When the print cartridge moves

1510 all in one ink cartridges moves, like a machine gun firing about 12 shots.  I use Windows XP and the problem just started 3 days ago.  I have had this printer for some time and love it.  All solutions?  Thank you

When the new cartridges I get testpage first when I give a print command

    Hello

This sounds as if it were a feature of the printer driver.

The best thing to do in this case is to contact the manufacturer of the printer.

Let us know what they have to say.

  • Replace the print cartridge 8600

I am trying to replace the black ink cartridge.  When I open the door on the front of the printer, nothing happens.  The printer cartridge door does not move and is inaccessible.  The printer seems to be on.  The green light is fading power on and off.

  • The print carriage moves do not

The print on my Officejet 6500 Wireless carriage does not move to the Center, so I can replace the print cartridges.

Hi 1954Monument, welcome to the forums there.

I saw your post on the carriage does not move to have replaced ink. I would suggest for you to follow the troubleshooting guide for a jam of transportation to see if that will set in motion again.

    A 'carriage jam '.

If troubleshooting doesn't help not solve your problem, then I would say call the Tech Support of HP to see any replacement or trade in the options for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions: click here.

  • Aligning the print cartridge HP PSC 1500 series printer

I just installed a new ink cartridge and try to align. When I open the HP PSC 1500 Setup page, it gives me the option "align cartridge". When I click on it it opens a dialog box titled 'printer properties '. There is no information on how to align the cartridge.

Thanks for your reply. It didn't really solve my problem. As I've mentioned before, I tried to get the 'how' info from the HP PSC 1500 series control page that displays a link to "aligning the print cartridge. By clicking on this link opens a dialog box that has nothing to do with the alignment of the cartridges. It was not very useful, but eventually, I remembered what I had to do was insert the alignment sheet and press "scan."

  • can you use a deskjet 970cse in black only mode when the color cartridge dries up

can you use a deskjet 970cse in black only mode when the color cartridge dries up? Thank you, Jerry

banhien information is very accurate. I would just add a bit of it. Because this printer uses a tricolor cartridge and a black, it should be one of the printers that will print with just the black cartridge installed. It is called print in backup mode. I should happen automatically when you remove the color cartridge and try printing. A message will arrive on the printer or the computer and ask you if you want to print in backup mode. Say yes, and it should let you print. Hope that helps.

  • print size too large after changing the print cartridge

Sounds like an easy fix should be up there, but I'm not super computer savvy... after that we changed the print cartridge for the first time with this printer (and who knows what may happen after when my husband tried to fix it), the font of printing is too large AND prints a blank page of paper before the actual page prints with a font that is too large to fit properly on paper 8.5 x 11 inches. Normally, there are all the parameters that must be set after simply change an ink cartridge? Help!

  • Aligning the print cartridge HP Photosmart C7280 Print failed - prints in everything but black

When I print, it comes out in pink/red.

I bought all new ink cartridges and done a master reset and I still get the error that does not have the print cartridge alignment.

    Hello

Please try the step and then try alignment process listed below.

on the screen of the printer.

    1. Press the key SETUP (key), then
    2. Then press TOOLS,
    3. Press the CLEAN print head / cartridge.

Make sure that the ink cartridges should be at least 25% full.

Note: you need to repeat the above steps 2 - 3 times.

If issue still persits, it could be a defective black cartridge or print head. In which case you could call the HP Technical Support for assistance.

If you are in the United States, the toll free # is 1-800-474-6836.

If you're not in the United States, and then connect to www.hp.com , bottom left it is an icon of the world map, click it and then select the region that you belong to, which would then provide the support options for you for this region.

  • 4380 all-in-one printer does not detect the print cartridge

My all-in-one printer (model 4380 vivera, bought in Switzerland) does not detect the print cartridges. I traded the color cartridge with that of another, older than I was and now everything is fine. I don't know when, this problem will arise again. The last time I was so frustrated that I bought another printer (HP 2050) which seems to work without problems. I have unplugged, replugged and clean the cartridges with filtered water. The problem may arise at any time. Help, please. Thank you.

I'm sorry you have a problem with your ink not detected.

The problem may be because the printer is of the Switzerland and the ink cartridges are NOT. The printer will only accept cartridges of the same region/country.

For example, if you are in the United States and buy a printer and the cartridges come from GERMANY, he cannot read. Will suit most, but some of the contacts are different causing not well read the cartridge from the printer.

  • Vista and Color Laserjet 5 M reprints all when the printer is turned on?

Vist and Color Laserjet 5 M reprints all when the printer is turned on?

It is a new one on me. I installed the printer with a barrette SIMM Postscript so it would work even at all under Vista and now it prints well but insists on the fact that I have all re - print he has never seen a reason any whenever I turn the printer to print something again.

XP he has never done that, but I've always had the document cannot print the error that I ignored as he did print correctly.

Google has not really revealed anything?

?? Type response level 1 I was looking for... These printers are a full restart, test of memory and when it is off.

But I think I solved it, spent some time on google and there was a suggestion on the spooler in vista, was something like clear keep printed documents or print spooling first, I went also to start printing after the last page. Who took care of a lot of it somehow. Not sure why the generic installation program would need to be changed here. Possible I did for me somehow when I was trying to get the thing to work with the PCL driver too.

Then I noticed that whenever I turned on the printer it is printing a page of demo postscript, for some reason any, it is enabled by default in the SIMM option. Turn power off and now its not wasting so much paper now.

So two things to look for in the computer and the printer.

  • I lose my Internet on my XP computer when the printer is connected to wireless.

My new hp6510 wireless printer works fine but my internet connection is lost when the printer is connected to wireless. I use the printer with a linksys E3000 router. The network has a XP computer, a computer with win7 64-bit. I don't have a problem with the computer to win 7, but the xp computer will drop the internet connection and sometimes I can make it work by repair of the connection to the router, but sometimes I need to restart the computer. If I stop the wireless connection and use the USB it works OK. I tried to get help from HP and Linksysm but no help. I would like suggestions.

  • Wireless connection works only when the printer is turned off

my desktop computer requires an adapter wireless for internet connection.  installation of this card was problematic and I discovered I mean it was because of my printer - a kodak esp 6150 desktop, which can work wireless.    I can only connect wirelessly when the printer is off on this computer.  However, two other laptops that do not need a separate wireless adapter are able to connect wireless when the printer is on.  any suggestions?   Thank you.

  • Do the "keys" on each side of the Envy4500 lights when the printer is turned on?

I just bought two new Envy4500s and at the same time on them, the "key (i.e. up/down, 'ok', etc.) on each side of the display screen does not light up when the printer is turned on."  HP rep said they should, but on any machine they light up. Thus, all "keys" are essentially impossible to see. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Hello @paularose,

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

I see that you are curious about the screen of the HP ENVY 4500 e-all-in-one printer.  I would like to help.

The arrow keys do not light up when the printer is on, but as you can see when you look at your own models, they are clearly identified.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards
