Photosmart HP 6520: MY HP Photosmart 6520 not print or copy in black

I went on this forum and tried EVERYTHING. New cartridges (always use HP) cleaning printhead two online and with warm water and papertowels/qtips.  Re loaded drivers.  Nothing... and I don't even know why...

Well if you have tried everything on HP website and checked out all the Youtube videos and removed and cleaned the printhead without result.

Your printer is toast.

HP Photosmart c4780 not print or copy in black. Color seems to print OK. Both cartridges display complete. Problem started after an error message appears that says he has been a failure of the black cartridge. I replaced the black cartridge with a new one.  Alignment printed with only the page surface color - no black areas. Took test page of the HP utility and still printed with surfaces of color only - no black areas. Tried to make a black copy directly on the printer and it acted like it was printing, but just put a page of the Bank. Alignment has tried once again, cleaned heads and a reset (disconnect), but doesn't change anything.  Even after replacing the cartridge completely black again with another new black cartridge, it will still not print from the computer or make a copy of the all-in-one in black.

  • HP Deskjet 2512: HP Deskjet 2512 not print or copy in black but the color of the works very well

Help, please. New cartridge. I remove the plastic. It is authentic HP inks. The works of fine color but black wont print or copy and that's what I use most. Aggrivating.

Sorry it took so long to respond, but whenever I clicked on the link for the doctor to printing and scanning, it says the page has no load but, at random, he began to print in black. I printed the first screen of our conversation, just on the off chance that he himself and it printed fine so I tried a few other documents and all is good-to-go. Thanks a lot for your help! I'll be sure to mark my issue as resolved. Thank you!

  • Photosmart Plus B210a print or copy black

My B210a Photosmart more to print or copy in black mode 'Copy' or 'Print PC'. Black cartridge is almost new and has worked for 2 weeks; color cartridges are between 25% and 33% of ink left. Colors will be printed, and there is no error message. Wireless printer works from a PC with Windows Vista.

    Help, please.

Hi, if the printer is on a thing of warranty that may be worth soaking the print head...

    (1) get a pan and put 1/2 "of very hot (not boiling) water in the bottom.
    (2) remove all ink cartridges, then remove the print head Assembly.
    (3) gently put the printhead nozzles down in water and soak for 5 minutes.
    (4) remove the print head and gently dry the electrical contacts.
    (5) replace the print head in the printer and then reinstall the ink cartridges.

  • F4135 print on screen, but will not print a copy of the glass

I can not print a copy of a copy, but it can print from the screen image. How can I fix it? He started just after working well for a while.

I'm glad that you were able to get your printer to start to make a copy once again, Muzzik.  If this proposal does not work, first check all your ink levels.  Black test consists of all colors that come together to make black.  It is a process that occurs when you print from your PC.  The letter 'e' indicates error with your photo in black and.  It could also mean your ink cartridge door is open according to the document below, but then it would print at all if that was the case.

Let me know if you have problems with your ink cartridge.  I hope this helps!

Lately, I've used my printer for black and white and now it will not print or copy in true colors. I have reset the printer and run the diagnostic software several times, and there is no error message. However, my test and alignment pages are fine. It is connected to the USB port. Can anyone help?

Well, problem solved. Installed new ink cartridges and clean the ink tray with acetone. Although, I have had enough of the old cartridges ink, I don't understand why it wouldn't work.

My HP officejet 6500 will not print in colour without black.  I tried to run diagnostics, turning on/off, changing the cartridge, mop up the cart - ink, withdrawal and the cartridges, printing a test page.  All to nothing does not.

I continued to deepen the forum and found what was a soluntion for me.  I went to the configuration selected, then went to tools, it chose and then select printhead cleaning.  The first time that he clean the printhead, I only got six rectangles colored at the bottom of the test page printed.  My screen then asked if I wanted to get another clean process and I said YES.  Low and behold, the test print page not only the FCMA out with 6 colored rectangles but also tons of alphabets in black.  Hooray! His works again.  Hope this works for you.

I found some additional info - it is not the printer, this is the files I tried to print in PDF Viewer that I used!

    1. the records were not print correctly from Apple previewed, but printed fine via Adobe Reader.

    2. I was able to print other PDF files in color at Apple Preview, but not this particular batch of files designed (letterhead, envelopes, business cards, etc.).

Thus, a). There is a problem with the batch of files, in conjunction with b). using Apple Preview to view & print these files. Strangest thing I've ever seen. :-/  But at least it isn't a problem with my printer. Thanks for the follow-up, Ciara.

  • My HP Photosmart C5180 all-in-one will not print text correctly in black, color print very well.

My HP Photosmart C5180 all-in-One does not print black without be eliminated text or streaks in the text. Will print fine text color.

Have tried all the "patches" you list and much more. The printer prints fine on my old PC Windows XP and worked fine on my

new PC using Windows 7 until recently.

Please don't tell me to... Reinstall, download the new driver, install the new cartridge, clean align the print heads, different paper or go to 'solutions '... Etc... Etc.  I HAVE ALREADY BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT!

Everything you "patches" end with 'the unit of service... " WHAT IN THE WORLD WHAT THAT MEANS!

This has been a nice printer for more than 5 years, but is somewhat glitch spoil me when using the BLACK INK?

    Gordon,

Thanks for the reply, expecting not one, but what you say is all that we need to buy another printer if we did all the "fixes", etc... etc. you know that take a printer to a repair shop will cost more

    then buy a new one.

It was stupid of saying me to check on the warraty of HP page when I already told you that the unit is 5 years old.

But don't thank you for the reply... even if it was a joke!
