  • Office Pro 8000: Cannot Print/Out of ink error even after installing new cartridge.

When I tried to use my printer a few days ago, I received an error message "can't Print Can: ink" on the magenta cartridge.  I had used the printer a few days before and had not received a low ink warning.  It seemed suspicious to me that I would have received an empty cartridge error message without having previously received a low cartridge warning.  The cartridges yellow and cyan read 70% complete - all 3 were original cartridges.

I bought a new cartridge 940XL magenta and installed according to the instructions.  Now, I get a message that the new 940XL cartridge is empty.  I can shake the old cartridge 940 and hear liquid inside.  Obviously, the new cartridge is also complete.  I tried to electric bike, reinstall the software, etc., without change of status.  If I swap back between the 940 old and new cartridge 940XL, they are correctly identified by type on my screen as the 940 or 940XL.  Because of the way the problem is presented, I don't think it is a cartridge problem.

Of course, problem first awaken on May 8, and my warranty expired on 26 April.  Any suggestions?

I solved my problem, what was obviously a lack of factory Assembly.  I looked inside my printer with a flashlight in the area where the ink cartridges are installed and found sprayed inside the printer magenta ink.  I disassembled the printer and found that the magenta line had been damaged during installation.  There are four tubes of ink that out by behind the ink cartridges, can do a U turn back toward the front of the printer.  Just after the bend, they do an another elbow top neighborhoods.  It is at this point that I found the damaged magenta line, directly above a screw on the right side of the housing of the ink cartridge.  The lines are in a very narrow passage and are held in place by several guards, moulded plastic.  It seems that the lines have been in place in the guardians, then the screws inserted from the top.  As I said, there is a tight passage, and it would be very easy to damage the line of ink right here if the lines have not been carefully selected to insert the screws when mounting.

To solve the problem, I removed about 1/4 inch line damaged magenta ink.  I cut the line with a sharp razor, carefully to avoid collapsing the line or causing burrs to the hose.  I then placed approximately 3/4 "heat self-sealing tube on one end of the line of ink heat shrink.  Then I connected to the line with a small piece of plastic tube rigid of the handle with a swab of cotton, which was a perfect fit and comfortable on the line of ink.  Making sure not to cut the tube of ink or cause other damage, gently twisted the line of ink back until the ends have butted up inside the splice of cotton swab.  I then positioned the shrink tube over splice and it shrunk with a hair dryer.  Heat shrink tube, I used a hot melt glue applied to the Interior, which has helped more away making a watertight splice.  Again, it is not a lot of space, so the splice should remain small.

I reassembled the printer, reinstalled ink cartridges and powered by the printer.  After the normal, long time running, I printed full color sheets and everything was fine.  Already that I had installed the cartridge magenta watch now that it is complete, and the remaining cartridges also read the levels they had before disassembly.

  • After installing new cartridges, printer icon says printer is off line. Tried to go in the passage of the off-line online, without any change.

The printer itself doesn't seem to be the problem. Have disconnected the cables, and the message is offline, offline. Reconnect and he said just in offline mode. This makes me think that it is a software that I'm not waking up switching.

I did the online diagnostics and he thinks that the printer is turned off. But it's not. Were do form here?

  • OfficeJet pro died with installed new cartridges

I just installed a complete set of new cartridges in my officejet pro more than 8600, and less than a week, he died. Troubleshooting with hp support online and the diagnosis is food dead internal; cannot be replaced. Now, I want to know if I can get the printer of the new cartridges that I just installed which cost me over $ 100. I can't have the power to the printer. Any ideas?

I answered my own question while I expected a response from the community. I have removed the screws at the back of the printer and managed to lift open in the rear, enough to get my hand inside and remove the whole print head and cartridges by lifting the white lever.

    There you go.

  • Printer HP Deskjet 3050 has prayer after installing new cartridge HP

After replacing the black cartridge the wrong printer aligns the chops from the top of the page and forget the lines print. I tried all the recommended soplutions. Even the alignment page has half of it missing, so is not recognized by the printer. Even if printing from my computer or just copy. Is there a way to reset top factory of the printer page and start again?

    Hi DavidAH,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that your HP Deskjet 3050 went wrong aligns the chops from the top of the page and missing print lines.

    I recommend the following guides:

1.) "alignment Failed" Error Message displays on the all-in-one.

    2.) Troubleshooting print quality problems.

    3.) reset of the printer.

Hope this information helps and have a nice day.

  • Installed new cartridges - always shows 1/2 empty in utility

I just installed all 4 cartridges (ALL NEW) and the utility shows them in various stages of almost empty.  How can I reset the utility in order to reflect the amount of ACTUAL of the ink in the cartridge?

I will pass your message on the impression of Mac forum, someone may be able to make some suggestions.

