Ink cartridge message

The printer was working fine. I replaced the ink cartridge Cyan and received the following message:

"To print in color, install the following cartridge: Cyan...". To print in black ink only, click Black only... (the message will...). »

So I replaced it again and since I get the same message again and again whenever I try to print. I can print in black, but can not go on it. I replaced the cartridge, cleaned the print heads, cleaning cartridges, did power restart the printer and the laptop at the same time...

Any idea?

A good guy from HP Total Care, Mr. Kurt (I don't know his name), was in agreement with me until we found the solution. So simple, but you think about it until it's there. The solution, even for your problem, I guess, was to uninstall the printer software and reinstall it again. It worked and all is well now. Thank you all and good luck.

    Godsabode,

Thanks for trying my recommendation, I'm happy are you upward and printing! I wouldn't say that HP is crack down on the reloaded cartridges that you can use them in your printer, but HP does not guarantee the performance or quality of the reloaded cartridges.

To get a better understanding of take a look here: I can refill the ink in my HP ink cartridge?

Still, I recommend that you use genuine HP cartridges, if you are still having problems with the cartridges don't forget that they also have a guarantee.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: Damaged ink cartridge message

"" After the release of a paper jam, I have received messages to replace the ink - black, magenta, yellow - cartridges (which I did), then received message that the black cartridge "appears to be damaged"-it's genuine HP and straight out of the box. The level of the yellow cartridge is recognized by my computer but the magenta watch low (despite being also authentic HP, straight out of the box). I'm suspicious that the problem is with your printer, not the cartridges - ideas?

  • Impoverished of the ink cartridge message

I tried to print something on my OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus and I received a message that the cartridge was exhausted and must be replaced for me to print anything.  But the last page I printed came out very well, there was a lot of ink.

It sounds ridiculous.  Why HP is to decide that I don't have enough ink left?  Why not leave this decision to me?  If you want to warn the user that the impression could not come out well, it is very good, but why is there not a button 'print when even'?  In this way, I was able to print until I have, in my own opinion, think that the cartridge needs to be replaced.  Of course, it seems that HP makes it so I buy a new cartridge faster.

In any case, I need to print something now and I can't wait until I can get to the shop and buy a new cartridge.  Is there a way I can trick the printer in print anyway?  Or HP has just decided to do an impossible task for me, the customer?

    Thanks for any help.

The 8600 Officejet has separated from the inks and printheads.  To avoid damage to the print head, ink is required, and the printer hangs printing once the ink levels are too low.  See here for more information on how the ink is used.  The Officejet 8600 is an IIC printer in the vocabulary of this document.

Hello @Mikegaand welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

  • OfficeJet 6700 new Premium of evil with the ink cartridges... message arrives they are damaged

No product serial [under the direction of privacy] # CV078A

Setup of cartridges ran out of ink.  Bought a combo pack and replaced all of them at once.  Regularly we would get a message that one or more cartridges have been damaged.  It would remove the one at once and reinstall and it works again for a while, then the message would get back to the top.  After several types of this problem we started to replace each cartridge one at a time to try to isolate the damaged cartridge.  No luck.  Now we have two complete sets of ink cartridges and it still gives the message that a cartridge is damaged.  New message today is that transport of ink can not move and we should remove the obstruction and try again.  There is no obstruction.  When we close the door to the box the cartridge carriage move and made a loud BANG.  Looks like it moves to the left.  Then it will pass through its preparation and the message arrives that the one or more ink cartridges are damaged.  UGH!

Since your printer is under warranty I think contact you HP.  The coding Strip is fragile and it would be better to replace professionally if it was an option.

  • Ink cartridge Laserjet M1212nf MFP and I get error message "install black cartridge.

I have installed and reinstalled the ink cartridge black for my Laserjet M1212nf MFP and I get error message "install the black print cartridge.  I pointed out quite in the restart including manual online, the fact to unplug printer, etc..

    Help, please.

This error of "Install black cartridge" is usually caused by a piece of packaging material that remains on the cartridge. The document below should help you to solve the problem. If this does not work, try to do a hard reset. If neither works, let me know.

Toner blinking or 'Install black print cartridge' Message is displayed on the control panel:

  • "Black ink cartridge is not compatible with this printer" message - 56 HP deskjet 5552

I just replaced my HP 56 cartridge in my old printer HP Deskjet 5552 - I use an iMac & when I try to print, I get the message error "black ink cartridge is not compatible with this printer.

It makes no sense that I replaced the cartridge many times before without ever having a problem.

I have already returned a cartridge to the store where it was a problem with the cartridge itself, but the same thing happened with a second.

    Any suggestions gratefully received.

  • 8250 incorrect "date of expiration" and "Empty cartridge" message. Ink replaced but still the message.

I got the expired cartridge message on my Photosmart 8250 for a year or two, for 2 cartridges, even if the cartridges were of the date. Remove one of the offending cartridges and replace immediately seem to do the sorting.  Problem is one of the "expired" cartridges, Magenta, has finally shown as empty and reinstated. I get now both the message expired and the empty cartridge (for all new Magenta). The watch also still message has expired for the cartridge else I have to say is now quite old, but still has a lot of ink in it.

I gritted my teeth and to purchase 2 cartridges of spare yesterday, one to replace the old "expired" clear cyan and the other to replace magenta of replacement. The clear cyan expired message disappeared but the message re magenta is still show it as being expired, even if the dates printed on the two new magenta cartridges is 2014. I always get the message empty cartridge for both the first replacement magenta cartridge that I bought a few days ago, as well as for the second replacement I bought yesterday.

