  So I created a user account with administrator rights because I had problems with other accounts of user download of malware and viruses on my computer.  Unfortunately, I've changed the password one night when I was very tired and now draws a complete blank on what it might be.  Time has passed and I have tried everything I can think enough to know that I'm up a Creek trying to remember this password.  After that some searching around, I learned to start safe mode to access the hidden administrator account, which does NOT produce the hidden administrator account.  Then I read about access to the cmd as administrator, but that doesn't work either because he asks me the password I don't remember.  If I try to run cmd with "net users administrator / Active: Yes", receives a message indicating "system error 5 has occurred, access denied.  Same thing if I try to enter "net user *", and then click the password twice to clear it.  I know that I have set up with administrator access the user account is different than construction administrator b/c if I go 'lusrmgr.msc' in the search/run box on the start menu, then clicking on 'users' I can see that they are two separate accounts.  When I click with the right button on the built in Admin and select Properties, it shows a check in the box "account is disabled".  If I uncheck this box, I gives me the error message "access denied."  If I try to go the other route and check the "account is disabled" on the user account that I set up with administrator access, I gives me the same error.  If I try to delete the setting of administrator group of the user account that I set up with administrator access I'm access denied once again.  All this is considered... other ideas or tips? I read somewhere that apparently since I created a user to have admin access, hidden admin is disabled by windows automatically for safety.  I really hope this isn't the case!  I'm very hesitant to use a tool to reset password to a third party if I have to, but I'm running out of options and it's been months.  I appreciate any help, tips, reviews, etc.  Thank you!

  I have this trading program full license (TMPGEnc MPEG Smart Renderer 4.2) who has worked on my Win7/64 for several months, and in recent weeks, has become excruciatingly slow for every user interaction (but not for real computing), making it essentially unusable (1'30 to launch vs 3 normally, 30 "seconds waiting to launch a 'new project' vs.)<1s normally,="">

  When 'pending' launch application or respond to a command, 12% of the full CPU (8 logical cores on CPU Core i7 third Gen) is used by a single process: the offending application (look at the Task Manager, 1 logical core is used to +/-80%, a second for about 15% of this process). All other processes are still at 0% CPU usage.

  Of course, I tried & tested many things including full-/ re-installation of the application with a careful cleaning etc., corresponding registry entries software disabling AV (Avira free), .net Framework Repair Tool, etc... no change! The disc has been checked and is OK.

  Some interesting tips:

  This app worked fine for several months before the problem started abruptly a few weeks; I tried to uninstall .net Framework 4.5 updates to a date prior to the date of beginning of apparent problem, does not; I came back to an earlier version of the offending software: no change.

  But the most interesting observation is that the app works well at the launch of any other user account on the same machine Win7/64 (whether with the normal credentials or admin), so for me that means there should be no conflict of software on the computer, only something in my profile of the main user who causes the app behave so slowly.

I receive no request for pw.  This occurs despite the Macs with different user pw. I went to keychain in public services and did ' t see the pw of file sharing, so I guess they are in iCloud keychain.  All 3 Macs have the same username and the same iCloud account, and I have iCloud Keychain selected on all 3 Macs.  Potential problems would be if someone stole my cell phone when I signed to or if someone at work was playing with my computer after hours - they can then access my home computer (or vice versa). If it is stored in iCloud Keychain, so I don't see an obvious way to change.  So I disabled the option of trousseau in iCloud in system preferences on my laptop, not saved in keychain to my Mac and restarted; When I tried to access my home Mac, it helped to connect without my pw but I have noticed that at the top of the window, text says 'connected as [email protected]'- real username omitted here.  Is anyway to avoid this short of having each Mac journal on an account different iCloud (then would lose Sync calendars etc.).
