T61 double failure monitor

I use a Lenovo T61 with WinXP.  This problem is a little strange and long.

LONG VERSION:

I usually work at home, and instead to turn off my computer for the commute to work, I put my laptop mode "Eve".  When I get to work, I'll usually put my laptop in the dock, back at the top of the screen and exit mode "Eve".  When I do this, only the monitor external kicks on.  When I try to extend my screen laptop for two monitors, laptop monitor accepts the change, the resolution has resized, then turns off.

SHORT VERSION:

Dual screen on the laptop screen will not allow when I anchor my computer from sleep mode.

Thanks for reading!

Well, if someone already has this problem, I actually thought about it while closing at home today.  If you lower the monitor down just before closing, the screen will flicker off the coast to the laptop and then open upward, and she seems to be able to go dual monitor mode after that.

Strange... or maybe I'm just odd!

  • Double connection monitor with HP H8 - 1360T

Just got a new HP H8 - 1360T with a Radeon HD7570 video card. I have two monitors with DVI and VGA inputs on them. They were both used with an older Dell dual mode. Unfortunately the double with the Dell adapter cable has a male end LFH59 (all pins) that will not connect the HP H8 - 1360T.  Is it as simple as getting the right cable? I see some references/DVI-I single and double as well as DVI - D single and double. I want to extend my desktop on two monitors. Can what adapter cable I get? Thanks for your help.

    Hello

You said that the monitors DVI so use a native DVI cable to a monitor, and then a DVI cable to HDMI to the other monitor.

To eliminate any problems check each monitor, one at a time on each port to make sure everything works before moving on to the next step.

  • I want to get caught in charge double external monitor for my MBP with Win7 on Fusion, what should I buy?

Forgive me if this is clear somewhere in the communities.  I have indeed searched it in addition to Google and I can't find a clear answer.

I have a 15 "MacBook Pro (aluminum Unibody 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo w / 4 GB RAM with backlit keyboard black) running VMware Fusion 3.1 and Windows 7 x 64 as a guest in Unity Mode operating system.  I have two screens beautiful external LCD on my desk.  I want to be able to run both of them with this software/hardware configuration.  To do this, I bought a USB to DVI DisplayLink solution by Diamond (as the MBP had only a single mini-DisplayPort port) in order to be able to control the 2nd external monitor.

I noticed that when I added the USB to DVI for mixing with the latest DisplayLink drivers (it is the time where I was running VMware Fusion 3.0), it works, but not very reliable and it would break my Win7 x 64 VM or cause other weird problems too much.  I have had no other problems with this configuration in addition to VMware fusion.  As long as I wasn't trying to run a virtual machine with the merger, the USB to DVI external worked very well.   However, given the choice to have a 2nd external monitor or VM support, I had no other choice than to loop and choose VMware on the adapter.  Well, I took it on the mixture so I went back to the adapter.

I got the notice that VMware Fusion 3.1 is available with tons of bugs and it whet my appetite again for the glory of two external monitors, so I upgraded to it yesterday.

Is someone can you please tell me exactly what I need to buy to get the reliable support of two external monitors in this environment?

And please don't say no double or Triple head to go by Matrox.  I don't mean for this set of compromise.

Besides solutions Matrox, my only choice seems to be somehow supporting this additional monitor via Ethernet, Firewire or USB.  I want to know what are sanctioned for this solutions are supported by VMware (i.e. you tell me what to buy...) I'll buy it... and it works... works very well).

I support Mac and PC systems.  It's a complete joke that anyone would try to convince me that Mac has better bi-ecrans support.

To the extent where what is the best solution for businesses.  The need to install a virtual Mac on a PC machine was never even considered because it is not necessary in the world of business.  I can't say that on Mac.

I'm the guy who went to take care of both in a business environment.  Your brilliant mac sounds really cool, but it is a major pain in my butt and should be confined to a domestic environment.

Screwed as far as home users, my Mac friends never call me on the East of their computer from viruses.  I like this very well on Mac at home.  But which probably has more to do with the fact that it is not profitable to write a virus for the Mac platform.

  • HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF: HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF: using VGA and DisplayPort simultaneously for double configuration monitor

If the title says it all. I'm trying to set up two monitors on my HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF. Here is my configuration:

    1. first monitor (Acer B223W) lights DisplayPort and displays things normally.