I have tried everything I can find mentioned in this forum to solve this problem, but have had no success. I have to assume that the printer has failed, or is there a fix for this problem?

If you have another cartridge, which could remove the error. You do not have to throw away your existing criteria, just put them in a ziplock bag in plastic and place them in a cool, wet - spot like a refrigerator. Change the cartridges and see if this removes the error message.

If you can try that let me know and I'll be right back with you!

    Have a wonderful day!

  • Photosmart Pro B9180: Exhausted ink with new cartridge message

I had 2 showing depleted, inks Light Cyan and Magenta, so I replaced them both.  After a bit of memorization and re - insert, I managed finally to get the LC to be accepted, but kept showing Magenta empty ink Replace cartridge. Finally I managed to get the printer to accept the cartridge by removing the yellow and magenta and the closing door ink cartridge so this printer it has advised both cartridges where either missing or damaged. I then re inserted the Magenta cartridge and closed the door and waited for the error message about the yellow show and then re-inserted cartridge yellow. The printer then went to the ready state. Hurrah! After a print test sheet and a couple of head cleans and then some photos on plain paper I tried to print on photo paper. At half way through printing the machine stopped and threw the message for the Magenta cartridge is exhausted. I cheated once again the printer twice to remove the yellow and magenta cartridge and put back as before. It has managed to get at the end of printing, which indicated that the heads remain a pure which I proceeded to do. Unfortunately the printer cannot again print throwing up the message that the Magenta cartridge was exhausted and needed replacement.

After doing a lot of research online, it seems it is a common problem, but what I failed to find are solutions even on the HP forum.

Is this a problem with the cartridge having questionable chips? Is this a problem with the printer, chiefs or general design?

I really need an answer that will prevent me from buying inks Dungeon I am wasting money. I have tried all resets as described in other posts here. Unfortunately once the exhausted ink message nothing different pose can be done as the printer all crashes.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

    Hello Jabzi,

an update on printer problems. Following your last message, that the printer has again stopped work while I followed your advice and tell me the magenta was exhausted that I knew, that it could not be. In any case, I decided that the cartridge must be defective, so I ordered a new one. The next day, waiting to get to the printer, I let on, ran his daily routine of maintenance and the problem corrected itself, is great. I ran a few prints which still showed heavy bands/bad colors, so I ran routines cleaning and alignment that has made the problem worse. What I noticed, is that the banding seemed to be linked to black ink and there are large gaps in the text. I changed the black photo that has been reading about 25% full I had read a similar post where someone had problems with a low black cartridge. I also pulled the print heads and thouroghly them cleaned manually. The two black print heads showed signs of ink muddy accumulate but color heads everything looked very clean. After cleaning and reinserting the heads the printer ran his routine alingment and produces best alignment prints that I had. I then printed the test page, was also excellent showing no missing text and three print heads that fell in fair condition were now show as good. Since then I've produced great prints.

That I summise from all this is that the problems seem to have stems printheads being blocked preventing ink flow and giving messages erroneous re cartridges is exhausted. Everything that was probably due to the printer being unused and left off for an extended period. Once the heads had been cleaned and enough ink has flowed to purge the ink heads has been lying in it for a period the printer was able to function properly.  At least I now have a spare cartridge magenta on-site as well as a printer to work.

I hope it's useful to anyone having similar problems.

    Thanks for your help

    Concerning

  • Ink cartridge incompatible cartridge message

I have a HP Officejet 3525 bought 1 year ago. I have chenged the original cartridges and replaced by 670 well worked cartridges.

Now the 670 cartridges are all weak and the ink needs to be replaced. I couldn't find a replacement 670 to staples or Best Buy here in Calgary so I used only the 564 black (3525 model is indicated on the packaging of the ink cartridge).

When I came home and replaced the 670 with 564 black, I received the message Incompatible cartridge.

Before replacing the 564 to best guy and try this again, can you tell me if this is the correct replacement for the 3525 cartridge? and if not what should I use for a replacement.

I use this printer on a Windows network 7/8 PCs and laptops.

    Thank you

Good and bad news. I got this information by myself and share it.

    GOOS NEWS:

HP may change the region associated with your printer if locally available for your model of printer ink cartridges can be used. (Why HP is this information easily available for this problem)

They cannot promise to repeat this step if you regularly move or happen shortly afterwards.

You must buy the cartridges available locally for your model and make install when HP communicates with you to perform localization. The reset process takes the data from the new cartridges and VOILA you are in service again

    Bad news:

Like my printer, if for some reason any printer accepts not all combinations of keys for reset of that regionalization can not be prformed and you will need to get a new printer available locally. Or, if under warranty, HP may choose to send you a replacement.

Given that the answer was not the person of HP in answer to my question here on the blog, I hope I have good answeted my question and help the person next to such a question.

  • Printer Photosmart D7560: message 'ink cartridge problem '.

I received an alert of yellow ink.  I replaced the cartridge CORRECTLY, closed the access door and I had the 'ink cartridge problem' indicating the cartridge seems to be missing or damaged.    The cartridge is new and I reinstalled it 5 times already.  I unplugged the power cord - both ends.  I turned the machine and then turn it on again.  YET I still get the 1) 'ink cartridge problem', 2) the warning of ink and finally 3) the printer does not print.  Can someone help me?

The document here can help solve the cartridge error message on your Photosmart D7560 printer.  If the steps in the first three steps do not resolve the problem, you will probably need to replace the cartridge.  In this case, see here for cartridge guaranteed, assuming it's a HP cartridge.
