the printing of tickets, Groupons, etc..  Thank you!

Your printer requres all 4 cartridges to be present, that is why the printer tells you that the cartridges are missing can may not last.

Some newer model printers, which use the cartridges with integrated print heads, can operate with only the black cartridge only.

But the B209, separated print head and ink cartridges, if not all the cartridges are installed, the print head does not work.

  • HP Deskjet 3526: Received Message that ink "seems to be missing or damaged.

    Nice day.

I received the message in cartridge "seems to be missing or damaged.  I bought and installed

a new HP cartridge and the error message remains.  I tried blocking down and cutting off the current, but cannot

    do change.  Any ideas?

    Thank you

    George

    Hi @Gjedlicka1

Sounds like the cartridge and the printer does not communicate. I suggest to remove the cartridges and contacts metal bit wiping on the cartridges. Also take a look inside the printhead to see if there is any obvious damage where the cartridges sit in.

Here is a link to a document with instructions for troubleshooting (that's for a different model of printer than the one you have, but the recommended steps are the same): http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04313139

    Hope this helps, good luck

  • Printer Photosmart D7560: message 'ink cartridge problem '.

I received an alert of yellow ink.  I replaced the cartridge CORRECTLY, closed the access door and I had the 'ink cartridge problem' indicating the cartridge seems to be missing or damaged.    The cartridge is new and I reinstalled it 5 times already.  I unplugged the power cord - both ends.  I turned the machine and then turn it on again.  YET I still get the 1) 'ink cartridge problem', 2) the warning of ink and finally 3) the printer does not print.  Can someone help me?

The document here can help solve the cartridge error message on your Photosmart D7560 printer.  If the steps in the first three steps do not resolve the problem, you will probably need to replace the cartridge.  In this case, see here for cartridge guaranteed, assuming it's a HP cartridge.