    2. second monitor (HP LP2065) is on the VGA port.

The problem is that my second port monitor never gets a signal from the machine and going to sleep mode. Connect the second monitor changes my main screen at a desk empty (no icons, no taskbar, just a plain painted paper), which I believe means it tries to use my VGA monitor as main display.

However, the VGA monitor never seems to show anything. I spent my main screen on the first monitor successfully too, but is not all about him either.

You can use two ports, you should test if a dvi - d to hdmi connection will work.

Sometimes a source dvi-d does support hdmi - if you already have a monitor, just test it.

  • Double U2515H monitors the 1440 p (2560 x 1440) questions

    Hello

I just bought 2 new 25 "U2515H monitors x. I wanst able to run 1440 p HDMI/DVI, so I updated my graphics card to a Gigabyte 960 GTX 4 GB card which has 3 display Ports.

I am now under my monitors through mini-DP DP on my 960 GTX, using the cable supplied with the monitors.

My problem is that I can't get a monitor be 1440 p, when I put the other monitor be 1440 p, it turns on.

First of all, I have encountered this problem about 5 minutes after the first plug in my new graphics card and setting the DPI to the middle.

Change to a different RFP on the graphics card doesn't seem to help.

I uninstalled the dell software as suggested on another thread, and I still have the question.

In addition, it seemed I had them both working on 1440 p but after a a time power off screen.

Now, when I try and redefine this 1440 p screen, it goes all black and I can't access the menu of monitors.

Any suggestions? I paid a heavy tax for these 1440 p monitors and upgrading my graphics card for my office installation program.

    Thank you

I managed to solve the problem by selecting mode DP 1.2 in my monitors settings.

For some reason, the monitors are delivered with it's off and it seems that it cannot manage 1440 p well when its turned off the coast.

  • Double configuration monitor - only a monitor displays the login screen 2nd monitor is black

Hello, I searched Hi and low and starts to believe that it is just not possible from messages of others.  But since the last time this question has been posted in 2011, I'm hoping that there was a resolution.

How can I get my secondary monitor to show an image (any image would be great), while my computer is locked or simply putting in operation and reached the login screen.  Currently my secondary monitor shows just a black screen.  I do not want my screen to extend completely on two monitors (mosaic on nvidia video card) because when I do, my taskbar spans also the length of the two screens.  I like to use click once on my programs, rather than cluttering up my desktop with icons and you install vertically between the two monitors. I am unable to do otherwise.  Please let me know if anyone knows how to do this.  Thank you

    Hello

    Please contact Microsoft Community.

I suggest you follow the steps mentioned and see if it helps:

    Method 1:

Duplicate the display settings and check if you can view the screen saver in the monitor extended as well.

    To change your display settings

    1. open the screen resolution by clicking on the Start button, Control Panel, and then, under appearance and personalization, click on adjust the screen resolution.

    2. click on the dropdown next to several screens, click on duplicate these appear, and then click OK.

The option appears only when Windows detects multiple displays, more than one monitor connected to your PC.

    Note:

o If you don't see an option named multiple displays in your display settings, then Windows isn't detecting a second monitor plugged into your desktop computer. Or else, it does not detect an external monitor plugged into your laptop. When Windows detects this monitor, it will appear in the drop-down list next to the screen. If you do not see that what listed there, try click on Detect.

o ensure that the monitor you want to extend your desktop to is turned on and plugged into the video port appropriate to your computer. You may also need to select the correct source labeled on the controls of your monitor to ensure that the monitor is using the correct video port. For more information, consult the manual of your monitor or go to the manufacturer's Web site.

For more information, see the following link:

    Move windows between multiple monitors

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/move-Windows-between-multiple-monitors

    Method 2:

I suggest you to check the display resolution value for both monitors. Make sure that the resolution of the screen is the same on each display.

For more information, see: get the best display on your monitor

  • Supported double external monitor

Is there a way to support the use of two external monitors moored in the ban?

I found a DisplayPort to DVI - D connector.  Once that happens, I'll give it a try; hook the two up to the base.

  • Problem with the mouse when having double (multiple) monitors follow-up.

