want 5660 Wireless: scanning to email story want 5660

The hp envy 5660 has a scan to email story? When I scan to e-mail it sends directly from the printer and does not send to outlook which means that it does not appear in the sent items folder. I have to not only know with certainty that these scans have been sent, but also when and to whom for commercial purposes. Any help is appreciated!

Hello

No, it does not keep this. In fact, it uses your email address to send. It would be nicer if all sent items are in your sent box.

Kind regards.

    Hello

Sorry to hear about the problems you're having with scanning to E-mail. I mainly use the scan to Email from the printer and leave the PC of the equation.  Answer the questions below if you are interested in getting setup in this way.

    1. Web services are enabled?
    2. The printer is connected to a wireless network with Internet access?
    3. You have created a sweep to the e-mail account via the front panel of the printer?
    4. What does the last part of the email address (domain) that you configure the account with the look like?
    • NOTE: Do not answer with the full e-mail address, the entire domain. For reasons of confidentiality, the moderators will remove it if you do. Just reply with the e-mail domain, examples: @hp.com, @AOL.com and so on.

Hello, the Laserjet printer you have does not support stand-alone scanning to e-mail. HP, however, has a number of inkjet printers who manage the scan to email via the pritner - pritner to installation over network with wireless access to the Internet, select web services and create a scan to e-mail with an e-mail account. You don't need a PC to configure the printer, and you don't need a PC to send scans. Here are the models that support. (I'm in the US and do not know what is available in your area)

    Hello @twinec, greetings!

Thank you for joining the Forums of HP Support! I came across the question you posted, and I want to help you with the best of my knowledge.

You can try a manual DNS address assignment to fix most of the analysis of the questions by e-mail. Try the steps mentioned below and check:

    • Get the IP address of the printer, you can touch the 'Wireless' icon on the Control Panel printer to get the IP address.
    • Type the IP address in your web browser to get the EWS page on your computer printer.
    • Go to the 'Network' tab - click on "wireless (802.11), and then click «network address (IPv4)»»
    • Click on the radio button that says 'Manual of the DNS server' and under manual type favorite 8.8.8.8 and manual replacement enter 8.8.4.4 (it is Google's DNS server address)
    • Save the settings. Restart your modem, router and printer.

Let me know how it goes! Good luck

We have tried to re-boot and unplugging everything already.  Please can someone help.

    Thank you.

    Hi Nancy_AMS,

I want to help you with the error to connect to the server, that you face. Looks like you are using a scanning of email app from the front panel of the printer, if this is true, follow these steps to solve the problem.

1 obtain the IP address of your printer

    a. This can be done by pressing the icon on the printer wireless.

    2. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.

    3. Select the tab network at the top of the page.

    4. on the left, select network.

    5. Select Network (IP) address

    6. select manual DNS server

    a. manual Preferred DNS should read 8.8.8.8

    b. alternate DNS server should read. 8.8.4.4

    7. Select apply you could get a fair warning select OK.

Let me know if that solves the problem.

For example, HP has a mail server problem, solutions?

    Printer model: HP ENVY 5530

    Hey @lgstorbay,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.  I hope you enjoy your experience here.

I understand that you are unable to scan to email using your HP ENVY 5530 e-all-in-one printer.  I would like to work with you on this. I have some suggestions that could restore this functionality for you.

When users encounter this type of problem in general, I suggest from scratch with wireless printer, webservices and scan to e-mail setup.  You can clear all of these parameters in a swoop by the factory default restore * your printer.

    Here's how:

    * Note that this step resets the setting up your printer wireless, address ePrint and other custom print settings. If you have created a custom address @hpeprint.com it is permanently erased. For more information about custom addresses ePrint, click here. In addition, you need to add your printer via Google Cloud Print, if you have completed this step. Click here for instructions.

    • Front panel of the printer, arrow down and select Tools
    • Select restore default

Then touch the wireless icon, run the Wireless Setup Wizard to restore your network connection, and then tap the Webservices () and reactivate your webservices.

If you are able to successfully reactivate your webservices, tap on the icon of your printer wireless () and make a note of the IP address of the printer.  Then, follow these steps to configure a manual DNS:

    • Enter the printer's IP address in a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer) and press ENTER to go directly to this page.
    • Click the network tab.
    • In the submenu on the left, click Networking.
    • Then click on the network (IP) address.
    • Click Manual DNS server.
    • DNS preferred as 8.8.8.8 manual entry
    • Auxiliary DNS server entry as 8.8.4.4
    • Click on apply to finalize this change.

Then, tap the scan icon and enter the e-mail address you want to scan to.  Then, recover the PIN than you should automatically receive and complete your scan to contact the installer.  Ideally, if you are able to get this good service will be fully functional.

Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post.  If I helped you to solve the problem, feel free to say "You rock!" by clicking the "Thumbs Up" icon below and by clicking to accept this solution.

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.  Have a great day!

  • HP7520: HP7520 - scan to email problel

Hi, I read a lot of emails about the scanning to email questions. I have the same problem as others. Scanning to email worked perfectly well for months. Now he returns constantly with the message "unable to connect to wireless services.
I tried all the suggestions to the HP site and entering codes 8888 and 8844 under my IP address etc etc.
Can someone please send me the email that seems to have solved one similar problem to others?
    Thank you very much

    Hello @AllyMcBeal ,

    Welcome to the HP forum.

I understand that you are getting a server connection error when trying to scan to e-mail.

I want to help you with this.

I realize that you have already configured a manual DNS.

There are two things I want to make sure that you have done before resetting the printer.

    1. turn off the printer.

Then unplug power to your router or a minute.

    Wait a minute.

Reconnect the power on the router.

    Turn on the printer.

When the blue light wireless on the printer stops flashing, try scanning to e-mail.

    2. remove web services.

Tap the ePrint icon in the upper left corner of the screen.

go to settings, select Remove web services.

If you have customized the address printers ePrint, you will lose the address.

There is unfortunately no way to retrieve e-mail. He'll be gone for good.

After removing the web services, you will be sent to the main screen.

Press again the ePrint and enable web services.

When print information sheet, go to scanning to e-mail.

You will need to set it up again like you did the first time.

Also, if you are familiar with your router, check the following settings.

    -Multicast must be enabled
    -Hello activated * for Airprint
    -Mac filtering should be disabled
-Also, make sure that your router has an update of the current firmware if
    necessary

Ports to open are: * Eprint and Apps

    (Inbound) UDP ports
    80
    443

    (Outbound) TCP ports
    5222
    5223

Finally, I sent you the reset via private message. Please ensure that the above elements have been done or scrutiny before resetting the printer.  Please read this post from Bob_Headrick, regarding the reset of the printer.

Thanks for getting back to me with your Scan-to-Email method. I did some additional research in the area of e-mail sending the issue that you are experiencing and found the following information:

  • Scan to email using gmail as SMTP

I have a printer HP Office Jet Pro 8600 N911g.  I have this configuration currently with the network folder scan works very well.  I would like to set the scan to email.  As Headquarters uses the Exchange I have to use another service for SMTP.  Set up a Gmail account and puched in appropriate settings, but the device is unable to connect to gmail.  I tried several ports without success, I also tried to configure the e-mail server settings, again try several ports without success.  I tried using all the combinations using SSL and SMTP authentication, but nothing seems to connect.

Gmail actually works, I have seen some say yes, others say no.  Is there another service that could work outside my corporate network or do I need to set up an internal, just e-mail server so that I can scan to e-mails?
