Photosmart HP 3310

When I print on copy the printed page leaves a vertical line on it. I have cleaned the glass on the scanner and printer unplugged but still leaves a single vertical line on the printed page.

When you unplugged the printer were you running a full power drain?

Current drain:

Unplug the printer when turned on

Disconnect the other end of the power cord to the power source

* Separate the power cord from the power supply (brick in the middle of the rope)

* Wait a minute

* Plug the printer back to

In addition, this printer is connected to a surge protector or a direct wall outlet?  Try to connect on a direct socket if the device is not already connected to one.  Sometimes a surge protector can cause this kind of problem in scanning/copying.

Thus check the steps in the document is here.  The document covers troubleshooting when a unit product lines or streaks in the copies/scans.

  • All-in-one Photosmart HP 3310: black printing in odd rows

    Hello

I have had this printer for almost 6 years and never had a problem with it until this last week. My impression started out as below:

As you can see, the colors are fine, but black seems to be coming out in lines. As the black cartridge was almost empty, I replaced it and received the same impression. I replaced that one (just in case the cartridge was defective) and received the same impression.

My printer is out of warranty; I tried to clean the print heads and align the printer several times over the last week and nothing has changed. In fact, every print I do has the same meaning (even thickness, same color, same type [dotted, lined, etc.], in the exact same places every time, which is interesting.

I tried the reset of the printer (pulling on the power cord for 15 to 30 seconds, and then reconnecting), alignment and clean the print heads in the printer menu, and then on the menu in my Mac, and I tried to get the number online (here and here), but came to nothing.

I'm currently located in the United States, in Arizona. I understand that it is an older printer, so I may end up having to replace, but I was hoping someone might have a suggestion.

    Thank you

    Hey @TheLastDuchess,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are having problems of black print quality when printing HP Photosmart 3310 all-in-one printer. I first want to thank you for all the details you provide me in your message. I see you've already replaced the black cartridge twice, cleaned and aligned the print head several times and reset the printer nothing helps. Unfortunately at this time, it sounds like you have a defective system of the print head. The printhead in the unit model is not replaceable part. It reads the cartridges and ink to go on the control document. If this part in case of failure to replace the entire unit would be necessary. According to all the steps that you have already tried, at the moment, you have exhausted the troubleshooting steps. I don't want you to run one more cleans away from your printhead system because it uses no ink in order to rinse the ink for cleaning system. The rule is generally, if cleans 2-3 make no difference, not to go forward with more clean as you will just waste ink.

At that time, I suggest that you contact our Technical Support by phone team to explore additional options.

  • HP Photosmart AIO 3310 and 6250 printers - roller cleaning

    Hello:

We have two HP Photosmart all-in-One (AIO) inkjet color.

    (1) 3310

    (2) 6250

They both take the same type of printer HP (02) cartridges.

Internal printers alike... the way the smaller rolls - and the largest main-roller rooms.

The ink cartridges are fixed in place and are far from rolls.

They are not lying in a basket that runs through the length of the main roller.

How do the hail-and-hand several roller cleaning when globs streaks & and/or appear on printed documents?

Each ink cartridge can be removed and cleaned separately, but how do I clean the rollers?

I don't see any release mechanism that would allow the roller Assembly to be removed and cleaned.

The rolls can be rotated manually on site without disturbing the other things, like the alignment or synchronization?

    Thank you

    DaleB

I'm sorry that you are having this problem with your printers. Here a link to a document on how to clean the rollers on the Photosmart 6520. He advised a do spin the reels manually in step 4 of the document.  Also, I am providing a link to a document that deals with images streaked in this printer that you can use to solve the problem of image beyond quality to just clean the rollers.

The Photosmart 3310 lacks a separate document dedicated to the roller cleaning as the printer you have. Solution 4 of this document will show you how to clean the rollers of this machine. He will advise manually rotate you also the rollers in this product too. After cleaning, I'd have the printer clean the cartridges in the menu on the front panel.  I hope this helps.

  • All-in-one HP Photosmart 3310: 2 HP inkjet printers different... same problem

The time which was formerly set via the network apparently to I remember ever setting the time on one or the other. Today, I noticed for the first time that both of the printer are turned off as follows:

HP Photosmart 3310 all-in-One - Time is 19:43 locally the printer indicates 19:12 (thirty minutes slow).

HP Photosmart Premium Fax C309a series - time is 19:43 locally the printer indicates 19:35 (slow 8 minutes).

Two of these printers previously seemed auto-sync the time on the display panel. Is it possible that my ISP has started to block the NTP port or something?

Hmm, no, I just connected to 0.pool.ntp.org via ntpdate on my linux machine, and he was not blocked. So it's something on these printers has gone wobbly.

    Hi @tcagle53,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support with your request for time to printer.

I understand that you have 2 printers and a HP Photosmart 3310 HP Photosmart Premium Fax, and each printer is showing incorrect. I would like to help.

The printer usually have the user set the time and Date when the printer is in the configuration. Sometimes things like power outages or to unplug the printer can cause time to read properly.

You can set the time to the correct time using the printer control panel.

