laptop blue screening guard

I'm running win7 and from time to time I get the blue screen, it was shut off too quick to intercept the error on blue screen, but rather those that I managed to get was STOP: 0 x 00000124 (0x00000000, 0x860e9024, 0xe2000040, 0 x 00000800

I had my graphics card with some problems with appear as unable to begin that I managed to put down to the outdated driver, I installed a driver listed for mine and it seemed to solve this problem, but now the accidents began. I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670. I did tests antivirus without result, tried to run the windows tools to find and fix problems with no luck either.

as I was trying to post this laptop has crashed again, but this time the screen flashed red, green, blue, which baffled me completely because I never met it. I tried the system restore, but apparently this custom works because a file is not available, but it does not say that. I think he might be linked to the driver I installed, but im not sure, since installing it things work better with videos etc, but of course accidents began with her.

These are related to materials and called a BCC124.  Since she deducted "genuine Intel" I'd start with the CPU stress tests.  If you are overclocking STOP!

Stop 0 x 124 is a hardware error

If you are overclocking try to reset your settings to standard processor and see if that helps.

If you keep getting the BSOD here are things more than you may want.
This is usually hardware related, defective heat, memory or processor even if it is "possible" he is associated (rare) driver.

Stop 0 x 124 - what it means and what to try

Synopsis:
A "stop 0 x 124" is fundamentally different from many other types of bluescreens because it arises from a complaint of material.
Stop 0 x 124 minidumps contain very little concrete information, and it is therefore necessary to address the problem as a case of material in an unknown state of distress.

Generic troubleshooting ' Stop 0 x 124 ":

1) to ensure that none of the hardware components are overclocked. Material which is pushed beyond its design specifications - by overclocking - may malfunction in unpredictable ways.
(2) ensure that the machine is sufficiently cooled.
If there is doubt, open the side of the case (be aware of all the relevant conditions guaranteed!) PC and direct an electric fan squarely to the motherboard. Who will rule on most cooling problems (lack of).
3) update all drivers related to materials: video, sound, RAID (if applicable), NIC... anything that interacts with a piece of hardware.
It is best to run the latest drivers anyway.
(4) update the BIOS of your motherboard according to the manufacturer's instructions and clear CMOS.
Their website should provide detailed instructions on the brand and model-specific procedure.
(5) rarely, bugs in the operating system may cause "false positives" 0 x 124 events where the hardware wasn't complaining, but Windows thought otherwise (because of the bug).
At the time of writing, Windows 7 does not have to suffer from a defect, but it is nevertheless important to keep Windows up-to-date.
6) trying (stress) test these hardware components that can be put to the test artificially.
The most obvious examples are the RAM and HDD (s).
For the RAM, use the 3 rd-party memtest86 utility to run several hours a test value. (6-8 passes to stress the ram)
For hard drives, verify if CHKDSK /R finds any problems on (s), including "bad sectors".

Unreliable RAM, in particular, is mortal, as well as software, and anything other than a 100% clear memory test result is cause for concern. Unfortunately, even a 100% clear result the diagnostic utilities does not guarantee that the RAM is free of any defect - only that none have been encountered during the test passes.
7) as the last of the non-invasive troubleshooting steps, perform a "Vanilla" Windows reinstallation: just the OS itself without additional applications, games, utilities, updates, new drivers - or ANYTHING that does not come from the Windows 7 disc.
Who stops working mitigate the problem of the 0 x 124, jump to the next step.
If you run the "Vanilla" installation long enough to convince yourself that not a single 0 x 124 accident occurred, start installing applications and updates slowly, always stopping between successive additions long enough to get an idea of the question if the machine is still free of 0 x 124 breaks down.
Smash back, obviously the latest addition of software may be somehow connected to the root cause.
If the stop error 0 x 124 persist despite the above steps, and the equipment is under warranty, consider to go back and ask for a replacement that does not suffer periodic MCE events.
Be aware that want to perform the subsequent hardware troubleshooting steps can, in some cases, void your warranty:
(8) clean and carefully remove the dust inside the machine.
Reinstall all memory modules and connectors.
Use a can of compressed air to clean the RAM DIMM supports as much as possible.
(9) If all else fails, start removing items of hardware one by one in the hope that the culprit is something non-essential that can be eliminated.
Obviously, this type of testing is much easier if you have access to equivalent components in order to perform swaps.

If you are in the situation to have completed all the steps above without a resolution of the symptom, unfortunately the most likely reason is that the error message is literally correct - something is fundamentally wrong with the hardware of the machine.

  • Error KeyCrypt64.sys with Comcast constant blue screen guard all modes in Windows 7

I am quite experienced with computers and have worked as a technicial since Windows 3.1. I can usually understand something with enough research, but I'm here stummped. It is useful that I took out most of the work of tech and went into programming full-time about 6 years ago.

In any case, I tried to first Windows 8 Windows 7 upgrade. I used the downloaded installer. It seems to be okay, but I'm excited and made the rookie mistake trying to update too much my apps before the next redΘmarrage - even if they had not, to my recollection, asked to reset. Now, all I get is a blue screen showing INTERRUPT_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. I finally found the way to get into safe mode, and it does the same thing. Here are the relevant details:

    • Windows 8 Pro x 64
    • in place upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium x 64
    • Laptop HP dv6 - 2173cl
    • 4 GB of RAM, about 500 GB disk with about 90 GB free space remaining

Here's what I stupidly installed without rebooting:

    • Comcast keeps constant (using Norton 360 and other tools), including, apparently, an AntiLogger

First of all, the blue screen appears on the monitor secondary extrnal while that the Windows logo appears on the laptop itself.
Second, the complete error message is "INTERRUPT_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (KeyCrypt64.sys). I tried even to rename the folder I found KeyCrypt64.sys from C:\program files (x 86) \KeyCryptSDK to KeyCryptBAD doesn't let me enter the system in safe mode or other means.  Having critical files that I can't save any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just had to fix HP Elitebook my aunt with Win 7 x 64 and constant guard.  Restore points was far enough to solve the problem.  I really hate to reboot the computer, so I spent ten minutes on this one and had it work without too much trouble.  These steps require some special computer knowledge, a mouse external USB and a keyboard and another computer to work - so you may need to ask a friend to help.  But if you follow these instructions, I see no reason why you can not facing up and running without delay.

As the BSOD gave us the name of the driver, I decided to rename it.  You can use a CD or bootable USB key, but since I have the tools I just removed the hard drive and connected on another computer.

    1) go to the folder \Windows\System32\Drivers on the disk with the BSOD problem

    (2) rename keycrypt64.sys to something like keycrypt64.sy ~ (that's the main culprit - part of constant guard)

    (3) rename hpqkbfiltr.sys in hpqkbfiltr.sy ~ (I had to do this one because after step 2, I got a BSOD for this driver.  This inadvertently disabled the touchpad and keyboard on the EliteBook, so I had to plug in a keyboard and a USB mouse)

    (4) connect a keyboard and an external USB mouse

    (4) reinstall the disk hard if you deleted it, or just reboot if you renamed the files in other words

    (5) uninstall the program telling guard from the Control Panel, programs and features

    (6) restart

    7) return to \Windows\System32\Drivers and rename hpqkbfiltr.sy ~ in hpqkbfiltr.sys

    (8) unplug your USB external mouse and keyboard and restart

That's all.  Quick and easy for me, I hope this will help you too.

I will not go into the details on constant guard program that was installed as part of the 'free' software with Norton, who provided his ISP, Comcast.  There are many resources on the Comcast forums.  And from 04/02/2013 I saw a post on the forums that says the problem has been fixed, but I'm not going to tempt fate and reinstall the constant guard.

  • Pavilion dm4t laptop: Blue Screen of Death

Error blue screen says that attempt to reset display drivers and recover from timeout failed. It is said to disable memory options such as caching or shadowing the BIOS.

Occasionally, I get the blue screen when I try to open jpeg files that are on my hard drive.  This started to happen when I went bact to Windows 7 from Windows 10.  My external monitor did not work when it is connected to the USB port replicator docking station.  It is not recognized.  I have to connect it directly to the port on the computer.  I don't know that these questions are related.  I copied the text of the blue full screen if it would help.

I reinstalled several system updates on the HP download site, but I still get the blue screen.

I ran the Advanced HP 4.2.5.0 System Diagnostics and passed all the tests.  However, I could not update the BIOS.  I have a BIOS date 21/01/2013 F.0C REV.

When I restart the computer in normal mode of Windows everything works... for a while.

  • HP 635 computer laptop blue screen at startup.

I have important files on this laptop and while playing music this phone randomly cuts. I turned it back on and now ot support windows 7 in a few seconds and finally crashes with a blue screen.

Then, I rebooted it and tried safe mode only to have nothing works. I tried to use ubuntu which usually works to remove the files that I need except the disk was not yet recognized until I chose to uninstall and do otherwise. I tried the recovery of windows 7 and it remains to do for some time and fails. I stuck inside another computer and for some reason any, it wouldn't start up, unless I plugged it in after that he began to start. This drive has never recognized. I finally tried new installation windows 7 as a last resort, but he then told me that it can not install the disk.

I run hp diagnostics and I get 'Hard drive failure 1.' Is it possible possible to recover my files and get a new HDD without having to pay a ton of money to get everything back?

    HI Jeffreylbrown94:

Thank you for your message.  I'm happy to help!

I understand that you are getting the error 'Hard drive 1 fault.'.  This refers to a defect on the hard drive. I'll send "Troubleshooting Error Messages on a blue screen may occur during startup or Boot"  click here. You could try a Google search for some free or cheap data recovery software to recover your files.

Thanks for the return of the answer!  To disable automatic reboot, this will prevent her to stop and I hope you will see messages or error codes.

Regarding the response of Vinod N, you have attemtempted to try the method above 2?  There are several steps to try and would like to know the status.   I would try to start your computer in Mode safe mode to see if you encounter the same problems.

    Hello

The model number of the laptop is Equium M37-337 PSM77E-00L00MAV

the research on the web I see that it is a graphics problem.
When the laptop starts it will go int Windows and then crash with a blue registration screen above. It lasts only about half a second and then machine will just a black screen and nothing else.
I am able to power down the laptop by pressing the power button for several seconds. When I try to reboot, he returned to the State of the black screen.
If I fail the laptop for somre time (say 30 minutes), it is up to the the Windows startup, then sequence blue screen black screen.

I tried to boot into windows safe mode, but a similar incident occurs (even if sometimes it's just the machine locked up with some fine black lines on the screen.

Is the "graphics" card edge broke? Is it a common problem with this model? Is it economically repairable?

    Thank you
    Chris

    Hello

What I would recommend would be first to perform a recovery of product on the machine. Baring in mind that all data you have on the laptop will be lost in doing this; It is imperitave that you back up your data first before going to come with it.

The reason why I'm saying you should do it is first of all if the repair see this as a software problem, and if you have some extended warranties on the laptop, you will be charged (although this may be the case anyway). In addition, discovering in mind if recovery of product does not resolve the problem then you could save yourself a lot of time with waiting for repairs.

As I know he is has no problems experienced with this machine where the graphics are concerned, and this isn't something I've heard of this model. Regarding economic repair, I would first have a quote on the phone. I know that it would cost A? Â £35 but if the cost of repair is within your budget and less expensive than a new unit, then that will be better for you.

Unfortunately there is no way of knowing what will be the cost of repair, that repairs are done in a specalist repair center, which is very far from here. You will need to be sent first for a quote before you know.

    I hope this helps,

    Kind regards

  • HP 15-g011nr Notebook PC: laptop does not start. Blue screen then reset

Hello. I am trying to help a friend fix his laptop. for some reason, when starting normally, it will start with a black screen for a good few minutes or so the HP logo will appear with the circles spinning or waiting. After that what seems to be a good 5 minutes it will blue screen. the error reads something like "error loading operating system" or something, but I can't read it because it appears for one second before the reset and start the process again.

I discovered that pressing ESC over and over to the right as I turn it on it will give me options to restore the system and devices to boot, but it does not help much at all. I try to use the CD of windows on it and it does nothing, I even tried to use the CD via a bootable flash drive and nothing. of course, it will say usb IS bootable but when I select it it gives me the HP loading screen and then a black screen. I even tried to wait an hour to see if it is just loading, but nothing.

If anyone has had this problem with this laptop and if so do you know if there is a way to fix it? Thanks in advance.

    HI @Rabidmedia,

  • Satellite Pro L500 - press Fn key blocks the laptop computer to blue screen

    Hi all
First post so please ask if I did not include all the necessary information.

I have the Satellite Pro L500-1TX (Win 7 32 bit os) and everything worked fine including the Fn menu drop-down button.

Now, whenever I press the Fn key, it blocks the laptop to a blue screen. The computer then restarts automatically and that it was an unplanned shutdown offers the usual safe mode option.

Unfortunately, I do not know when this started as I do not use the fn often hesitate so just do a system restore. I don't know how far back to go. It was several weeks before I associated accidents hit the Fn key.

Any suggestions as to which Toshiba drivers may need to be reinstalled. The computer otherwise works fine.

    Cheers in advance

  • Satellite P300 guard crashing and giving me blue screens

    Hello

I got a Satellite P300, running on Windows Vista home premium and its provided with a card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650.
My laptop crashes and send me windows and blue screens said that it is the cause of ls my graphics driver and the eror message is Atikmdag.
I've tried everything (I think), I re - installed windows but what I had to do a restore with the current settings, because in some cd a little way my F8 function does not work so I couldn't restore my windows from my hard drive.
I also had the latest Ati drivers, it does not help either, I also re-installed and tried to run my laptop on windows drivers, it doesn't help either.

I don't really know what to do, can anyone help me please?

Are you sure you're running video drivers downloaded from a site of Toshiba? Unfortunately the drivers may not be the root of the problem, so it is important to eliminate as the cause. How to remove AMD recommended driver is [http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/GPU57RemoveOldGraphicsDrivers.aspx] and if you follow that with an installation of drivers Toshiba, then your laptop must be in a State also provided

I would recommend that you look at this [how to troubleshoot display driver stopped responding and has recovered, errors of type ATIKMDAG.sys | http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/737-27116RadeonSeries-ATIKMDAGhasstoppedrespondingerrormessages.aspx]