  • Misalignment cartridge after installing new cartridge

On my J6480, the black print cartridge ink level was very low, so that impressions and copies were very poor. I do most of my copy in black, while during printing I use color. So I ordered another cartridge 74xl black and just to have a backup of color also decided to order another cartridge three-color 75xl. The current tricolor cartridge ink level went made just for the cartridge was still about 85% or more, then the black cartridge was approximately 15% or more before I replaced it.

After getting my new black cartridge, I took the old one and put in the new. Then the printer ran on the new cartrdige alignment and alignment does not! After trying a few times I have replaced the old cartridge Habs, even if the Panel showed it to about 85%, the with a new and now alignment succeeded.

Why would be to have an alignment to fail completely new black print cartridge, even with a tricolor cartrdige always at a fairly high level? The former Habs is still usable? Should I try to clean it and reuse it? I looked at my old tricolor cartridge contacts and they seemed fine. No idea why put in a new black cartridge fails with an old tricolor cartridge alignment, even if the control panel command shows the level of the Tricolor cartridge is high enough, would be appreciated.

The alignment will fail if the colour and black cartridges will not print correctly.  I suggest you put the old cartridge in and then print a page of diagnosis as on the Six Solution of the document here.  If the color bars do not print correctly the steps described in this document can help solve the problem.

Do not replace the Ribbon on regardless of the color cartridge, you let the printer, as this would cause a color mixture that will ruin the cartridge.  If you don't have a cartridge door, then store it as described in this document.

  • DeskJet 832c disappeared ink after new cartridges installed.

I have a deskjet 832c missing ink after installing new cartridges (23/45).   Strange, but just recently, it does not print MS Word doc but prints OutLook e-mail.  Test page prints OK but faded.  B & W only options but no change and tried to color.  Removed the printer and let Win re-find-the XP (drivers) and no change.  any ideas?

    No lights or error messages.

No new application installed on the PC.

    O/s updates are performed regularly.

Identify the root cause.  The date code on the cartridge has been since 2008!  Apparently, I had an old cartridge laying around and finally take advantage.  After the installation of a "fresh" cartridge (2014 date code), the printer is back to normal.

I always find it interesting that 2008 cartridge didn't print documents from MS word but print e-mail and test pages OK (but faded) w / the option to print black and white...

    in any case, case closed.

  • Installed new toner, does not print color

I have a Photosmart 6525 all-in-one printer and the black toner was low, so I bought new genuine HP toner - 564XL. I installed the toner and received a message on my computer thank me for the installation of an original cartridge. However, when I go to print anything, the black is not printing. The toner level shows that the black is full. Maybe I should have bought a non-genuine toner cartridge if authentic one does not!

FYI: I received help on this problem over the phone. In case anyone else has this problem, what measures are being taken to solve the problem.

The color cartridges are low on ink, so I had to replace both (because apparently black HP isn't really just black... it's all the colors too. Great way to make us buy more HP ink!). After installing new cartridges color, I cleaned the cartridge heads and realigned. After that, everything worked.

    Hope that helps someone.

  • Photosmart HP 7520: HP photosmart 7520 error remains after the new cartridges installed

HP new cartridges installed, the error message "one or more cartridges appear to be damaged or missing" yellow cartridge is indicated, two new cartridges have been installed, without success.  Device has been turned on several times but the error message remains the same. The pocket of ink has been packed to remove any residue, did not help.

    Hi @gl40,
  • New cartridge HP 1320, installed, print without error messages and blank pages.

HP laserjet 1320 running Windows 7 a new cartridge installed. About 20 pages have been printed perfectly well use few months. A day after the image were printed and the printer was arrested after the execution of the work; then, when the printer was turned on to the different print document, it has started printing blank pages without error since the same test page.

The Q5949XC cartridge was removed and turned to redistribute the toner in addition to recycle power but the problem persists.

    Please notify.

    Thank you.

Try to print a test page for the device control panel & see the result.

If internal printer test pages doesn't have an image printed on (blank page), try to replace (if available) by another toner cartridge or toner cartrdige tested with another printer of the work.  This is to confirm if the fault is with the toner cart. or with the printer hardware.

If the fault is with the printer hardware, then you may have to contact HP technical support & have the product hardware identified & solved problem.

  • Printers HP 7520: Error Message "missing or damaged cartridge" displays when you install the new cartridge.

When you install a new ink cartridge, we received an error message "missing or damaged cartridge. This was a new cartridge and seemed to be completely inserted in the carrier. There was no visible skin damage to the cartridge. Is there something that we are missing?

    Hi BobbyBaby,

I'm sorry, you get an error message with your cartridge.  Sometimes there is a problem with the electrical connections and this can be fixed by rubbing and replace the cartridge.

Here is a document to check that you are not missing anything.

I hope that this clears the error message for you.