To set the time on the HP Photosmart 3310 device:

To set the time on the HP Photosmart Premium Fax:

    1. press on the installation program button.

    2. press the button arrow down to select Preferencesand then press OK.

    3. press the down arrow button to select the Date and timeand press OK.

I was not aware of the printers synchronization automatically at the time of the computer, but sometimes the built-in Web server (EWS of the printer) will have a setting "Synchronize with the time on the PC" that can be selected if the printer is used on a network.

Once the built-in Web server is in charge there should be a tab somewhere near the top of the window.  If you click on Date and time parameters should be able to be selected on the left side. If the sync option of the printer with the computer time is available it usually a checkbox to check before you click apply. Printer not all have this option.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

Indeed, if this help you to achieve a solution please click the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

I recently bought a new computer (windows 10).  On my old computer, I used the center of HP solutions a little with my HP Photosmart 3310 printer.  When I try to load the software on the new computer, I get the installation screen, which says: select install to begin the installation of your new HP device.  But the only option is to exit.  It is not a Setup button.  I hunted for it for hours without success.  Y at - it a setup that works, or am I just out of luck.

    Hello

In devices and printers click right-click the printer and select remove device, then disconnect the USB if it is still attached.

Then download and install the software below and check differences:

    Hello

My printer Photosmart 3310 scanner was working fine, but I recently had to reinstall the HP Solution Center software.

Now the solution Center can not find my printer on the LAN.

    • I can connect to the printer via its IP address and see all the information about the printer and scan
    • Printing and scanning doctor can find the printer
    • Windows can see the printer and print

But the HP Solution Center can not find the printer to install it, even when I type the IP address of the printer in the 'wired network' installation part of the Setup program.

I used the latest version of the HP Photosmart and Officejet full feature software and drivers (August 2015).

I don't know what else to do to try to get the HP Solution Center to find my pronter, I disabled the firewall, I tried to connect wireless and USB, but nothing seems to get the solution center to recognize my printer.

    Hello divegirlusa,

I recommend that you try to run our utility Scan for diagnosis. The utility runs a number of tests, but especially, it performs a test designed to help with no option of scan of façade. The utility is on your product on HP.com support page, or you can simply follow this link.

  • -settings of the scanner Photosmart 3310

Where the HP Photosmart 3310 stores the settings of the scanner? I am running Windows 7 and may need to reinstall my OS, but I spent a lot of time tweaking the settings that I use for scanning and hate not to be able to save them somehow so I can reinstall them without having to play the 'hit and miss' again.

In fact, I tried to help another poster with the same problem.  They found the path itself and was kind enough to post it for everyone.  The path for you will be a little different, but it should be close.  Herethe post.

  • HP Photosmart 3310 all-in-one does not print print test page doe but doesn't show is not black

I have a printer all-in-one HP Photosmart 3310 that does not correctly print a test page (print color but not black) and does not print a WORD document from my computer.  The color that should be black in the test page after CLEANING print head appears as a Purple-ish Brown, although after the PRINTER SNAP the printed page shows a short BLACK bar to the left of the five longer bars in FIVE COLORS.  The computer in use is a HP Pavilion dv7 with processor Intel Core i7-3610QM, 2.3 GHz, Ram 8. 0 GB (7.9 GB available), 64-bit and Win 7 Home Premium OS, SP1.

After having downloaded HP Print and Scan doctor, we arrived, after a series of steps to "If the cartridges have been refilled and none is empty, try calibration of color": Open HP Solution Center (start, all programs, HP, HP Solution Center), then click on settings, settings, printer Toolbox, printing on the tab device Services, click on color to calibrate.  This procedure is NOT AVAILABLE, however, because I can't find the HP Solution Center.

What should I try to fix this problem?  Please be specific - and please also include any recommendations for a remedy that is exactly what happens if something must be verified or checked before trying the recommended remedy.

Since the last post, I repeated the test several in Solutions of HP.  Whenever I have repeated the procedure clean print heads, improve the quality of printing in black ink a little bit.  After several passages of this test, maybe 5 or 6 more and separated by some rest of the time, the quality of printing in black ink has reached the State that I consider finally acceptable.

A variable that I can't rule out or rule through all this is the temperature and the humidity.  It has been a winter VERY exceptionally difficult, with a lot more than zero days and subzero temperatures.  And with that comes challenges with the indoor humidity (even if we have the whole House humidification).

In all cases, the printer now works without problem.  And I'll post that I accept the solution most recently proposed by the HP Forum.

  • duplex - orientation (PhotoSmart 3310)

I must be overlooking a simple adjustment...

I have a PhotoSmart 3310 with installed two-sided printing accessory. I use it as a network printer for computers running Windows XP and Vista.

The problem (as I remember) after printing a document in Microsoft Word and XP the other day and happens now that I started printing the Vista one. There was no initially.

I want to print a multiple-page document, a page per side of a sheet. portrait orientation, the "left liaison" - I mean: headers on both back to back. But everything I try, he (or rather a dummy to save ink document, I created) is printed "binding high" - I want to say: the header on one side is back to back with the foot on the other side.

Print a five page booklet goes as planned.

What setting would I be dominant?

    Thanks in advance!

    Chris