I'll start with the configuration of the computer:

The OS is Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit 6.1.7601, Service Pack 1

Guest operating system is Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Service Pack 1

    VMware Workstation Version 8.0.0 build-471780

When I have multiple monitors allowed (the resolution is 1920 x 1080), I can't use the second monitor correctly.  In my setup main monitor is on the right, but the question I have also occurs when the primary monitor is on the left.

In the screen below, I move my mouse to the center of the title bar and click and hold to drag the window.

    1.png

In this screen, you can see the outline of the window I am dragging to the left.  My mouse is now located to the left of the screen to the right about to cross the box to the left of the monitor.

    2.png

You can't see the mouse in the image 3 below, but I'm still it moves horizontally to the left.  The outline of the window, howvever, moves to the right and downwards.

    3.png

In this image of 4th, it is difficult to see the window is now pretty close at the bottom of the screen to the right, but my mouse is completely to the left.

    4.png

The last image shows that when I bring my mouse to the right (primary) screen, the window comes up to proper placement.

    5.png

Another finding is that, so Oh the right browser window and I just move my mouse to the left screen, the mouse will change the pointer and the browser would show the link in the bar which position of the mouse would be poorly determined to be on the right screen on a link in the browser State.

Everything works fine if I keep just to single screen.

Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

    Ed

OK, I've seen the same behavior with:

    Host OS 64-bit Ubuntu 11.04

The OS Windows XP SP3 32-bit

    VMware Player 4.0.1 528992 build

workaround that fixed it was uninstall VMware Tools on the guest (8.8.1 build-528969), reboot,.

then install again with the host operating system were two connected monitors

the upgrade of Joueur3 Joueur4, HW comments to 8.0 and upgrade update: tools, everything has been done with a single monitor for the host operating system... maybe something went wrong then.

  • Double question monitor via the desktop client

I have my test group of users on their existing desktops with two monitors connect to Windows 7 VDs via the customer to view.

Dual screens works fine, but with a minor problem:

When you first connect the VM display spans the middle of the two monitors. Once connected, if you log out of the desktop computer, then reconnect, it will correctly install two monitors.

Anyone know why this is happening or know of a fix? My test users are frustrated by it because it takes more time to go in the morning and some like putting icons on their extended desktop. They keep reallocation to the main display.

If we go with the environment from the view, I use thin clients, but I want to go as well as possible and tests to reproduce the customer environment light as much as possible.

    Thank you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having these problems. Here are some links to help I hope configure you PCoIP without the problem you are experiencing:

It might be useful to completely reconfigure your model with the process described in the methods/settings from the links above.

I hope that these help. We were very pleased to see once it has been implemented 100% correctly. This is a very new technology, so it takes some time to learn it.

I just bought another and it connected via HDMI - DVI Cable.   I can't believe the other to extend in the control panel of Windows 7.

    Any advice?

Well, he can drive 1 external monitor if your internal monitor is turned on. If you need to both player + 1 internal monitor monitors.

You would need a Lenovo ThinkPad USB 3.0 docking station, which is capable of driving more than 2 monitors + 2 which you can control with the E530.

  • Keyboard shortcut to move a window between two monitors instead of drag and drop.

I want a quick way to move a window from one monitor to the other in a double configuration monitor without having to drag the window with the mouse. This is particularly useful for full screen windows since to move, I have to exit full screen, catch them with the mouse and drag them to the other monitor. Ideally, I want something I can do with a keyboard shortcut.

I don't know if this exists, I couldn't find it in a list of keyboard shortcuts. I think it would be an improvement for anyone to use multiple monitors which has good reason to need do to switch between several programs. Since windows looks at multiple monitors and identifies each in the settings of customization like 1, 2, 3, etc, it would make the most sense for me to have one high and one low. So if I have a window screen 2, I can hit a keyboard shortcut to move it to the same spot on monitor 1 (low) or monitor 3 (upwards).

Maybe it exists in form some and I don't find it not, but if not I think it would be very useful, especially for anyone doing graphic design or programming work.

(Also I filled out the form for that matter like windows 7, which is what I use at home, but he put it under the XP forum since that is what the computer I write from is running on.)

Use the following key combination to switch between screens.

"Windows key + SHIFT + key.

    Detailed instructions:
Press in and hold the Windows key and then add and hold down the SHIFT key. While now hold both hit the left or right arrow key to move the current active window left or right.
