The SG300 - 28 p - Firmware upgrade error

Greeting is I downloaded Sx300_FW_Boot_1.4.0.88 update of firmware for switch SG300 - 28 p. The MD5 of the file signature match as listed on Cisco, but when I'm the download of the firmware (file .ros) to the switch I get the error message:

Bytes transferred: 7011840

Status: Failed to copy
Error message: copy: the code SW file size is more

Anyone else having the same problem? No work around?

Thank you!

Parth.

Hello

I like to think to upgrade the bootloader file(sx300_boot-13506.rfb) first, before trying the firmware. Boot loader are on the same zip folder as the firmware.you can use TFTP server to upgrade the bootstrapper.

Interface WEB SG300 Cisco > Administration > file management > TFTP... When you select TFTP option for the fw 'BOOT' button is now available. Just type the name of the file and it should load the boot firmware.

  • SPA303 firmware upgrade error

Hi all. First post of the day.

    A bit of my environment.

Windows 7 Pro release for consumption. No antivirus. Configuration of very simple House. Launch of the update to my laptop. Phone is plugged into a switch on the same subnet. Phone IP = 192.168.0.223. Laptop IP 192.168.0.100. I am able to browse the phone browser to http://192.168.0.223 settings

I am attempting to apply v7.6.1 Upgrade Firmware for my SPA303. It appears v7.5.2 than the current version. I downloaded the appropriate files to the download section of Cisco firmware.

I have run spa50x-30-x-7-4 - 6.exe / upgrade process starts, but still results in this:

After scouring the internet for a while, I came across this, but it did not help either

The solution by trial and error, was to use a URL to a web server that had the .bin on that file.  In my case, I had a local web server, I copied the file and then use the URL:

    http://MySPAAddr/upgrade?http://MyWebServer/theSPAupdatefile.bin

Your time and your help would be greatly apppreciated. Thank you all in advance

    You asked:

    I have run spa50x-30-x-7-4 - 6.exe

It's 7.4.6 the file, so downgrade to 7.5.2

If you want to upgrade to 7.6.1 use 7-6-1 exe file.

Note No pre 7.5.2b firmware cannot evolve into a post 7.5.2b version. You should read the guidance prior to an upgrade of the firmware.

Published later: better to say - no pre 7.5.2b firmware can be upgraded to a version of 7.5.2b post in a single step. You must first set to 7.5.2b, then to something more recent

  • The Linksys BEFSR41 V2 Firmware upgrade help

I can't open the MacBinary (.bin) files that I downloaded from linksys, in order to update my firmware. I used my utility to archive, Stuffit Expander Mac and BetterZip, and so far none of them opens the file. Anyone have the firmware upgrade in a different format or advice on how to solve my problem.

Do not touch the file you downloaded. The only software that uses it is your browser.

You must open the web interface of the router at http://192.168.1.1/ and then use the upgrade of the firmware here.

I don't know if the demo user interface is always up to date, but if it is as you should find it on the help page. See here. Click Update Firmware. Then, press the Browse button and select the .bin file that you downloaded. Then press upgrade and the browser will download the file on the router.

  • The SPA3102 firmware upgrade error

    Hello

Although I used my SPA3102 for a few years, she has recently become problematic. I sometimes hear audible clicking from the device that is associated with a red light flashes briefly on the power LED. If I'm on the phone at the time, the call is completed.

I hope that a firmware update will address the issue, but I have been unable to upgrade 3.3.6 (GW). If I'm on a Mac, I don't understand the method of upgrading firmware using http or tftp. Fortunately, I ran Windows XP under Parallels Desktop for Mac and have been able to run the upg-spa3102-5-1-10-GW.exe program. However, a message is displayed: error in upgrading the firmware of the SPA > upgrade failed: no response from the SPA.

Reading various forum posts on similar such problems, I was not able to find the solution.

I have disabled the firewall on my Mac, the router (D-Link DSL 504 T) ADSL and Windows XP.

I confirmed that the IP address of the SPA is 10.1.1.3

I made sure that the firmware update is enabled in the Provisioning of the SPA configuration.

I would be very happy to help you please.

    Thank you

  • PEGATRON (Asus) M2N68 - THE narrated 6.01 CPU Upgrade - error: CPU support is not installed

I have an AMD Phenom II X 4 965, I want to put in a Compaq Presario CQ5308UK.

    The motherboard is a v6.01 PEGATRON (ASUS) CORP. M2N68 - THE Narra6

    It says here

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01925534

that my motherboard supports the AMD Phenom II X 4 965. So I ordered a.

My BIOS version is 5.20, I can't find any update for this, but when I got him and turn on there is a black screen and then it says:

    ERROR: Unsupported CPU installed.

PC will turn off automatically in a few seconds.

    Then it turns off.

Support have been absolutely useless. I can't believe that this is said, sustained and so no one wants if handle does not. WTF is HP playing at?

Anyone got any ideas on this, or is it a loss of 150 quid and a new rule to never buy HP, once again, never?

Help would be greatly appreciated to get this working processor is supposed to be supported.

    PresarioOwner,

I replied to your MP, but for the sake of those that the thread of analysis, I'll reiterate it here.

I had studied this for Fattysgonewild the other day (didn't know it was the same MB ask everything).   The list of processors it displayed was me - and all those who have shipped us or could ship with the motherboard, it asked of (dependent on power supply installed, etc.).

The problem here is that all of the processors, this motherboard can support are all Socket AM3 with maximum TDP 95W.   The CPU you are trying to use is a 125W CPU - and the BIOS knows the jury cannot provide much more current and tell.  I confirmed this with the R & D at HP engineer responsible for this motherboard.

An update of the BIOS can not change that.  Even if we could be hacked, the jury would probably overheat and fail shortly after.

I found the following on Wikipedia that did a good job to summarize the features different Phenom processors that are available:

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_Phenom_microprocessors

As for the motherboard plug - I see not Cree 9XX - 965 more precisely.  My guess is that the motherboard plug were posted at the time of the introduction of Narra6.   Usually, when they offer a 'special edition' or 'black label' CPU - it's a fine edition/upgrade in the product range.   I will send a request to the documentation team with a recommendation to update the document to specify maximum TDP 95W.

They would not allow you to return the CPU, but maybe they can let you swap the CPU for one that will work...

    Good luck...

  • Discovers the connection Server 5.2 upgrade error "user lacks sufficient privileges.

Yesterday, I posted a problem I had with the upgrade of the composer, which has now been resolved. The next step is the upgrade of the connection to the server, but I ran into an issue here as well. When running the executable of 5.2, I receive an error message regarding the user's permissions. The message I get is:

"The currently logged-on user has sufficient privileges on the existing instance of Directory Services. Please log in as a user with administrator display rights and then try to use this facility. "(screenshot attached)

I am connected to 2 k 8 R2 Server under an account that has Local Admin and Admin View Doman Admin privileges. By examining the log file for the installation to fail, I noticed these lines toward the end:

    ...

serverInstUtil: 04/04/13 10:30:46 DN = or = Groups, dc = vdi, dc is vmware, dc = int
serverInstUtil: 04/04/13 10:30:46 LDAP search failed - 32 (No Such Object).
serverInstUtil: 04/04/13 10:30:46 ERROR: the user does not have administrator display on the LDAP instance existing rights.
    serverInstUtil: 04/04/13 10:30:48 end Logging

    ...

It tries to authenticate with some local LDAP, rather than the internal LDAP protocol that we have specified during installation. Is this a normal behavior?

I've never had a problem with the upgrade so that it is not a question of privileges display in your environment. Permissions for domain users are managed by the local instance of LDAP (AD LDS - formerly called ADAM) on the view connection server.

When you installed the server to connect to the view you specified the domain user (or group) who has the full right to the environment from the view. You also have the option of specifying that all users of Windows local administrators to have full rights to view you want. By administrator-display, you can later add (or remove) more people having this right.

Even if you are connected to the server as a user with domain administrator rights, this user does not have administrator display rights and that is why you get the error message. You can check by logging in under this same user administrator mode and see if you have the full right of the display.

  • Fake H710p PERC? -Firmware upgrade error

    Hallo,

I recently bought a DELL PERC's H710p to the address but I can't update the firmware or install the driver. I always get an error like:
    "No controllers present or detected."

First I thought that this is because the PERC H710p is not supported on a DELL R710 server. But after some research, I found something weird.

The reason why the update of the firmware fails is simply the fact, that the "SUBDEV = 1f38" required when updating cannot be fond. My 'H710p' has a different SUBDEV. His SUBDEV is 1f77. So my question is, I bought some controller "false"?

If this is not a 'fake' controller, what should I do to update my H710p and how to install the drivers?

    Thank you

Controllers H710 series have been tested and validated in the Dell only 12 servers (such as the PE 720) generation.   Further, check your H710p came from a Precision Workstation.  The following valid this information, which came from the file nocheck.bat for this controller:

    OFF @Echo
    CLS

    put the FW = 21.0.2 - 0002
    Set ROM = H710PAWS.rom
    SUBDEV = 1f77 set
    DOS32A = set / AC /NOWARN:9004

You will need this patch: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/driverdetails?driverid=CGM2K which is the latest available for this particular controller.

The controller may or may not work in your PE710, it just has not been tested or validated.  Good luck!

  • SGE2010 - Firmware upgrade and config does not save

    Hi all

I have a few questions, but ill start with what im trying to achieve.

With the help of the EMS 2010 for Microsoft NAP with 802.1 x auth for access to the switch, which has led to some questions

What I have: an EMS 2010 48 port switch firmware 3.0.0.17

Firmware update: to ensure im not having not problems due to the old firmware, I tried to upgrade using ros_ls1_bp_ge_bx - 3020.ros to 3.0.2, by downloading the file through TFTP, the transfer is complete and that's all, nothing happens.

Restarting the device: as part of the upgrade process, I thought I might restart, so I rebooted and found that all my settings were cleaned, as if a reset occurred... and add further pain, the backup of the settings I had taken do not appear to introduce themselves with a new request.

NAP support: so I tested my server NPS (RADIUS) with NTRadping.exe and everything is good, however I can't the SGE2010 to talk to it... the authenticator State in the web interface is still listed as initializing... I'm not sure if it is a simple mismatch (where the attempt of a firmware upgrade), a tag that should be on the side of RADIUS or switch misconfig.

    So, in summary:

    (1) how the hell you upgrade the firmware?

    (2) why are none of my saved settings to restart the device?

    (3) if anyone one of them puts up with PAN and has all wisdom of bone beads, let me know.

Hi Ben, once you update the firmware, you need to go to the active image, apply the second image. Restart the unit. Regarding the configuration of switch, you must save the configuration running at startup configuration

Admin-> file management-> copy files (running at startup)

  • LaserJet M4345 MFP firmware upgrade failure using the HP Download Manager

    Hi all

I have a LaserJet M4345 multifunction printer, and I tried to see if there is any updated firmware for the printer.
When I try to access the web configuration interface, I see that the printer is running a firmware with 20070213 code 09.071.8

I downloaded the software from the HP Download Manager to try to update the printer automatically with a simple procedure.

The program finds the printer and said that she needed upgrade. He showed that the printer is model J7949E and current firmware V.33.14 while the update of the Firmware version has been V.33.21

I leave the program to start the process of update, but as soon as I said to start the update immediately (do not), a new window will appear showing the status of update and it closed after less than a second, replaced by another saying that the firmware update was complete.

Although I was skeptical about the process in so little time, I tried to check again the printer web configuration interface, but it showed that the firmware was always the same, I saw earlier (20070213 09.071.8). To try to detect the printer from the Manager software download HP found that the printer was still need upgrading (and asked me if I wanted to do now). Try once led to the same results.

I tried to restart the printer, the program and the computer with no result.

I'm running Windows 7 32 bit and the printer is connected to the router which I connect this pc wireless.

If I can provide any other information, please let me know.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    Piero

Hey Unreal, the product that you have is a printer. These commercial products can be a little tricky. For the best chance of finding a solution, I would post in the forum for HP Business Support.

You can find the Board Commercial LaserJet here:

  • Problem the firmware upgrade failed WRT54G v8.2

Today I tried to upgrade my WRT54G Router v8.2 for the latest Linksys firmware. But the upgrade was repeated each time when the progress bar reaches about 75%. It lasted more than 30 minutes and I had stopped the upgrade. Then the router has stopped working. I have reset and hard reset the router. I also tried the method of tftp to upgrade the firmware again. But the problem is still there. When I ping 192.168.1.1, I always get the message "Destination host unreachable". Could someone help me solve this problem? The power and light of the ethernet port light are always on. Is it possible to solve the problem? Any information is appreciated. Thank you very much.

Do not use the wireless computer to update the firmware. Hard-reset the router for 1 minute and try this link and check if it works...

Roll back the version Home Premium SP1 will allow me to upgrade to Ultimate, or is there something else that needs to be done? Thank you.

    That should do it.

Here's the General information about your problem:

On your installed operating system Service Pack level cannot be greater than what is on the disk to upgrade.

Click Start > right click on computer > properties > system > it will tell you which SP you have install.

"How to uninstall Windows Vista service packs"

If the OS installed Service Pack 2 and Service Pack 1 upgrade disk > uninstall SP2 installed operating system > install the upgrade > reinstall SP2.

And run the upgrade of a Vista operating system.

    See you soon.

  • After restart of the firmware upgrade

Hi, I need to update the firmware on my controllers PS6100 EqualLogic.

I found the instructions on how to do it and everything seems straight forward to do so via the GUI.

I noticed there is a necessary restart after the firmware has been applied. Does this mean I have to gracefully shutdown the virtual machines running on my SAN LUNS? My iSCSI connections will be closed/broken during the restart of the post firmware upgrade?

    Thank you, Oliver.

    Hello Oliver,.

In the same area download notes firmware and release is another PDF, entitled ' iSCSI initiator and optimize your SAN environment for high availability operating system considerations ", which includes some key parameters that will allow your computers virtual and servers through the failover time.  It is important that not only the Firmware update, but in the case of an unexpected failure due to a failure of CM.

More if you use VMware ESXi, there is a best practices PDF for that as well.  In addition to better manage the failover, these changes have shown to improve performance as well.

The Tech report TR1091 is available here:

    http://en.community.Dell.com/TechCenter/Extras/m/white_papers/20434601/download

Changes for Windows and the knots of ESXi virtual machines will require a reboot to take effect.

What version of firmware you are at, and what version you are migrating towards?

Other things I always propose updates is to ensure that both controllers are plugged in your switch and in the VLAN correct.  Since assets CM are failed over to the passive, support gets much advertising is unable to access the storage after firmware update.  Or ports of the day before were not in the VLAN correct, or individuals with disabilities, etc...

It is for these reasons that personally I prefer to do the updates via the serial port CLI.   The process is more talkative, and if something should go wrong, you need the serial port of some sort.   Since the installation and tested in advance is a huge time saver.   Here, we use serial mux so that all array controllers are easily accessible.

    Kind regards

  • PhotoSmart 6520 firmware upgrade questions

    Greetings!

I had no problem with my printer, until I "upgraded" from Win 7 to 8 Win. Initially, he printed for a few days, and then he stopped. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver at least twice. I tried the HP print and Scan Doctor, who finally found the printer, but still couldn't print the test page. Then I tried HP Diagnostic Utility, which managed to do print and make a copy. But it would not print regular documents. Then I found the firmware update for my printer, who, by description, it looks like it will completely solve my problem. I go as far as the screen that says to make sure that my printer is connected via USB, powered to the top and not in an error state. Check, check and. Then when I hit the update, it tells me that the update of the device can not move forward, and ensure that my printer is connected via USB, powered to the top and not in an error state. The display is normal, the cables are well connected, etc.. Help, please!  I'm terribly frustrated.

    Thank you

    Grace
